  1. To do the quote thingy, you press the quote button to get your two sets of brackets. (misspelled intentionally because it will change automatically if it's set up right.) [qwote] Right ^ there in between the two you put the text from the person you're quoting. Then inside of the first set of brackets, after the word quote, you put [qwote="Username"] but fill in the area that says username with the username of the person you're quoting. The result (when spelled correctly)? OR you can press the button that says "quote" next to each post in order to automatically do all that for you for that post and respective poster.
  2. That's a really cool idea! It would totally fit the creepy horror theme of the map. But on second thought, how did he reload it if he had already blown his brains out? but maybe somebody else killed him! BUT WHO!?
  3. Referring to either your signature or… I believe Executive Orders? I remember that book saying that somewhere. It's Zombieland! God Delta, you're so stupid! Those two don't really apply to the game so much, but one from the movie jumps out at me. DON'T BE A HERO. Sure if someone needs help go revive them, but don't do anything that would risk you going down as well. Otherwise you're just another douche who goes down during insta kill and steals all the kills with his M1911 while down. Remember that losing a member of your team sucks, but it will be a lot harder with two down. Think about the team as a whole. If you die too, it's game over.
  4. Ja ja, but like I said there was a legitimate reason for mule kick having a song, but it not being audible in-game. That was because if the void of space. But why would that be true for electric cherry, bearing in mind EC is the only perk that actually exists in that time?
  5. The fact that you actually "win" after breaking the cycle makes me think Lucifer (or whoever) isn't holding you there as punishment, but long enough for you to complete a task. Once you complete it you are rewarded with freedom. No eternal prison of torture would offer that type of salvation. of course that's just my opinion. My idea is that Lucifer or whoever the higher power on this map is uses his powers to influence the characters from MotD into completing their tasks because of the temporal butterfly effect. A small change in the past can lead to an unimaginably massive change in the future. By influencing the mobsters, maybe it results in... Something. Yes, that's it. It results in something. What that thing might be? Well it could be anything.
  6. KEVIN SHERWOOD! I KNOW YOU'RE WATCHING! Coppin' it, drinkin' it, bout to go and get my shockin' in, Passin' up on the Doctor' S***, someone else been Floppin' it But me and my EC ampin' it man I am stunning and shocking and Saving my reloadin' ass I'm hella happy that's a bargain B****
  7. Rollin' in hella deep, headin' to the E.C. (electric cherry) Stained all in blood, 'cept my nazi boots, those are black Draped in intestines, freak sacks moanin' next to me Sure glad I bought this, stings like PHD (BZZZZZT) But hell it was 2K cents!
  8. I disagree with this one. OP is
  9. As we know, the Perk-a-Colas are chemically engineered beverages designed to provide the drinker with some form of physical enhancement. Though the makers of Electric Cherry are currently unknown, it's safe to assume that it originated in America, as that's where it has been found exclusively thus far. Also bearing in mind that the map MotD is the earliest map chronologically, it seems logical that 935 followed in the footsteps of whoever engineered Electric Cherry. This theory seems to make perfect sense to me! Nice for someone so new to the forums. By the way, welcome to the jungle!
  10. Hmm. The reason mule kick's song couldn't be heard in-game was that it was outside of gryphon station on moon, directly on the Moon's surface. You can't hear it (or a number of sounds) because of the PES. So there was a legitimate reason for that. You CAN hear it on BOII though. But I can't think of a reason why electric cherry wouldn't have one. We can hear the other perk hi glee even though they flicker in and out, but Electric Cherry is perfectly intact and plays no jingle. Maybe they will patch one in at some point? I hope it's like BK's thrift shop remix. Haven't had a rap jingle yet either. Inb4 rap sucks
  11. You're such a hipster! I play 90% solo, and I'm on PS3, so I'll be all over this thread as soon as I get this map (or bum a few games off of my Xbox friends.) very nicely done! It's also nice to see some of CoDz's finest providing their input. Stay classy y'all.
