I hope they incorporate some flashback humor. Like them making references to quotes from past maps, in the future chronologically. Just to mess with our heads.

...I'm requesting that Morgan Freeman reads this. Just get MMX to read it. Dat voice. I've camped in the juggernog hallway with an SVU on buried until the upper 30s, and was still able to get multiple headshots per bullet. However as per tradition bolt-actions have more power per bullet than semi-auto weapons. I think upgraded, with DTII, the ballistia will be an awesome weapon, capable of money-shotting us through the 40s with ease. Get pumped.

I second that. I feel like such a badass using it. *POW* *Chh-Chh* that's how a shotgun should feel. I also like the Double-Barrel and hope it comes back. If a wonder weapon were to return it would likely be the DG-2 or the thunder gun, because those are what fans want most. However each map typically has its own unique iconic weapon. Apart from the remastered WaW maps, I think the same wonder weapon again would break that tradition a bit. And I wouldn't like that. Oh yeah, and the thunder gun in ascension. Anyway, they said the wonder weapons use super-natural powers. I guess that makes sense since 115 hasn't been weaponized yet, as it was just discovered. I can't imagine what they could do / be, but I expect to get blown away. Here's a Supernatural Wonder Weapon For Ya: A PARAYLZING DOUBLE BARRELED SLIQUIFIED THUNDER JET GUN DG-2 *cough* With an ACOG scope *cough* And it shoots explosive electric shrinking laser beam acid cluster bomb black hole torpedoes!

I shelled out a good 50,000 points hitting the box to get the ray gun mark II. Only them did I realize that I couldn't get it because I already had the original raygun. I traded the raygun out. And got the mark 2 on my very first box spin. Ain't even mad.

I usually don't like snipers, but the SVU recently climbed to my top 5 weapons, after using money shot in buried. I'm actually really looking forward to the Ballista now. I feel like it will be like a more powerful Kar98k. I've only ever really used it in Gun Game, so I don't know how powerful it is, but in general snipers are one-hit-kills for a few rounds. I'm also wondering why a gun used in 2025 is present in 1917, but that's it's own thread.

UotM? You're fired. :?: :?: Thinking about that makes my soul ache. Why is treyarch so cruel about PhD?

The Matrix + Inception + Zombies = Fangasm. Are you paying attention up there Jimmy Z? Start taking notes!

UotM? You're fired.

It's already confirmed there will be a cinematic. But with the O4 in it? The cinematic in the teaser shows a man being crushed by a robot... I doubt he lived through that! Well I'd just like to point out that nobody survived in the MotD cutscene. ;)

I like. But what exactly does wishing water do?

Maybe you could plant a lightning rod on one of the giant robots to kill it? I think realistically weather would affect the robots. Precipitation could slow them down and cause them to rust. Fog could reduce visibility and hinder their ability to track you. Of course there is always the possibility that they don't specifically target players, and are more of an environmental hazard as they pass through. In that case weather could reduce YOUR ability to see them, and it could change their speed and make their locations more unpredictable.

I honestly think there's going to be some time-travel space-time rift stuff going on in this map. I doubt it's just an innocent little prequel. I expect it to have a MotD style intro. They're all fighting, when suddenly-- giant robots and zombies everywhere! They regroup in a brief "wait, what the-" moment (not unlike when weasel seemingly fails to kill the guard) and then the music starts, killing montage, Yadda Yadda Yadda.

WunderWaffe DG-1 Prototype (Buildable Theory)
Electric Jesus replied to DeltaFlame's topic in Origins
I see what you mean, but what if the DG-1 wasn't a flawed version of the DG-2? What if the DG-1 was an idea for the Wunderwaffe that just wasn't distributed, so by this I mean it could have a similar effect as the DG-2, it would just look different. For example, here are some pics of what the 31-79 JGb215 (Shrink Ray from Shangri-La) was supposed to look like and what different effects it would have. For some reason you have to open each image in a new tab if you want to see the full picture. [images] Yeah that's a good point. I've actually seen a few pieces of concept art for the JGb, but not all of those. I actually made an idea about a year ago about a prototype DG, which was the anericans' attempt at copying the DG-2. It was called the USMC Beam Cannon. y'all can check it out if you want. -
Hopefully we'll get the trench spike in the galvaknuckles's place. A trench spike is literally just brass knuckles fitted with a 9-inch spike used during WWI. It was designed for stabbing downward through steel helmets in trenches, so naturally it could pierce a human skull with relative ease. The melee lunge animation would be a downward stabbing motion, and the non-lunge animation could just be punching them like with galvaknuckles. (You hold it forward with the blade facing downward vertically. )

Are you actually saying that, or are you just saying that because PTG said it? Satan.

