  1. What I do is just back into a corner and put a trample steam downs few feet in front of me. Jumping Jacks always come to land right in front of you when they attack so they will always land directly on the trample steam. The only time it won't kill them is if 2 land on it at the same time. In that case only one will die. However it should be easy to galva-knuckle them or stab them with a Bowie knife. You can use the insta claymore technique effectively here if you like, but I find it unnecessary in most cases.
  2. Which map was supposed to be on Mars? There are loads of theories about how Shangri-La is on mars. Also jimmy Z very recently made some twitter posts hinting at it. So it is widely beleived that Shangri-La may be on mars. Some evidence is that on the moon loading screen you see a temple in space. Also during shangri-la's eclipse mode you can see all the celestial bodies you would see from mars such as its moons. Plus the mountain on the map (which started the theory when treyarch tweeted about it) which can be seen on the bridge seems out of place. It is red ands rocky with no wildlife. It resembles a certain canyon on mars too. The idea is that the map is inside some invisible biodome on mars. So yeah. With all the in-game evidence and hints from treyarch it is beleived that the map is in fact on mars. Check it out here. http://callofdutyzombies.com/forum/view ... hp?t=22842
  3. Richtofen has always talked about gruesome medical procedures and such, but he never mentioned spleens until Kino Der Toten.
  4. I was actually about to make a long post answering but you beat me to it! ^^^ I'm glad to see someone else participating! Edit: I'm counting on you guys to help out when I'm offline! Although to be honest it's rare to find me offline.
  5. He could be referring to the external angles of a triangle. The external angles of any polygon, regardless of its number of sides, add up to 360 degrees. that way if it was a trichotomous obtuse triangle with 2 acute angles and 1 obtuse angle the external angles, whose measures are supplementary to their corresponding interior angles, would then be obtuse, acute, and obtuse. See? 2 obtuse angles in one triangle!
  6. Once the power is activated on Call of the Dead, the lighthouse will be lit up every few minutes it will begin spinning in circles very fast pointing all over the map, until it finally settles on a certain spot. Then just look up into the sky and follow the yellow beam of light to find it, like the mystery box. And no, the O4 were introduced in Shi No Numa. In Verrückt there were 4 anonymous marines. However in the black ops version of Nacht Der Untoten and Verrückt the O4 were added with quotes taken from Shi No Numa and Der Riese.
  7. Welcome to the Pro-Tip Thread! Here you can ask for whatever advice you wish, and our brilliant minds will bestow unto you your exact request, no matter how absurd or obscure! Ladies, Gentlemen, and All-Powerful Omnipotent beings, there comes a time in all of our lives where we need a pro-tip. I'm sure we could all burrow way down into the depths of the various sub-forums, searching meticulously through every thread. Then, if we're lucky, we just might find that one precious hyper-specific scrap of information we do desperately desire. Well, I'm here to end that. I would like to take this time to bring us together as a community, united in the pursuit of random little bits of far-fetched facts and trivial tricks. What I offer you here is the gateway... To eternity. Welcome to EJ's Pro-Tips. Here's how it works. If you ever need advice on everyone's favorite zombie-slaying mode of awesomeness, all you have to do is ask. You can ask for anything as straight-forward as "what are the locations of the 3 teddy bears on Moon?" to something more in-depth like "what is a good point starting strategy for die rise?" or "what is a good map for beginners to practice trains?" or something simple like "what are all of the effects of Deadshot Daiquiri?" the possibilities are endless. Like I said before, we ALL need a little pro-tip now and again. Once you ask, myself, accompanied by any of you "good-deed do-ers" out there, will collaborate in the open chat to determine the best possible answer. Now again in English. Ask whatever you want and we'll answer it. Every time an answer is given I will add it to the OP to form an awesome collaboration of knowledge, forged in hell-fire, by the most gifted minds of a generation. I am going to be dividing this thread into several main sections. Those sections are... General Gameplay Pro-Tips This is where general advice which covers several categories will go. Feature-Specific Pro-Tips This will hold Pro-Tips for specific features such as weapons, traps, perks, etc. Well I've never done this, but I know that if you pick up a normal death machine drop (not from George) while already holding a death machine, it just restarts the 30 second timer for using the power up. So I don't see why this would work. I'm going to have to say that this is false. Also if you are holding the DG-2 and pick up a normal death machine you lose the DG-2, so watch out. Strategy-Specific Pro-Tips This is for Pro-Tips related to actual gameplay strategies. Storyline / Easter Egg Pro-Tips This section is for Pro-Tips about the general storyline and Easter Egg Steps. I hope to see this thread get filled up soon! Advice would be greatly appreciated, such as ideas for new categories. Hope this thread will be of some help to newer members looking for some help! -EJ
  8. I love the ideas, but I feel like there might be a simpler / more realistic way to implement them than attaching it to your arm. They'd need all new animations and everything. Most perks don't have any logical explanation; they just do random magical stuff. Like PhD flopper for instance. They never say that a chemical reaction causes discharges of energy in response to large amounts of force / friction. No. With no explanation whatsoever you dive and blow up. Why would we need something logical like an arm brace? Couldn't it just DO STUFF? Just saying.