  12. You are all mad that the changes they're making aren't as good as the ones made in WaW. Well DUHHH!! It started as a game with 3 rooms, no perks, a few dozen guns, and a bunch of zombies. That's it. Obviously the first changes which lay the foundation for the entire series are going to be the best and most influential! You can hardly complain that the more recent changes are different. Think of the game like a human being. 90% of what a human learns is in the first 12 years of its life (WaW.) it then continues to learn afterwards, but in a slightly different, more developed way. Yes it's becoming more complex. But is that necessarily a bad thing? Absolutely not!
  13. Honestly this is what I was thinking exactly. Based on my understanding of it, it can hinder your training abilities in tight spaces, but helps out in wide spaces. So then why would someone but it then proceed to train in a tight location? Either drop the perk or adjust your strategy to accommodate it's presence. I usually run the safest trains available, or the most convenient. So having never used it, I think it would be better for me than deadshot. That's not saying much since I go exclusively for headshots so Deadshot is useless for me anyway.
  14. Hey guys. Notice how there are alleged quotes heard from Tank and Nikolai, and not Takeo? The voice actors for Nikolai and Tank are listed as having vocal roles in Black Ops 2. So looks like we really can hear them! Or maybe they're set for a future appearance? That wouldn't make sense, considering the absence of takeo. So we can conclude that the O4 are in fact audible in MotD.
  15. This function (attraction) has only been seen in the Monkey Bomb and the Awful Lawton (both of which have 115) so I think you're right. It performs this function prior to exposure to 115 via PaP, so it likely gets it from another source (115 in the acid kit.)
  16. Honestly on a handful of maps I don't even touch the box until round 20. All I need is jug, an automatic wall gun, and M+S and i'm set. this boss is likely used to discourage dependence on the box or perks in order to improve players' versatility and skill. I think it's a good idea. The fact that he attacks perk machines is a bit much, but still. The frequency with which he appears is dependent on your actions. Play like a pro; get rewarded with fewer visits from Brutus.
  17. Because of its shotgun-like function unupgraded, I assumed the projectiles it fires are explosive, acidic flechettes. Remember the secondary shotgun you use in the first 2025 campaign mission which has explosive flechettes? Along the lines of that, but considerably more... Magnificent. But yes, we can assume the acid kit infuses sulfuric acid into the weapon.
  18. So I'm not special? Guys. This does give us a clue though. If my post turned up with the word DNA in it it means he was looking for something to do with DNA, presumably this thread. So we then know it is related to DNA somehow, since that's what he was looking for. Also if e = a and a = A, then e = A? Hmm. I'm nt sure what to make of any of his latest clues.
  19. THIS! This is pretty much exactly what I was saying I'm my last post. Thanks! I respect the fact that people want maps like Der Riese and Kino, as I agree that they are possibly the best maps. But people complaining that every map isn't exactly like them is just so counter-productive. I do regret that I went as far as to use the word "butthurt," so for that i apologize. However my opinion still stands. And yes, I post ten freaking novel-length posts per day on an Internet forum devoted to a game mode on a video game. I'm a fanboy. So where's the harm in that? :D
  20. I have a thread here about how O4 quotes can be heard in mob of the dead. However nobody in that thread was aware of either of the quotes you mentioned. Nice ears! viewtopic.php?f=149&t=31100
  21. Absolutely correct. (before I start bear in mind I've never played MotD) While I do think maps like Der Riese and Kino are amazing, (probably the best) I think the new maps are improving from what we started with. In ways they are better, but very different. We still do have to buy doors and all that stuff to get our perks. We still need to find the box and buy from walls to get 99% of our weapons. We still have lots of little secrets to uncover. We have the same basic gameplay mechanics and objectives: SURVIVE. You say adding stuff unnecessarily like having to use buildables to get more powerful weapons is horrible. But you can still get the Bowie knife in both tranzit and Die Rise without them. The galva knuckles are better than the knife, so in effect you put forth more effort to get a more powerful weapon. Seems fair to me. you're