    New QED effect?

I don't know if it happened to any of you, but I had a weird thing that happened to me when playing Moon solo. I had one crawler, he was in the Bio Dome doors that lead to Laboratories, whereas I was standing right next to the PHD Flopper. I threw some QED's at the machine trying to get a free perk, but none of them had gave me a perk. Instead, something very interesting happened - zombies started to spawn. Now I know that throwing it at the last zombies can spawn more zombies, but it was an actual wave. I also noticed that my round count had gone one up. You'd say that I killed the crawler with the QED, but I was too far away from it to QED to reach it. The last thing - the one that really forced me to post this thread(I would not bother posting this without this fact) is that my crawler from this round was still alive at this round. It was still in (near) the place I had left him when using QED's, crawling around newly spawned zombies. So, can QED also start new rounds with the previous round zombies still being on the map, not killed? Did anything like that happen to you?
  2. Just as the title says - what would you change in the map? Besides all those glitches that could be fixed, there is one thing I would really like to change - the Zap guns. I mean, it is a pretty cool wonder weapon, but it seems... Too simple. A copy of DG2 and DG3, basically. I'd say it would be more logical to make one "zap" gun, have the same or similar effect to ray gun, and the second gun to have the same or similar effect to DG2. The reason being is that Ray Gun does use some kind of radiation (you can even adjust it, not really, but on the side of the gun there is, I think, something that would allow you to change the wavelength/power>) This would mean that radiation combined with electricity would somehow create a strong microwaves - I think it's more logical than making microwaves with two guns shooting electricity. Also, wouldn't it be cool to have three wonderweapons in one? Well, that's all I would change really, maybe they could also make a more effective boss/boss round than just an astronaut coming from nowhere with no story to it. What in your opinion should/could be changed in this map, and why would you decide to add/remove something?
  3. This theory is pretty cool but it does bring some more confusion to an already tangled story of Zombies. Your dinosaur thing is impossible, since you would not be able to explain why you have area 51 there. The moon is confirmed to be between 1960's to 2011/12, so this is another fact that ruins the theory. I personally don't believe that those rockets could hit Earth, making the story begin, because then it would create many parallel universes in the story, and our characters would end up in an infinite loop - just like Gary and Brock in Shangri-La. This would make the zombie storyline not progress anymore. Good theory, but needs re-thinking and gathering some more facts.
  4. I understand that some of the things I hate you love, because overall these are great features, it's just some details that really annoy me. I have nothing against excavators until they don't glitch. Astronaut, easy to trap, yet very annoying when it steals your perk, also we don't know any story about him, which frustrates me because I would like to know the origins of such outstanding features of the game. Thank you for the replies! :)
  5. In other words: This map is literally unfinished, let's list the things that are wrong with it. First of all, I'd say, I hate zap guns. I may not have the best aim, but seriously, direct impact to kill one zombie? That's the only WW to have that crap! Second, Excavators. They glitch. They are horrible. They screw up your high round games. There's no need to talk how this feature is an unfinished FAIL. Although it does make the game harder, but... On this map, what does not make this game harder? (besides hacker) Third, Astrounaut Zombie. I personally don't really mind a boss-like zombie slowly walking around and thinking how to screw up my game, but it does glitch sometimes, and it is pretty annoying when you try to get somewhere, and you meet him in the doors. At least they did something good about him - he loves listening to music. Fourth - No Man's Land. Interesting feature, but it is so stupid sometimes... A small object, detail, something seemingly unimportant can waste a lot of your time. The zombies there are pretty annoying. And yes, I know that it's mostly the noobs that complain about it, but for me this feature should not exist. No on Moon. It makes this map complete HELL. I have never hated speed cola so much before buying the map pack. Hellhounds eat your ass when training, zombies manage to run through a deep water, where you cannot even walk fast, and obviously missing MS/Grenade explosions. For a beginner, gaining 5000 points on NML is UNBELIEVABLY hard. But then, we can always say that Moon is not a map for beginners. A trainy map, but still not as easy as some others. Fifth - Amount of new players there. And I know this is not TARC fault, but seriously, nearly everytime I enter a lobby, the players rounds are between 1 and 15. And I admit - I am new to this map, I bought it recently "for fun", and my highest round on it is currently 13 on co-op. I always end up playing with people who don't understand that if you get downed after falling from the launching thingy in Bio Dome, you will also get down when you try that again. And again. (obviously they don't buy PHD cause beforehand they have wasted all their points on box/doors they're not gonna use). I love this map, but sometimes it is hard to play there, either because of the points above or even something else, I did not mention... So, if you feel like adding something to this list, or add something that is very good about the map, feel free to post it here and I will add it to the thread post. I'm new to the forums, please don't flame me if there was already a thread like that, I just want to know other people's opinions. If it is a duplicate indeed, then please delete this thread.
