  1. My original thought was the same, "huh??" But as long as it is well written I am in favor of. How are the weapon comparison series coming along?
  2. This is "way" too funny. Can't make this shit up. Pacman you are officially a pooper without trying to be one. Awful lawton does exactly what you just asked for, a weapon that keeps the zombies occupied for a few seconds.
  3. Very nicely done. The clip prior to instant kill show the claymores stacks. Claymores are very effective as well, just make sure they are facing the thief. Mustang and sally make thief a walk in the park, if you don't kill yourself. Be careful of one thing, if you have mule kick and he takes you 1st and 2nd weapon, once you get it back it is now considered the third weapon. Losing mule kick will make you lose that weapon. Great job Rissole, and did not mean to steal your thunder.
  4. I think it has more to do with zombies spawning on one floor, then respawn on another. I used to do a revised version of your strategy. I would hit all switches before taking the elevator up to use trap, then just use the spawn teleporter to go into the PAP. Often I get the same spawning error you shown in your video. To neutralize spawn error you could wait by the door, if you get max train then circle around the table, but in case you dont then simply run out and hang left toward the stakeout.

  6. Can't wait!!! Almost like seeing a blockbuster trailer only to find out it will not release for a while. The anticipation and build up will he huge! Kinda weird to see my name up there with the big names, almost instantly lower the credibility in my mind. What I provided were mere reminders of how we progressed from the beginning stages. Definitely do not believe I deserve credit for it, especially since I'm not the originator of these executions.
  7. Thanks to everyone for their valuable inputs. One last question, when is it ok to head back to the revive room with the hacker? I went back to hack the system first sign of evil announcing girl but room not yet safe without PES. When is it safe to roam without the suit? Many thanks, to you all. And to my knowledge there are 4 mystery box locations. By flopper, by mule kick, by power switch, and quick revive. Any other possible locations?
  8. I salute you shooter, your relentless efforts to contribute to the forum is beyond what any of us can match. Maybe Undead, he's pretty effortful in his pursuits as well. You two have drastic styles and but identical goals, the well being of CODZ and its members. One day the forum shall retire you into the CODZ Hall of Fame. Right back at you. ------------------------------- Anyways here is my caption for your contest "Macarena now!! Best dancer lives." Also I have a donation question. The new theme has a donate button on top, stating how much toward the 130 we need. I made a few bucks this morning yet it never showed. Just a bit concerned with the marketing strategy.
  9. Yes, I seen this video a week ago. I like the idea of the fastest tactics series you have embarked, something new and refreshing from other people. Superhand has the high round cornered, you and pish's challenge videos are also great. I am hoping for more videos of you and way. The stamina room of doom was awesome. As well as the STG challenge with way and pish. BTW few commentators are as smooth as eye and chopper or as dry funny as pish, but doesn't mean you should not do it. Waffleman said it best, "pretend you are talking to your best friend, talking joking and laughing."
  10. Could not sleep last night/this morning so I played some video games. Wanted to find someone with a solid record on Moon to improve my own score of 25. Went into a game with two randoms at 31 and 12, thinking to myself "get me mustang and sally, jug and flopper and I can run by M16". Right away the 31 quit leaving me with 12. Having watched Superhand's revive video I tried to do the same assuming the 12 is pretty bad. With my luck I died trying to quick knife kill a zombie while the 12 waited at the pad. From the telepad he gathered enough points to buy jug and teleported with 1700+ points to the moon while I looked like a moron trying to show him how to play. Had he gotten a decent start he could have PAPed. After NML he was a different person, constantly disappearing and going down. The map is so big and I was only able to revive him a few times out of 12-13. By round 22 I had 800+ kills and he had 100+. Last unsuccessful revive got me tangled with the astro, teleported to the quick revive room with no jug, no box, and was forced to trade in hacker for PES. Both tunnels were breached. Did not hit 25 but shattered previous points and kills total. Afterwards played Call of the dead. Three randoms at 22, 19, and 15, with 22 quit after two rounds. I went down twice within the first 5 rounds and got revived by 19 and 15 so feel obligated to return the favor. Fast forward to round 22, and 20 revives later. The 15 makes killing George his personal goal, constantly hitting him with ray gun, scavenger, matryska dolls, and mustang and sally. 19 has a habit of following me from time to time, whether I go inside the tower or by AK or spawn area. I went down for the third and final time at 22, after many attempts to tell them to 1. leave George alone, and 2. stop following me. I quit after going down because George was pissed and 19 running near me. I raged quit (uncharacteristic of me and heat of the moment.) Soon I got a message from 19 telling me it was classless and should have told them to suicide for the record. I told him it was not intentional, I was not aware of being the host and apologized for it. But I also told him he did not earn the co-op record, I revived him number of times throughout the game and kept the game going. He told me to F myself. Very very entertaining morning of games for me, until I got grounded again. I have a deal with Mrs. Jay that I promise to not play in front of my son to avoid being a bad influence, and he caught me this morning. Part of the reason why I quit after going down.
