That is a sweet idea! One other thing is that ever since syndicate jokes about this idea I have wanted it. The idea is that you can upload your own quotes for the demon announcer. Mine would be STOP! HAMMER TIME! (carpenter) OMG THE QUARTERBACK IS TOAST! (nuke) Et cetera. Lol.

Button button, who's got the button? That's a little outrageous, even for treyarch. Though I suppose it would be handy as you could run from zombies going up, down, forward, backward, sideways, slantways, or any other ways you can think of!

1.New Crew: Have only been featured on Tranzit. 2.Buildables: Have only been featured on Tranzit. 3.Power Switch: Has only been in the "Tanzit" mode for BO2 4.Helicopter in Poster: Why? Yup, I'm pretty sure it will be tranzit. But... A helicopter? I was thinking in an elevator  So "five" was a tranzit map? Couldn't ascensions landers make it a tranzit map too? What about the mine cart? Or zip lines? Or *gasp* teleporters? I'm just joking. Those are basic map features. Our method of TranZportation has to be in an actual vehicle designed for moving people from place to place, having many different places it can go. An elevator simply moves up and down. Elevators don't exist for gameplay purposes but for structural purposes. It Establishes the map's verticality, whereas a helicopter or bus are used for horizontal transportation, which I think is the point of tranzit. As for the actual topic at hand, nearly every map has featured a new equipment. (hacker, knuckles, Spikemores, etc.) I want to see what else they have in store. One thing to mention us that if there is done advanced technology in this map (gravity shifters, and that kind of thing.) then it would create the perfect future atmosphere for a return of the gersch device and QED! If so I hope to see these in a trailer.

I made a thread in the asylum centering around der riese, discussing all of the clues in the map that let us know that by the end of world at war they knew exactly what the entire black ops zombies saga was going to be. As for black ops 2 we can't be sure, but you're right. By der riese they had it all figured out. And that's just Crazy. -
Stop Calling The Bus Driver TEDD People!
Electric Jesus replied to Electric Jesus's topic in TranZit
That's true. I recently kicked the habit of calling Him the Avogadro. One thing that I can't express enough is that the COD wiki should not be seen as reliable at all. It is in no way affiliated with treyarch and is totally full of nonsense lots of the time. MMX has a cod wiki misinformation thread in the member lounge. Check it out if you don't believe me. -
It's going to get ripped to pieces by NGTzombies, mrdalekjd, syndicate, and all the other big names on YouTube. I suspect we will be doing a bit of analyzing ourselves. in this case we might catch glimpses of... New perks (or old one) New boss? (or old ones ) Specific map features (elevators, etc.) Wonder weapon of course (note: they said "multiple Pap-able wonder weapons." this could mean raygun and a new one, or it could mean raygun and a few new ones, or even some old ones!) What's up with the meteors? Reveal accessible areas (street? Roof?) Show the crumbling building mechanics in action A tiny pixel in the background which OBVIOUSLY means something important.

This is a public service announcement from your friendly neighborhood electric Jesus. Never in the game is the robotic bus driver in tranzit referred to by any official name in-game. The name TEDD (which I believe is rumored to stand for "technologically elaborate driving device") is made up and inaccurate. Next order of business: what should we call him? Might I suggest something easy to remember, and generic enough that it doesn't have to be set in stone by ye almighty treyarch? how about, oh I don't know, BUS DRIVER?? In more than one case on this site people have used a variety of non-canonical names to describe something, resulting in some degree of confusion. *cough*babel*cough* I've seen this issue emerge lots regarding the bus driver, so I felt the need to set this straight. Let's just call him the driver, people. I am electric Jesus and I approve this message.

