Thanks, I remember when the site came back during midnight, and that was the first thing I clicked on. Scared the hell outta me. Hahaha.
-
'Fetch me their souls!' haha, nice.

I agree. If you go to a post now, you can see who has given brains to that post. Now if you click on their name, you get send directly to their profile. I suggest changing this so that if you click on someone's name, you instead see the reason they gave brains on your screen. (If they gave one of course that is)

I like the idea of needing to explain why you give brains to a certain post. Of course, your explanation doesn't need to be paragraphs long, so just limit it to max 2 lines. (and if possible, have this apply only to threads - not comments) This way, I think brains will become more personal and thus will be far less likely to be abused or the rep. system getting out of control. That combined with the ability of mods to de-brain posts - if necessary - I think is all we need to do for now. Test this out for a test period of a month or so, and ask everyone's opinion again. Then (after we've have experienced the new rep system for a lenghty time) based on those new suggestions and input we can continue to make more major and influential decisions like whether to limit brains or block them entirely on certain sub-forums.

A Q&a For Cod:ol Zombies [Character Diarys 1.20!]
Slade replied to DragonGJY's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Great stuff, Dragon! I found these Diary entries, Any chance you could translate these? Thanks. -
Welcome!

Nice ones, Jake. I quite like those.

Aint no one allowed to touch Russman! I also tried to make some brains last night, but they ended up looking more like purple breasts. .. I blame my browsing history
-
Your definition is ready.

Thank you Lenne and Paolo. I'm now toying around with 32x32. While it does take more work and time, the more pixels make it much easier for my sketches to get from paper to my screen. I'll post some when they're done.
-
Yeah, I think you're right. First time actually creating pixel art, I was already struggling quite a bit with the 20x20 pixels limit. versus versus . Here's a size comparison. 20 24 32
-
As promised, here's some concept Z smileys. Also brains. nomnomnom.
-
Great idea. Having CoDz-themed emoticons would be awesome. I'll try to make some tonight. If I'm satisfied with the results, I'll post them here.

Your greatest personal zombies discoveries
Slade replied to Rory 1201's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Discovered Brock's (that explorer from Shang) last name is Russman. Conspiracy theories ready..? -
Boom made a great thread about this series here. But nevertheless, this is awesome. I've been wanting more from these guys ever since I saw that music video 'I Think We're Alone Now'. Great stuff. Richtofen & Takeo are spot-on.

Poll: Which DLC was the best for Black ops 2?
Slade replied to Stop Mocking Me0's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Apocalypse. Come on now people, fighting right next to the Red Light District with Science Center Nemo in the background? Nothing beats Amsterdam. -
Treyarch never owned the rights to 'Zombies'. Activision does as it's part of the Call of Duty brand. Everything Treyarch makes (from audio to 3D models) under the CoD name is all owned by Activision. So that for instance, Activision can easily give existing assets like audio, models, textures and what not, from any IW/3arc title and give them straight to Tencent Games without any legal issues with IW or Treyarch. Remember, CoD Online is especially made and tailored to the exact needs and interests of the average Chinese gamer. I'm thinking it's part cyborg part zombie because futuristic stuff is much more popular in Asia than here in the West.

A new twist on 'Your Favorite Map' (Black Ops 2)
Slade replied to TheBSZombie's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Town. No -- 'build this useless thing here, withdraw unlimited(!) monies from bank there, road to Sam's whining thataway' -- just straight up killing Zombies. Mob's a close second. I really like Mob's setting, design and characters. The other maps are way too easy. For me they get boring after round 15 or so. Town I can play all day with some nice relaxing music and a cup of coffee. -
Welcome friend! I'm Slade. Since you've posted an introduction, you can now claim your very own, shiny Introduction Medal right here. Just ask for the Introductions Medal and post a link that refers back to this thread. Enjoy! Hope you enjoy your stay here. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask anyone around here.

