Black ops weapons damage on classic maps.
Mr. Jay replied to Mr. Jay's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Thanks for bringing her up Tom. She read one of my articles and banned me from complaining about her. -
Was reading weapon stats on classic maps and noticed they are much weaker than the black ops weapons. Thompson is the best machine gun at 200/20 with 480 head shots. Galil is far superior at 350/35 with 600 head shots. P96A1 does a whopping 3000 head shot, one hit kill until round 21. Am I missing something? I play the black ops version of the classic maps so maybe the weapons are updated. Can anyone confirm this?

In my short stay I must point out you and way. Always very positive and encouraging. Also Superhand, with his low key but effective "cheers jay!"

Very impressive. No I cant come close but in normal four player games I almost always have more than the average. Despite having low kills I generally minimize waste and always point build until teens before hitting box. On five camping in PAP I sometimes only buy bowie until twenties. Only down side, ALWAYS ASKED TO OPEN ALL DOOR DUE TO MASSIVE AMOUNT OF POINTS. Don't care if I'm playing with friends but randoms break my heart.

It has been a busy week for me. Work load was heavy, wife's business needed assistance, and kids are always pain in the ass. Perfect time to reflect on our mentors. We were all terrible at some point. We watched someone else play and improved our game. I still laugh at the days of buying Olympia by round two and happy to reach round 8. My son's friend pointed out this individual on YouTube called Xcalizorz who provided much improvement to his game. I watched his Five video and learned about the point system and head shots. His videos provided my first major growth in my game. After being able to reach 30 solo on five, I started playing co-op and struggled. Slowly surrounded myself with better players as my co-op record improved. After hitting high twenties I plateaud. One day after bleeding out I spectated an individual known as JRealz on PS3. He had the least downs, most revives, and most kills despite looping in the basement. I learned much from spectating him in the coming weeks utilizing max spawn, dealing with poor box weapons, and much more. He was the second major step to my game. After discovering CODZ I realized how small my world was. In random games I normally hold my own against top competition, but on this site I am by far one of the least established players. I follow a few members on this site for their work. I watched all their videos and read all their guides to find areas for improvement. I listen to their advice on my game and implement new techniques I long lacked. CODZ is my third major mentor. Somewhere in the between I have played with many great individuals who taught me much with their play. Almost everyone on my PS3 list are people I gone thru many hard fought battles with. I might not run into them much anymore but everytime I see them I relive the moments we had. Do you have a mentor that helped with your game? All three of my mentors helped indirectly, but without them I would have long given up. Who has mentored you?

who's your favorite character to play as?
Mr. Jay replied to Sally'sMustang34's topic in General Zombies Discussion
My first and favorite map is five. Something about JFK and his remarks and accent. I used to restart solo games so I could play as him. "Been in the navy for years, never taste anything that fishy." -
Sounds nice, good luck with your story. MLH has done many stories as he will be able to guide. You could also consult undead xp, he is wicked and wild.

Was playing this map last night. Noticed on co-op there were many achieved higher than 62, including feelsbadbro. Are all those records tainted? How do they do that?

How Do You Reach Round 50 (co-op) Without Getting Bored?
Mr. Jay replied to iFQ's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Playing solo is even more boring. I lose focus once I get mustang and sally with ray gun. Co-op little better but still slow. I find myself hurrying the rounds taking more risks. I give people with high rounds much much credit but it feels too much like work. -
Welcome. Looking forward to your posts.

I am now convinced this is much harder than five after 25. Weak wonder weapons, no traps, no PAP.

Some people need microphone, some people hate microphone. I have one but never use it. Having solid communication can change the dynamics of a game when things are heading south. Many times during games I wish I had them. I can count number of times I could have told people not to risk themselves trying to revive me with no ammo left. I could count number of times luring a full train away from down teammates being labeled jack ass. I can count number of times having trouble telling someone not to do something. I even remember one time running on the top war room for 10 minutes during thief round before anyone realized the situation. I am not bashing the randoms I am just recalling situations where a microphone could have helped tremendously. On the other hand I have them off for reasons. I have played enough random games to know how to supplement my team most of the time. What puzzle me at times are the people who turn on their mikes just to share their musical taste. Some talk non stop as if silence hurt their ears. Some even sang me lady lady Gaga's poker face. I do not particularly enjoy annoying my teammates, so I rarely have my mike on. Not to mention I focus better not having to answer questions from new teammates about which wall weapon I like the most. For me mike is not necessary unless I am playing with friends going for high rounds. How important is mike to you?

