  1. I would like to see an ending which has the Portal 2 mindset. Likewise, I don't want maxis or Samantha to die, and I especially don't want Richtofen to die, but it wouldn't be very treyarch-like for everyone to end up back In their own bodies happily ever after. They need to find the perfect middle ground.
  2. Agartha is becoming a really prominent idea for the 4th DLC, as it has been connected to the game for some time now, and maxis directly states in buried that he intends to enter Agartha. If Agartha were to be the map's location, the map likely wouldn't be solely in Agartha. Other areas would be accessible, such as the entrance (or gateway) to Agartha through which our characters enter it. It's possible the characters spawn outside of Agartha, but the majority of the map is in Agartha. Thus the map's "mode" name could gateway. Tranzit is to green run as gateway is to Agartha. This also fits in with the "fear teddy" anagram. The last letters of each of the map modes spell out teddy. TranziT Die RisE Mob of the deaD BurieD GatewaY
  3. I've spent so much time telling noobs not to pick up the nuke / max ammo / insta kill yet. This takes it to a new level. "Hey, don't pick that up until round 42!" But seriously, this is a glitch, and abusing it for infinitely available max Ammo is uncool.
  4. In general I don't like territorial zombies like denizens, but I think the ghost lady was very nicely done. But still, 2000 points? Ouch.
  5. The jet gun isn't even a real wonder weapon since it's just a bunch of random scraps thrown together, and doesn't have 115. Shunnnnn the jet gun... Shunnnnnnnn....
  6. I like Brutus because he is the middle ground between round-based bosses and mini bosses. He gives a power up each time and spawns sort of randomly, but certain events and actions trigger his appearance. My problem is that on rounds 1-10 (pre-jug) I'll be preparing to buy jug and he'll be like NOPE PWN'D BITCH. I don't like him as an atrial enemy for this reason. He runs like angry George and falcon punches you into submission with devastating force. A bit OP in my opinion. I would like a round based boss which is actually hard rather than just a free max ammo / perk. One that is fast but intense. Like a Brutus round where you face a dozen brutuses at once. That would be quick but intense. If there was a mid-round boss I'd like the Shangri-la approach. Either slow and strong or fast and weak. None if that OP Brutus crap. Bosses haven't been the same since ascension, For better or for worse. However I'd like to see that type of boss return.
  7. I immediately thought of the escape from vorkuta. Imagine the scene where mason jumps onto the train and looks back at reznov, but instead you see another train brimming with zombies. Too nice. I love how much detail you put into these, like Easter egg steps and such. I regret only that I have but one brain to give for Stop Mocking Me0. [brains]
  8. The One and lullaby are great, but they're more ambient and atmospheric. The other ones actually get you pumped. They are still some of my favorites though. 115 and BOA are awesome for mid-round intensity. Abra and Pareidolia are also atmospheric yet upbeat. Very good indeed. Coming home is awesome, and for winners. Too nice. Clark S. nova is pretty good but I just don't like his voice as much. The instrumentals in his songs are great though. Malukah's songs are also more ambient than the others, but I love the lyrics in "always running." Where are we going is too redundant. Rusty cage is meh. I don't like rap in general so sorry eminem, Bye Bye. I don't have a favorite but that's what I think.
  9. Richtofen (once his side is completed) can take over anyone at any time. If the N3 killed Samuel richtofen would just find a new host. I doubt the story will play off of that. I honestly think Maxis's side is the true side.
  10. Next to each of the three MTDs on Der Riese is a sign. One says "ENG" (England) one says "GER" (Germany) and one says "FRA" (France.) I think their purpose was to remotely deploy soldiers as part of their invasion / occupation. Imagine being able to send your soldiers directly behind enemy lines with no detection. Originally group 935 wasn't receiving funding from the SS, so that may not have been part of their initial purpose, but I think they did plan to use it as part of their invasion plans.
  11. How about a zombies epic, and 4 classic maps re-worked into grief maps as well as classic survival? I would so get with that.
  12. It's pretty clever, but I think survival maps are less popular in general because they don't feature character quotes or large areas or whatever.
