  1. I didn't take the time to figure out the exact day, but wouldn't that be fairly soon?
  2. My best guess is that the tornado is what launched the pyramids/temples into space. I'm sure Tac could give you a better explanation of the tornado's presence.
  3. I personally believe in Tac's Mars theory as well. He provides a lot of evidence to support his theory, and it fits quite well with the rest of the story and it's historical background. The main reason I see for why people oppose it is because of how unrealistic it would be for Mars to support life. This is a game where the dead come back to life through a mysterious alien element, with the Vril-Ya possibly behind everything. Is it too hard to accept that th Vril-Ya would have technology beyond our comprehension that could support life on Mars?
  4. Oh haha xD My apologies for not getting that, looking back I shouldn't have looked so into that, that was my fault Ain't no thing bro ;)
  5. That was a poor choice of words on my behalf, I actually believe in Rissole's Devil theory. I guess what I should've said was that she was a bit twisted from the experience, what with the deep and creepy voice and the murderous intentions and what not.
  6. Perhaps we will get a more definite answer to the various effects of 115 on people in Black Ops II. Plus, I doubt Richthofen will be anymore affected by the 115 now that he's the Aether overlord or whatever. Sam was in there for a long time, and she's only slightly demonic from it.
  7. To be honest, I think I went this entire thread without responding to the OP so I will do so now. My theory for why they can withstand so much 115 is because while alive, it doesn't do much to you. 115 was created for the purpose of reanimating dead cells, but if you are alive most of your cells aren't actually dead, so it has nothing to reanimate. That is my best theory so that it applies to all 3 groups of fighters. Some say that the reason it does not effect them is because we drink Quick Revive, which contains fish oil. Fish oil is rich Omega-3 fatty acids and DHA, and for example, when a man/woman has Alzheimer's, their DHA levels are very low. But Fish Oil is said to help the growth of your frontal cortex. I was basing this off the whole "115 drives you crazy if overexsposed to it" (which I just realized I don't really recall where I heard that). But once again Tac, thou hath bested me with the wit of thy's words.
  8. I believe this thread has detracted a little from the topic I originally posted but I'm loving the conversation it has stirred up. And Humble Soldier, I never get why people are so negative to ideas that aren't their own. I ask questions because I want to hear people's opinions on the matter, and if people disagree (which is a good thing), then I would love nothing more than to discuss why that is the case. I love a good, healthy arguement. It's such a shame that arguing has to be seen as such a bad thing nowadays.
  9. You certainly make a very convincing point, Tac. And I can't think of anything else to throw at you for the sake of arguing.
  10. I know you asked tac for a response but i thought of a logical answer to post in its place for now Im guessing the gersch device sent out a 115 shock across ascension, since they did have people from group 935 in it. As for the monkeys, im guessing that they where sent to a or from a place with 115 and died from space, but 115 brought them back and sam can use them. Also glad your having a good time on you vacation, and i can see how it would be anoyning using your ipod to keep updating the post My thought on that was the since the Gersche Device is a portal to the Aether, Samantha may have brought zombies through using that, or as you said, infected the place with 115 radiation or something, converting all it's personnel to zombies. And the monkeys, I believe they said in one of the radios that they sent them to the Moon, and we all know that is a 115 hot spot. At least I thought that's what they said, its either that or just into space.
  11. I think some special zombies are fine, such as the hellhounds. I personally enjoyed the shrieked and napalm zombies as well, but thats just me. No monkeys though, I hate those damn monkeys.....
  12. My vacation is going great, it kind of sucks that I have to use my iPod though to use the interwebs. And Tac, I think I have to agree with you about FIVE. But I have one question about Ascension. What about the lunar landers crashing with the undead monkeys? And wouldn't there had to have been 115 present for zombies to form in the first place? Or was that just Sam bringing zombies there?
  13. You make a good point Humble Soldier, but I have to respectfully disagree. In FIVE, the teleporters are powered by 115, thus exposing them through that. In Cotd, there is 115 on the ship and all over, that was the whole reason George wanted to go there in the first place (it's also where Richthofen performed his experiments with 115, so the radioactive part would still be there). PaP is powered by 115, as are the wunder weapons, and the special grenades. Zombies can't be formed without 115 being present in the first place. The zombies couldn't exactly follow them if they time traveled, so they were already there at Cotd. And FIVE, they had 115 located in the labs and were experimenting with wunder weapons and teleporters, of which they couldn't do without 115 in the first place. Not to mention that 115 is radioactive, therefore the rocks don't have to be there. The radiation would still be present for a long time.
