  1. If it really is hell (which is just as possible as any theory) the rift could have been opened by Lucifer to drag perks and zombies through to him. This gave him the zombies (his instrument if torture) and the perks. The perks give the mobsters just enough to get trapped in the cycle successfully. Similarly to richtofen sending power-ups they are just to give them a fighting chance. false sense of hope. But that doesn't account for the possible O4 presence in MotD. Maybe Lucifer accidentally dragged a bit more through the rift than he intended?
  2. I totally agree with you, but I don't like the way you personify the zombies. I don't think the zombies "decided" to break free and then consciously choose to target the Mobsters. I think it's more likely that the rift simply caused richtofen to lose control over a bunch of zombies (the zombies present in MotD.) these zombies went out of control after being dragged through the rift. I doubt the zombies "decided" to bring perks with them. They just got pulled in along with them. Also someone mentioned that the other end of the wormhole / rift is on call of the dead because of deadshot and the O4 quotes. However one of the quotes allegedly heard on MotD is a richtofen quote which is heard upon getting kills with a grenade. This would mean that it would likely be converging with a map that featured richtofen as playable as well as deadshot. So that would mean shangri-la or Moon.
  3. Yeah what he thinks is a radio that he hears there is probably just this voice you say is tank's. If you can record it that would be great. If anyone else can try and trigger the voice in that area and record it that would be great. I would but you know, PS3 I'm interested In the 1 person here who mentioned soneone hearing richtofen. The quote that person described reminds me of "watch them all explode so beautifully!" which is am actual existing quote from richtofen on Kino I think. It is triggered by explosives. If we can confirm the stank quote and find out what quote it is, we could find a pattern. I should also mention that if the timeline is mixed up, like, literally mixed up, the following is not necessarily true: If the rift in the 30s is forcing that time to converge with a single point on the timeline, it would have to be from either shangri-la or moon, Since the O4 and deadshot are being tossed through the rift. But here's my crazy idea. The rift formed in MotD is tangential to Moon. Richtofen wants to mend the rift becase it could allow the mobsters to go through it and reach the Moon and help prevent richtofen from gaining power. The point at which the rift intersects the timeline during the events of Moon would have to be before the completion of the easter egg due to richtofen's non-aetherial voice. So the rift accidentally drags stuff from moon through to Alcatraz. However richtofen wants to mend it because he is frightened about what might come back through on his end.
  4. I think I'll change this thread's title, since we're now considering possible appearances from Tank and the Doc, and the possible meanings behind them. My little thread is all grown up! Fight club was the beginning. Now it's moved out of the basement. It's called Project Mayhem.
  5. Ah, that's actually a great idea! It could relate to the thread I made about the O4's involvement in MotD. Maybe they are sending the MotD crew stuff to help them? If this were true, the only reason they would want to do that is if mending the rift somehow benefits the O4. We know richtofen wants to mend the rift, but why would the O4 want this too? Hmm. My brain hurts. Curse you, MotD!
  6. I think this is a great thread and I agree with what OP says. I don't think you mentioned the fact that the Pack-A-Punch machine and Perks didn't exist at this time (1930s), which explains why they flicker. They don't actually exist in Alcatraz; they are just partially warped there through the rift. Also you shouldn't say "EXPLAINED" or "proof" if it's just speculative. You could say "my explanation" or something like that, and the "proof" is just evidence. Not to sound like a picky jerk but you don't want someone coming here expecting 100% solid confirmed info and finding a theory. (I think it's right BTW, but still.)
  7. My first impress that the Nikolai he referred to was our favorite drink Russian wife-killer, but it's nice to see someone thinking outside the box! Don't doubt yourself so much! If someone like MC Escher can be a significant figure to zombies, I don't see why not. Also there is "The Power of the Coming People" which provides evidence towards the Vril-Ya, so a book could very easily hold clues. Also one thing to mention is that in Syndicate's first mob of the dead gameplay of his very first game of MotD, he runs past the Uzi then turns and opens fire on some zombies. The sound of gunfire drowns out the actual quote, but synildicate says something like "What's that? Did I hit a radio?" because a human voice apart from the character's is clearly heard. This is the same voice that people claim belongs to Dempsey. I can't confirm that it's Tank's voice, but I can confirm that there is a voice there for sure. I don't know about the alleged richtofen quote someone mentioned. We should look into these both, and keep our ears open for the missing warrior Takeo! which Uzi was he shooting around? there's 3 lol Sorry I've never actually played the map. I assumed there was just one. It's near-ish Deadshot, and a dog head is on the wall near it, and umm... There is, like, a bathtub, and... Umm I don't really know how to describe its location. I'm pretty sure it's in this part of the series. http://youtube.com/watch?v=1oWgRb_A5Q8 Skip to about 6:50. It's a little bit before he gets the Max Ammo.