  9. Am I the only one who remember barebones? I don't think it's in BOII though is it? It allowed you to play a straight-up game with only a primary gun. No equipment, perks, killstreaks, attachments, or secondaries. That seems like a good mode for OP.
  10. I'm looking forward to seeing what new genres they use. If they reuse country again I'm honestly going to be disappointed by their lack of creativity. Also I doubt they'll ever do metal or anything in that range, because it would kill the originality and novelty of the Easter egg songs. They could still do some stuff like... Choir music Soul ©rap Or they could reuse one of the less used genres like deadshot or PhD.
  11. We don't need no extra runnin' We don't need no speed control No twist o' lemon, in the battlefield Stamin leave us slayers alone HEY STAMIN LEAVE US SLAYERS ALONE All day long you're just a- nother perk on the shelf
  12. These are called both jingles and songs... Rap is neither of those things. LOL'd so hard MMX. I wouldn't mind a rap song jingle WHATEVER; it would be kinda funny and mix it up from the usual jazzy / country music which is dominant. It would have to be fitting to the beverage though. For example instead of a bottle the machine gives you a big pitcher of Kool-Aid?
  13. Well the reason I said it should take up a weapon slot is that it's really powerful. The jet gun could be carried alongside 2 normal weapons, while the sliquifier, a much more powerful weapon, took up a slot. Of course this might have been because mule kick was in die rise, but it will likely be in the next map as well so we may encounter the issue of people loading up with the ultimate bull S$&@ loadout: Chainsaw, raygun, wonderweapon, and M&S. Seriously, four weapons? I say either it takes up a gun slot, or it takes up a equipment slot only if there is no mule kick. Also there is the issue of concerned parents not wanting their kids to play a blood-splattering gory chainsaw massacre game. But hey, if they are too young to play the game the parents shouldn't bitch at the developers, they should just stop being bad parents and buying their kids games outside their age range. I say BRING ON THE CHUNKS!
  14. Yeah the thing is that it's NOT my idea. People have been fantasizing about this for ages. It's as much yours as mine. I actually didn't know that about the zombie shield, but bearing that in mind I can totally see this happening! and you're right, it does need a little revive something extra to be a worthwhile weapon, otherwise ballistics would still be better, and it would just fall to the backs of our minds like the china lake and war machine. well, so far buildables weapons have all been really powerful, so you never know.
  15. You're right it doesn't sound OP, but to me it seems a bit over-complicated. My idea was that you hold it out in front of you in one position, and holding down the trigger just makes the blade spin. Then you just move yourself around to actually make contact with the zombies. If there were an entirely new control scheme rather than just the classic "hold down this button and it does stuff" it would just be too complicated. Plus usually the best solution is the easiest one. I know all too well how easy it is to have a good idea then add stuff to it until it breaks the core idea. Some other things I forgot to mention in the OP... It would definitely take up a weapon slot. It gets transferred to the mystery box after you lose it like the sliquifier. It can cut them in half to make crawlers, or just chop arms off.
  16. Yeah I didn't mean like you have to mash the button the entire time, just when you reload from empty. Well like I said it seems like buildables present an opportunity to incorporate them effectively. So even if they haven't put it in the game yet, it doesn't mean they are never going to.
  17. Edit: I used to make map and wonder weapon ideas all the time! Not out of speculation, but for fun! I haven't made this type of thread in a while, but now that it's done and I see how fun it is, I expect I'll be doing it more often from here on out. AHHH, ze chainsaw. A weapon which has been idolized as the ultimate defense in the slaughter of countless undead. Many have dreamed of it. Few have voiced their desire. Ladies, gentlemen, and all-powerful omnipotent beings alike, could our greatest dream be within our grasp? Now, in real life a chainsaw isn't as effective as one might think, since it's need for gasoline defeats the purpose of the 3rd fundamental zombie-slaying law: blades don't need reloading. However, in a world where ammo appears for free in floating green spinny containers, I see no reason why this wouldn't be a glorious addition to the game we know and love. The introduction of buildables creates a perfect opportunity for the chainsaw to be incorporated. But think of it this way. It is nearly impossible for our crew to be able to build such a complex machine. You could argue that about the other buildables, but most of those have an "original" design, whereas a chainsaw has a set in stone design. What I mean is that it doesn't make sense to build a chainsaw from scrap parts. My idea is that the chainsaw itself is already on the building table opened up, and we must search for various parts and components to make a pre-existing chainsaw work again, rather than build one from scratch. Anyway, essentially this is a really powerful, fully-automatic melee weapon. Imagine your regular knife, slashing fifteen times per second, able to hit multiple zombies at a time! Now this might seem OP, but it has a slew of limitations. Firstly is its ammo / reload. My idea is that you have reserve gas tanks which you lock into the bottom like a magazine. Then you have to pull the cord repeatedly to reload. As you can imagine, it has quite a long reload. Also there would likely be only a few reserve tanks and only a certain amount of continuous running time per tank. For example, each tank has ammo like the black ops flamethrower attachment, with up to 30 seconds of continuous firing per tank. Here is another Idea I have. I personally prefer wonderweapons like the sliquifier and the 31-79 JG Fractalizer. (ain't nobody for time fo dat.) they require actual work on the player's part, rather than just pressing a button and BAM! They're all dead immediately. People also like interactive features. since I sure do love killing 2 birds with one stone, how about upon reloading and pulling the cord, You are prompted to tap X / square repeatedly. This way you can use your own 1337 trigger finger skills to compensate for the slow reload. Like I said this requires actual effort rather than it just doing the work for you. The second is mobility and range. As this is a melee weapon you can only reach zombie's directly in front of you. That increases the possibility of you getting hit while using it. also contrary to our old friend the ballistic knife, realistically this weighs as much as a heavy assault rifle or a light machine gun. You won't be able to dance around slashing like a little fairy princess with this bad boy. Oh yeah, and there's Also the fact that you have to build it. So yeah, those are my ideas for how to incorporate a chainsaw and make it balanced. Note that no buildables so far has been compatible with Pack-A-Punch, so it is unlikely that we will ever be able to upgrade a chainsaw, but a Russian can dream, can't he? Like any professional, I accept that my opinion and ideas are not the only ones, nor are they likely the best. So I ask of you all, from professional to professional... WHADDAYA THINK?! GOT ANY IDEERS?!