Let's ask ourselves what 115 does. It takes hold of a non-living host and manipulates it. Zombies infected with 115 can survive and attack without their entire head, let alone their brain. They don't openly bleed when shot so their hearts are useless, and they don't use lungs as they breathe underwater. What does this tell us? 115 does NOT necessarily employ already existing bodily functions. While it is thought to reanimate individual dead cells, it can still reanimate and mobilize an organism which was previously damaged beyond the point where it could support life. In other words it can (by a slight stretch) reanimate an inanimate object. Essentially a beheaded human corpse is just that. Like I said, it is thought to reanimate dead cells, but I can imagine it manipulating an inanimate object. Like I said 115 doesn't use any pre-existing bodily functions; the cells are reanimated individually. However in order for the somatic cells to work in conjunction, the nervous system (or a makeshift one) would have to be used. How? By transmitting electrical signals or impulses. As we know, 115 has electrical properties. I don't see why 115 couldn't manipulate an electrical humanoid in a similar way. The yellow eyes, then, would simply signify that the machine is affected by 115, without a master in the MPD. ...but don't ask me. I'm no doctor. Just a random idea that occurred to me.

I'm not just trying to discredit your theory or anything. Like I said it's perfectly possible. There's just not enough evidence to call it either way yet. I too love a good debate. I'm a master debater.

...HOWEVER! That being said, I think we may be looking into this a bit too deeply. For example, for the latter part of her reign of terror, Samantha is just sorta "meh" about the whole zombie situation. However, immediately following her father's apparent murder, her intentions are truly evil, as the only task she had in mind Is to "kill them all." Why then don't her eyes change to reflect her rage? Look at the song "coming home." It's from her perspective, and it says "I swear to you I'll kill them all. I'll make them suffer." That doesn't seem like an innocent little girl who is under the impression that she is just playing a game; Sam means business. On the other end, when Sam is threatening to "slice you apart and expose your rotten innards." That seems like she has some decidedly evil intentions. You could argue that she is too young to understand what she's doing or that it isn't just a game, but I'm not convinced of that. Besides biologically she's like 80+ years old, so I think she has enough experience to know that what she is doing is real. Edit: let me rephrase that a bit. Each person or entity who has controlled the zombies had had a unique eye color, besides the apparent default color yellow. If their emotions affect their eye color, why does it never change? Obviously they have more than one emotion. If its just based off of their main emotion that drives their actions, why wouldn't sam's be closer to red too? She's pretty evil. I'm not entirely convinced. I think it would be mych more simple if each character just had their own eye color by which to identify them.

Do you guys REALLY want new Zombies after this?
Electric Jesus replied to killbaoy1537's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Everything dies. What if we don't find answers? then we'll just have to ask more questions. If you're frightened by the answers, I suggest you cease asking scary questions. Nobody likes loose ends. They have the power to tie it all together. Just have faith... -
Yeah that makes sense. I was looking at it from a 3rd person perspective. Objectively Richtofen is more evil than maxis. However looking through there eyes, maxis is more aware that what he is doing is evil. Even after he is ejected from his seat of power, Richtofen says "Maxis is always ruining mein fun und games!"

The reason the zombies in MotD have red eyes is because they aren't actually zombies. They are just projections of the controller in that dimension. (The dimension is presumed to be some form of hell, and the controller is lucifer.) their demonic nature is what gives them red eyes, which is stereotypical of evil people. It is important to note that the zombies on that map aren't actually demons, but are just projections. Think along the lines of the ghost in buried. They are all the same person, but there are multiple of them, and killing one doesn't actually affect the spirit itself. They are all actually just projections. Another thing to bear in mind is that the controller of the zombies in the MPD cannot time travel. Samantha was stuck there for decades, from the 40s through to moon. That's why she imprisoned Dr. Gersch; she was bored and wanted someone to play with. So we know Samantha couldn't have actually influenced 1917 from the time when she was in control. I'm also certain that origins is in the same timeline as the rest of zombies, excluding MotD. So I'm thinking yellow is the default eye color, or some other more elaborate explanation is on the way. Edit: emotions might still come into play where maxis and richtofen are concerned. However I kinda disagree that maxis is the closest to pure evil a human has been thus far. Maxis at least wants to reunite with his daughter. He loves her more than life and would do anything to save her, even destroy the planet. He isn't nearly as blatantly malicious as Richtofen, the sadist who only cares about his own amusement, and causes the agonizing death of the planet's inhabitants just for the lulz.

Visibility has never been an issue for me in atmospheric maps. I can run the CotD ak74u train in my sleep, and the only real hassle about tranzit's fog is the denizens. However I feel like if they wanted to add atmosphere they would just use fog. The fact that there are several types of weather (more than 2) suggests that they hold more significance than just atmosphere.

It reminds me of Doctor Krauss from the hellboy series. He is basically a ghost but he "possesses" a metal and glass suit so that he can interact with solid objects like a human. I can imagine maxis doing something like that, although he would actually have a body at this point in time. Also I already made a thread on this topic, but that's ok.
