This. I mean when it comes to 3arc you can tell they actually connect to the community (through this site for example.) they actually ASK US about problems and patch them. Meanwhile many controllers are being thrown through windows in IW land, where massive recurring problems are going unaddressed since at least mw2, such as noob tubing, one man army, final stand, and so on. Treyarch has actually put a stop to all of these pretty much completely. not to mention endgame killstreaks and constantly nerfing guns until you might as well literally be using nerf guns. And chopper, I admire your change of heart. I knew you'd come 'round.

They are MIA. Nothing confirms or refutes the fact that they might be alive, nor that they might be dead. Nothing says for certain that they are dead, nor that they are alive. We just don't know. ... For now.

POTATO LEVEL = POTATED This is gonna be great. Also I forgot to mention that achievement analyses are my favorite theories on this site. Ever. So yeah. If I urged people towards it early on (as futile as it may have been) that's why. Peace to all. Happy slaying. -EJ

A Russian can dream, can't he? Well technically dragons don't exist, but as for robot dragons I can't say. So much yes.

Could Clark S. Nova Return for the Song?
Electric Jesus replied to Flammenwerfer's topic in Die Rise
That's strange. I've never heard that version before. According to the Internet Europeans know it by "a tissue a tissue" and the American version is "ashes ashes". So yeah, treyarch (based in California) are probably referring to the American version. -
I'd just like to point this out quickly. I'm going to be putting this a simply as possible. Look at the achievement picture for the achievement "high-maintenance." one half of one building appears to be sandwiched sideways between it and another building. https://twitter.com/MrJon92/status/2959 ... to/1/large Perhaps this (or a variant where the broken-off part is completely upside-down, and wedged between 2 skyscrapers) will be the exact way the map is laid out in the game. This explains how some areas could be upside down while others are the correct way in different areas of the same building . Just thought I'd point this out, to help y'all wrap your heads around the inception-style impossible architecture once you actually enter the map.

Could Clark S. Nova Return for the Song?
Electric Jesus replied to Flammenwerfer's topic in Die Rise
Can I seriously be the only one to make this connection? "Ashes, Ashes!" is a reference to the children's song "ring around the Rosie" which is a a metaphor for the Black Death, which was a plague that struck medieval Europe. It goes... Ring around the Rosie Pocket full of posies Ashes ashes We all fall down. It seems like it might be along the lines of the falsely sweet / subtly sinister atmosphere that used to be Elena's style. Though it can be assumed Nova is returning, we mustn't rule out the possibility of a duet. And as you know, Elena only appears where the O4 appear. So keep your ears open! WIDE OPEN!! -
I'd hate to break it to you, but zombies barely posess the brain power to be able to carry out basic motor skills. Piloting a helicopter? No way.

That was my original theory which I linked in the post I made before. viewtopic.php?f=100&t=24695

Apart from a few exceptions like the Thundergun and the Wave gun, all wonderwapons have major drawbacks that keep them from becoming too over-powered. Most often this simply involves splash damage. Perhaps once you liquefy zombies it leaves that area of floor with no traction (slippery) with their melted bodies? Also one thing to bear in mind is that your theories about making the floor slippery or using water or ice on them don't actually involve the process of liquification, so we can pretty much rule them out. Not that they aren't good ideas. And if the zombies aren't being liquified, what on earth is? The ground? That makes what kind of sense?
-
I don't know what the S means, but as you all probably know liquifying is causing something to change from solid to liquid. This is most commonly achieved through exposure to heat. A prime example is ice to water. So it will certainly operate by heating zombies to melting point. this could be achieved through fire or blasts of energy. Those aren't the only possibilities but they are the first to come to mind when I think of a futuristic weapon, that hasn't been used before.

So it looks like I'm the only one who cares about what they actually mean. *cough cough* I'm joking, I'm joking! *cringes* But I see all these great minds posting here like flammen, PINNAZ, and MMX. So, now that it's been established that they are legit... GENTLEMEN. Do your worst.

