WunderWaffe DG-1 Prototype (Buildable Theory)
Electric Jesus replied to DeltaFlame's topic in Origins
Well the fact that the DG-2 was the "perfected" model suggests that the DG-1 was flawed and consequently scrapped. If we use a DG prototype it will likely be very powerful yet restrictive and it might hurt the player, or be a pain to use. Overall I'd like the idea. Edit: post 2935! -
New Wonder weapons. Plural. Treyarch, please be gentle. At first I was mad that this was going to be a prequel but now that I see the possibilities I'm so pumped.

What Would Make DLC4 Unforgettable?
Electric Jesus replied to Ehjookayted's topic in General Zombies Discussion
The main issue that has been brought up with Five and CotD is that they use different characters than the O4, so if the maps are brought back, we are going to be playing as CIA agents. Still, I agree that the BO1 maps should come back. I want all of the maps just because I want one giant collection of zombies with a single disc. I doubt it. Even though it was Non-canon, the black ops Nacht and Verrückt featured the O4. When they remaster a map it doesn't necessarily have to be canon, as it is being brought back for the sole purpose of making if available to fans again. -
Trailer Dates your thoughts
Electric Jesus replied to blackfire561's topic in Research & Development
Moon was released in November. Also, Buried just came out for PS3. For the Xbox? Moon (and the rest of Rezurrection) was released August 23rd. I thought that they had deadlines when they had to stop doing stuff, to make way for the build up of the following COD game. (I have no proof of that, i just thought I had heard that somewhere). Either way, I'm sure that we'll find out soon. You're right. Kino Der toten was originally going to be WaW map pack 4, but they canceled it because it was too close to the release of MW2. -
I know I'm not the only one who is pumped to see some new info, and wow. A giant mech warrior? I don't think any of us expected that. But maybe we should have. Firstly there is the obvious connection between this machine and Der Riese, which is that Der Riese is German for "the giant". The sign on the facility's wall reads "waffenfabrik Der Riese" which means weapon factory: the giant. Maybe this name doesn't refer to the facility itself, but whatever they manufactured there. As MrRoflWaffles has pointed out, there are several frames flashed during the trailer, which form an image when photoshopped together. The 935 logo is visible in the image, so we can assume the robot was made by group 935, and it was likely designed by maxis. Now, I want you to imagine you're standing in the Der Riese spawn. You're standing with the Kar98k to your left, and you're facing the mainframe. You'll notice that there is a sort of moat around the catwalk, on the left and right side. Try to imagine what could have stood there. That's right. The giant robot might have stood right over the pack a punch machine, with each of his feet in one of the indentations adjacent to the catwalk while under construction. If this is true, there are many unanswered questions that follow. If the map takes place in the past, in what year was the robot built? It seems like it'd be weaponized, condidering the nature of Der Riese and 935's work. It might pose as an enemy in the game, although destroying it would likely eliminate it from the game, as there would be no way to repair it. So unless there are more of them (oh god) I think we'll be interacting with it as an environmental hazard or we may even use it as part of the Easter egg. Maybe we could even control it.

Letters from the Field - Photos & Videos from Pre-Origins

Ok, how about this in Dropbox instead of Evernote: Look at #2. That seriously looks like the hand of the Statue of Liberty. Now that I have that in mind, this almost looks like a shredded dollar bill or some form of currency. -
One thing that bothers me is that they all forget to remove the vertical line in the letter E in the DLC name.

When I saw the vine I didnt see a syringe, but I saw a bottle that looked like the bottles of medication doctors have which they administer with a syringe. I think it's possible because they would administer the perks in a more scientific manner if they were in prototype phase (which they would be in 1917). However treyarch would need to make entirely new animations for buying them, and even if they did it might be a bit over-the-top to see your character give the self an injection. That kinda has a connotation of drug use, and could be a bad influence on younger gamers. Also this doesn't belong in the buried section. It will likely be moved to the future zombies section.

Nope. Zinc (for example) is Zn. Some elements have letters in their symbol / abbreviated name that aren't in their full name at all. For example the symbol for gold is Au. -

We use names like "ununbium" for element 112 for example as a filler. Like eternal said, they would use a more accurate name once they had discovered all of its properties. While we don't know the properties, we just give it a name to fill its space on the table. Just look at the word ununbium (element 112.) it's name is UN-UN-BI-um. almost all elements end in "um" but the first three syllables literally mean "one one two." Likewise UN-UN-PENT-ium (Uup, element 115) literally just means "one one five." -

