In the mystery box location shot you can see green light at the top right. Speed Cola is probably around the back of the broken wall on the 2nd floor. I would assume this is a replica town or a tourist attraction. Some things are just really out of place. One thing i'd like to mention about bosses in BOI and BOII DLC maps. DLC1: A round-specific boss which involves perks. DLC2: a non-round-specific boss with lots of health and who is more annoying than deadly. DLC3: Two non-round specific bosses. One is fast and weak; the other is slow and powerful. If they continue this trend i'd say the ghost woman might be fast and weak, and non round-specific. She might even be a Banshee and act like a shrieker.

Maybe they tried to make a round map and it broke the universe and created the rift. The rift is a singular noun. T-H-E-R-I-F-T = 7 letters 7-1=6 It's science.

With uprising Modz removed threads talking about posters for upcoming DLC, but bob intervened and said posters are fair game. I'm holding y'all to that! -
How does the MPD come to the Moon?
Electric Jesus replied to FatedTitan's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Firstly, fight club = yes. What i mean about the Screens being in chronological order is this. The first time richtofen discovered the MPD and the first time he went to shangri-la was before the map shi no numa took place. The actual map shangri-la is the second time richtofen went there. Since the pyramid went to space shortly before the O4 got there (richtofen's second trip), and richtofen had already met the MPD potentially YEARS before revisiting it, there's no way the MPD came from the pyramid. -
1. Marines 2. O4 3. Five Crew 4. CotD Crew 5. N4 6. Mobsters 6 teams

1. Its a neat idea but it seems pretty OP. one of the reasons people buy PHD is that it allows them to blast their way out of a corner by just shooting their feet with mustang and sally. This does that for them, as well as a bunch of other things. 2. Honestly this is also a cool idea but why make it a perk? Just buy a machete off the wall, or get the dual machetes from the box. That one can take a weapon slot. Much more practical. 3. This one is really cool. They've done this with the QED sorta. If it hits the astronaut sometimes he turns into a human and shoots zombies. It would be awesome to have it in perk form. Overall very nice and original!

David Vonderharr New Pic!
Electric Jesus replied to TheNathanNS's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Hmm. Naturally my first thought about the 15 is the round counter, but i doubt it. The HUD isn't supposed to obscure the top half of the screen. What's with the red bars? Maybe they're covering up certain things they don't want us to see. Normally when you're standing against a wall, you can still see your hands and gun even though from 3rd person you're sticking through the wall. Here the perspective is right against the wall but no hands are visible. So maybe it's... 1. Opening cutscene 2. Trailer footage 3. They're hiding the hands because we might find them familiar. -
New Perk (obviously): Fancy Pants! It costs 2000 and has only one effect: your pants are orange! How useful!

How does the MPD come to the Moon?
Electric Jesus replied to FatedTitan's topic in General Zombies Discussion
That's a valid point, but it would be awfully inconsistent on treyarch's part. The events of the kino loading screen are what lea up to the actual map's events. They take place very shortly before the map begins. The ascension screen shows doctors alive, so it must have been before the events of the map take place. However the zombies on the map have some cognitive memory of their past lives / training (they barrel-roll) so they are likely recently dead. So the loading screen depicts the launch facility operating very shortly before the map's occurrence, when it was still intact. CotD's loading screen, while made to look like a movie poster, depicts the map while it is happening, or during the opening cutscene (right before.) even Five's loading screen shows the men preparing for the events of the map. this also holds true for BOII maps. All of them take place very shortly before or during the actual events that transpire on the map. Consequently all the loading screens are in chronological order. Why then would these 2 maps break that streak? I'm not saying It's impossible, but it would be strange. -
How does the MPD come to the Moon?
Electric Jesus replied to FatedTitan's topic in General Zombies Discussion
The first 935 scientist (or rather the first zombies character) to go to the moon was Richtofen, because of an MTD malfunction. When he gets there the MPD is already there. He interacts with it BEFORE going to shangri-la. Only once he returns to der riese from the jungle is Gryphon Station constructed. The excavators are part of the station (built around the MPD) which are seen in moon's loading screen with the temple, so there's no way it could have come from the temple. It was there well before the events of the map shangri-la, which are depicted on the loading screen. -

