What do you value the most
Electric Jesus replied to BriggzyJ97's topic in General Zombies Discussion
When I play ascension with my friends I say "leave jug closed! We'll get it for free eventually on the next few boss rounds." And all my friends say "but I can't survive for 5 rounds without it!" I think in early rounds, perks would actually be more useful. Since I typically survive the first 4-5 rounds with only the pistol anyway, I could just perk up and get loads of points to open doors and reach the box and such. I already voted weapons but on second thought it is pretty close tie with perks. -
Let me start off with an example. When the MotD trailer came out everyone saw the car door and the dolly, and said it was confirmed that the shield would return. My good friend Stop Mocking Me0 stood against the current and made it clear that until we see it for ourselves in-game, we can't call anything confirmed. Mocking was absolutely correct in doing so then. That idea has been around since the beginning: nothing is confirmed until everything is on the table. Chances are it never will be, so most theories, correct as they may be, are technically unconfirmed. Likewise you can't just state anything as fact. I'm especially bothered by you saying that the N4 are dead and the O4 will return. Like I said things are confirmed through gameplay. Since we haven't gotten any info on the map yet it's just as irrational to state that as a fact as it is to say so about fear teddy or the others. Even the title is pushing these parameters, as nothing is "straight" here. Each theory is equally flexible and each as potentially true as the next. That's the basic principle on which the site was made. Like bob said, that's the beauty of it. Sure constructive criticism is helpful, but literally saying "your theories are terrible" isn't constructive at all. I'm not going to lie; Nayrc hit the nail on the head. This is such an insanely skewed hypocritical complaint, I can already feel cancer taking hold in my brain for having read it. Almost all of my brain cells have diedagkxxmsbkkcxmiseckovfsztc

Letters from the Field - Photos & Videos from Pre-Origins
Electric Jesus replied to GRILL's topic in Origins
ok yes that's what I think as well. I assumed we were guessing the author of each letter. And as far as the author, based on the language chosen, I strongly disagree that Nikolai is the author. Unless I'm mistaken, Nikolai wasn't an alcoholic until he was tested on by richtofen. Before then we have no idea how he acted, as he is drunk for basically the entire time we've known him. For all we know it could be his handwriting / style. -
In the resurrection poster the zombie is posed in the same stance as the soldier on the cover, but doesn't actually have guns. Zombies can't use guns! What is this, MW3 survival mode? Apart from that, that is actually a pretty convincing fake. The killer of it is that if it was real we wouldn't be getting CotD. Also looking closely it's actually just a blurry picture of the vengeance poster soldier with blood edited over his mouth / glowing eyes.

What do you value the most
Electric Jesus replied to BriggzyJ97's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Lets put it this way. Let's say I bleed out in a co-op game on round 20. (Not that that would ever happen but work with me. ) at the start of round 21 I have 3000 points. I would immediately buy a wall gin then hit the box once. I could work with whatever guns i got until I get enough for jug. However it would be arduous to just buy high and have to M1911 my way to another gun each box hit at a time. Space is useful but generally I can work with what I have (though it depends on the map and exact room.) special grenades and such are useful but not a priority over more essential methods of survival. The winner? Weapons. I'd much rather scramble through a round with an MP5 and a Five-seven than with a colt, jug, and no points. -
Letters from the Field - Photos & Videos from Pre-Origins

That seems to be contradictory. They've done studies you know. 60% of the time, it works every time. 8-) If they did a prequel (like a real prequel, not just a map that is chronologically in the past) I wouldn't want them to blow an O4 appearance with it. It would be cool to see an older 935 facility and play as scientists, while further explaining their research and such, but showing the 04 as strapping young lads is a bit of a desecration of their image. Also if the map did take place in 1917 and feature the O4, they would likely be in their teens (give or take a few years.) we don't know their actual ages but we can at least assume that -30 years would take its toll on them. Imagine the children O4. Two words: Sober Nikolai. Not happening. Case closed. (he might have had a moment of clarity in CotD, but we promptly fixed that.) Edit: It hurts to think of all of the possible locations at which our characters could arrive, or their motives for doing so, when you consider teleportation and time travel. Guess what? I just thought of a new thing. The CoDz fan base catchphrase should be "start thinking with MTDs." -