no longer being served the means to survive indefinitely on a silver platter. You have to FIGHT to survive. As for building more powerful weapons, like I said, it really isn't as much fun when the best weapons are available to you with little to no effort involved. (sure, you need points to use the box, but you need BRAINS and PATIENCE to build your means of survival, not have it gift-wrapped for you.) You also say that the side quests make it more like a campaign, which is bad. Simple solution: don't do them. Like I said there are still plenty of classic Easter eggs like notes and radios, but with an additional structures series of Easter eggs. If you choose not to do them, you're left with the Classic scavenger hunt feel. now actual gameplay-wise, these things all give you more (optional) features to break the monotony of running in a circle for 5 hours. Make no mistake; I enjoy playing zombies and running trains. But I LOVE actually SURVIVING. I can understand how someone like Chopper could get bored of being amazing and tearing through rounds, but for average players it just mixes stuff up a bit. If you look for it, the classic zombies feel exists in BOII almost completely intact. A few additions to make it more challenging IMO adds to the fun! You can choose to forsaken buildables and Easter eggs if you wish. Apart from elevators, the bus, and purgatory, you can just go ahead and play some good ol' zombies if you want. There are a few differences that (like I've said) just mix up the same old formula a little, as well as add some challenge and variety to your monotonous strategies. No offense meant whatsoever, but people who get all butthurt and despondent about the fact that Zombies isn't EXACTLY what it used to be really tick me off. You all need to accept that change is normal, and GOOD! Don't you remember our good friend JFK? Those who look only to the past or the present are certain to miss the future! If you spend all your time focusing on how zombies isn't exactly what it used to be, you'll never be able to embrace what it is now, or what it will be! Damnit. I always break off on rants. Blegh. I'm done. Also this thread isn't "blasphemous." it's not a sin to have an opinion. I just disagree with the opinion PRETTY DARN STRONGLY.
  22. That was the first thing to come to mind for me. I also thought it was ironic that Hagrid's pet was named fluffy too. I can't help but imagine it like this now though. A row of three orange portals on a wall with a cerberus's heads through each, and the heads poking out and chomping through three scattered blue ones. This is a really nice thread! You've shown that there is a lot of mythological symbolism in Zombies lately, as well as some obvious biblical ones (tower of babble). This and the general satanic atmosphere of MotD and zombies in general lately really gives me the uneasy feeling that some serious wrath of god S#&@ is on the way.
  23. Yup, it is called the Meat Machine if I recall correctly. Close. It's the Meat Grinder. I used it for Hangman the other day. It will be interesting trying to lure enemies into traps in grief. So does Brutus come in grief? That would be awesome. Also a teeny bit off topic, what is the actual object from the box that spawns in Brutus? Also I've never played MotD yet (darn PS3) so I don't really know the layout, but what area of MotD is the actual cell block? The area near / below electric cherry, or the spawn, or what?
  24. 1. Watcheth thine Back. 2. Love thy neighbor, and don't steal from his window. 3. Thou shalt not betray thy wall gun faith unto the evil mystery box. 4. Thou shalt know thy limits as thou knowest thy name. 5. Spare the sights, spoil the Zombs. Use thine head; aim for theirs. 6. Jug your nog, and jug it well. 7. Blades need no reloading. 8. Everyone needeth a little revive. 9. Thou shalt save thy neighbor, but not losers thyself in the process. 10. Thou shalt preserve unt Schtumpy.
  25. AWW. MAI. GAWD. What if the point on the main timeline at which MotD is converging (because of the rift) is in the future! I don't mean like 2025. I mean relatively, like past the events of the most chronologically advanced map so far (die rise.) The exact point at which it converges could be in a future map featuring the O4 as playable! That would explain their apparent presence in MotD, and possibly account for why deadshot and the other perks are there. We know MotD could be colliding with any point from Shangri-La onward because of the O4 and deadshot. However I was assuming it would be on a point in the existing timeline. However it might not have even happened yet! It could be the O4's great comeback! My brain hurts. I want the O4 back. I want a cookie.
