  1. I actually have been able to beat quick-scopers by hardscoping before, it doesn't always give you the advantage. And it does irritate me when people denote others simply because they snipe differently? But I do enjoy quick-scoping at times, it's a different playstyle than playing with AR's and SMG's
  2. I think he just meant that the devs were no longer tied down to the world in SP campaign mode, that they now have free reign to do whatever.
  3. I'm going to go out on a limb and say it isn't cancelled because of how much they've been promoting the 4z4 thing. And I see this as being very likely for solo, maybe even in the competitive game modes in zombies. Though I doubt George is playable because of the massive advantage he would have. And just because a character is dead or otherwise incapacitated, doesn't mean you wouldn't be able to play as them in a game mode that has no continuity to the story.
  4. I personally love Cotd, and while George may be very annoying at times, his addition to the game was brilliant. It was something new to zombies, it forced players to change up your strategy. He was rather hard to kill, and I usually enjoy games a lot more if it's really challenging. Shang and FIVE, as stated above, are are unpopular simply because of their difficulty for the average player. Some people may consider these maps easy, but most wouldn't. They are both unique from the rest of the maps in their own ways, and provide a fresh new experience to zombies that many of the other maps can't. Shi No Numa I honestly haven't played much, but it seems like an intriguing map to me. It seems like somewhat of an open map to me as well from what I've played so I wouldn't believe to be too hard, but I can understand how it would be. Most people will play games because they want to win or succeed. It's easier to do this on some maps, more so than others. If something often irritates them or proves to be more difficult than the other maps available, most will tend to play the easier maps because that will make them feel more accomplished. All-in-all though, each map will generally provide their own unique experience and I try to appreciate each one for what they bring to this amazing game mode. I may enjoy playing some maps over others, but I will play the "less" enjoyable maps to provide myself with a challenge so that I'm not just running the same circle in Ascension over and over again. It's all a matter of opinion I suppose.
  5. I think it was just referring to a new mode (I hope anyway). But that stuff is technically "leaked", so I won't discuss it further.
  6. Welcome to the site! An introduction within an introduction? Intro-ception! :o
  7. In my opinion, knifing was fixed in BO. The lunge was reduced slightly, but still useable. I don't get why people still complain about it. They put the knife in these games so that you could use it. If they nerfed it to what the OP was talking about, the only reasonable way you could use a knife at that point is if you snuck up on someone. So a guy knifed you while you were about to shoot him, you still have the upper hand if he's just a few feet away from you. 99% of the time, you will die by someone shooting you. So what if someone knifes you every once in a while? The way people complain about everything in cod, the only way I see them making a "fair and balanced" cod is by giving each player the same exact gun and nothing else. No explosives, knifes, secondaries, perks, equipment, e.t.c.
  8. Absolutely, though you have to admit, dubstep would fit rather well with Dead Ops. But yeah, people become too biased when it comes to music and then that goes against the whole idea of what music stands for. If someone doesn't like a certain type of music, fine, my opinion of them won't change at all. It's when people start bashing on other people for their taste in music that gets me.
  9. How about we just agree that we all have different musical taste and accept that not everybody will like the same kind of music as each other and that music can't be defined to a single genre?
  10. On one hand, we know next to nothing about Sophia. We don't know her personality, hobbies, likes/dislikes, attitude, whether or not she's had any combat experience. Sam was just a little girl who ruled the undead for many years, yet she seemed to be able to handle several weapons rather easily and efficiently. On the other hand, the identity of the soldier for the art on the Black Ops posters/covers/e.t.c was never confirmed (nor was the zombie's on the Rezurrection cover). This could also point to there being generic soldiers and/or customizable characters in the competitive game modes. Why do you think they say There's a Zombie Killer In All Of Us?
  11. I'm not going to assume anything until I see actual gameplay. Achievements or not, nothing will make me believe zombies will be terrible until I actually play the game.
  12. Zombies has always technically been multiplayer, as you are playing it with other players online or locally.
  13. That actually sounds like Strikeforce mode to me.
  14. The Vril-Ya are an ancient technologically advanced civilization that supposedly live underground. In zombies, it is inferred they are the voices Richtofen hears in his head, that they created that black pyramid in Moon, and have strong connections to the origins of Shangri-La. They may be using Richtofen to take over the world. Vril energy is also said to be capable of bringing the dead back to life in some manner, or something like that (VR11). Hope this sheds some light on the subject, I kept it rather brief.

  16. Fun fact, did you know the martyrs in Dead Ops are actually just guys in ghillie suits? Back on topic, I really wanted to see the engineer zombies from DOA and some kind of abominable zombie monster. Though I guess the engineers came in the form of George, and the martyrs in the form of Napalm zombies.
  17. It's a lighting effect Treyarch has for them to use whenever they want, they don't have to use it just for zombies. If it already had the look they were going for, why take the time to make a whole new effect?
  18. Yeah it was the achievements, which weren't that big as the zombie ones make absolutely no sense to me. But for all I know, that could've been a hoax. And to the guy above me, that article isn't confirmed. I know it's worded weirdly, but it has not been confirmed as the author of the article is not an employee of Treyarch, nor did he state where he got his information.
  19. Oh yeah I Totaly forgot about them! A-DUR stupid me... Trent Reznor is only doing the main theme for Black Ops II, but he does have a point about Elena and Kevin. I highly doubt those two will decide to make dubstep at this point.
  20. This idea is really starting to come together rather nicely. I would give you brains if I could. [brains]
  21. An interesting idea, but I don't know if I quite like the idea of receiving a negative effect for completing a max ammo round. The QED one is alright, but in my opinion making everything higher priced for 1 whole round is a bit much. For Famine, I would have done the opposite and do something like a bon-fire sale.
  22. Let me just say that I really love the idea of prestiging in zombies, though I've haven't really been able to come up with ideas on how they could do it beyond giving you extra perk slots. But you sir have come up with a really thought out thread that would, in my eyes, almost perfectly implement prestige/leveling up in zombies. Sure, with this system you have created, there lies a lot more potential in what they could do with it, which is great because this provides a really good base. My suggestion to your fantastic idea, make leveling up a doozy. I don't want to be leveling up once or twice, maybe even more, every match. I want it to take a really long time to max out. That way, you give something for players to strive for probably for the entire game's lifespan. And also that some players just don't instantly max out and possibly give them an advantage in the leaderboards. This would truly separate the better players from the trolls. I don't always trust only being able to look at what their highest round is on the leaderboard to determine if they're a good player. Here's hoping Treyarch has already implemented something like this. :D
  23. I'm guessing we'll just get another little nod to it at the end. Much like the blood splattered logo with the laugh at E3.
  24. I actually kind of like this idea. Though I would really only see it happening if it fitted into the story at all. All the zombies we faced we've gotten some kind of back story as to how they got there, and I haven't seen anything about the 4 horses of the apocalypse yet. Although, this would somewhat fit rather nicely with the Devil theory. So if that turns out to be true, then it just may happen.