  11. Thanks guys for the help. Have to agree with shooter there. I thought that was Superhand doing the written analysis. So clear and easy to understand for noobs like myself. Would love to see you post more. Questions part 2. I remember hacking twice previously and the excavator still breaches MPL and stamina. Is the excavator something like the astro that keeps coming back? Something I have to keep an eye on? Thanks gentlemen. Excuse my lack of knowledge on such an old map, I shied away for a while and only started playing because I wanted to earn my co-op record.
  12. Been playing Moon lately hoping to raise my co-op scores. Had some really bad games leading up to a round 25 record but now see Moon as very easy. Except the excavator thing keeps screwing me, so asking for help to better understand the situation. I have had games where it takes out the MPL tunnel, forcing me to take the stamina tunnel and vice versa. Last night it took out both tunnels, leaving me stranded at the quick revive room without jug, box, or the hacker. I have had a game it took out the biodome. I have had a few games with some very knowledgable players who had shown me how to hack from the quick revive room but it still comes back to take out sections of the map. How do I prevent it from happening? Some rounds I go back to revive room and the machine reads "not active" or something similar but next round it takes out a section. Thanks for reading.
  13. I like your ideas. They sound very interesting and were very well thought out. But I am for making the game harder, not easier. The game for me is slowly becoming a baseball game. Long, slow, but your cant take your eyes off in fear of missing a big play. I am hoping for quicker and faster game play. I can already see it in my mind annoying kids asking me to give them points or weapons because they need help. It will also somehwat neutralize the excitement of hitting the box. One of my biggest joy is to see someone waste 20 grand hitting the box while I get ray gun within 3 spins. The VR-11 idea was fantastic. I love camping and team work, making Five and Verrukt my two favorites, although those two maps also gave me the most grey hair. Maybe something like added effects of shooting multiple ray guns. Four ray gun blasts at the same time can clear a whole horde. Four wonderwaffles cause chain reaction shock and activate all traps. I apologize for my imaginations, I day dream a lot during the day.
  14. Nothing else you can do until BO2. I suggest you get a PS3 and we can play cat and mouse.
  15. Hard to argue against the lord of the flies. When I started playing back in November I always buy the Olympia and consider buying Stakeout an achievement. The truth is, it took me almost three months to reach round 10 because no one taught me how this game is supposed to be played. I came across Superhand's Five 40+ guide and must have read the complete solo guide and the Master Zombie Guide 2-3 hundred times each before I realize how to play. I was so naive I was afraid to open any doors in fear of "stronger faster zombies" not knowing they gradually gain those powers each round. With each skill set I raised my solo highs, eventually learned how to play co-op. These basic skills are so basic they are nowhere to be found. For a newbie like myself I wished the superstart series were available back then. Like I said previously this is a guide for the dummies, and especially for my son who is still having trouble grasping the headshots. I apologize to Superhand, Eye and Tom for referencing their master pieces. And anyone who wasted valuable time reading this.
  16. This idea sounds fun. I'm an expert in going down, we should hook up and I can get you more revives than relaxingend. In one game with way I believe he revived me 50 times.
  17. The love and hate affairs with randoms. I have had my shares of disappointments, but there are good silid randoms out there capable of providing entertaining games. Forest Gump once said "randoms are like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are gonna get." I play more alert and more conservative when playing with randoms. Usually takes me a few rounds to see how they play. From their movements and which doors they open or not open you can sense their game. Some are downright awful or selfish, some are intelligent or decisive. Just yesterday I hooked up with one good random to reach 25 in COTD, and my previous high was 8. His high was 32 and was very observant of my game and always offered help. I can list many first encounters with my now PS3 friends. But overall going into random lobbies in hopes of finding good randoms is equivalent of going to Walmart looking for your future wife. Good luck.
  18. Thanks, and sure if you feel it goes with the overall guide. I play with my son a lot, and he is still in the noob stage of zombies. I have "taught" him what had helped me and he is slow to absorb. He is a lurker on this site and I wrote it for his benefits, but I'm sure this will be helpful to anyone struggling to make it to 30. As I recall the different stages of my growth I can identify what set of skills I was lacking. With this check list it should be clearer to pinpoint what is missing from your game. If you fail on pre-teen what should you work on, and if you struggle on 20 what might help you. Happy zombie killing.
