  4. Tвою мать! The new Deus Ex was just leaked by Square minutes ago. Are you from the future?! @the_clay_bird True, next-gen WW2 would be amazing. And with Zombies' ever increasing budget, they can go pretty much wherever they want. Perhaps we'll see the setting and story behind the Primis photo after all.
  5. I liked how BO2 had two main parellel storylines as part of the overarching narrative, one in the final years of the Cold War and the other in 2025. Great narrative choice, I hope this returns in BO3. It would be the best way imo to satisfy those who want CoD to go back in time versus those who are happy with the future setting. Let's face it, CoD MP will never be set in WW2 again. The Campaign on the other hand they can go pretty much wherever they want.
  6. @the_clay_bird @Chopper The answer is simple really, the majority of people who buy CoD don't buy DLC. Instead, they just play that one Zombies map that came with the disc. This move was clearly done to persuade as many of those people into buying the DLC anyway. Now only buying the main game is no longer an option because you have to get at least one of the DLCs in order to play Exo Zombies. And hey if you're going to buy one why not just get the Season Pass for this amazing price, right?
  7. @Nightmare Voyager @the_clay_bird The "Sledgehammer put in Exo Zombies because of the reception to Exo Survival" story is most likely not true. Even before the game goes Gold, which is a few months before release, they're already working on the DLC. And even before any of that, they're presenting Activision with their DLC plans. Because remember, Sledgehammer doesn't actually develop most of the DLC content, that's usually outsourced to Raven and more recently, High Moon Studios. So way before the actual product is in our hands, Activision has already assigned those studios to work on X map and X modes for the DLC season. It's way more plausible that Activision told Sledgehammer to deliberately put Exo Zombies on the DLC to give people more incentive to buy the DLC and Season Pass, as it now comes with a "brand new" exclusive mode. Then have a teaser of the mode in Exo Survival as icing on the cake. You also don't make a full fledged motion captured teaser cutscene in just 2 weeks before release, let alone come up with a brand new mode and add that in your DLC plan a few weeks from your games release.
  8. Here's the scary part. Exo Zombies was pushed to DLC to increase DLC and Season Pass sales. Activision has confirmed DLC sales are increasing year-over-year. They could just as well "suggest" to Treyarch to make their Zombies DLC only, too. Also supporting pay to win? This has to be a meme, no one actually does this.
  9. Discussion of fake "leaked" information is not allowed on CoDz. Read the rules before posting.
  10. If you're PS4/PC and want to play Infection early, print out a picture of your fav fastfood restaurant and one of an angry George Romero, place them on the top your TV, then fire up Outbreak.

  11. @MysteryMachineX Not really, you must have misread, MMX. I've explained that the events were retconned in Origins. I never said that means either one isn't true anymore. As you know, retconning happens all the time in fiction. It's pretty much unavoidable when doing a prequel story. So just because an event was retconned in Map X, doesn't mean you can go and conclude from that that Map X isn't canon to the main storyline anymore. Instead, I also believe both versions, pre-retcon and post, should be counted, so I'm pretty sure we're on the same page.
  12. @Chopper It's incredibly stupid if you ask me, but I'll try to explain. Some events from WaW are ignored or re-written (see: retconned) in Origins. For instance: In Moon / Der Riese, Maxis is perfectly healthy and Samantha is everything to him. But in Origins Maxis says he doesn't have a daughter, and like the other german soldiers, succumbs to the zombie sickness shortly after. Some folks can't accept the simple fact Treyarch retconned some stuff from the early days of the story to have Origins make sense, so they claim Origins to not be canon. @Black Hand Smith @Stop mocking me0 Removed posts for spoiling other games without using the spoiler tag. Make sure you don't forget it next time.
  13. >"Origins isn't canon because I don't like the ending and they retconned events from WaW"
  14. The Jet Gun is still 100 times worse than the V-R11. It has zero redeeming qualities.
  15. @Lenne you know what this means: Call of Duty Amsterdamned confirmed.
  16. Draw your last pathetic card so I can end this.

  17. I wasn't aware, the OP isn't exactly clear. Might need to split this thread into multiple ones to seperate discussions regarding features, map location / layout, weapons, story et cetera.
  18. Sure, it's definitely not a priority. Let's discuss the map's location / primary features.
  19. Regarding any custom quotes, adding them is easy. Here's some quotes of a character in muh test map, to give you an idea of what it would sound like when done right. If you want them, I'd suggest having one custom character to minimize the amount of sound files being used. If I'm not mistaken if you do your soundaliases right they overwrite the normal quotes that would be loaded into your map, so if you don't go overboard you shouldn't have any problems concerning sound asset limits.
  20. Call of Duty ≠ warfare. It's an entertainment product. You're essentially describing Rising Storm. In that game, if you're on the American side, you have access to vastly superior weaponry, including shotguns, flamethrowers and automatic rifles. So on paper the Americans are OP versus the Japanese, who mostly use bolt action rifles. On the other hand, the Japanese have access to portable mortars, can place grenades as boobytraps, suffer less from supression when fired upon, can grenade suicide without losing points to their team, and finally can use the Banzai Charge to great effect. So while each team has their own advantages, there are an equal amount of disadvantages to prevent one team from auto-winning a match before it even started.

It's true, voice recognition just doesn't understand us.

Surprising, as Scotland is deemed one of the better voices for call centres.

  23. CoDZ is a place where we can express our love for Zombies and beyond in a civil and respected atmosphere where anyone can join in on the conversation and express themselves, no matter their usergroup, join date, their views, background, opinions or anything else really. Like @Tasha said, we're all here to have some fun. Please don't assume the worst when someone posts something you don't like/agree with; try placing yourself in the poster's shoes before replying. Furthermore, don't take things too serious and personally. Life is a learning process, and receiving and voicing criticism is a big part of that. Criticizing others should always be done in a reasonable, polite and constructive manner. That way you can both learn something from it. Recently, I've seen a lot of pointless arguing that could've been easily avoided in a variety of ways. That's why I encourage everyone to make greater use of our report button. In addition to making us aware of inappropriate posts, it's the best way to let every available mod know something's up, in turn allowing us to get up to speed on the situation quickly, and step in if necessary to avoid further escalation. Like @Chopper said, we staff members are humans too. Daily life influences our decisions and attitude around these parts, both positively and negatively, whether we like it or not. And like everyone else, we make errors. We've had many trolls, attention seekers and misleaders in the past and we'll certainly have many more in the future. But that's absolutely no excuse to treat others in a different manner than you normally would.
