What's One Weapon That You Miss?
Kill_All_Monkeys replied to EvilHERONeos's topic in General Zombies Discussion
The Gersche Device, I had no idea what it did when I first got my hands on it and it was quite the wonderful surprise. The QED, almost every time I threw it, it seemed like something new would happen. It truly was the most brilliant addition to zombies in my opinion and still is. The Thunder Gun, I don't care what anyone else says, this was honestly the best Wonder Weapon of them all. 'Twas perfect in my eyes. -
I'm sure we'll see enemies like him in future maps, but not Brutus himself.

Gun List by effectiveness, dont be shy to add on!
Kill_All_Monkeys replied to Seanolith's topic in Mob of the Dead
I think the "effectiveness" of various guns will be different for everyone. What I may consider a good gun may be terrible in the hands of someone else. It's all a matter of opinion really. -
zombies top 10 week 1
Kill_All_Monkeys replied to thatgaminguy's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I know people say Ascension can get boring and such, but I have to vote for it because it was the map that really got me into zombies and allowed me to become a better zombie slayer. It is quite easy to train there, thus it made it very easy for me when I was a noob to learn how to adapt to the various situations and become a training montser. Also, the atmosphere just left me awestruck. I freakin love how it starts out black and white, then seemingly remains just as gritty with the color back. And then the bright red tint to everything that for me almost made it look like a completely different map once those damn monkeys came (I will kill you all  ). Not to mention that it created an entirely new challenge with zombies that didn't just run in a straight line. As easy as it was to train, it still wasn't totally fool proof. And don't even get me started on those monkeys, they were a far greater challenge, and threat, than the hellhounds were. It was also the first map to incorporate the EEs that we have come to love. While the outcome was somewhat less than desirable, it still left an overwhelming sense of accomplishment for being able to do something beyond killing zombies and finding hidden intractable objects. So yes there may have been better maps that have come later, but credit is due where credit is due. -
Ideas for a COD:Zombies
Kill_All_Monkeys replied to MarkoRibeiro's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I just didn't talked about that, because I really can't imagine how a Zombies Campaign would work.Sure it's a pretty good idea, and I would totally love it. Live some events that wouldn't be those in the maps would be awesome too, like, assuming the role of Peter escaping from Verruckt. It is kind of hard to imagine what a campaign would be like, though it would be cool to explore some of those unexplained stories. -
I thought it was really good, and they finally revealed much more of the story by the end, but alas the ratings just didn't quite keep up
-
That would seem to good to be true, but then again they do also have the almighty spork of power in that map too...

If you are referring to the short lived show on FOX, then yes it was quite the intriguing little show. Unfortunately it just took too long to get to the overall mystery I think.

Ideas for a COD:Zombies
Kill_All_Monkeys replied to MarkoRibeiro's topic in General Zombies Discussion
This is an incredibly well thought out idea, and I think Treyarch would be foolish not to incorporate something like this into an all zombies COD game should they ever decide to make one. The only thing I think you're lacking in your post is that you don't seem to discuss any kind of traditional campaign at all. Yes I know that many people here prefer finding out the story through EEs and other hidden secrets contained within a map, but I think most gamers would still prefer a campaign that's been typical of a call of duty game (as it would still be labeled as a COD game). The progression from one level to another and such. Other than that, very well done :D -
They're pretty good for grief mode though if you're confident in your survival skills.

Next Map should not be big
Kill_All_Monkeys replied to gunslinger979's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I absolutely love big maps, so much more to do and if done right, could almost never get boring. What they need is a map like Tranzit but without the fog because each of the sections were different enough that it was a nice change of scenery and strategy whenever I moved to a different area. The fog was just too much of a hassle though and that considerably lowered the enjoyment factor of it. I do agree though that it took far too long to move between some of the places and I think if they had added a faster form of transportation or at least more shortcuts like the one between Diner and Farm going to Town, that would be perfect. -
Isn't that how they mark buildings when an infection breaks out, like number of people infected/dead/etc. it's like military code or something. Hmmm I think I have seen something similar in a movie or something. Last I saw it was in the Walking Dead game.

