Galil? Galil?!? AWWWWYEAAAAHHHBOIIIIII

Well seeing as how we call them rare earth metals, those are the ones that exist so I tried to go for the real world part of it. I based the powers off of what they do in real life although I had to stretch it on a couple of them based on what they are used for, but with the power of 115 anything is possible.

Given my drop rate (assuming people think its fair), after you pack a punched a weapon (say round 10 on kino) then it would either be the next dogs round (11-13 at a 50% chance) or round 15-17 before you even get an elemental drop. Depending on how many are in the game then it might not even be the one you wanted. I see that as pretty fair since I hardly ever PaP before 25 unless its the ballistic knife then I try to PaP it asap. Possible elements courtesy of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rare_earth_element

Well they could make it cost about 10k points as well. An extra pack a punch with a beefy little weapon mod would make for quite the weapon so I figure it wouldn't be easy to get.

It would need some really good balance so it doesn't ruin the balance that is already in it. Maybe have it where you can't upgrade your gun to an elemental weapon until you pack a punch it normally first. Then only when you have a pack a punch weapon in your inventory can you receive an earth metal drop from bosses (common every other kill/first kill), hellhounds (uncommon), or extremely rare (every 5-7 rounds) from a normal zombie. Then you can do like with the vril device on Moon and put it in a little floaty thing and when you pack a punch the weapon again, it drains the power from the earth metal causing it to disappear, and is added to your weapon. I think that would be MUCH better than just "Hey Treyarch, get it where we can pack a punch a weapon again".

I've been really wanting this since I heard it was on the MP engine. They could also implement a zombies prestige kind of thing, but to prestige you have to complete a certain challenge rather than just the usual "get x amount of xp". Aside from that, I'd like to know how many revives I've gotten with the PaP ballistic knife (looove that thing), accuracy/headshots with my guns, and especially seeing a +500 xp for wiping out a whole horde of maggotsacks in one shot or a string of numbers for taking out a bunch of heads with the PaP M16.

The reason this won't work is because there are no dedicated servers in CoD. The cost to support the number of players and lobbies is just not feasible on that level. They MAY implement host migration in zombies thanks to it being on the multiplayer engine but otherwise the only way to remove hosts is with dedicated servers. Pretty sure pc has a few but I think the owner has to pay a monthly fee.

Richtofen discovered the MPD when he tried to first teleport himself but accidentally went there. The way I imagine it was that the MPD is in a hollowed out chamber just under the moon's surface so the oxygen has no way to escape. The teleporter pad was installed later on creating a hole above the MPD making the sealed chamber no longer sealed. Griffin station was Richtofen's project he hid from Maxis for his own personal research. As far as I know, its currently unclear as to when the Americans/Russians found it but there is evidence of them being there.

I love it when I get butt chased. Its hilarious plus adds a brief challenge. Best way to prevent it though, is make sure somebody has QED's and tosses one hoping for it to explode its nice big asstronaut explosion.

Theater Mode Confirmed for Zombies

So based on what he's said, will there be a way to level up in zombies now? I've been wanting it since I heard it was on the MP engine. I hope they do the weapon system right though, assuming they let you do create a class. The higher level people would have an even bigger advantage over the lower/newer people. At least when I prestige in MP, I have a fair chance since the default classes are still decent. -
Then whats the point of throwing the zombies in there if the zombies kills don't effect the outcome? That'd be like playing on Stockpile and there are 48 doors walking around trying to close on you while you avoid a measly team of 4.

I don't want a zombies campaign. Yeah it'd be cool, but the way they do it makes it much more involved. I don't want to have my hand held as I try to piece together what i'm listening to with what I already know. Cutscenes would be cool to see like they did for CotD. Past an opening I'm pretty much against the campaign.

I don't play MW3 because the game doesn't feel right to me but I've played multi on CoD since Cod 3. All these guys are spot on, but in those games where you are having trouble getting kills, or people keep taking your kills, go towards where one of your teammates have recently died. Depending on the location, you can try to judge how the enemy will be. Uncommon area for kills? Probably running towards your spawn or taking a route to a better place Got a teammate near that one already? Best to leave it alone if they are competent. Common area for kills? Most likely holding his ground. Depending on the map and player they could be holding it off from the inside by running a route and checking each entry with one of them guarded by a betty/claymore so be careful and wary when entering a building where you know your enemies like to be. Also use the cutbacks sparingly. I'm always checking for these people who do that and most of the time I'll get them with C4 if they don't have the right perk. You will have to play around with your classes to find which works for you though. On Black Ops I like a Galil + Dual mag with ghost/sleight of hand/tactical mask and C4.

If you pay attention to the radios and easter eggs, its not hard to piece it together yourself. Plus on this site, you can find several theories and extremely well thought out examinations of the story and quotes from each map. I love how much work the people here put into the story, and I've learned WAY more than I thought I would just poking around. :D

Best ones I've ever heard actually. I didn't think many people would have nicknames for their guns. When me and DG get into it, we'll confuse randoms by saying these when we get them out of the box.

Where did Maxis Teleport?
Poptart replied to MexicanIlluminati's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I always thought it was his soul in the machine. An AI that complex would have taken years to develop plus the response time would have been much longer. Sam's control over the Aether easily gives her the ability to transfer his soul into the system. Why she didn't bring him into the Aether is another question, unless she let him into the machine when the group arrived at No Man's Land/Moon. -

Do you and your friends have nicknames for some the box weapons? We have a name for almost every single one: Ray gun: Ronald Raygun Galil: Griddle HK21: Happy Karl RPK: Rapidly pimpin' Karl Ballistic Knife: Ball-suckstic knife (I actually like it on a few maps if i get it early) CZ75(s): Crazy Zebra(s) China Lake: China RAAAKE (takeo reference) FN FAL: Full-Awful (nikolai reference) HS-10: Hot-Sh*t L96A1: L96-G*y-1 Spectre: Spectry G11: 11 year old Gary Scavenger: pronounce it Scuh-venger 31-79 JGb215: Shinky-Dink QED: Qwed's Monkey Bombs: Monk-monks M72-LAW: The Lawl That's all I can think of off the top of my head. You guys have any different ones or are we the only ones that do this?

You can no-clip on Shi no numa and there is writing on one of the walls on the outside of the map where a zombies spawn is that has Tunguska just written on the wall (http://i35.tinypic.com/2aaliqb.jpg) and some of the words that flash by in the teleporter on Der Reise mention Tunguska.