  6. The barriers... Do you mean the cables, and all other crap? On the left hand side when starting a game, there is a cable sticking out of the wall. If you run into it with a horde behind, it is nearly impossible to get away, but without zombies, you can go round it. It is seriously a tiny bit of cable sticking out, and this stops me from running the train. After so many times, it made my ps3 controller have a bouncy, annoying thing inside. :D
  7. I've heard that Astronaut dances whenever there is any song playing around him, however it must be in the bio dome. That'd explain him dancing to the phd flopper jingle.
  8. But since we have a proof that S-L is on Mars at some point, we cannot assume that this might be happening somewhere else in space. Of course, we can say that the planet that the temple of doom is on is very similar to Mars, or the same... Since MDT's can teleport and enable time travel, and were created by "mere" humans, why wouldn't Vril-Ya be so powerful to create their own dimension, a second universe that they could change to their liking? We have discovered that the mountain in the background is from Mars. But that still gives us more questions than answers, like everything in Zombies. How do they survive in Mars? What is eclipsing sun? How did the temple get here along with life? Is there any other object in the sky that could be big enough to at least compare it to the three orbs in the background?
  9. I hate it, just because it's so tight. I do not own the map pack, I've played it on my friends ps3, and I hate it only because there is no free space there, it seems very claustrophobic, like they forgot to add some more space to there, unlike practically every other map, you could always find a nice, open area. Underground area is quite interesting in Shangri-La, but you usually get downed here if you play with people who do not have experience with zombies. I died too many times there to like it. Partly my fault, partly it's the people who try the hard maps before learning the basics. But, many zombie players are like that "your max round is 10? gtfo". If you don't get help from better players, you're not going to get far.
  10. Wait... The three objects cannot be planets or moons right? Does that mean they are some sort of artificial satellites/thingies? And what eclipses sun in Shangri-La, when now we know that the moons and planets are too small of that?
  11. Firstly, did anyone check if the mountains are there if you turn the eclipse on? And even if they would be still there, we could come up with a theory that "Eclipse" Shangri-La takes place on Earth, whereas the non eclipse one is already on the Mars. Now as of finding out how could the temple possibly end up on Mars, my theory is that it did not teleport, but it traveled. The really interesting thing is that tornado in the loading screen. For me it looks like Vril-Ya could control and access the temples through making them travel to one of the locations that would be set up for them. One is Himalayas, second one is Mars. There obviously could be some sort of gate, which would support the fact that Richtofen had appeared in a place where he felt weightless, and then found a jungle... But what about him teleporting to a jungle in the Mars? The loading screen clearly shows that the temples are on Mars. But what about Shangri-La being transported to Earth accidentally? On the loading picture we see multiple temples, being destroyed or depositioned. Maybe Vril-Ya could acutally transport the temples to different locations on a planet through the tornados? Mars' surface is very vulnerable. I really like what wikipedia says here : This would mean that initially all the temples were on Mars, and then got depositioned by the storms and tornados, and maybe floated away from the planet, into the space. On the Moon Loading screen you see one temple landing on Moon. Maybe it floated too close to Moon and landed to its surface. The same could happen with Earth. The temple could land somewhere in Himalayas, and the people living there could make it "prettier". I mean that they would see it came form the sky, so they would treat the temple as a gift from gods, making sure it doesn't get damaged any more, making it their shrine. One day Vril-Ya would come to Earth, seeking for the lost temple and find it along with the people worshiping them. Now I don't really know how it fits with the fact being that Shangri-La is on Mars all the time, but we cannot fully confirm that, so the theory might work. Also, there are two interesting things in SL's loading screen. First is in the sky, it's the orbs and the sky itself. The orbs are not very circular, so they cannot be any planets, or moons since Mars' got two moons, and one is eclipsing Sun. What are these orbs? Space ships? Maybe meteorites crashing onto Mars' surface? And the sky... It is... Blue. And the atmosphere on Mars is coloured Red, like the rest of this planet. This would mean that Virl-Ya terraformed the planet. Now terraforming is a thing that many scientists dream about. It's creating an atmosphere and correct conditions for life to exist on a planet/moon that does not contain such conditions. Let's don't underestimate Vril-Ya's, they could create a proper atmosphere on Mars, and thus we see shrubbery and plants, moss, etc. in Shangri-La. Lastly - what is this? Is this just some part of a rock? A stone plate? On the first look I thought it's a finger on a some sort of notebook, but it doesn't seem right. It looks very very odd for me, and it might be just me...