Why does everyone assume it's takeo? I'm not necessarily sold on either of them being a known character yet. But I would really like for them to be. if so, we should expect another in a few hours, and maybe another after that. If they stop at 4, and I hear one mention of vodka, I will literally drop a massive load in the lederhosen. Honestly I want the O4, but I don't want a prequel map. Imagine everything we've come to adore about the O4, then turn back time so none of that has happened. None of the events and quotes that have shaped their personality exists, so they could be totally different people essentially. Also I want some PROGRESSION! Flashing back to explain stuff only carries us so far until the next game. Those who look only to the past, or the present, are certain to miss the future! -
I think their voices remaining the same is just to show players that they switched. Otherwise when you complete the egg you're like "why did their personalities go all out of whack and flopped?" This way it's obvious that they are actually in each other's bodies. Like in Harry potter when they take polyjuice potion they still have their own voices, just so viewers can tell them apart better. Like that.

Mob's Not Gonna Be Forgotten
Electric Jesus replied to EvilHERONeos's topic in General Zombies Discussion
While its heavily implied that Satan is in control in MotD it's very carefully never stated that that is who it is. For all intents and purposes it's totally satan, but for international / religious purposes (diverse beliefs amongst the players) they will never actually present the ultimate evil as satan they could simply call it the ultimate evil, but i feel there's a more treyarch-y available. If the omnipotent force in MotD returns in a big way it will likely be explained towards a more sci-fi route than a religious one. You know, the classic explanations, like Vril-ya and aliens and such. -
Gameplay-wise, it is a wonder weapon. About it being bland, I don't have anything to say as that is your opinion. lol am I seriously the only one who likes it? Technically it isn't a wonder weapon (no 115) and its not a bad weapon at all, but the other wonder weapons over shadow it so much. How about a single nondescript rectangular room about the size of one of the gardens in Nuketown. The only guns are the war machine and the china lake. All zombies that spawn are either from the ceiling or risers (crawl out of the ground.) no rounds, they just progressively get stronger and faster (and harder and better.) you play as Arnold Schwarzenegger and he only has one quote: "TERMINATED." Kill a zombie? Terminated. Low on ammo? Terminated. Drink a perk? TERMINATED. Of course that's hypothetical because there are no perks available for purchase. The Easter egg song is never gonna give you up by Rick astley, played on an infinite loop. It is activated by spawning in at the start of the game. Upon dying (which is nearly immediate) a ten minute, un-skippable cutscene begins depicting the brutal deaths of the original characters, including richtofen sodomizing Dempsey. The song that plays on a loop during the cutscene is Edward Richtofen seductively singing happy birthday with no instruments whatsoever. The map's big Easter egg involves finding and shooting 617 teddy beats located out of the map by randomly shooting at the walls, as there are no windows. Upon completing the Easter egg you get a modified PhD flopper, which lets you explode but doesn't protect you from self harm. Since there is only one flat surface it is useless.

I heard an idea that a map could take place in Paris, Der Riese, and some 3rd place (moon?). Each is linked by teleporters, and each would be in a unique timeframe (WaW, BOI, BOII.) each also has its own mystery box containing weapons from the respective game. I thought that was a clever way of implementing weapons from every game together, but not in one box. I hope they do something like that with weapons. Honestly if the O4 didn't return the fans would probably riot all the way to Santa Monica to burn down Jimmy Zielinski's house. It's been so built up it had to happen.

First look at possible new WW for MP4?
Electric Jesus replied to The Clay Bird's topic in Research & Development
Group 935 focused more on unconventional warfare, so I doubt this is just an ordinary gun if it was invented by maxis. However since the date looks like 193- (4th digit is covered) this could have been a pre-Die Glocke project. Hell, maybe it was the DG-1? since it just looks like an ordinary gun, why would they be showing us? Usually they tease extra-ordinary guns. Unless its more than meets the eye. -
Last we saw them, the O4 had a perfectly functioning teleporter available to them. A few modifications and tricks they learned from the doc, and they could send themselves anywhere, possibly even through time. Think about it. The MTD was capable of time travel because the DG-2 overloaded it with 115. Couldn't the wave gun or raygun achieve the same result on the teleporter on the moon, or in Area 51? Speaking of A51, they still have access to earth from the moon. They aren't stranded there. It's just a matter of where they choose to go from there.

