Flammenwerfer and InfestLithium are now Dwellers!
Electric Jesus replied to Undead's topic in Site News
Woo nice guys! I went into a thread and saw Infest Lithium and was like "holy purple guacamole batman!" I was just thinking the other day, most of the staff has moved up. Our old dynamic dweller duo Way and Undead are now moderators. Some mods have moved up to admins. I guess you had to replace that bottom rung of the ladder! Kinda like CoDz staff inflation. But in a good way. -
Quick Revive Isn't Coming Back? (Proof)
Electric Jesus replied to Flammenwerfer's topic in Mob of the Dead
I doubt they'd remove it honestly. But think of it this way. In both BOII maps so far they implemented an alternative way to get back on your feet. These were tombstone and who's who. Maybe the new version will be through purgatory, and like in the other maps QR will still be there, and you'll have to choose between the two. Purgatory could, for example, allow you to keep your perks, but have a severely limited time to get bac to your body. So you could take that risk (like with Who's Who) or just use quick revive. The person on the leaderboard may have just used the former method (which I guess doesn't count towards your revives.) -
The Big 50(4 player) , ps3 team, and everything else.
Electric Jesus replied to ThrowAmonkeyBomb's topic in Classic Maps
When playing Multiplayer Zombies if I have a good reviving weapon (Lawton, Krauss, Monkeys) I won't bother with quick revive. If that ends up being the case for me I'll probably go with mule kick. I mean, the Krauss for instance basically grants instant revives even potentially from a distance, so it makes QR completely unnecessary. And as for losing my 3rd gun if I go down, I'll be sure to avoid buying it until I secure my 2 most desirable weapons. So if used effectively like this I think the priority for Mule Kick could be placed above quick revive. However if you're one of the guys without these awesome reviving weapons I say go for quick revive. If the revival people go down, what then? They will most definitely need a little revive. -
how long did it take for cash back to be actually revealed? Die rise came our on Feb 28th, and the thread on cash back was made on March 5th. So about 5 days. I think it would have been found by more than one person by now if it was a real perma-perk.

What DON'T You Want to See in Mob of the Dead?
Electric Jesus replied to JMDogg's topic in Mob of the Dead
I loved the verticality of die rise. It was innovative and clever. However It really established a type of bizarre isolation in multiplayer. The map flows in one direction (trample steam > buddha room > power room > dragon roof > repeat). This either separated players or forced them together, which made revives really hard. this was countered by who's who to a degree, but one guy with a pistol and no perks is hardly a fair trade for someone reviving you who is armed to the teeth. So yeah. I don't want to see that type of structure again. Die Rise is epic, but Once is quite enough for me. -
What DON'T You Want to See in Mob of the Dead?
Electric Jesus replied to JMDogg's topic in Mob of the Dead
I heard that the fog near Alcatraz IRL rolls through periodically. So If certain outside areas were infested with denziens every 5 rounds or so, I wouldn't mind them so much. And honestly I doubt it was a lazily added sound effect TBH. They could have just used the signature zombies death laugh instead of this highly specific one. -

Electric Jesus replied to Flammenwerfer's topic in Mob of the Dead
It's also possible QR is there, and the employees on the Leaderboards didn't buy it, Just so that people would question its apparent absence. I personally believe in the purgatory idea, but you never know. Treyarch do love messing with us. -
Eh, if "pics or it didn't happen" applies I think video evidence would be more reliable. 3 consecutive pics of a player holding a different weapon could be faked if they traded one out and accommodated for lost points on the same round. not that I'm saying OP is a liar. Also my vast knowledge of the film industry ends with the film reels in zombies. I feel like this would be getting more attention if others had experienced this. If they added it with the last update more people probably would have seen it. Since you seem to be the only one so far, I'd say it's a glitch. But hey, we should all still be on the lookout in case any of us experience this though.

Ja ja ready to KILL! I really love the class ideas you have set up. I think the medic should run spawn room though because it gives them branching access to all 3 other players. Maybe have one running Thompson, one running STG, one running MP40 teleporter, and medic in the spawn? That way revives will be easier on the poor medic. :D -
Well, by that logic, we shouldn't have the perk machines either. :| Well yeah, by that logic, but the devs said you upgrade the blundergat "in some way" or "by some means" implying something different than the PaP machine.
-
I doubt pap will be on this map. It likely didn't even exist yet. I think this "kit" will be our new means of upgrading.
-
Maybe we build a "kit" and get to use it to upgrade something once, then it breaks. It can be a gun or a trap or whatever. Then we build them repeatedly (presumably at some cost) to upgrade multiple things.
-
Could be, but the weapon itself retrieves power-ups too. ;)

Ray gun NEEDS to be buffed for MOTD
Electric Jesus replied to Z0M3IE_SLAYA_115's topic in Mob of the Dead
If you had a weapon that could one hit kill one or more zombies with one sho on round 17t, which has a 20 round nag and hundreds in reserve, with near pin-point accuracy FROM THR HIP, what you've got is an overpowered gun. A few slight modifications make it more balanced. These changes are fair but almost negligible if you know how to change your style to accommodate for them. For instance try to go for headshots when shooting a single zombie. When shooting a bunch, shoot the ground at their feet and it makes multiple crawlers. Then one or two shots finishes off the crawlers, maximizing the effectiveness of the gun. I think they need to keep the raygun the same. It encourages accuracy and strategy, rather than hip firing at anything you see and raking in kills with no skill. -
Maybe it transitions from red to yellow on round 30 like nuketown. Maybe we will also hear the contents of the moon radios, but when they are actually being spoken originally instead of a recording (again like nuketown.) that would establish this map as taking place at the same time Sam took power.

