  1. Definitely Richtofen. He's like "y'all can kill zombies, I'm just gonna stand here and do some science." ...nah, it's got to be either tank or takeo. Tank has a more rugged badassery, but takeo is more stoic. My final vote goes to Takeo.
  2. Are you sure it's not an iron cross? Also could you post a pic? I can't view the video in particularly high quality.
  3. The idea of multiple dimensions has scientific and fantasy-based connotations. That being said, a magical seal to protect earth from a space-time rift isn't too far off from treyarch logic.
  4. Really guys? Stay on-topic, and play nice. You don't have to agree with someone's opinion to respect it, or to respect that person for that matter. There's nothing I can say that can change how any of you feel, but I think you're all sensible people who are aware of the existence of a private message button. Even so, publicly or privately, I suggest neither of you exhibit hostility towards each other. ...and EJ of all people is the one left having to say this. Is this what we've come to? Anyway, what MMX said about the age of the characters is related to a topic I just posted about the possibility of a wormhole being discovered in the mines in origins.
  5. Let's take a look at a frame from the origins trailer, moments before the zombies were unleashed. The miner is breaking through some kind of wall. It isn't just normal rocks though; it clearly has intentional markings carved into it. It's pretty obvious that the zombies as well as the 115 were intentionally sealed away here. Where exactly is "here?" ~ The Well of the Worlds~ The story surrounding the idea of a "well of the worlds" is that it is literally a cylindrical shaft set deep into the ground (you know, like a well.) at the bottom, instead of being water and a bunch of quarters and stuff, is a portal to another dimension. In this dimension dwells a great evil, and through this well this evil entity can gain access to our world. I'd like to mention a literary reference to the well of the worlds, which is in Stephen king's novel "Desperation." In this story, an old southern mining town's inhabitants are all brutally murdered, and a group of travelers stumble upon the deserted town. They soon find that the only inhabitant is a sadistic sheriff who imprisons them, killing off a few. Anyway later they discover that the sheriff is possessed by a demon of sorts, named Tak. Tak was dormant until the miners broke through to his resting place, the well of the worlds. Tak is actually physically located through the well of the worlds, in another world altogether. However he can inhabit a human body (killing them in the process) in order to influence our world, by "reaching" through the well. I see a lot of striking similarities between the idea of a well of the worlds and the events of the origins intro. We know that element 115 is not an element native to our planet, but could it in fact be native to another dimension altogether? By gaining entrance to this buried keep, have the Germans allowed 115 and the zombie menace to creep into our world? If so, what world is it from originally? The fact that the well is set into the ground implies towards Agartha, naturally. Maybe the well is really just a wormhole to the future, and by opening it, futuristic weapons, yellow-eyed zombies, and much more has been dragged through to our heroes in 1918. Edit: MMX brought up a point elsewhere about how the O4, Maxis, and Samantha truly lived during WWI era and time-traveled forward to WWII era. This explains the impossible age difference that has presented itself. For example Maxis's photo look about 40-50 in 1918. That means he would be 70-80 in Der Riese, which makes no sense. This is significant because if they actually did time travel forward, and some kind of wormhole exists in Origins, that could have been their means of time-travel, assuming "the door swings both ways," to put it in Ghostbusters terms. Obviously it isn't necessarily true, But there are so many possibilities surrounding this idea, and I want to hear what you have to say about this.
  6. Based on how the zombies appeared in great number so suddenly, and how the source was the weird mine, I think hundreds of years ago, 115 and an ass-load of zombies were sealed away, and both "escaped" when they mined down. The 115 went on to infect the war victims and the century-old zombies joined their undead ranks. Some smaller observations: Is Dempsey using a Remington new model army? We see Maxis's face for the first time at the beginning. Now that there is suspected Samantha involvement, I think purple is the default color. The previously seen yellow eyes have only been on zombies in the machines, or the giant robot itself. That's pretty suspicious. ;)
  7. So the narrator in the video is Samantha. So that's interesting. Also HOLY S#&@ THAT WAS AMAZING ASDFGHJKL;
  8. Link please!
  9. Maybe that's the one in the furnace on Der Riese, and the one depicted in the painting in Kino. I think I just realized how to find it and solve the final mystery! FIRST FIND 617 TEDDY BEARS THEN FIND A PIN NEEDLE STICK IT IN THE EYE OF A SABER TOOTH TIGER FIND OUT WHAT THE HELL THAT MEANS LOOK UP A DECRYPTER ON GOOGLE THEN REACH IN THE TIGER'S BUM HOLE PULL OUT A KEY OPEN ONE OF 17 SECRET DOORS OPEN THE RIGHT ONE AND FIND THE CAKE EAT THE SURPRISE BIRTHDAY CAKE POOP OUT ANOTHER KEY GO TO THE UPGRADE MAJIGGER THINGY YOU KNOW THE PACK A POONCH STICK SOMETHING IN THERE OR WHATEVER THEN EVERYBODY WINS THE GAME TA-DA! EASTER EGG! Edit: this thread is too good.
  10. It's common knowledge that Richtofen never leaves home without his marauder's map. Those of us that actually understand what schizophrenia is will know that it's something you are born with. You don't get it during your life, certainly not by touching a pyramid. That may have changed the nature of his insanity or even enhanced it, but if he was a true schizophrenic, he has likely been a sadistic psycho since adolescence. Don't worry. He'll be plenty crazy.
  11. But Russman is really a Vril-Ya double agent ninja robot built by doctor steiner's ghost in the aether because the rift explains everything. And that was only after we found out that Dempsey and takeo's beard are really the same person. Plot twist.