I want them to expand customizability In the map. Headshots only, magic items, and hell hounds gives us some freedom, but it would be cool to be able to select which wonder weapons are available (from a list of all wonder weapons) as well as being able to select buildables and such. In black ops 2 they focused on customizability in single player, multiplayer, and zombies. However in zombies, 95% of th people just play with the normal settings, because none of the changes available necessarily make it any more fun. They just change the difficulty. -
Even with persistent PhD, unloading with mustang and Sally might not even kill an entire horde before you reload if you're in the 40s. So using those as your "escape route" in the jug hallway is not good for later. One strategy I used in the 30s was running a train near the original box, with a subsurface next to jug and the turbine in my inventory. Once the train was built up I would run down to jug and plop down the turbine, and they would all nearly reach me before being one-hit obliterated by the wubs cannon. That made me lag pretty hard so I advise against it. It also doesn't contribute to your kills count, so watch out. It is however very effective and saves ammo, as you don't actually have to use any at all.

Well in that table it is called Divinium. Other elements are based on adjectives that describe emotions and sensations. For example melancholium refers to "menancholy" which means sad or depressed. So Divinium means "Divine?" Divine means of or relating to god (think like divine intervention.) so it's god's element in a sense that it reanimated the dead? Like in the story of Lazarus in the bible. Ring a bell? Vr-11 Lazarus is the upgraded Vr-11. This also brings back connections to Vril (after which the weapon was named.) That may have been the reasoning behind their temporary name for it. A similar example is the plant Salvia Divinorum, known for its hallucinogenic properties, which was used in religious and spiritual rituals. PINNAZ mode disengaged. -
Some say the best camping spot is on the roof across from the original box spawn. Don't buy the debris; just fly up with the paralyzer. You only have about 10 feet of space in your line of sight, but the zombies only come from one direction, and if you use the petrified they are often dead by the time they complete the absurd jumping animation. Use green haze for cover if you need to, or just jump off to your right and land next to the box to train or fly back up. Either way buys you time.

Lets stay on topic. There is already a thread on what to call the friendly AI. It can be found HERE. Edit: also stay friendly.
-
Oh yeah, I forgot to say +1 to way. I didn't know he could kill witches. @MMX you're absolutely correct, and I really need to get out of the habit of calling him that. I say it in-game because "The Friendly AI" is a mouthful and Leroy is more of an MLG call-out because you can say it quickly. But when writing it out, in an environment free of the stress of zombies, it's inexcusable. That being said, I feel guilty. Anyway, the show must go on. You can shoot the hat off of a zombie's head. The time bomb's idle animation freaks out when you attempt to restore a save point before actually saving one. Always Running makes references to Abracadavre, beauty of annihilation, coming home, and carrion. If you dive into someone firing the paralyzer you dive like 20 feet. (Discovered accidentally with Delta.)

[POLL] Worst Special Enemy?
Electric Jesus replied to TheNathanNS's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Normally I'd say denizens because of how impossible it is to revive someone in the fog, but while trying to do the moon Easter egg with delta, Mr. Cosmonaut decided to give me a little grind from behind if you know what I mean. Goodbye jug. I hate that guy ever since. -
Leroy can kill players. You can fly part of the way back up the slide to processing. Put the python in the fridge on any other map and it turns into the Remington New Model Army on buried. (AKA Mega-beast Django gun.) You can teleport back to processing and fly to the LSAT if you missed it the first time. The vulture aid elixir HUD icon glows green when you pass through green smoke.

I forgot to mention that the palm tree is a spire and doing this makes maxis more powerful. Ta-da Easter egg.
-
If so we'd also probably get a trailer on the 13th, because that would fit perfectly. 2 weeks after buried for ps3 / pc, 2 weeks before release, and it's on a trailer Tuesday.

Pallets looks like a sick map. I remember the fake called orientation which was made before MotD. The zombies map was called dead high. The multiplayer maps were water, plane, and I don't remember the others. It had a fake bonus sniper rifle. The image for the map dead high was just the hand from the cover of left 4 dead. Seems legit. On an unrelated note, I have always wanted a map like the plane from the campaign in MW3, where turbulence is an interactive feature. Of course things like care packages wouldn't work at all. Also part if the defining characteristic of a leak is that it's real. The reason they aren't allowed us to prevent spoilers. These don't spoil anything, because they're made up. NEW LEAK 100% CONFIRMED MAP CALLED LOS POLLOS HERMANOS! TAKES PLACE IN A MEXICAN RESTAURANT IN PARIS AND THE CHARACTERS ALL SPEAK SPANISH THIS IS TOTES LEGIT CONFIRMED BY PTG AND TREYARCH!

The following is an Easter egg the likes of which has never been seen before on this site. It advances the zombies storyline in directions we could have ever imagined. It is by far the most revolutionary element if any game in the trilogy this far. Watch with caution; your heart may stop from excitement. A2E87Gl1kXA SUBSCRIBE FOR MORE TIPS! YOU SUM-A-MA BITCH!