Electric Jesus replied to deathb4di2h0nor's topic in General Zombies Discussion
That is just gameplay. Otherwise you'd have to hope your Samuel had a mic and could be like "alright, I got a max ammo people!" it's just in the interest of gameplay. But still. This thread made my brain explode. I don't even know if any of my brain cells survivjkfcdsefvbpouvnnxcbjfsddv -
Spleens and Cannibals
Electric Jesus replied to deathb4di2h0nor's topic in General Zombies Discussion
How about a totally mad idea? There is an unlimited chain of reincarnations of the "voice," as in the person in the MPD. So far Sam richtofen and possibly Samuel. The next voice is chosen by fate. All of the past voices communicate to the future voice instructions in order to bring them to the MPD, and their destiny as the next omnipotent being. As I said, the voices heard by richtofen would be consisted of all of the previous voices, with the loudest of them being the current voice. So richtofen, partially beyond his own control, is beckoning to Sam in order to continue the chain. However one catch was that Sam resisted the cycle on account of her thirst for revenge. She presented a threat to the balance of the aether do the voices called to richtofen beyond her control, telling him to eject her from her seat in the MPD. So yes, the voice can affect the cycle through their own free will, though ultimately it must continue. Also, one idea could be that exposure to the aether's power prior to your induction to the chain of voices let's you hear them before your destined time. Following this logic, the reason richtofen heard the voices was hus exposure to the MPD. And finally, the relevance! Samuel's exposure could have been through--you guessed it-- eating zombie flesh. Since this (completely ridiculous) theory suggests that Samuel is the next voice in the chain... Well I don't even know. Just... Whatever. It sounded cool in my head, alright?! -
Good points, but you should note that it actually loses its one hit kill power at round 20. Bearing that in mind I say BRING ON THE FLOPPER! One of the main reasons flopper is not in Green run is because it would completely elinibate the fire mechanics and the challenges they might pose. Likewise maybe thee will be some similar feature in die rise that we haven't considered yet. For example: acid / chemical spills in labs, actual fires caused by the meteors, etc. a d then the obvious falling damage, which removes the purpose of the verticality of the map. Treyarch have expressed that it will play an important role in gameplay. Perhaps them meant structure-wise, but the falling mechanics still have some impact.

Am I the only one who has realized that reviving in the fog is damn near impossible without QR? A few of my worst moments have involved this. For example... My 3 teammates were showing me the diner/town shortcut in the first week of playing. One went down, other tried to revive, got downed, yadda yadda yadda. Now I have a pile of 3 teammates downed. I know the round is almost over so i finish it off. Then, I realize that denziens get me faster than I can possibly revive even one of them. Try though I might, I couldn't revive any of them. Note the fact that one had a raygun but didn't bother shooting the bastards out of the air behind me. I got so frustrated! Even worse was how much they blamed me. Ugh. Another experience? If you insist! I jumped out of the moving bus near the cornfield I think. at the exact same moment my pal shut the doors from the other side. Ahahsjfofuhwbqksixysjjwkkd BAM!! Crazy glitch-fest. I get killed instantly. Not downed, mind you, but spectating dead. I got revived next round and only lost a negligible amount of points, do I wasn't that mad; just shocked and LOL'd. Third time charm! Riding on the roof of my valiant steed, I went trough the tunnel and got smacked in the face by a sign. Had anyone ever seen the movie Speed? Me: "I'm smarter than you, zombies! Woohoo!!" BAM! *sign takes my head off." Richtofen: "well, I'm taller!" basically I land literally on top of the horde following the bus. Yeeeeeahhh... *start* *up* *X* *down* *X* (rage-quit of excellence)

Is there a thread explaining how TranZit is not a zombie map
Electric Jesus replied to bloodfurn's topic in TranZit
You know why I haven't noticed that? Because it shouldn't even be there! Green run hosts 3 different modes. Just because tranzit is generally seen as the main mode in BOII, doesn't mean green run should be seen as a part of tranzit. Rather, tranzit is a part of green run. Now you might think that THAT justifies it being there, but if/when tranzit returns in DLC, which I have no doubt that it will, it will be a part of those maps too! It can't be exclusive to green run, nor should green run be seen as exclusive to tranzit. It's not even the same... Thing! It ain't the same ballpark, it ain't the same league, it ain't even the same damn sport! it just bottles my mind. You know, mind bottling? Like you're confused like your thoughts are trapped, like, in a bottle? -
As much as it kills me inside to do it, I think hustling can be one of the best strategies. This simply involves pretending that you are REALLY, REALLY TERRIBLE at zombies, and coming back with fires burning and guns blazing at the moment of truth. Just do some stuff like buying an Olympia, shooting peoples' zombies through windows and such, and to play it really well down yourself several times in really stupid ways (lava, back turned, etc.) Make sure you can talk to your teammates via mic so they don't just lose faith in you and stop reviving you when it actually matters. Then go all out on them, Nading their box, running your elaborate trains, raking in points, and generally tearing up the competition. It just blows their freaking minds every time. At this point employ all of MMX's aforementioned methods. Typically this tornado of unknown skill wins it for you in a single round. Like I said, it gets them every time. Bonus points if you get your friends to join in.