  8. The RICHTOFEN laugh??? Hell, I haven't even played it and this map has already blown my mind to pieces! Also I love the fact that it's an impossibly powerful dining utensil. but I can't help but think that it's a teeny tiny bit... Ridiculously OP. just saying. Infinite melee insta-kill? So OP. but I guess the fact that it's for melee only is what balances it out. Plus you don't just have to buy it (however obscenely expensive it would be) but you need to perform a lot of tasks to get it, including getting the Hell's retriever. So overall I think it's a pretty cool item, though a bit OP.
  9. Ok. From what I understand (having never actually used it)... You get the BlunderGat from the box. You then build an "acid gat kit" on a work bench and insert the gun like a makeshift Pack-a-punch machine. This turns it into the AcidGat. Then you pack a punch the AcidGat to become the Vitrolic Withering. (spelling?) What I don't quite get though is that it is possible to PaP it before applying the Acid Kit. What does it become if you upgrade it without the Acidic addition?

  11. Umm you could change the colors for Deadshot and Muke Kick. I couldn't even read which perks they were at first. it doesn't really affect me but for the newcomers it's important. Also great job! This obviously had a lot of effort put into it! Take some imaginary brains! Too bad I have a thread for this already HERE.
  12. Does anyone know how long it takes for the VW's flechettes to detonate? Like, roughly how many seconds? Also does the detonation time change from acidgat to VW? And when it hasn't been upgraded at all, how effective is it?
  13. Does nobody remember my old theory about the O4 utilizing Moon's technology to contact the new crew like maxis does? I assumed if it was true it would be a major Easter egg. However if these reports above are true, it could still be correct, but implied more subtly. One thing is that if richtofen's voice is being heard in its original non-aetherial state, that would mean the MotD dimension is converging with the real world at a point on the timeline before richtofen came into power. Or maybe the rift is just so messed up it mixes the timeline up completely. "from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint, time is like a big bowl of wibbly wobbly timey wimey... Stuff."
  14. (sorry if the OP seems incomplete. I changed the thread title to encompass all of the ensuing conversation, not just the OP.) I heard a member on this site (can't remember who. Declare yourself!) claiming to have heard a character in mob of the dead mention Nikolai. This made no sense, so I did a little digging, and found this clip. rbeOlHSVJKE The character in MotD (not sure which) clearly says the phrase... "Nikolai, Nikolai, Nikolai, Nikolai! Why do I keep hearing that name?" I don't even know where to begin with this. Does he mean he is hearing it in his head? I'm not sure.
  15. For the record... There are 4 bases in DNA. Adenine, Guanine, Thymine, and Cytosine. DNA has a double helix form, so they are two strands intertwined. Each strand is made of a chain of these bases. However there is a "key" which the bases on opposite strands follow. Adenine and Thymine are always opposite eachother. Guanine and Cytosine are always opposite eachother. Messenger RNA is used to replicate strands of DNA. RNA though Is not a double helix but a single strand. It matches these base pairs up to the DNA following the key above. However, RNA doesn't use Thymine. Instead it uses Uracil. For instance, if a short DNA strand is made of the bases AATCG (random example) the strand opposite it on the helix would be TTAGC. If RNA were to copy the original strand, RNA would match it with the opposites, but replacing Thymine with Uracil. So the translation from the DNA code AATCG to RNA would be UUAGC. I probably just confused you all more, so sorry. Edit: utilizing the information I provided above, let's try decoding that sequence in Kevin's video! Translating the capital letters into the corresponding base pairs gives us... ACTACGGA In RNA form it is very similar... ACUACGGA all lowercase letters in DNA form gives us... at c gg gtc tt ggt gc taa ct ctt gt tgg In RNA form that's... au c gg guc uu ggu gc uaa cu cuu gu ugg Both upper and lower case letters in translated into DNA form would be... ata cct gga gtc tct ggt gcc taa ctg ctt agt tgg In RNA form that's... aua ccu gga guc ucu ggu gcc uaa cug cuu agu ugg I don't know what other possible codes could exist here as far as a key goes. This Is the only "natural" key available as far as I see. If anyone can make anything out of that, that sure would be helpful.
