Zombies Campaign Discussion Page
Kill_All_Monkeys replied to ZombiesQUANTUM's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Based on the way Lamia worded it in the Machinima interview, I wonder if the "campaign" will just be the regular maps with more objective based gameplay, including more interactions with the enviroment and such. BUT also keeping that same classic survival for those who don't wish to take part in the campaign, so that if they didn't want to play that, all they have to do is just not do whatever the objective is. Simple as that, problem solved. You're not going to be able to please everybody, so you have to think of the fanbase as a whole, and what they would all (or the majority) enjoy the most. All I can really say is let's not judge the game until we have played it ourselves and assume the gameplay will be like L4D (Which I still don't get because Treyarch never said the gameplay would be like that, it's not like they're changing it from a FPS or anything, so why people would even think that is beyond me). I'm just going to go into this new game hoping I will love it, not focusing on what could possibly (keyword here) be bad. Is it so wrong to believe that this might actually be a good game? -
James C. Burns (Woods) and Zombies
Kill_All_Monkeys replied to Rissole25's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I think what he means by expanding the setup in a very unique way, that he's saying it's no longer just an extra co-op option from the main menu. I wouldn't be surprised if zombies comes on a whole separate disk at this point. -
Oliver North: New Zombie Character?
Kill_All_Monkeys replied to MexicanIlluminati's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I honestly just don't like political figures in general. Everyone in politics has a skeleton in their closet. I only pay attention for the entertainment aspect, they say some pretty funny things sometimes when they think they're trying to help. -
Zombie Diner. Possible Part Of Map?
Kill_All_Monkeys replied to Jolteon's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Perhaps the diner is a hub of some sorts in the zombie mode. For example, it could function like the armories in MW3' survival mode in these new 4v4 modes. Unless they give you a ton of ammo with decent guns right from the start, I don't think I could last with only 40 shots in a rather weak pistol against 4 other players and a horde of zombies. -
Norman Reede (Daryl Dixion) has gotten around quite a bit himself. I for one loved him in Boondock Saints.

Machinima Talks Zombies with Lamia

If they put theater mode in zombies, my life will be complete. -
I thought the napalm and shriekers were brilliant, at least in my opinion. They were a nice change of pace to the regular zombies, while also still resembling zombies. They weren't there every single round, they don't steal perks, and they're not that hard to take care of. They also even kill surrounding zombies when you kill them, which can really help in later rounds even if it's only a few zombies. I don't see what the problem is with them.

Zombies Campaign Discussion Page
Kill_All_Monkeys replied to ZombiesQUANTUM's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Just because they would have a campaign doesn't mean they'll take away EE's. Maybe the EE's could reveal more about the story than what the campaign did. I don't get why people are so opposed to this. All I saw before, across many websites, was people wanting a zombies campaign, and now they don't? I just don't get it. Also, I don't think the campaign would cover any DLC maps, or else that would ruin the whole point of playing them several months later. And I also HIGHLY doubt Treyarch will do anything to disappoint us, so if they have made a campaign in zombies for us, then I am very anxious to see what they do with it. It's a fantastic story and I can't wait to see what comes next. -
All the characters are actually kind of connected (with the exception of Oliver North). The characters from FIVE actually called the main crew at Ascension through the red phone easter egg, and the main crew also interacted with Danny Trejo and the other celebrities through the Cotd EE. And as stated above me, Michael Rooker was the one who did voice work for the campaign, not Danny. Though that doesn't rule out the possibility of him taking some time while he was there to do some audio clips for zombies. We won't really know any of this until we get some form of official word from Treyarch.

Machinima Talks Zombies with Lamia

Am I the only one that felt like he was implying there would be a theater mode for zombies? Especially when he mentioned the machinima part. -
Oliver North: New Zombie Character?
Kill_All_Monkeys replied to MexicanIlluminati's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Yes!!!! -
Well I must say I honestly enjoy BO's multiplayer more than MW3. If it's any improvement upon that than it would certainly be the best multiplayer in my book :D

Oliver North: New Zombie Character?

On a slightly off topic note: I think it would be hysterical if Reagan was in zombies. "Just say no... to living!" -
Yeah he was the voice of Harper, but I think it's still possible that he could've taken an extra hour or so to do some voices for zombies. We won't really know for sure until there's some kind of official reveal for it or when the game comes out. Much of this is still just speculation.

Zombies Campaign Discussion Page

If they did a campaign, I don't think that means there wouldn't be any more easter eggs on the regular maps. I would guess that the campaign would only cover everything up to Moon, or as someone already suggested, it could cover a completely different group of survivors. Easter eggs could also be used not just for story purposes, but for more practical uses as well, such as unlocking things within a map, or obtaining stuff like all the perks. However they may have done it, I have complete faith in Treyarch that they haven't let us down. People have been skeptical of just about every change in zombies since Nacht (not all, but most) yet it has done nothing but improve our experiences of playing the game even more. I haven't been disappointed at all because Treyarch knows what we want as a whole, and they take that into consideration when making these games. Yes things may be different, but would that be such a bad thing after all? -
We're not so different, you and I I too trolled the forums for quite a while before joining, and I also tend to be the guy that goes around reviving everybody. And I have a PS3! (Not to mention I happen to get sick a lot as well) [brains] 's for you mate!

What if we never actually killed the zombies in the maps, what would happen? This certainly explains how the zombies get stronger ever round. I do also believe Takeo will prove to be a rather interesting in BO II, particularly because of his quote at the end of the EE in Moon. "I vow to hunt down the remnants of Group 935, and kill every last one of them!"
-
No, that was a separate Treyarch game that many believed to be Black Ops 2. Ah, I see. Thanks for clearing that up [brains]

Wasn't BO II's codename Ironwolf though?

They never said that was the only map they're making. Just because they only showed one map simply called "the map" doesn't mean they won't make any more. They wouldn't upset their fanbase like that. I bet it was only called the map because either they didn't have a working title at the point that video was made, or they didn't want to show it if it gave away anything about the story. -
Well eclipses have always had a rather significant role on zombies, so I'm guessing it would be their official zombie debut for BO II. Why it would be in the file name for the trailer though is beyond me. Being a fellow PS3 player, I think I'm going to check this out as well.
-
Very interesting find, and I do believe this does give us some insight as to them finally finding a way to take care of the zombies once and for all.
-
No I think the reason is that they don't know what to call that map yet. If they make more zombies trailers, we'll know by then or by the time BOII comes out. I believe they also didn't want to reveal the name either, because that could've given away more information that they weren't ready to release, such as location or relevance to the story.

Haha, I have no idea why everyone posted it at once. Just thought I would point that out ;)