The Blundergat (Wonder Weapon) discussion thread
Electric Jesus replied to Dahniska's topic in Mob of the Dead
Oh lenne, the constant peace keeper. MMX is and always will be one of the members on this site to whom I feel immense respect. Even if we disagree on one topic I still admire you as one of the best members of this site. I mean, I see what you're saying with everything in your argument and I understand what you think. And now I've reached the point where our opinions will likely never change. And so in conclusion I say that the blundergat is definitely going to be an amazingly powerful and fun... Thingy. I'm sure we can agree on that much. Plus this is the first debate in which I've participated where my adversary was a competent intelligent human being, CoDz or IRL. So I'll give you that. I don't have much more to say on the subject now, but when the map is out I'll be back to talk about how beastly this thingy is sure to be. Love y'allz! -EJ -
The Blundergat (Wonder Weapon) discussion thread
Electric Jesus replied to Dahniska's topic in Mob of the Dead
One last poorly crafted metaphor before I sign off for the night. Since you and I are the main focal points of this discussion (the maxis and richtofen if you will) we are incapable of being objective. Of course we want to be right. It's natural. So we leave it up to the others to decide what is and what isn't. They have spoken. You accuse me of having a pre-concieved notion that I'm right, but we could say that about both of us. But since almost everyone else seems to agree with me, and we are both being incredibly subjective... That makes you right? I think I confused myself somewhere in there. That can't be right. It's late. I'll leave you girls to it for the night. Ta-ta! -

Electric Jesus replied to Dahniska's topic in Mob of the Dead
You keep talking about how important it is to be objective and you keep bringing up the flat earth thing, yet not once do you remotely entertain the possibility that the earth could really be flat. And you want to talk about being objective? Can't you see why I'd think that a bit hypocritical? Because there is no way you can know with 100% certainty the exact treyarch studio definition of a wonder weapon. Until that day, we are just as right that the earth us flat as you are that the earth is round. -
better EE rewards!
Electric Jesus replied to undeadarcademachine's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I like the call of the dead approach. Multiplayer gives all perks on the map until the game is over. (not in solo because infinite who's who / revive) Solo gives you a fan favorite wonder weapon. DG would be too redundant. Give us the thundergun! -

You aren't going to stir the pot perfect. The Pot has already officially been stirred. The jimmies are all rustled. I didn't know what I was getting myself into. All I wanted to say was that the blundergat in effect fills the wonder weapon niche of this map, unless treyarch are keeping secrets. so I want to consider it one because of its wunderful properties. -
The Blundergat (Wonder Weapon) discussion thread
Electric Jesus replied to Dahniska's topic in Mob of the Dead
You're accusing me of being subjective when you almost literally say "I'm right so just deal with it"? You say you refuted everything I said, but I countered all of yours equally. I'm just saying the definition could be changed. You're just like NOPE END OF STORY. We've been going back and forth. Of course you've refuted everything ive said. Then I refuted that. Then you refuted that. etc. It's a debate. That's the point. Earlier you were talking about respecting opinions (with which I agreed to the fullest) but now you just say "my view is right." all I'm trying to show is that it may not be 100% correct, and I want you to be open to this idea and break out of the cast iron shell of technicality. Edit: stop mocking me but we are talking about BOII weapons. No new grenade wonder weapons have been introduced in BOII. -
The Blundergat (Wonder Weapon) discussion thread
Electric Jesus replied to Dahniska's topic in Mob of the Dead
Special Weapons: these are weapons which are unusual, but not unique or extremely rare. They are all conventional military weapons, but less common. They are considered special because most use a different form of inflicting damage than conventional ballistics. They aren't super-powered and pose the same type of pros and cons as normal weapons to a degree. Wonder Weapons: these are conpletely original weapons concept-wise. They are always very powerful. They are unconventional and completely unique. they don't pose any of the same issues as conventional weapons or specials. They are unique to the point that they require their own level of thought to use to the maximum level of effectiveness. Anyone wanna add? There is definitely a difference. And based on this, the BOII ones are in fact wonder weapons. What infest means is that "super-natural" literally means above normal. It is more powerful than a normal conventional weapon. There is a false (formerly true) connotation around the word wonder, thought to be related to 115 or whatever. However what we are all saying is that it just means really good or powerful. Edit: @gaycabdybacon Gintama (oops quoted wrong person) if you're trying not to spark something that's a terrible way to start. -
The Blundergat (Wonder Weapon) discussion thread
Electric Jesus replied to Dahniska's topic in Mob of the Dead
*sigh* All I'm saying with the above conversation is that I disagree. I think that weapons could be wonder weapons even without 115 prior to upgrading. I feel like your views on what does and does not need to change is also opinionated and subjective. If its inaccurate it needs to change. Whether it not it is inaccurate is still undetermined, but until then your definition stands. That's what I'm trying to establish now though. Has it occurred to you that the reason treyarch don't define BOII ones as wonder weapons is because they want the community to decide? And with the Spikemores, that's kinda my point. The Spikemore starts as a normal weapon and with a slight modification becomes a new innovated weapon. However, the jet gun is a completely original concept. It is invented by treyarch, not innovated. That is what makes it a wonder weapon (by my standards) and why a Spikemore is not. Now again (forgive the backtrack) why do you say the sliquifier uses 115? Because a piece of my evidence is reliant on the fact that it does not. And thanks perfect. By the way, you're right about the misnomer thing with the bus driver for Instance. But we aren't continuing a misnomer by calling them wonder weapons. We are (more accurately) re-defining the term to encompass other wonder weapons which would have been excluded based on the criteria if the previous (inaccurate) definition. -
Wait do you mean the chaos mosh pit mode is gone? that was my favorite mode! NYAAAOOOOOOAAOOOOOOAOOOOOO!!!
