  1. Most likely referring to using the knuckles to give points to other players in the bank.
  2. Yeah Raygun has never been there.
  3. Even it is all based on K/D, I doubt the data you've collected will let you see this. The reason is I believe you need to have 5 tallies and blue eyes before you can upgrade base emblems. Thus, even the best K/D in the world could be a skull, if they stop playing as soon as they get to 5 tallies, derank to 1 tally, then play to 5 tallies, then stop, and so on. Good luck, but I doubt you will find anything conclusive.
  4. A complicated formula I am confident we will never find without help from the devs. There are far too many combinations and stat multipliers which would achieve logical ranking systems to check manually. Couple that with the fact that we know that activity affects tallies and eye color, adds a new level of depth. (For instance if you need 5 tallies & blue eyes to move up base emblem). Also any testing that happens will be far easier to do on accounts with no time played, so as the people trying to figure this system out get large amounts of kills/downs/revives it becomes much harder for them to skew their stats to test different theories.
  5. Well thank you for reported your experience with trying this. However I don't see where you get the idea that it is meant to be 4 v 4, even Richtofen mentions the option of working together. I think it would be fun to work together to get to a high round and then Grief out the last one! :P
  6. If so, this is terribly unfair to Grief players.
  7. The leaderboards record, wins / losses, taints, revives, and downs. I have been thinking of the enjoyment an 8 player co-op game would be, and it would work. 8 people cramed into the jugg room on farm would be hilarious. It would be simply for fun of course.
  8. I know where you are talking about, I don't think there's anything over there. You can probably get there on theater free-cam, no clip for sure. Anyone that doesn't know, its the tombstone room directly below where you have to jump across. It almost looks like you can make the jump, theres some barrels blocking the way as well. As for using the jet gun on the lava pit; you could always try but doubtful.
  9. Oh my, that sounds....amazing.
  10. If you are referring to the glitch where downed players can kill those who are reviving them, then this has already happened to me in TranZit. Me and a friend, he went down, no zombies around, he hit me with knuckles, game over. I went back and watched the theater to confirm that he downed me.
  11. Will do if this work day ever ends  If we play TranZit, I'm sure you'll see me go down in some ridiculous ways.
  12. Well last night my terrible TranZit lag returned :? Playing with randoms and riding on the bus. Let me tell you, when I lag, I should just avoid the bus, as it makes it ten times worse! Anyways I'm skipping all over the bus with a teammate, outside the bus one second, back in it the next. All of a sudden I see a down marker near my feet. Wtf I think, I'm not down?? Then I'm down out of nowhere and in literally 2 seconds I get sent to spectating and hear Richtofen's laugh. My teammate was laughing so hard, he said I went down and started bouncing violently off the ceiling of the bus. Then disappeared when he tried to revive me.
  13. Well I will say that adding in the mimimum kill levels helps this theory out immensely, as any numbers that don't line up can be shooed away because of this. If we are to really take this as truth, we must delve farther into the minimum kill levels for each rank. I think we are saying that shotguns are a minimum of 15k kills. But what about knife, skull, and two bones? If we can get this ironed out we can really put it to the test. Also, if this is accurate then the levels are quite lopsided. I mean there's only a range of 60 kdr between 1 bone and knife, but a range of 140 kdr between knife and shotguns. Seems strange but 200kdr would explain why one of my friends is still knife... Also if this is true, it works against Grief players, as getting downed is more prevalent and the games don't go far enough to rack up massive kill totals. I think people saying that ranks are determined by kdr is the reason why I have noticed an increase of dashboarders recently (damn boosters). So I'd appreciate it if everyone would stop regardless if its true or not. ps. I will be putting this to the test this weekend, I'll report results here.
  14. Had my first host migration fail last night after emping the PaP causing the host to rage. Chalk up a loss for out playing my oppenent.
