Official Ranking System Discussion and Theories
Mr. Jay replied to way2g00d's topic in General Zombies Discussion
At least I know where to start. I have seen people with Shot guns at <150K/D radio. Has it been generally proven that 200+ is to obtain, but what is the number to maintain to stay at shot gun? I was too lazy to go through 24 pages of theories and guesses without much facts. You could understand that. -
Official Ranking System Discussion and Theories
Mr. Jay replied to way2g00d's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Could someone analyze my ranking? approximately 155k kills, 952 downs, 3k revives. How do I reach Shot gun from here? I'm very tired of BO2 and want to head back to some BO1 maps but want to leave as a shot gun. Much appreciated. -
In Case You Didn't Know, Bo2 Vs Bo1
Mr. Jay replied to Mr. Jay's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Alrighty,, let me go into detail. In a regular online game, all stats count. On solo, if you dont want your down to count toward your career stat, then as soon as you go down, right when either who's who or quick revive is taking effect, pause the game and head to you PSN/Xbox menu and quit the game. All stats will count except your down. This method however, during custom games, nullifies all stats. So yes, stats do count during a custom game. Unless you quit the game. Quitting the game is different from leaving the game. -
Cool intro. Also much sympathy for being married to that guy. I kid.

In Case You Didn't Know, Bo2 Vs Bo1
Mr. Jay replied to Mr. Jay's topic in General Zombies Discussion
BO1 zombies behind windows are very predictable, and easily knifable. We all know about BO2 knifing mechanics. Stats for custom games count, except for rounds. And if you quit the game, then the stats don't count. -
Most systems work as long as the people don't abuse it. I have always been neutral with the brain system. Sure it is fun, but the same four guys braining one another for no valid reasons will ruin it for others. But great work, kudos for your efforts.

Two years ago I read this religiously, along with the complete solo guide trying to get better. I still suck but I have progressed much since becoming a member. playing with Way helps too, as he has always held my hand with each new map. Where have you gone Way? Baby slowing you down?

Single Player Zombies...worth It?
Mr. Jay replied to AlphaOmega's topic in General Zombies Discussion
This topic has been beaten many times and twisted many ways. However, each time answers are a bit different. I think BO2 was designed to encourage more solo play, evident by the solo leaderboards and career stats, as well as the rage quit factor completely nullifies coop games. Solo obviously is easier for high rounds and patching stats. Everything goes according to your plans and no surprises. It is the same reason why it's so boring, the game is so linear and so predictable. Coop presents more of a challenge, but much more fun especially with your buddies. Getting to round 30 joking with your friends not only redefines entertainment, but with satisfying results. During my stints on BO2, I heavily prefer solo in fear of shitting my stats. En route to round 20 solo you amass 500+ kills easily, something coop may require round 30+ to do; a much tougher task with far more risks to go down. Although I have achieved more than 3000+ revives on 950 downs, I did it mostly on scrubs and immature imbeciles whom I purposely search for my stats. I very much prefer coop, because it is more fun. With that said, BO2 was not as coop friendly as BO1. -
Hello I Am Thirst48, Zombie Slaying Professional
Mr. Jay replied to Thirst48's topic in Introductions
Welcome. Had a great game with Thirst and his group on Five. Definitely thumbs up, decent team players. -
New theme is fine, but a bit of challenge to maneuver on mobile devices. I have made my peace with it. The mobile GUI is god awful. Browsing the topics parallel sorting thru the Matrix. I'm not at all tech savy so not sure what is possible and what are doable. If it somewhat mirrors the main theme then its a thumbs up. Sorry to sound like a jack ass. If it helps I have no hard feelings toward you, and very much appreciate your help saving the forum.

In Case You Didn't Know, Bo2 Vs Bo1
Mr. Jay replied to Mr. Jay's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I have never tried it on coop, but solo as soon as I go down, I pause the game and go to the main Playstation menu and quit the game. Log back on and most stats will count except for your down. This will only work if you have QR or Whos Who. As you said, there are time kills and revives do not count until you play another game and end it properly. Never ever ever ever ever ever everever ever ever ever ever everever ever ever ever ever everever ever ever ever ever ever has a down counted this way. Could you eleborate? Thought only one could get the knife. I went back to this morning to test the knife pick up. The new knife is red, and actually picks itself when you walk by, thus misleading me previously thinking it could not be picked up. Apologies for the false into. -
Hate to start the new relationship with Hells Warrior this way, but I absolutely hate the new theme, especially the mobile version. Hoping for new and improvement of the mobile version.