  19. With the Master Zombie Guide 2 soon to release, I will present to you the appetizer. First of all its ok to not fully comprehend to Master Zombie Guide or Complete Solo Guide. When I first started playing I was grateful to have those two guides. But no matter how much I reread and study the guides I had trouble with the execution. Here is a much simpler and easier for the beginners. Zombie 101-Learn head shots. By round two or three zombies will start to get tougher to knife, you want to learn to aim and shoot toward their heads. Regardless of map you will find automatic machine guns after the first door. Aim machine guns at heads for quicker easier kills plus point building. Aim assist will aim your cross fire at zombie's chest, move up slightly for the head shots. Once you get comfortable with head shots you want to line them up for head shots. Sexiest thing you ever witness. Zombie 102-Be wise with your points. With head shots points will come fast, but learn how to spend your points. Use the investment approach, spending only when necessary, or if it garner you more points. Buying jug is a great investment, buying bowie on round 21 is not. PAP your AK on round 7 is not good investment, as it wastes thousands of potential points without giving you much results. As a noob I make jug my first priority. Save up to open all the doors to power and jug. Zombie 103-Learn to move. Once you master the first two you should have no problem to round ten, where things get interesting. There are different terms floating on grouping zombies, circling, training, kiting, among many others. The idea is to escape from zombies, and grouping them in the process. Many of the moves require much practice and experience to completely master. Best to check out Tom's looping guide for complete analysis. djsL5gG8B6o Zombies 104-Upgrade your weapons. With the first three skills you can now reach the teens, time to upgrade your weapons. Based on the map there are different weapons available. You may hit the mystery box for a mystery weapon for 950 points. Some weapons are far superior, some are absolutely crap. Refer back to 102 for box spending. There is also the PAP machine, which would magically upgrade each weapon for 5000. Personally I prefer to wait until the twenties to upgrade, using point gathering machine guns in the process. With stronger weapons you can easily reach the twenties. Zombies 105-Ammo Consumption In the mid twenties you will start to feel the ammo scarcity issues. Only wall weapons are replenishable, making ammo the #1 issue at this point. Most people use one wall weapon for the easy ammo, some recycle box weapons, meaning use what you get from the box until you run out of ammo. After mid twenties never ever ever ever fire any ammo into one zombie. You want to bunch them up to conserve ammo. Some maps offer max ammo opportunities every few rounds, be sure to incorporate that into your ammo strategy. Zombies 106- Stay alive At this point you have the basic skills to reach round 30. The game at this point is nothing new, just keep repeating what got you there. Keep patient and stay disciplined with your execution. Greed will lead to unnecessary downs. Get familiar with your surroundings. There are many times I struggle with new maps and turn around to earn my co-op scores the next day. For more tips and guides refer to Tom's quick tips. http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL ... ature=plcp For Easy round 15 quick set up check out Superhand's super start series. http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL ... ature=plcp You are ready to play with all the big names, thanks for reading.
  20. Co-op records, the general barometer of one's game. Much like GPAs, there is always hidden truth behind every score. Someone collecting a 4.0 from algebra , communications, and economics 101s is not as elite as someone with 3.5 from behavioral theories, database, and visual basics. A retarded monkey playing with way or eye can reach high twenties despite having 20+ downs. Trust me, it's been done. So the question is, have you earned your co-op scores? Or were you along for the ride? Most of my records were hard earned, with moon being the exception. COTD quit end of 27 never recorded, got there only because of way. 25 on Moon was embarrassingly unjustified, but the very next day on split screen reached 20 easily. Although I can say inexperience with the maps contributed to the bad games. Also did a challenge with eye and chopper and reached 22. On paper I did good, had double digit revives and the least downs, but my job that day was to hide and revive. How did you earn your co-op? Any records associated with eye, chopper, or way should have asterisk next to it.
  21. Had a game last night with way, and he had 21 revives. Could have had more, but he watched from nearby and prevented at least another 10-15 downs. Silentcrisis moment brought to you by Jay.
  22. Five is my favorite map. My highest co-op record is 37 on Five, which is pretty decent considering its difficulty. For a four players safely to 30 in my mind is to camp in the PAP. After 15 two people with bowie covering windows should have no problem. Add ray gun then its a walk in the park. Two covering the door will be tougher. Each should have mustang and sally, ray gun, and AK-74u2. Starting each round hopping into the PAP, let the window guys clear the first wave with their mustang and sally to help preserve ammo for the door guys. With good ammo planning(minimize waste), even without a few lucky max ammos round 30 is obtainable. Without good ammo planning door guys might run scarce with ammo by round 25. Superhand's strategy of one guy running the war room is also easy, especially over 30, but anytime anyone runs the middle floor there are no guarantees.
  23. Anyone interested in joining me and way for some challenges or high round attempts? Tonight (now) or tomorrow night?
  24. You have been somewhat a mystery until now. A very valuable member of the community. I concur with much of your speech about the community, also relate to you about zombie movies and resident evil. My very favorite zombie movies is the recent dawn of the dead, taken place inside of a mall. The movies taught us much about the games, selfishness will get everyone killed. I remember my sophomore year in college, starting resident evil 2 in Friday afternoon, taking turns with my roommate non stop until Sunday afternoon. Play Leon then replay with Claire. I'm also big on vehicles. Current behind a G37X as my everyday car and a 2011 Z4 35is as my summer car. It was my wife's preference among many we test drove, and to this day very happy with it. Always loved the new Audi look and even considered the S5 convertible 3.0 super charged. In end, very glad to have you on board. Happy shooting.
  25. I'm one of those that love to try different things. I enjoy YouTube a lot and see what others are doing to try to improve my game. Sometimes a tiny detail makes a lot of difference. At the end of my games, especially poor performances, I always ask "why did I go down 20 times?" "How do I improve.?" There are times performance issues are linked with excitement and/or distractions, I let those go. At the end of the day I normally blame others for me going down. Taking carpenter on high rounds, running into my area opposite my route, not revive me quick enough, not singing with me......
