Actually the Aether and Agartha are two completely different places. The Aether was where Sam's soul resided after she entered the pyramid and allowed her to control the zombies. It's kind of like purgatory, but a little different. Agartha is a mystical place where an ancient and technologically advanced civilization supposedly resides. Agartha is never directly mentioned though, and is only a theory to explain some of the mysteries of Shangri La.

I'm just excited that zombies are coming back. I don't know about the rest of you, but the fact that they're returning is honestly good enough for me. I can't wait to see what they'll do with these new game modes, how the campaign will play out, and what they'll add to multiplayer to make it even better. But in the end, I will no doubt play zombies more than anything else in the game, as I just really enjoy playing zombies whether or not they add new stuff, and I absolutely love the story. Zombies is the main reason why I love cod so much, and I already find myself obsessing over what comes next. Treyarch has made fantastic games each time and are quite ingenious with each new zombie map, what with how they work the story in there, spicing up the gameplay, and still keeping it that classic survival we all love. Many people complain about nowadays that most zombie games are becoming less horror/survival and more action, that's just because people just don't get scared like they used to. Way back then, the phantom of the opera made people faint in the theater, but now people would barely bat an eye. Zombies is still all about survival, they've just made it flashier. Moon was harder than shit but by far one of the most fun maps to play. This is just my opinion anyway, and the point is, I love zombies and can't wait to get my hands on Black Ops II.

Nazi Zombies - The game.

Yes, yes it does. I play black ops mainly for zombies. I just upgraded my graphics card for optimal graphics in world at war. If they made a zombie campaign you could bet your Jugg that I would play the entire campaign before even touching a bo2 multiplayer match. In the end, its always going to matter, because who doesn't want to super size their video-game experience. When i said "Speculators", i was aiming at those who are completely dissing it saying that it's a bad idea and it would ruin zombies. (Which BTW is totally ) No it wouldn't, because even so, treyarch makes GREAT games and would make an even better zombies campaign. Nuff` Said :| . I wholeheartedly agree. We are sitting here judging something that we have never even seen nor played. I know a majority of fans get these games primarily for multiplayer, but they can still have that same multiplayer in a Zombies game. All that would be different is that the campaign would focus on zombies, which I for one would enjoy a whole lot more than any campaign a cod game has had before. And that absolutely does not mean that they will take out the classic survival mode, that would still be in there as their co-op mode. So I would love to see a Zombies game, and I think it would have the potential to be the greatest cod of all time. -
I originally though Tacitus just pertained to campaign, but I could see them involving it into zombies as well.

ye scary stuff. the audio will be a huge gameplay winner on this map, something totally new and fresh in regards to making the player feel vulnerable. I thought the audio on Moon was done quite well myself. -
Trailer on sunday maybe zombies?
Kill_All_Monkeys replied to bobxd2's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I thought the trailer came out today, not tomorrow? -
Yeah but they are all a joke Especially Elite match-up. The point being though that they got them to do it, whether it was entertaining or not. So if Treyarch did want to make a map with the actors from Expendables, then it's certainly within the realm of possibility.

New trailer coming out tomorrow! Zombies?
Kill_All_Monkeys replied to Matuzz's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I would love it if they threw in one of the cod zombie labs teaser at the end like they did for the last couple of trailers for black ops. -
I agree with keeping the weapon balance and having those bad weapons in the box. But the problem I see is that I feel as if all the "bad" weapons are pretty much snipers and shotguns, and maybe SMGs. You can't deny that ultimately, and if used right, assault rifles were the dominant weapons in zombies, at least the most used because people just generally don't know how to effectively use a sniper or shotgun to their advantage in zombies. You also have to take into account the fact that most people don't even know how to quickscope. I believe there should be a buff, but also include a larger variety of each weapon category. Don't put only 2 snipers and 2 shotguns (wall weapons excluded) in the box along side like what, 5 assault rifles? They just need to throw more weapons in there, not a select few.

Host Migration and MP Engine?

If they do competitive game modes like how Lamia has somewhat hinted at, then map voting could come into play here. -

What creeps me out the most is that there is a Z with an arrow pointing to the left on the walls. It's at 1:26 in the video. Yeah I saw that, which totally made me crap my pants with a mixture of excitement and fear.... -
There's also all the celebrities they get to appear on ELITE.

Waiting for someone to make the joke about seeing the picture above and only seeing the words "bathe naked" in the dude's signature... -
Nazi Zombies - The game.

I think a second disk could fix this and certainly allow a campaign mode, but I believe what makes zombies unique is that the story is told pretty much entirely through gameplay. Now I do like the idea of incorporating more cutscenes, or at least something like they did in Kino for the sake of moving the story along or showing how they arrived to that map. A second disk would be more useful in the sense that you could just throw more zombies content in there, such as more maps and game modes. Possibly some kind of advanced and extremely detailed ranking and leaderboard system as well. They could also have a feature where, by completing certain challenges or actions in-game, you could unlock concept art or even dossiers much like how they've done the intel thing in the past. Think of the possibilities this could allow for. -
The second picture is most likely from campaign, but what I think would be the more plausible possibility is that a zombie map is made that is based off that campaign mission/multiplayer map based on that.

I'm pretty sure just about any movie studio would jump on the chance to be able to advertise in the highest selling game of all time. And the jokes would be hysterical, especially for Chuck Norris.

Nah, they were there since Ascension came out.

I don't know if this was mentioned earlier as I didn't really have time to read the whole thread but.. I would love to see a boss round where each individual player has to deal with a boss zombie that only goes for them and them alone. They could follow the players tactics, learn them, and truly challenege the players on an indivual basis, to prove how good you really are. I recall Lamia mentioning them already doing this for strikemode, so I believe it is quite possible for them to implement it into zombies as well. Apart from the Pentagon Thief from Black Ops, all the zombies/special zombies just went for whatever player was closest, and I just think it's far too easy for one or two (even three) players to just hang back and let someone else do all the dirty work for them. They could even go as far as to make each zombie visible only to the player it's targeting, and can only be damaged by them as well. And if the player goes down, then the boss zombie just runs off with a perk or something important (like the monkeys from Shang or Ascension). Just my thoughts on this anyways.

Yuri was the guy in Ascension you save from Sam. Harvey Yena made the Scavenger, or at least it's PaP version Yuri was the one that killed Gersch. He was the one you saved on Ascension. Yuri was never heard of again. And I never heard of this Yena guy. Care to share some info? I keep forgetting that it's Gersch and not Yuri, I mix the two up a lot. But I'm pretty sure Yena was the one who made the Scavenger because of it's PaP version's name, H.Yena Infradead or whatever it was.

I remain very optimistic toward the 8 player modes. And I cannot stress the fact enough that there is still going to be that 4 player survival mode we all know and love. Nobody is forcing anybody to play anything.

The monkeys in Ascension are zombified, and they throw grenades..... god I hate them so much...