  15. I've had host migration happen multiple times but it's never kicked me. Sometimes I had to wait a while for it to go through but it always worked in the end. Im on xbl. Could be your platform has host migration problems mine doesn't. Otherwise... I believe what is happening is the host dashboarding, so they are exiting the game before the information can be transferred, making the host migration fail and the game end, to preserve stats (so selfish)/ I have no idea what stats do or do not update for dashboarders on zombies. But i've seen it a lot in multiplayer and everyone gets a loss who is in the match ---> they did this so serial dashboarders would have outrageous w/l to go with their fake k/ds. Being in a match with them on zombies sounds far more horrible than the inconvenience it causes in multiplayer. So my guess is people are doing a lot of kill / down padding?!? I'm sickened.
  16. It should be mentioned that Town is the only survival map that includes the PaP. Farm has everything but, and bus depot has no perks or PaP. Also there is no wonder-weapon in survival, so ray-gun is the top weapon. Flopper and Mule-kick have been removed from the game completely.
  17. Very interesting...A few things to try to figure out the effect: 1) Test knife damage. Knife or glava-knuckles require less hits to kill. Maybe 2 knifes at round 3 or knuckles ohk longer or something 2) Knifing speed. This will be harder to test but should be possible on split screen. Maybe less time needed to reset knife, allowing you to knife in quicker sucession then before. 3) Longer insta-kill. Could be that insta-kills that you pick up have a longer duration. Try timing the next insta-kill you grab. Do some tests and report back.
  18. Yeah that would be a lot of fun. I've also wondered what would happen if 8 good players worked together to see how high they could get. It would be crazy having 8 players camping the bar! Anyone wanna try this, let me know. gt: baldage (xbl). Also who knows something might happen if you hit a certain round the game does hint that you can "work together".
  19. I play exclusively lone wolf except for one game played with one friend, and have over a 1 w/l. And I've never had a game freeze or host migration fail so it must be you. Be a beast and keep your team up. Otherwise pay the price  .
  20. I would say mostly speculation, I haven't run into anyone who claims to have perma-jugg or flopper but it would be pretty awesome especially the flopper. People have preformed tests on the stamina-up and found that they have a increase over "stock" stats. Yet, nothing quite confirmed yet until someone posts a video showing it that is. I wonder if a pc player could find them in the game files?
  21. I really dont feel like there is much starting strategy on Grief mainly: Steal as many kills as possible. Don't worry about maximizing points unless you are sure that no one is around you. I've taken many kills from the enemy while they are shooting a zombie in the leg and I swoop in and knife them. Use nades, go for head shots at long range. Basically try to get an early point lead. If your team has mics or are friends get them to spread out, so you cover the maximum area. Knife any afk players into the lava and get them downed asap. When enemies are downed early, you shouldn't be too concerned with harassing reviving players. Instead use that time to get your team a kill and point lead as the enemy has at least two players not killing zombies. That's about it. Try to hold out on buying any doors.
  22. They must have been terrible. @ Valmanway I've noticed that farm grief games typically are shorter than those on town. And I've pretty much had about the same experience, around round 10 is when people start going down, by 11-13 they go down a lot. Then the game ends. Town tends to last longer I've had quite a few go past 20, only had one game on farm go past 15 and that was when my oppenents had decent skill. Keep trying it, eventually you'll run into a team or player who pushes the game to a higher round.

    Tactics

I feel like pretty much everything has been covered here but i'll add a few things. You need not go prone to revive. Crouching will suffice and allows you to get away quicker. I've only been knocked off a revive once while crouched and I average around 20-30 revives per game. (Damn randoms ) When the opposing team is attempting prone revives, bring your zombies to them. Wont always work but when it does you usually get two downs for the price of one (even if they got the revive in). If someone goes afk, knife them into the lava. I had another one but I forgot it while writing this. Will update later.
  24. Otherwise Treyarch would be basically telling us that they died on the moon from zombies or starvation or lack of air.