Those aren't maps; those are new modes that take place in the same location. The Diner is still part of Green Run, just as the cell block is still the same map as Alcatraz Island. Those modes are too minor to house something as major as a huge stoeyline progression. Besides they would never release two "real" maps simultaneously, specifically two maps that greatly progress the story. For example originally kino was in WaW DLC #4, and the BOI starting maps were five and ascension. However, DLC4 was cancelled so the BOI maps were then changed to Kino and Five. You might wonder why they did this instead of using ascension and kino together. That was likely for 2 reasons. 1. Money. Two major maps at once, when one could cost an extra 15? Nope. 2. Story progression. When 2 of the main story maps like kino and ascension are released simultaneously, Their position on the timeline is blurred dramatically. Each chapter in the story is released one at a time for a reason. Likewise, they would never release 2 major stieyline maps at the same time (O4 / spire.) it just wouldn't happen. If they did it CotD style where one team interacts with the other in a single map, both teams' fate could be established, with only one map being used. That would keep the timeline more distinct and make some monies. Sorry to go so off-topic, but 2 "real" maps in one is a big no-no. Back on topic, we might get info over the next week and then get a proper trailer next tuesday. We haven't gotten ANY info yet, which is unusual. I doubt it will drop in 2 days. But when it does... i seriously do expect to see the O4 return soon. -
I usually use MMX's strategy which involves covering revive and juggernog simultaneously. However if you're confident enough in your training abilities you can choose to simply turn on the power and hold off with only Quick Revive or Flopper, and leave the other perks closed. Each monkey round you'll get a free perk until you have all perks, and since none are opened you still only have to protect flopper and / or quick revive. When the time comes for you to pack a punch, you will have to open all the perks (which ruins it) but if you put that off as long as possible without PAP you can go through the teens / 20s with 5 perks. It takes skill and patience, but i've pulled it off quite a few times. I've pumped hours and hours into the floppert train so i can do it without jug, but if you feel you can't, this strategy isn't for you. I mean, if you're lucky your first free perk will be jugg, but chances are you'll hhave to train for several rounds.

When do you think Moon/Nuketown occurs? (Poll)
Electric Jesus replied to Kar98DG's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I definitely think that the town featured in Green Run was used to cover up the research facility. The fact that the entrance is an old outhouse could be their attempts at making the entrance concealed yet inconspicuous. The exact same method is used to hide the entrance to Aperture in Portal. -
O4 vs. N4, and is the New Crew soon done?
Electric Jesus replied to bagel_'s topic in Research & Development
When he says "by moon you mean..." he is basically asking "what do you mean by the moon?" pretending like he has no idea what the moon is. He is just trolling the poor kid. He doesn't literally mean "near the moon." -
I think a "classic" wonder weapon would be nice. You know, where 1 shot = 24 kills regardless of what round it is. However, since BOII has seemingly gone in a new direction, that's not likely. However, i'd like to see them take some feedback and ideas from fans. 'twould be nice. Specifically, i'd like to see... LASERS. We've had every type of weapon, from plasma rays to micro waves. they're beating around the bush with the most iconic sci-fi weapon ever.

On the spiral staircase, sometimes when you view any texture in the area from a certain distance or greater, they appear solid orange. So standing at the top looking down the whole place looks painted orange.