  14. I wouldn't go as far to say that people who train are bad at the game, it does take some skill to do so. Most of the random players I play with don't even know how to train, they just stay in one spot and try to hold out for as long as they can. Yes it makes the game easier, but the majority of players just don't know how to do it, or aren't even aware of it. Not everyone is like us here on the forums. Plus you also have to consider all the new players BO2 will be bringing in, many of which will more than likely be MP tryhards attempting to master the new competitive game modes. Don't get me wrong though, the WaW maps had something that BO was missing, and I would love more than anything to have that back.
  15. The pills referred to in the Der Riese radio are cyanide pills, I believe Maxis actually says this in another radio. And Richthofen experiments on them because 115 doesn't kill or harm them. What about the FIVE or Cotd crew? They are also unaffected by the deadly effects of 115, and as far as we know, Richthofen never experimented on them.
  16. Think you kind sir. :D
  17. That's what I was saying, that there be a map pack with more than one zombie map. Maybe even do something like Rezurrection, one with no MP maps but just a handful of the more simple zombies maps instead.
  18. While I was pondering the great mystery of element 115, a thought struck me and I don't believe this has been answered before. If someone has answered this or if it has been explained, then I do apologize. I just haven't seen anything spefically about this yet. So my question is, why is it that our heroes are able to handle 115 without it harming or killing them and bringing them back as a mindless undead corpse? As well as the FIVE and Cotd crew. What makes these humans resistant to the harmful effects of this mysterious alien element? There was a book I read once (I forget what the title was) where an alien race froze time on Earth and tried to invade it. At the same time, there was still many people (mostly kids) who were unaffected by this, and even granted them superhuman capabilities, and the reason why is because they had some ancient alien ancestors that were of the same race as the invading aliens. I believe that in the world of cod zombies, these "super soldiers" are in fact descendants of the Vril-Ya, since they seem to have been able to utilize 115 properly, as well as being able to resist harmful effects. This is just my theory anyway.
  19. What I'm saying is that at this point, we have so many maps to play, and we will continue to get many more. So I think it's fair to say that it would be perfectly alright if they released a more simple maps similar to the likes of Verruct or SNN, maybe even Nacht, alongside new maps. That way you can still get your bigger and better maps, while also pleasing the fanbase that wants a more simple experience.
  20. The reason why you can see the "galaxy" stuff is because the rockets completely destroyed the atmosphere, therefore there's no sunlight interferring with our view into space. Just like if we were on the Moon, they just exaggerate it a bit.

  22. I always like to live by the phrase "Variety is the spice of life". Yes, I don't want it to get too complex and see zombies turn into something completely foreign. But by adding a few things here and there, that's what makes zombies so great. I want to go in each new map expecting a something slightly different, or else what would be the point of buying and playing new maps if they were the same thing as every other map, but just with a different look? Though I do also believe that every once in a while, they should throw in a simple map for the nostalgic players.
  23. Treyarch has been promoting this campaign like there's no tomorrow so I think I'll check that out first, as much as I want to play zombies, I do like to play a game for its story first.
  24. In one of the radios on Cotd, Richtofen talks about how he "accidentally" kills his Mexican test subject. He then goes on to talk about how they will be bringing him a new test subject that was captured at Verruct. He assumed it was Peter, but it turned out to be Dempsey. As for JFK's return, there was a CVG article (I think it was CVG?) talking about Black Ops II and at the very bottom of the second page he goes on to talk about zombies. The problem was that the way in which the article was written, it made it look like the guy was saying all his zombie speculation stuff was confirmed, but it wasn't. There's even an editor's note at the bottom of the page that states that everything contained within the article is only the opinion of the author of the article. Don't get me wrong though, I would love to see the return of the FIVE & Cotd crews. And if the campaign rumors are true, then I believe it would be very likely we will see their return.