  13. That's an interesting thought. But how long is the timeframe from MotD to Shangri-La? I don't know the exact date, because dates are often debated. However it's safe to assume that decades have passed. Naturally it wouldn't take decades for them to fly the plane 50 times. However I don't think he was referring to the cycle in that quote. Look at the intro cutscene. Sal's voice is doing a voice-over of what's happening during the escape. He isn't just yelling "AND NOW WEASEL KILLS THE GUARD" right in front of him; What sal is saying is actually the conversation they had before the escape (while they were planning.) so i think he's just saying he's walked them through the plan VERBALLY 50+ times, because he wants to be certain they'll do it correctly. I don't think he's aware of the cycle at that time. The firesale thing can be attributed to Sam refining her technique. Over time she out-grows her old toys and makes some new ones to play with. One of them is Firesale, which she didn't make until Kino.
  14. Didn't you read the part where MotD exists outside of time completely? Sure the gangsters actually lived in the 30s, but once they are in hell they are completely disconnected from all real time. Lucifer RIPPED them out of reality. However an event elsewhere on the timeline (possibly in Shangri-La) connected it to hell through the portal. MotD's original date is irrelevant.
  15. Plus what's more is that Brock and Gary are actually trapped in a cycle too. You can repeat the Eclipse Easter egg as many times as you want in a single game, and each time the adventurers have no memory of meeting you previously. They are unaware of their chronological prison, so they can't break free from it (unlike Arlington.) Shangri-la is looking a bit suspicious. Plus with Maxis talking about Agartha (spelling?) in Buried, and Brock + Gary's expedition, as well as the shared mountain theory, the O4 may be able to return to Shangri-La from Area 51 to enter Agartha.
  16. "From a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint, time is like a big bowl of wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey... Stuff." Hi all! It's good to be back on my feet. I come to you with my first theory in a while. Well here she is. ~Convergent Timelines~ (Keep in mind that when I say "the rift" I'm referring to a connection between MotD and the other timeline. It has nothing to do with the rift as mentioned in Buried.) Well, that's some of what we know as of now, or at least what we can infer. However, one possibility hasn't been tossed around before. What is this idea? Let's say Mob of the Dead exists outside of time. Once Alcatraz has been dragged through the rift, all of the events that transpire there are irrelevant and inconsequential to the events in the "real" timeline, which encompasses all other maps. In other words, the dimension of hell and our world are disconnected chronologically. The only bridge between them is the rift. The rift is not exactly like a bridge though. It is more of a bend, or a ripple, at which the two dimensions meet. In mathematical terms, the "real" timeline is a tangent. It touches he'll in exactly one spot: the rift. Furthermore, in order for a tangent to exist (still speaking mathematically) hell's timeline can't be a line. I believe in this case it is a circle, or a closed loop. This explains "the cycle" as well as the presence of a tangentially convergent sister timeline of sorts. Why might I be telling you this? As these objects are dragged through to hell, they are likely pulled from the same point in time: the point at which the hell portal joins hell and our world. I'm going to attempt to gather this information pinpoint exactly what point on the real timeline intersects with hell. ~Narrowing it Down~ First let's look at the more obvious evidence. Power-ups (such as insta-kill, fire sale, etc.) are not native to hell. As I said before, they are pulled through the rift from the real world. As the demonic voice that accompanies them is that of Samantha, we can gather that MotD's dimension intersects with ours at a point where Samantha is in control. So that narrows our timeframe down to some point between World at War and pre-big bang theory. However, as the power-up "fire sale" is only present in Black ops 1 in that timeframe, we can conclude that the point of convergence is located chronologically somewhere from Kino der Toten to Moon. Let's look at another toy the omnipotent being summoned: perks. All of the perks that belong in another time or dimension are visually distorted. Electric Cherry is the exception, as it actually belongs in Alcatraz. However, let's take a look at one perk in specific. Deadshot Daiquiri has only been featured in three maps that are already in our possible threshold. We can then deduce that the point of convergence is somewhere from Call of the Dead to Moon. Weapons are generally considered non-canon. That is, until the rift was presented. At that point, almost any