  16. So what you're saying all black people look alike?!? WHAT A RACIST! lmao jk 8-) How do you know the jump scare face is black? Are you saying all black people have scary demon faces? WHAT A RACIST! XD Guys. This is a LOT of evidence towards Russ being evil. We can't be sure of course, but we could be on the verge of a breakthrough, and a major plot twist!
  17. Ok, so apart from grief and turned (mini-games) no game of zombies has ever been "won." that is a major gameplay mechanic. The fact that you can't win is what drives you to play again and again. They would never change this major aspect of the game in a mainline zombies map. (excluding mini-games I mean.) just sayin'. Also TBH cod wiki is good for some set-in-stone facts. If you want to know a perk price or a gun's magazine capacity, no problem. But if you want speculative info? No way josé! There is a better source for that kind of info HERE. I really doubt that al created the zombies. There doesn't seem to be anything concrete to support this, so I say fake. And guys. Play nice.
  18. Sorry but that thread had a really vague name. I immediately assumed it meant something about the controller in the aether. Maybe moderators can merge the threads?
  19. Firstly this is freaking awesome, and Treyarch are amazing. Words cannot express how awesomesauce it is that they added a classic jumpscare into the game. Anyway, take a look at the Die Rise Cutscene. Pause at the part where Russ gets a close-up, when he says "wait until you're in a Z-free zone!" http://youtube.com/watch?v=rMnmcYVmD5c (Skip to 1:07.) Is it just me, or does this creepy face totally look like Russman?
  20. Honestly I don't know why people are complaining about the lack of jug. Not to sound narcissistic, but I win at least 9/10 games of grief easily. once I get jug it's basically game over for the other team. All I need is an MP5 and jug and they are freaking DONE. Anyway, jug will keep us on our toes. The addition of loads of other perks and guns balances this increased need for legitimate skill. Also grief is a mini game of sorts, like turned. I think this is to shorten games to around the length of turned, for instance.
  21. Look at the shangri-la loading screen at the top left. There are two visible tears. One large one on the page that holds the SL and CotD images, and a small rip on the page that shares the Ascension and CotD images. So we can see two pages through the tips. But what about on the ascension screen? On the top right we would see straight through to Shangri-La's screen because of the two rips. So I think (like we've seen before) we'll be seeing through two separate rips in the corner to what is likely the 3rd DLC loading screen. Once we see THAT loading screen We will likely be able to see the MotD loading screen tear from that perspective on the LEFT page. Kinda confusing. Sorry. :?
  22. The bus driver could just lock the doors and drive away. Assuming you mean alternate zombie types like bosses I would have to actually put my money on... Well George, but apparently he doesn't count, so... Probably Jumping Jacks or Ascension Monkeys. The Jacks are just awesome like that. No explanation necessary. The monkeys are actually intelligent though. They can counter your frags, claymores, and gersch devices without being harmed themselves. So we can probably assume that they are the most intelligent by conventional standards. Mix that with large numbers and their shockwave power, and remove their desire to bang on our perk machines, and put them in a battle Royale fight, and you've got a formidable foe coming straight for the enemy. I'd put my money on them. But this begs the question: how many of each participate? If it was just one of each it wouldn't be much of each. If for instance the amount of that enemy that appear on their respective boss rounds participate in the fight it would be more balanced. Oh yeah, and the pentagon thief. That guy.
  23. When they say they've been through it I think they just mean they've talked through the plan repeatedly in order to ensure that they carry it out flawlessly upon the actual execution. Like they've practiced it 50 times.
  24. Hey guys. I thought it was pointless to make a thread elsewhere just to ask this simple question. So here I amZ Anyway, what is the value of the last man standing bonus in Turned? Like how many bonus points do you get? I always am winning, but lose at the last second because the enemy gets this bonus. Then Richtofen's like "YOU SUCK" and I'm like "I FREAKING WON, COME ON!"
  25. I always thought "execute the escape plan" was a pun. Execute means to carry out, or to be killed in a systematic fashion. So by carrying our this "escape" plan we carry out a sequence of events which ultimately results in our own demise. Nice job with the info! Edit: maybe the fact that it is systematic (like I said above) is somehow relevant to this mysterious cycke we've heard about? Like a cycle of death and resurrection. Just thought I'd mention that since it seems relevant.