If you were a hardcore player from BO1 you have noticed BO2's mechanics are slightly different. You might not be able to list every major difference from North to South Korea, but you were conscious enough to know they are not the same. Jay is nice enough to list the major differences in both versions, feel free to add anything forgotten. -Stun factor- In BO1 you could stun zombies from attacking you by shooting them. While they are being attacked their slaps are ineffective. In BO2 this feature has been eliminated. -Zombie encroachment- In BO1 you only hear the zombie sound when they are either respawning or approaching. Very evident that a zombies is approaching. BO2 that sound is constant as long as zombies are still active. -Lava effects- In Green Run and all sub maps lava does damage to you and zombies. Zombies on fire will explode upon dying, further damaging surrounding characters. On BO1 round 30 a full hoard takes 5-6 Mustang and Sallies, on Green Run utilizing the lava effect a full hoard can be had with 3-4 shots. Explosives are non effects in the lava. -Krauss Refib- Krauss cannot be picked up in BO2. -Double Tap Root Beer 2- Not only does it shoot 33% faster than normal, it also doubles the shots to non-explosives. -Knifing mechanism- Very apparent from BO1, especially knifing zombies behind windows. -Damaged zombies- Damaged zombies will die once players leave the area. Damaged zombies will jot respawn or chase players out of the zone. -Eliminate downs- Players can eliminate downs from counting toward your stats by quitting the game. If you pause the game, (without leaving the game) quit the game altogether, your down will not count, but kills and revives will. As soon as you down, while who's who kicks in or quick revive is taking effect, pause and quit. Custom games will skip all stats altogether. That's all for now. Thank you for reading.

Which Weapons Are Better Than Others
Mr. Jay replied to MysteryMachineX's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Need to update this. I still prefer the old mustang and sally as my main killing weapon other than the map specific wonder weapon. -
I actually think they did a fantastic job with glitches on BO2 overall. Back in BO1 I could recall playing with random invincibility glitchers on every single map. Have not seen one yet on any of the BO2 maps. But no game this massive can be completely glitch free, I can deal with the minor errors here and there. Good job Treyarch. BO2 was a success. But I still think BO1 was superior.
-
When we playing Way? My first deep taste of each BO2 map were with you. I'm waiting for you to hold my hands on Origins.
-
I still have not played this map. Will definitely look for your tutelage before giving it a try. I have the map but somehow just not that excited about.
-
Depend on what you define as hard. For people who play more solo maps like Moon and Verrukt are not as challenging but we all know those maps are impossible with randoms. Same with Die Rise. Toughest to 30 with 3 randoms- Moon and Verrukt. Toughest solo-Five, COTD.
-
Same for me.

Where is the usual gang of Infest, Monkey, Lenne on intros?
-
I might be one of A few that did not like the MK2 Ray Gun. The three shot burst was a terrible waste to the ammo. And although powerful, in high rounds it takes more MK2 to kill hoards than the original. What they had done was turning the best all around into a Shit save me weapon. The MK2 does not work well as a killing weapon overall, I much prefer the original.

What Were the Most Iconic Elements of Black Ops II?
Mr. Jay replied to Electric Jesus's topic in General Zombies Discussion
There was not a blue print with the maps, so tough to find any links or consistency. Each map was unique to its own that you might think they were designed by different teams. The weapons are different wall or box; the styles are different with each map, the extras are different; and even banks are included in some maps but not others. Hard to lay a finger on a few things to say there was a theme to BO2. There was not. -
I laughed until I cried.

My favorite staff of all time was Afro. Although at times he took his job way too serious he relentlessly and professionally worked out many issues. I purposely skipped Way because many of you know I was married to him. Sorry but I could not resist.