anachronism (time-related error) could be blamed on the rift. Consequently the presence of future guns as well as past guns in MotD can be attributed to the rift. Perhaps it isn't, and weapons are simply non-canon. Regardless, the presence if certain weapons in MotD is irrelevant to this theory as they can't be used to specify any timeframe. Yet another detail exists to narrow down our timeframe. While using the ray gun, the weasel says "Nikolai, Nikolai, Nikolai! Why do I keep hearing that name?" It seems the name Nikolai is being spoken repeatedly, and it is drifting from our world through the portal, where it is heard by the weasel. One thing we must ask is why he alone remarks on it? Can only he hear it? This is likely because he alone is aware of the cycle, and the fact that they are no longer in the real world. His awareness of this fact enhances his perception of "glitches in the matrix" if you will. (Errors that indicate that they are "elsewhere.") We can't be certain of why only the weasel can hear it, but we can assume that apart from perks and power ups, someone's voice is carrying over from the real world, and it's saying Nikolai. Note that the weasel specifically says "... I keep hearing that name." Signifying that he hears it repeatedly. For the point of convergence to exist at a time where nikolai's name is mentioned repeatedly on the real Timeline, it would have to be at a point when the actual map is occurring! That is why weasel can hear character quotes and there are power-ups (which are only found on actual maps.) you could say that the events described in a radio are reaching him, but only in-game is Nikolai's name repeated. I can't even recall a specific radio that mentions Nikolai's name. It is possible that So we have 3 possible points of convergence: Call of the Dead, Shangri-la, and Moon. We know it can't be in the transition between CotD and Shangri-la, because we know exactly how they get there. (Through the teleporter, with our help.) Here's where I'm going to need a little help, CoDz. I can't pinpoint an exact single point with the evidence I am currently aware of. If anybody can help me further narrow the timeframe that would be great. If you have another idea, or think I'm completely wrong, please share! This is a work-in-progress, and I'm open to constructive criticism. I'm going to throw in some diagrams and stuff eventually too. Ain't that swell? Also I put this thread here rather than in the MotD section because it encompasses other maps as well.
  17. I want you to be gone But I know you've just begun This is why she'll say contradictory lines. She'll say things like "This is my house". She doesn't want you there. But at the same time, she'll say "You'll stay here forever" simple because she knows you will. Even if you die, you will still be there, undead. This line is a reference to Abracadavre. In Abracadavre (which is from sam's perspective) she says (you want me to be gone, but I have just begun." Since she is referring to herself (an aetherial being) it makes sense that in that corresponding line in "always running" Sarah is directly addressing the aetherial beings of that time (Richthofen and Maxis.)
  18. The same could be said about people who could get 300 kills with one shot of the sliquifier. It's not necessarily unfair, but it is undeniably a bit... I don't know, excessive? They patched the sliquifier for similar reasons. I don't see why they won't for this as well.
  19. Something that isn't expressly named can be named freely. However, since we call the Die Rise critters "Jumping Jacks" based on developer commentary, and that name isn't actually mentioned in-game, we should follow the same guidelines here. If the guy really was referred to as "Sloth" by developers, then i think that's the best name we have for him. I know people who call him Leroy because he Rushes and attacks sporadically, just like... LEEROOOOOOOY JEEEEEENKIIIINS
  20. Just saying. You're welcome Jimmy.
  21. MrDalekJD said the map takes place in Africa. He didn't quote a source so it's unconfirmed. However MMX tells us that there is indeed a meteor containing 115 located in central africa, according to coordinates found in-game. It would make sense if zombies were in africa, but why would an old replica western town be there?
  22. Since (allegedly) only one person can have it per team, it is likely accompanying the classic raygun, rayher than replacing it. And that's awesome.
  23. You're right; dropping a beat is a musical term. My initial thought was that it would be a Bass-Frequency wonder weapon which shakes the ground and kills zombies, kinda like Tesla's earthquake device or like a dubstep gun. However it says "...10 zombies in one game." usually wonder-weapon related achievements say "in one shot." since it is easy to get THOUSANDS of WW kills in a game, this most likely refers to something more exclusive or difficult to acquire than a weapon. ...but still. Dubstep Guns. Do want. hDlif8Km4S4
