Would you want Vulture Aid added to all maps?
Slade replied to Rissole25's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Never said that. It completely removes splash damage altogether btw. But yes PhD is ridiculously OP and now that we have that persistent-upgrade chances of PhD coming back are slim to none. -
Welcome to the forums! Thanks for the info, I'll keep this in mind next time I start up Buried.

Would you want Vulture Aid added to all maps?
Slade replied to Rissole25's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I'm with Lithium on this one. Adding Vulture Aid to all the maps kind of breaks the whole 'perk-to-map exclusivity' thing they've been going for in Blops 2. (Tombstone in TranZit. Who's Who in Die Rise. E. Cherry in MoTD etc. etc.) Also I think VA is OP. Perks are supposed to give you one benefit. VA gives you three (More ammo/points, invincibility clouds ala VR-11 and the ability to see where the perks/weapons and the box are) -
Well if you are gonna ask someone then what MMX said "When you're looking for a specific weapon, you are more likely to think probability is against you" applies. It just takes more than some peoples games to convince me. The only exception to the 1-10 chance measure rule uptil this point has been that everytime someone uses the box (and not get a monkey) the chance of getting one are slighty increased. Wen you do get one the chance resets to its original value. Other than this example there hasn't been an exception to that rule. Unless there is some proof I say the chances of getting a Mark-II are the same on all maps.
-
The chances of getting a certain gun out of the box are measured on a 1-10 scale. (1 being very common. 10 being very, very rare). The Raygun is an 8/10 if I'm not mistaken. On all maps. I don't see how the Mark 2 has different numbers on different maps, this has never happend before. The way I see it, it's just another one of those hoaxes floating around like the 'dolphin dive on eachother in order to increase the number of powerup drops'.
-
I've never understood where this rare-common thing came from. To my knowledge the chance of getting the Mark 2 out of the box in Buried is the same as in all the other maps.

I feel like we'll get an Metro 1/Last Light situation here. (without giving anything away) At the end of the first Metro game Artyom (the player) was given a choice that would result in two drastically different endings (Ending A and . Now in the sequel; Metro Last Light, the game basicly went with 'in our game - Artyom has chosen Ending A' B was considered non-canon. I think in Treyarch's next game we learn that our crew sided with Maxis all the way through and now they'll have to find some way to save Earth. This way, the towers served a purpose. They gave us the chance to experience two different 'endings' to Zombies. And they set the stage for the battle against a real villain (sorry Doc) - Maxis.
-
Nice idea. It's unlikely that this is the definitive end for Zombies though. Treyarch's next project has been in development for almost a year now, and they even advertise Origins as "this next chapter in the Zombies Legacy". If it was the final map it would've made a whole lot more sense to call it "the grand finale of the Zombies Legacy".

So with the new trailer out we've got a pretty good look at the re-design of our beloved O4. I'd like to hear your opinions on the new design, like it? hate it? Here are my opinions: (Click on the images for a larger view) Takeo Masaki In my opinion definitely the best re-design. Takeo looks badass 8-) Nikolai Belinski Rezno-err Nikolai. Nikolai looks alright, much more serious than before. Let's see if that translates well into his script. Tank Dempsey Actually looks a lot more different than I had expected. Nontheless I like Tank's new design. Edward Richtofen Richtofen. Whoah. I can't help but smile everytime I see his new design.

Enjoy! EDIT: Yes I have, he says "I assume that a 3D printer is contained somewhere within" "Pavov's dog. Schrödinger's Cat. Somehow 'Russman's Monkey' doesn't have the same ring" is the quote. I'll be sure to add these and more in the next update ;)

If you're looking for (a) team/teammates, there's a whole section dedicated to just that. You can find it here

Very excited! Cannot wait for the official trailer. Also, is Frost set in Amsterdam?
-
From an idea to reality, sweet! Can't wait to see what users will come up with, might just even make my own design if time permits.

Looks like Takeo will get his vengeance after all. Cool.

This is currently being discussed right now here and here

This is a very common 'problem' amidst (gaming) communities. Once something (lets say a new IP) becomes successful, any smart developer or publisher will try to build - and more importantly - expand upon the foundation of that game. (a franchise is born) In other words, sequels arrive. Merchandise. Movie/TV Series licensing - You name it. Anything that'll help make the franchise's bigger and broaden the audience gets shown to the public. That's business marketing. Now at some point during all this, a often small (relatively speaking) percentage of (dedicated) players will start to get annoyed by the developer/publisher's constant need for expansion of said franchise. They often feel like the franchise has steered away from its roots, and/or come to conclusion that things just have become waay to complicated. So they ask for the franchise to go 'back to its roots' - they ask for simplicity. Problem is; Publishers, developers, they're all out there to get our money. Simplicity just doesn't sell these days. Well atleast it doesn't sell as well as fresh "new" content.

Just checked, the -2 is from Ascension. The circle thing is from Shangri-La and yes fullmoon from Nacht.

Slade replied to bbobs2's topic in Research & Development
Moon from nacht. -2 from Ascension if I remember correctly. Dial stone from Shang. And a red bottle with some weird lighting going on there. -

What Would Make DLC4 Unforgettable?
Slade replied to Ehjookayted's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Hades controlling the Zombies. Here ya go. -
Very nice Nathan! Unless you're planning to use the models for something that can get you money, you won't have to worry about any piracy-related issus.
-
Then I would suggest that the contestants upload two separate images of their logo. One in the original resolution and one resized to the requirements. Also in terms of the contest itself, perhaps let our users vote for a top three or five, then let the staff ultimately decide which design will be crowned winner. - H

Searched my harddrive, couldn't find them sorry. Looked around some forums, only models I could find were Blops 1, but they are already converted to the CoD WAW engine so you're not gonna be able to open them in Maya/Blender.