  12. I hope it isn't explosive. As awesome as it has been, almost 3 games in a row of mustang and Sally / C-3000 gets old. I doubt it will get any wonder weapon like properties (shooting lightning, flames, etc.) but it will likely get insanely powerful in a way we haven't seen before. Either way I'm hanging into this thing. Edit: That would be sick. All dual wield weapon names are an actual compound noun including a female name. For instance Mustang Sally is a woman's name Typhoid Mary is a woman's name Calamity Jane is a woman's name Tokyo rose is a woman's name Ultra violet is (kinda) a woman's name So if anything it would be Samantha and Maxis.
  13. so maybe assuming that the pack-a-punch is of course powered by 115, maybe straight up 115 could be controlling the zombies? I'm sorry, but why do you mention the Pack-a-Punch? The picture is of the "Wisp" from Buried. I think what Liam is referring to is how the "Wisp" might be tied in with the zombie we see with the armor. Only problem is that Buried is in Africa and this is in Northern France, unless they explain how it could have gotten to Buried. Perhaps it just went there since it might be a group of wandering souls? I might be over thinking this... Also, birdman22, I apologize if the reason you mention the Pack-a-Punch is obvious and I just can't seem to notice it. I think he mistook the wisp for the upgraded muzzle flash.
  14. You should organize all of your countdown threads like this. It was much easier to read. Don't think I'm criticizing you; you know I love your ideas. It just looks a lot nicer this way.
  15. I really think so. These guys remind me of my favorite scene from Terminator: Salvation. A giant robot attacks the main characters, shooting lasers and such at them. When they escape in a truck, it deploys two smaller road terminators which look like mini motorcycles to chase them down. I really hope something like this happens. That would be beyond cool. Check it out. http://youtube.com/watch?v=SNEaPQDsljw Starring Alex mason's voice actor.
  16. I honestly don't think they are the same, nor are they Vril-ya. However, if they are, that could relate to the yellow eyes on the map. If the Vril-ya have yellow eyes as their natural color and they are the default controllers, it explains how there are yellow eyed zombies on the map before Sam. A lot of people already assumed that there is no controller and yellow is just the default, but that's not necessarily true. Like I said I don't believe that, but I'll still just toss that out there. Also I love how Dempsey is gangsta-gripping that AK.
  17. I've had a few things happen using these two and I'm not sure which is "real" and the other is the glitch, so I could use some help. This is for solo only I think by the way. If you have QR, and throw a time bomb, then go down and upon getting back up detonate the bomb, you return to the point you threw the bomb, but without quick revive. (Any other perks you had remain though.) However if you use all of your solo revives and then get a 4th one from the witches, upon placing the time bomb, going down, and restoring, you still have quick revive. In other words the time bomb restores the Revives you get from witches, but not the machine. Is this a glitch? Probably. Has anyone else noticed this?
  18. In a theory I posted about MotD, I say how lucifer makes the zombies as projections, and they aren't even real zombies. They don't even have 115, since they're just projections native to the realm. However the power-ups and perks are all pulled through the portal into hell. All the power-ups have sam's voice because she made th power-ups and lucifer just borrowed them. Now let's say a similar rift transition occurs. Maybe the greater power in Origins has borrowed sam's zombies too? That explains how sam's zombies could be there before she was ever in control. On the other hand, the entire field of trenches, the younger O4, and a few old guns got dragged through to the (relative) future, during sam's reign. A lot of people are speculating that the map isn't when it seems, so it could have actually been pulled into the future. Imagine it like MrRoflWaffles' idea about how buried got buried. If the battlefield in origins got picked up and plopped down through time, all the giant robots and future tech, as well as sam's zombies could just stroll into the area. So what does that result in? A past location with past characters and weapons, with futuristic elements scattered about.
  19. They could always go the Super Mario Bros route and give you a power up along the lines if persistent red insta-kill as a stand alone power up. Just grab a star and run through the train while listening to brief jazzy music.
  20. Wait, since when is Russian 80+? I'm not doubting it; I just don't remember ever hearing that. I always assumed the O4 were in their 40s or so just based in appearances alone. With a bit of a stretch, I could imagine them being in their 50s. The problem is that they don't really look 18 in origins so they must be at least 50. Again, just pre-map speculation. Besides the storyline is riddled with time travel and space-time rifts, so you never know.
  21. I filled up my bank using this in just 10 rounds. This is too nice. I did notice that PhD thing once, when I flopped open my crawler. It's like when you get 130 points per kill when you throw a gersch while holding ballistic knives.
  22. I always thought it would be cool to have the PPSH as a drop. It would be helpful for killing zombies but mostly for racking up an ungodly amount of points during the time you have it. Similarly to the death machine, picking this up at the wrong time can be really inconvenient, but overall it would be nice to have some firepower, spray'n'pray points, and a fan favorite return.
  23. What you need to understand is that a lot of the "essential" ideas are taken. When you suggest the DOA chicken (for example) that essentially gives you a death machine. Increased firepower. A lot of ideas revolve around the incredibly played-out "kill zombies faster" idea. It would be cool if there were a power-up that turns all spawned zombies into crawlers. The icon could be a machete or tak's katana. It would buy you time, as well as give you the opportunity to get a few freebie headshots. So that's nice.
  24. There is not a lack of logic; treyarch just has their own logic, which goes unbroken in their universe. From our perspective, magically spawning weapons from a chalk drawing seems crazy. However in a world where chalk drawings DO spawn weapons (and that's considered normal) there is still a set of rules on which the weapons function. It isn't our set of rules, but it's as unbreakable as ours.