  18. Honestly I think it was good that they nerfed the HAMR. Not so much the MTAR, but whatever. With the HAMR, you have 125 shots per magazine, and these are pretty powerful shots mind you. Add double-tap and pack a punch and you've got almost 1000 bullets, all of which are capable of 1/2-hit killing zombies maybe even into the high 20s / low 30s. OP much? Adding significant recoil on a weapon that was easily the most powerful bullet-based weapon and which required no skill whatsoever to employ effectively is a great idea. Now you have to actually make your shots count rather than counting on the weapon itself to do the work for you. actually taking the time to go for a short concentrated burst to the head requires at least some skill. Forcing players to do this in turn improves their aim and skill. PSHHHH. And I'm sure you've all complained about spraying and praying at least once.
  19. Ok this is a really general idea, but an idea nonetheless that occurred to me as highly possible. Treyarch are definitely receiving a lot of pressure from fans to bring back the original four. Another thing that might be providing some kind of pressure from fans is the redundancy of the Easter eggs in black ops 2 so far. We can assume that there are 3 towers to power up. (trichotomous obtuse scalene anyone?) and so far Easter-egg-wise that is all we've been doing. Do we REALLY want to do the same old easter egg on the next map too? I sure don't. And here is my modest proposal. I say let's kill 2 birds with 1 stone. Firstly, this idea revolves around the idea of the next map featuring the original four. It's actual location is irrelevant. Anyway, my idea in short is that we perform an Easter egg like the call of the dead crew. By influencing the new crew indirectly (perhaps by radio signals or some other means of communication) our adventures as the original four will imply that the third tower is being powered up by the new crew, while the actual Easter egg is us contacting them and helping them out, like in call of the dead's "original characters trapped." Like I said, this idea is very general. I'm not taking into account the possible location of the original four or the future location of the new four. All I'm saying is that it would be a good way to spice up the next DLC. Note: if we were to return to moon and carry on as the O4 from there, it would be a perfect opportunity for a Rezzurection 2.0 pack, bringing back other classics. Thoughts?
  20. I actually started thinking on this idea (not quite as in-depth, mind you) when I saw a YouTube comment that said something like "PLZ MAKE A REZZURECTION 2.0!" So yeah, I would totally enjoy this! Also you didn't mention black ops maps, but I can imagine some good coming from there!
  21. Umm we've been to Europe several times... Nacht Verrückt and Der Riese were in Europe. So you're telling me a map on the water wouldn't make sense since they should send us to all the continents first? Like how they sent us to the moon and possibly mars all the way back in black ops? Come on dude. This isn't really any legitimate evidence against the idea. I'm still not entirely convinced we'll be going to Atlantis anyway but this certainly doesn't make me any more suspicious that it's false.
  22. Retaliation? I mean Revolution. Retaliation...Revolution...Retribution...whatever its called. Hahaha. Reconnaissance? Renaissance? Rockefeller? Rumpelstiltskin? This probably means some new Info is going to drop soon! I feel like I haven't played nearly enough die rise yet, but I'm still looking forward to the next map ASAP.
  23. Deadshot Daiquiri. It's just so awesome. Also it reminds me of how I feel when listening to kids whining about hit markers over the mic in multiplayer. SO QUIT COMPLAINING ABOUT YOUR BAD AIMING JUST TRY, TRY AGAIN FOR ME WITH THE HEADSHOT POWER OF DEADSHOT DAIQUIRI!
  24. That just over-complicates things. If it were just a customizable wonder weapon that would be ok I guess but being allowed to mix and match whatever you want destroys the core aspect of weapons in zombies. Not that a full-auto grenade launching weapon wouldn't be freakin' awesome.