When do you think Moon/Nuketown occurs? (Poll)
Electric Jesus replied to Kar98DG's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Well i think we can assume that Moon / Nuketown take place very shortly before Green Run, because in Green Run Richtofen says he's "just getting used to the aether" and hasn't fully mastered his announcer voice. So IMO Moon and Nuketown, as well as the BOII maps, take place in the present / future. There are a lot of anachronisms, but the alleged "rift" can explain most of them (with a bit of a stretch.) -
Element 115 In-Depth Explanation
Electric Jesus replied to MysteryMachineX's topic in General Zombies Discussion
It's always possible the devs are just throwing us off the scent by pointing something irrelevant out. They've done it before, like when James C. Burns said we'd be able to ride horses in TranZit, just to distract us from the glimpse of "Him" in the trailer. It could very well be a reference to Lost (not that i would know) but i seriously doubt that it was ONLY a reference to lost. Of course that's jist my opinion, but i have to agree with MMX that what we find in-game is more subbstantial evidence than the word of a developer. They're sneaky silver-tongued devils, you know. Edit: i was also unaware of the african meteor by the way. I did however hear a rumor about Lost. Not that it means anything... Also, play nice. -
Welp lets see... Mercury: reaches temperatures of 800 degrees. Sulfur: H2SO4 (sulfuric acid) is highly corrosive. Also named "Vitriol." ring any bells? Fire and Incineration: self-explanatory. They all burn. What else burns? A duck Hell burns! Where are our mobsters? Ta-da.

You listed russman twice. Besides EEs have always been strictly optional, and haven't had major gameplay impacts. All 8 perks as a reward seems major, but it's only for one game. But forcing players to go through them just to get characters who can talk? That's what i call cruel.
-
That would be cruel because we don't know which path corresponds to which team.
-
I want to return to the O4 ASAP, but i don't want to have to kill off the new crew. And i don't want them to meet up for an "epic 8-player experience". Ew. Honestly ideally for me would be to play as the O4 and communicate with the N4 but not see them, CotD or Shangri-La style. That way we gey as much O4 as possible while still ensuring the safety of the N4. If it was a choice between either the O4 or the N4 dying, i'd have to sacrifice the N4. But let's hope that never happens.

Element 115 In-Depth Explanation
Electric Jesus replied to MysteryMachineX's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Firstly this was an awesome read. +1. I'm particularly interested in the other meteor as well. It isn't 115 (at least not in any form with which we are familiar.) Well it's purple, and the only other strikingly purple state in which we've seen 115 is sliquifier gunk. Perhaps rather than altering pure 115's state of matter from a solid to a liquid form, the atomic makeup was altered more dramatically? The other meteor could be a sample of this new manifestation of 115. Then this new solid's state of matter could be altered to form sliquifier gunk. So the new isotope (or whatever it may be) is found in solid form on the navcard table and in liquid form in the sliquifier. By that logic it could simply be a new isotope, but when a different color is all I have to go on it's a bit of a stretch to say anything too farfetch'd just yet. -
Weapons You Want to See in Zombies?
Electric Jesus replied to Flammenwerfer's topic in General Zombies Discussion
You live in Canada? How come they had combustible lemmon T-shirts? When life gives you lemons, don’t make lemonade. Make life take the lemons back! Get mad! I don’t want your damn lemons, what the hell am I supposed to do with these? Demand to see life’s manager! Make life rue the day it thought it could give Electric Jesus lemons! Do you know who I am? I’m the man who’s gonna burn your house down! With the lemons! I’m gonna get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that burns your house down! Ohhh... I like this guy. I kinda want to see chainsaws. (of course.) We've seen all manner of unconventional warfare, but never anything with lasers. How about the moonraker laser from goldeneye? Or a tesla death ray? Too nice. I seem to vaguely remember a gun from half-life (i think? Anyone?) that can penetrate enemies and literally nail them to walls and surfaces. 'twould be nice to be able to crucify a zombie rather than taking schtumpy for a walk. -
Richtofen Actually Good? Maxis Evil
Electric Jesus replied to FatedTitan's topic in General Zombies Discussion
One thing you need to keep in mind is that richtofen still has his personality intact after touching the MPD. Of course he wasn't exactly bathing in spleens in his early days, (his personality is greatly exaggerated) but he does seem to have some level of self-awareness in-game. His actions might still not be his own, but he is still conscious to a degree, contrary to how you describe it as "total control." Unless by some coincidence this demonic force also likes spleens. One possibility is that his being under the control of a demon could be a metaphor for some mental illness triggered by contact with the MPD. He could be bound in his body, witnessing a second personality take over as ge struggles to conquer his mental illness and undo what his evil side has done. By that idea, the voices aren't actually some omnipotent force looming over him; he really is just insane. But yes, i totally think the song is from eddie's perspective. To you sir i say bravo!