MW3 survival - anyone?
Kill_All_Monkeys replied to NeedaLittleRevive's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I much prefer Chaos Mode, but I too dislike MW3 far too much to play it again. -
I think it will be all zombies, just like the first Black Ops. I say this because with zombies now having several game modes, it's certainly quite possible to include a new grief map, survival, turned, any other new game mode they cook up. Alongside a new map (which I'm still hoping will be an 8 player map). They could also throw in another Nuketown style map too, one not too relevant to the story (though Nuketown kind of is) but still really fun to play and it's own unique survival map.

It would make sense because from what I can see, all the things we have known to have origins or strong connections to 115 are radically different in this map. The mystery box has been transformed and looks like it literally came straight out of hell, the perks are behaving oddly, almost as if they're totally out of place there, as in not in the right time at all. PaP now gives guns a hellish look and the machine itself also appears to flicker like the perks. As far as I can tell, there has been no explanation for as to why 115 would be there at all. No secret experimentation with the alien element, no crashed meteor, nothing. Even the HUD is different (not that it's really relevant anyway).

I don't know what he done yet but its got to be big. If it leads to us having to kill him, I would imagine so. What the hell could he have done to deserve the mark of death?

Also a hint "Purgatory is, according to Roman Catholic teaching, the state or place of purification or temporary punishment by which those who die in a state of grace are believed to be made ready for the Beatific Vision in Heaven. Only one who dies in a state of grace can be in Purgatory, and therefore no one who is in Purgatory will remain there forever or go to Hell." (http://www.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Purgatory) So weasel did something!!! Well how about that?

It's been a while since I've posted on here but a theory just came across me that I couldn't resist posting. If this has been posted before then I apologize for having missed that. So as I was watching the plethora of new videos for MotD (with much envy), I was thinking about what they might be referring to with "the cycle". I thought back to the Die Rise intro and realized, what if if the cycle is referring to how we spawn in, attempt to complete an objective, die, rinse and repeat. Something that has been much more clearly illustrated in this new map. Something that was hinted at way back in Moon when Sam hinted killing the zombies was only making whoever was in control much stronger, and that a darker force was pulling the strings all along and this has just been one big game. So will we finally see an end to this endless cycle of blood and death? Will we finally be able to "beat" zombies in some form? This is technically a new and different game mode. We already have one significant change with the addition of Afterlife mode, or Purgatory. I think it's possible that we are actually going to have another method of finishing a match of zombies for once. It's very clear that this "much darker" thing has finally made itself much more prevalent, and since this most likely takes place before the events at the end of WWII that kicked off the zombie story as we know it, what if this is what causes this demonic force to put in a motion a plan to get Richtofen under it's control to achieve some ultimate end goal. In short, this demonic force may have just been having fun basically with releasing zombies and other 115 creatures in isolated locations and causing an endless cycle. And maybe, these four ruthless inmates unwittingly (or willingly) actually break the cycle, and cause the demonic force to cause the end of the world and then take control of these three towers for whatever nefarious reason. Only time will tell I suppose.

I just try ti think of it as listening to Sloth from that old movie The Goonies and I end up just laughing at it every time I'm Samuel.
-
Makes no difference to me, as long as people understand what I'm referring to then no harm done. Though I do understand when to refer to it as 'Green Run' as opposed to 'Tranzit', same thing for Great Leap Forward/Die Rise.

Don't let someone revive your original self in who's who
Kill_All_Monkeys replied to Nasdaq401's topic in Die Rise
How often does this occur? I know I've only had it for a few days but I've never experienced this and neither have the friends that I've played it with. Is this an x-box thing only or does it happen on PS3 and PC too? -
I'll tell you one thing, it makes me sad I'm on ps3 (I still love my ps3 very much though)

Storm PSR in Zombies
Kill_All_Monkeys replied to CovetousShark6's topic in General Zombies Discussion
It's an insanely powerful sniper rifle from the campaign in BO II that has a scope that sees through walls as well as shoot through them with ease if you charge it up.