Good thought provoking stuff here. I was thinking about it the other day, and my immediate thought was. That Origins Samanta, is Buried Maxis. Pretty far fatched? Let me explain further .. Once Maxis takes control, he's all like "lol, bye" and never says a word again. Weird, why doesn't he announce the drops anymore? His quotes aren't even in the gamefiles, so Treyarch decided on purpose to silence Maxis once he becomes the allmighty thingamajig. Did they get lazy? Did they forget? Or, maybe he's not talking anymore, because he's not there anymore. Now we also know that Richtofen (with limited Aether power) can send our crew back in time, to correct their mistakes. And that he can change his voice to someone nearly choking to death. So imagine what one could do, when he does have full control of the Aether. Perhaps that someone can now go jump back and forth between time as he choses, and even manipulate his voice to full extend. Anyway, what interests me the most is that Samantha and Maxis' goals are essentially the same. open le gateway to Agartha. Maxis, in full control, wanted to open the gateway like he said. But he soon realised that even while so close to the rift and with all his power, it still wasn't enough to open it. He needed moar. So, he decided to travel back in time. Pre-Origins. He got into WW1 Maxis' head, and manipulated himself to start digging in France. That's how the events of Origins were created. However, he couldn't have known that he, Maxis, would soon die. And because Maxis died, a loop is created. [WW1 Maxis dead = no Maxis in Buried, equals the paradox Maxis and Sam never shut up about] That would also explain why Sam get's so angry all the time when you make the slightest mistake. Remember Maxis 'Excellent work my frien-NO YOU FOOL YOU MUST FOLLOW MY INSTRUCTIONS!"? And how Maxis and Sam are the only one's talking about this 'loop must be closed' It's also interesting how throwing Drone Maxis into the light is a step of the EE. By throwing him into the light, Maxis' life is safed = paradox solved. Mind blown, or am I talking BS? Anyway, food for thought, amigos.

Your most memorable moment of black ops 2
Slade replied to TheBSZombie's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Most memorable moments? Definitely all my moments onboard the bus with the crazy Bus Driver. "Falling down deathtrap of a rotten bridge ahead. Been there, done that" "Prepare to disembark, and be eaten!" and my personal favorite I actually play Tranzit from time to time with randoms just to hear Tedd's crazy comments. -
I'll just copy and paste this here, seeing as my opinions on the matter haven't changed one bit. PC version. + Le dedicated servers. + The amount of maps, and their diversity continues to impress. Maps are quite large this time around, nice. + Music and Voice Work are as sharp as ever. + I love the artistic style of the emblems and calling cards. imo it's better than giving 12 year olds the tools to draw tits. + Finally able to create your own soldier, but... - It is EXTREMELY limited. Disappointing. - No theater. - Lack or either complete removal of essential features. Why is the FOV locked at 60? Seriously? Not this pc port bs again. It makes it unplayable and the fact that Black Ops 2 did allow you to change it and this game doesn't just blows my mind. And seeing as you only have to edit one file for the FOV to adjust makes this all a slap in the face to people who are used to having a higher FOV. Also missing is the frame cap option. - Poor optimization. Crashes, freezes, stutters, random frame drops for no apparant reason. The graphics options are a complete joke. Shadows, either on or off. No low-normal-high option. What? -ding- - No Audio Settings Another slap in the face, this time for people that have any hearing problems. Or people who, you know, might want to change the sfx or music volumes seperate? Or that use headphones? 'Audio settings? What are audio settings?' - IW. Yeah that's right. There are no audio settings in this game. No seperate volume sliders. No audio presets. Nothing. The only thing you can change is the general volume. Again. Why!? In Black Ops 2 (bo1, waw), you could change the volume of the Music, SFX, Voices all separate. Why not in Ghosts? Hell, Treyarch even put a simple 'boost voices' option in there for hearing impaired, along with other sound mix presets for headphones, speakers, tvs, to give you the best sound quality possible. This is unaccaptable. - Graphics. Seriously guys, we are near the end of 2013. And on top of that you claim that your game is made with a next-gen engine and pushing the boundaries. Apart from some high-res textures, the game looks awful. In places even terrible. Also, those damn death animations ... 2/10. What a complete joke. With extremely poor optimization, removal of great features - that were featured in BO 2 - for no reason; Ghosts is yet another perfect example of a lazy, insultingly bad, 'We don't give a s--t' PC port. They don't even try anymore. I only recommend this game to die-hard cod fans, or people who have set their standard really, really low. Which you shouldn't.