Is there a thread explaining how TranZit is not a zombie map
Electric Jesus replied to bloodfurn's topic in TranZit
The main cause of confusion is that the only tranzit map is green run. Since there is only one map so far, they assume the map is called tranzit because of all of the hype surrounding it. Also MMX, you are absolutely right on almost all that you said, except I sort of disagree with one point. The tranzit forum section revolves mostly atoned strategies and the Easter egg which are specific to the actual mode. This will be further exemplified after the release of die rise. However I do believe that people have been making the same mistake as OP's friend, putting green run stuff in the tranzit section. There should be ANOTHER section for just green run THE MAP and its sub-areas. Tranzit will most likely return in die rise, so at that tine it will be used for more stuff. Until then the confusion between tranzit and green run will be resolved if there is a new section made about green run! Ok, I made that a lot longer than it had to be, so sorry. But you get my point, right? -
Most of my friends don't have any DLC maps but are still fairly good. I am trying to get them to get the DLCs but they don't want to... So now I have an opportunity to let them do that for free... But isn't that, like, illegal? Or at least hifhly unethical? I don't know, man. I'll see. But i think I'll stay over here on the light side of the Schwartz.

You and your MTDs! *edits post* What are you talking about?
-
Wel know that green run takes place decades after moon according to a maxis quote. We also know that area 51 and moon occur at the same time despite the teleporter, due to the atmosphere changing after the bombs hit. However the O4 do have a perfectly good MTD, which we know are capable of time travel AND are linkable to different Mainframes (der riese - kino.) so technically they could time travel to the future and be Alive AND the same age. However I don't know how they would be able to find a mainframe that would fit their needs... From a logical perspective, I see how they could be alive. But as of now we can't know for sure. I feel like the community would be pissed if they were killed off willy nilly. There are hints at their possible demise in how richtofen says "I miss those four." in green run. However one possible explanation for this quote is that they time traveled to a point before richtofen took control, removing any possibility of him interacting with them directly. However I don't know the extent of his power, as he is an all-powerful omnipotent being... TL;DR: there is no reason why they CAN'T be alive, but that doesn't necessarily mean that they ARE alive. We can't be sure yet.

Thanks for clearing that up. I'm really glad that they added this. In infected I couldn't stand it when the last 2 uninfected players his somewhere for like 2 minutes until anyone finds them.

...or imagine your friend running a train on the street. He occupies the train until you and two other friends ride the elevators to the roof. All 3 dive off onto the train at the same time. I think my brain just exploded. I want to go to there.

Worth picking up Black Op 1 for zombies now?
Electric Jesus replied to Bloodzat's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Check out the teammate finder section of this site. Believe me when I say you can find teammates for any map on any game. Just add specifications like "must have mic and so and so map pack" and you'll surely get some good teammates in no time. We are a site of professionals! Have no fear; you won't stumble across any of these alleged Immature Tweens. We have a wide age range here, but as I said we are all well-mannered And civil. Just make a thread here: viewforum.php?f=94 -
I know that feel bro. That staircase stole my childhood. If of course were even on the same page here. As for the potential gravity shifts again, I don't necessarily believe it to be true, but I'm just entertaining the possibility as I said.

Maybe the weapons will be limited to like the olympia and M14? In this case I think the reload is what gives balance. Otherwise you could just hide in the corner with an Olympia and be immortal. The lower damage but higher mag size and faster reload of the M14 make it more or less favorable to some players. If ammo and reloading weren't a factor then the Olympia would be the clear winner. So I don't really know about all that. I suspect that basic gun mechanics will go unchanged.

The "Wunder-ful" Wunder-Weapon Discussion!
Electric Jesus replied to killerussian's topic in Research & Development
Quite impressive for a first / second time poster! My only problem is the PaP reserve ammo. 65 isn't divisible by 15... But the weapon itself is a sweet idea. And you're right to a degree; high ammo makes it potentially over powered. However you chose to make it eventually lose its one hit kill ability. This makes it more balanced in later rounds. Earlier on it would be a bit over powered though. I say lower the ammo count and maybe even up the power (insta-kill permanently? Most WWs are, except the winters howl.) I don't mean to sound like I'm hating or anything. Just some constructive criticism for an idea I really like. -
Lol true, I didn't think of that. But you get my point. They made too big of a deal out of it then, too. If we come to find out that Marlton got bumped off and replaced with takeo I'll take it all back, but for now I believe that this is the same kind of over-analyzing as before launch of BOII.