The Most Difficult Spots to Train
Mr. Jay replied to Ehjookayted's topic in General Zombies Discussion
5and5, you fgorgot to add stg room from Verrukt. Thats pain in the ass. Specially in solo. I am loving that challenge you posted. Played verrukt last night with three randoms. Was camping/training there by the stg while the randoms loop the map. Somewhat intense but not too hard for 4 people, except when the group following the randoms pay a visit. Solo seems way to complicated as 5and5's video showed. -
7 other randoms to break my heart? Awesome. Can't wait.
-
Only played verrukt a handful of times. In fact my high was round 11, and only got there playing with way. Had a game last night with three randoms, who treated me like round 11 was all I am able to do, despite having just slight less kills than them. Round 19 upper level above Thompson one goes down. Two others died trying to revive him as I watched from the **** please report this topic, post ****. Moved steps closer realized reviving was not possible I ran away. Hoping to loop the map and lure the crowd away. The host sees me running goes berserk MF me and ended game. Is common reviving sense not practiced any more? Is suicide mission a better act of gamesmanship? Am I the one out of line? Round 19 would have looked better than 11, but randoms broke my heart once again.

Article about BO2 - 8 Player Zombies, will run off MP engine
Mr. Jay replied to complexinvalid's topic in Single Player
I have enough trouble finding three other randoms, or three solid randoms to execute similar game plan. So instead of 4 people running their own trains we can now have 8 people running their own trains? I am skeptical until the release or more info. -
Good to have you. Be sure to check out many great guides and stories on the site. Care to share why you decided to sign up? What are you most looking forward to do as a member?

When we get into a game with randoms we play randoms with similar credentials. In my case high twenties and low thirties. These are people far removed from noob days and are expected to contribute even without the thunder gun. I rarely see people rage quit in Five, except for a few noobs who find themselves out of league. We all make effort to carry ourselves as classy gamers. But when you were once on top with the thunder gun to now working with pistols, you find yourself raging more than normal. When Frodo got his chance with ring, he finds himself tough to give up the "precious". I understand the frustration losing the valuable weapon, but life goes on. Making a come back in higher rounds somewhat mirror the NML challenge, and the best learn to prevail. "Winner never quit, quitters never win." P.S. Had another game with three randoms this morning. Thunder gun quit AS SOON AS HE WENT DOWN.

361 Kills on NML, New WR & WORLD'S FIRST EVER 360+ Game!
Mr. Jay replied to Superhands's topic in No Mans Land (NML)
After watching "rip off" again I thought Superhand could easily have had 365, maybe even 370. With three M&S left and 6-7 crawlers @350, two shots were robbed from him. -
Weird saying this to someone been here a lot longer.... Good to see you finally get to posting. Like MLH said hope to see you stay more active. What made you decide to do this now?

Beautiful day here in PA. Was up early with the misses, went out for a nice drive in my Z4, and even had breakfast without her babbling complaints. Last night was a different story though, trying to complete Way2g00's round 30 challenge. Had one buddy with me hoping for two solid randoms. Could not get any solid games on Five, but easily found "good" randoms in Kino and Ascension. Both cases were similar, the two of us doing our normal set up for round 30 run, allowing randoms to focus on hitting the box for Thunder Gun. Both cases the randoms got Thunder Gun and ran away with kills while we set up long run with sufficient points. Both cases random go down a few times, being effectively revived. Both cases random go down in mid twenties, could not get revived, rage quit. I understand why Ascension and Kino are by far the most popular maps in zombies, the almighty Thunder Gun. With the Thunder Gun one could easily get to round 30 amassing ridiculous kills without learning how to train. The weapon is so wonder it also puts a target on your back. The person with the gun often (more like almost always) thinks if he goes down, he will not get revived. Both cases last night the person holding Thunder Gun was revived number of times prior to rage quit. Both cases the rage quitter had generated enough points to recuperate even without the Thundar Gun, yet decided to blame the team for letting him die, thus rage quit. I hate Kino, I hate Ascension, and I hate the Thunder Gun. Even without the wonder weapons those maps are not considered challenging. Most randoms run their own trains, no team work and no communications necessary. Maybe I am too glass half empty, but the thunder gun bring too much greed and too much selfishness in my eyes. But the general public love Thunder Gun and the general public always win. Thunder Gun--------2 Jay-F2008------------0