Here's my take on all of these. Oh and OP it's the sliquifier, not squiffler. High Maintenance: Be the architect of their instruction (The EE) Check out this thread I made. I may have been onto something. The name "high maintenance" suggests repair. Also what is interesting is that it says "their voices" which implies multiple voices with the same goal, contrary to the tower of babble. Like I said, I may have been onto something here. viewtopic.php?f=100&t=24695 Note: I considered this theory debunked with the release of black ops 2. I now realize that this idea could still apply to DLC, and, you guessed it, die rise. Vertigoner: Fling 10 zombies in one game Most likely a lethal variation of the flinger from call of the dead, located on the side of the building or roof, to throw them down into the street. Mad Without Power: Make it to round 10 with no power on This seems to imply that the power switch is accessible early on, as in most maps power isn't activated until about round ten anyway. Shafted: Use all Perks and Pack A Punch in one game Shaft refers to an elevator, so I guess this confirms that all out perks are in elevators along with pack a punch. Slippery When Undead: Kill 5 zombies with a single "Squiffler" shot (The WW?) Definitely melts them or something. one thing to mention: the achievement for the gersch device required five kills, though you know all too well it can kill 24 With one. This will most likely be the same case. Welcome back to the world of mass-killin' waffle guns! HAHAHA!! Facing The Dragon: Face the dragon Head-On before Round 2 Obviously a boss or something. Since it seems to me you activate a fight with it upon finding it ("activating" it on a certain round) I bet it is going to be some secret monster hidden in a tank in the basement or on the roof. Maybe it is at the power switch and "Dragon" stands for something like GLaDOS? In other words facing the dragon is a metaphor for power switch or computer? And you forgot the last one. Called My own best friend: revive yourself. ... Umm... Quick revive? Derp. Maybe they added a variation of the solo quick revive to multiplayer? If you can't rely on your team you get a chance to revive yourself. I'm sure we can all relate to that moment where you think "if I was up and and YOU were the one who got downed, I would have totally been able to revive me!" not anymore! Plus it definitely involves a perk because the image is a bottle.

Honestly single weapon mode sounds great, and gun game sounds even better, but any more than that will be a bit excessive. Over-complicating it surely won't help anything. There is a fine line between over-complication and increased freedom. I think this is all we need to be happy with an amazing new mode and not ruin it with weird gimmicks. Edit: forgot to say thanks for posting! Very interesting and helpful info.

The wardenclyffe tower and tesla have always been massive subjects of interest in the storyline. It seems highly likely to me that the tower or a variation of it will appear in die rise. As you said a skyscraper offers a potential opportunity for such a plan to unfold. I look forward to investigating this further! Another mind-blowingly brilliant post from PINNAZ.

Things that People Will be Complaining About in Die Rise
Electric Jesus replied to OMGItsPatricio's topic in Die Rise
"ew Mai GAWD dis map is so lame! Last map we got 3 teleporters and now only one? Wat da eff tweyarch? N dis map is as big as Verrückt but the last one was huge! I feel cheated! These gas zombies are sooo annoying! Why did u put dem in da game tweyarch? Ur so stoopid! You ruined zombies I'm nevar pwaying again!" *proceeds to buy every DLC just to complain* That's how it was with kino. And literally EVERY SINGLE MAP. People who base whether or not a game is good on the little critical things rather than the experiences you have playing it are beneath my notice. Once we as a community acknowledge and accept the fact that this has been and always will be the case, we can take great strides towards simply casting it away from our beloved forums. And OP, i for one know what you meant. You didn't say you believed those things. You were just saying what you expected others to think, and you are absolutely right. But we must move on from that nonsense. Hugs everyone? -
Ok, so, basically my idea is that treyarch come up with a complete set of alternate textures for a map, and give us an option on the menu to switch between the traditional textures and a new one. For example, the old texture or traditional one could be of a destroyed area, while the alternate one presents the same map but pristine and undamaged. It's a pretty simple idea, though I don't know how easy it would be to carry out. I personally would love playing on some old maps, fully repaired. Thoughts? Edit: and the textures would in no way alter the layout of the map. It would be like nuketown / nuketown 2025. Exact same layout, just looks different.

Question: does this affect bullet penetration in any way? For some reason it seems like it would.
-
These are some pretty neat ideas! Although I'm pretty positive only one human at a time is allowed. And even if they are, I doubt a power-up would be able to bridge the gap from human to zombie, as it undermines the actual game mode's main innovative mechanic. The others are very creative though. Imaginary brains.

Well actually, you may remember that the first time we actually heard the name Die Rise was on the GameStop posters. Back then it was written as [die] rise. The fact that die is in brackets shows that it holds no deeper meaning than being a play on of high rise, made to fit the zombie atmosphere. However the word rise seems to suggest the actual act of rising. Ascension anyone? I doubt the entire building is upside down. Perhaps gravity is shifted so we work from the top floor to the basement (seemingly rising) where we then shift the gravity back to normal to rise to the roof again?
-
Oh beleive me this won't stop them.... But it will help reduce the amount of post there are... Kinda like armor, it reduces damage, but doesn't prevent it... That was nicely put. I look forward to being a part of this thread.
-
Please spare me. Whle both five and shangri-la had the same general idea (thin corridors and tight gaps) this map will most likely take on a more five-ish atmosphere, with the buildings and technology. It will honestly most likely be less to the extreme with this idea like shangri-la, because they know how much a bunch of the fans dislike it when it's too cramped. I personally like the idea.

The little hint at the end about the elevator makes me think that we will ride down to a secret lab like the haarp research center in green run or the labs in Five. Here will be the power, and a gravity switching device thingy. This allows you to walk on the ceiling as well as any zombies. The fact that some rooms are upside down is a hint that there is something to do on the roof in that level. OR gravity switches every round. Hmm.

My main class is an SMG with long barrel. This looks like it has longer range without any attachments, as it brushes the gap between rifle and SMG. I have a feeling this will be my new favorite gun. let the carnage begin.