Myth: without a barrier between you and the zombies you will likely be killed. Fact: I am the barrier between you and MY zombies. if you touch them, I WILL kill you. The best one I've heard is that you can buy a hellhound companion for 20k in no man's land. This actually had a lot of people convinced at one time. There were loads of videos on YouTube of people trying to get it. There is a 4th lander station on ascension, and accessing it gives you the wunderwaffe. Once you have all 7/8 perks on a map, getting a perk reward power-up gives you a new secret perk. (There's one for this on basically every map.) For the record, you CAN become invincible in Verrückt by hiding in the fountain, but it involves glitching out of the map. Someone asked me to help them do it, but it left me to fend for myself alone while he enjoyed invincibility. Screw that guy. That was the last time I helped anyone do a glitch. Nice thread by the way.

Fred Tatasciore is the voice actor of Nikolai, and Steven Blum is the voice actor for Dempsey. At 5:12 PM on the 18th of July Fred Tatasciore tweeted "what's up Dempsey?!" To which Steven Blum replied "Nikolai!!!!" https://twitter.com/fred_tatasciore/sta ... 2024999936 It's odd that they spoke to each other in character, especially in the suspense building up to DLC 4. We've got a word for that kinda odd in English. It's called "suspicious." Gentlemen.

I think buried is about on par with mob of the dead. However buried is less "deviant" than mob of the dead. A few core elements are changed in MOTD like a power switch, afterlife, quick revive, building the plane, etc. some people don't like that kind of change, so in general they would prefer buried because its more like the other BOII maps. I would put the 2 at about equal, but I think in general the community would identify buried as the better map.
-
No you are not mistaken... definitely group 935 I think I just crapped my pants a little. It's definitely not the Der Riese loading screen. However any connection to group 935 is a major step back towards the O4, and that is the outcome I am hoping for.

DLC 4 "mode" called Gateway? (FEAR TEDDY)
Electric Jesus replied to Electric Jesus's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Honestly this is a really insignificant Easter egg. It's not like if it turns out to spell out teddy, we'll be like "holy s$&@ are you serious? Who would have suspected that teddy bears hold significance and symbolism in the storyline? Wow, we totally haven't known this for 4 years!" It's just like "hey you know what would be cool?" No need to get all stanky. Besides 10 consecutive people saying "I'm not sold on the fear teddy thing" isn't contributing to discussion; it's being redundant. If I wanted to see how many people were of that opinion I would have added a poll. (Except I still don't know how. ) Honestly calling it idiotic is a bit excessive. Come on. I've been here long enough to know that nothing is confirmed inless you see it with your own eyes in-game. However treyarch have a reputation for slipping things like this In. I don't necessarily believe it, but 2 words come to mind. Why not? Like does it really matter if people speculate about this? Why not? You can't just say "your idea is bad and you should feel bad" unless you do the same for all ungrounded theories (which is a good 90%). I'm not personally defending myself. Honestly I could care less about the last letter of a map's name. but in general the community's reception of the fear teddy business has been shockingly harsh. -
Could the MP PaP Camo be DLC 4's As Well?
Electric Jesus replied to Flammenwerfer's topic in Research & Development
If this theory is correct, maybe in DLC 4 we re-visit WaW or BOI maps, which explains the style of the camo. However it is slightly altered do maybe we will literally be re-visiting a map, like going back to Der Riese as the O4 after buried chronologically. That explains why it looks a bit different. In tranzit the guns look more roughly PaP'd possibly due to the machine being built manually, or the missiles damaging the components on impact. For similar reasons the original pack a punch machine (in Der Riese) could yield PaP'd guns with distorted camos. -
Are they bitten? (Tranzit 4)
Electric Jesus replied to AlphaOmega's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Besides zombies don't even bite you. They aren't trying to eat you; Richtofen is just making them kill you. That's why they slap you into submission then leave. -

It's definitely not the Der Riese loading screen. The markings on the blueprint are different. However, I think you're right that it looks like a workbench blueprint. Why would a loading screen be blueprints? Is there a really significant buildable in the next map? I can't be sure. All I can say is I wanna build me a teleporter. Also all of the loading screens are in chronological order. Even of Der Riese was remade we wouldn't see it after buried, unless buried took place before Der Riese, which it doesn't. I'm really interested in seeing this loading screen in its entirety. I'll be sure to check back here when more ideas roll in.

DLC 4 "mode" called Gateway? (FEAR TEDDY)
Electric Jesus replied to Electric Jesus's topic in General Zombies Discussion
The map could be called Agartha but the mode name would be Gateway. Like how tranzit is the mode and green run is the map? If the map was Agartha most of it would take place in Agartha naturally, hence why it'd be called Agartha. However it's geographic location on earth could be the mode name (gateway) as its entrance is on earth but the map itself is not.
