At the start of a game of Grief on town, someone on the opposite team as me started knifing me repeatedly so I started knifing him too. We both ended up catching fire and knifing each other 10-20 times consecutively. Then suddenly we both went down upon knifing each other simultaneously. I know we did not spend enough time on the fire to cause us to die from the fire alone, so can knifing someone repeatedly actually kill them, or was this a random glitch? Either way, has anyone encountered this before? As far as I knew knifing only acted to push and stun enemies. It seems like... What with everyone knifing someone trying to revive a teammate, we would have seen this before, but I haven't encountered it before under those circumstances. I don't know....

I asked myself the same question a while ago for the same reason.. Richtofen mentions either during the big bang theory, or in a radio (can't remember which) but he says Maxis has experience with American women. I don't know if this is relevant, but I questioned his nationality once or twice. However I still think it is highly likely that he is in fact German. I'd hate to be "that guy," but from an American perspective, they both (maxis and richtofen) sound German. I wouldn't be able to recognize different German dialects or accents, so the fact that maxis may posess a different German accent than Edward would be beyond my perception. But you still get what I mean.

I never actually got around to using that, what does it do? I know it hacks stuff, but can you use it at range, is it unlimited, etc? I haven't used it but I spectated soneone using it. They hacked a helicopter from the ground. So yes, super long range. I've seen it used on uav as well. Edit: I think it's multi-use.

Hence the fact that he was banished? Maybe he couldn't take the heat and backed out, or was kicked out because he was too unwilling to get his hands dirty? I don't believe the theory entirely. However, just because it is unlikely doesn't mean it is impossible, and it does fit for the most part. I'll keep it in mind!

I totally agree with you there. Especially because I would just buy everything before I prestieged anyway. I like the variety for secondary weapons. I didn't like how in BO1 everyone would just take an explosive secondary because there was nothing else. Not to mention secondaries actually do something. Pistols were pretty much useless the last couple CoD games. when you are out of ammo and all you had to rely on was your secondary, you were screwed in black ops. now with automatic pistols (and my baby girl executioner) you can go on a rampage and keep the upper hand in CQB, rather than hoping you get lucky. launchers are a bit better too. i don't like the new crossbow, but that is my only disappointment for secondaries in BOII. apart from that they have been improved loads. prior to release i was like "black ops secondaries suck! im just trading it out for another perk!" little did i know that the executioner would end up being one of my favorite and most used guns....

Improving the zombie mode with 4 simple changes
Electric Jesus replied to Wni0's topic in General Zombies Discussion
well, to be fair. im kinda in the wrong i cant really focus right now. sorry. if mods want to delete this page ok. I agree with rickety on this. But don't worry. Do you know how many ideas all of us have had that have been shot down or otherwise disliked by the masses? It's no biggie. As has been said this is a site of ideas! Your ideas for features and interaction are frankly awesome, but you must expect that any idea that so dramatically alters the gameplay would get a bad reception. PS: also there is no need to delete this thread. My first proper theory got the following response: "I honestly don't really see what you did here..." so yeah, you'll catch on like the rest of us. PPS: welcome to codz by the way! PPSH: (ucwutididthere?) call of the dead's water, shangri la's mud and water, zero gravity on moon, and fog on tranzit give it a nice interactive feel which IMO makes the games more real to you. I can't wait to see ideas like yours implemented into future maps. -
Abigail... where have I heard that before...

Yeah, it's cool, not like I needed to sleep tonight or anything... -

Just one thing to point out. I notice a lot of really young kids draw the lower case letter A as a small circle tangent to a vertical line. Look at the A in emelia. See what I mean? It is NOT like that in the other two names, implying that there are three different styles of handwriting being used. So it is likely these are in fact three seperate girls. -

Simply browsing through the timeline theory threads I can see that there is a lot of speculation that green run is in the 80s, and moon was in the 60s. Following that theory..., How old is misty? 20s-30s? That means in the 40s (when Sam was a child in her original timeline) misty wouldn't even be alive, or would be a very young infant.... However, can anyone refresh my memory on when the teleporters were going to be unveiled at kino? I feel like it might have been a few years after der riese, so THEN it would actually bake sense. So in conclusion, I say there can in fact be a connection here! -

Improving the zombie mode with 4 simple changes
Electric Jesus replied to Wni0's topic in General Zombies Discussion
May I do the honors? 1. If the zombies had the same core health, you would want to balance it out right? So what would that core health be? The health of wave 15 zombies? That would mean that the first several rounds would be monstrously hard since you have only a pistol, essentially on round fifteen. Then after that, the rounds would be mind-numbingly easy. They gain health progressively for a reason, and this defeats that purpose. 2. If zombie's were faster than you there would literally be no way for anybody to run a train, eliminating it as a high round strategy. If you couldn't out run them toy would just have to camp, and that can be less reliable than training in most cases. It would make rounds 15+ WAAAY different than what we are used to, in a bad way. It dumps one of our most used strategies down the toilet. 3. In black ops 2, the wall gun placement is already pretty devious. In town the m14 and mp5 are all back in corners where you can get trapped grabbing them. Also the idea of the mystery box is that it had ups and downs. Try to get a great gun but risk getting a pistol and having no reliable source of ammo. Wall weapons should be left alone since they are the "safe" route. Less powerful, but they offer unlimited ammo (if you can afford it) and consistent availability. This is pretty balanced so I say keep it the same. 4. One does not simply BEAT cod zombies. That is not the point. The point is to survive as long as you can. That would too dramatically alter the core of the game. The only other time this had been changed was NML, and there the same basic idea applied: survive indefinitely until you die. Think of it like this: which do you do more, play through a game's campaign, or play zombies? This isn't exactly the case in black ops 2 but you know what happens at the end of the campaign. What makes zombies more fun to play over and over again is the fact that you literally CAN'T win. You can only try to get as far as possible. Good lord, if all of these ideas were implemented, teen suicide rates would skyrocket globally. They do in fact ruin the game in many ways. -
Ducks aren't in it either. Riot time. I saw some lightning bolts, but I'll be damned if I saw one single Jesus. Riot time indeed!! I know, it's a joke. On topic I like the new emblems, as my new emblem uses about 25-30 emblems. I like the fact that I can plant A bomb, run and snag a kill or two, have it detonate, And BAM! I already have dragonfire. I love scorestreaks so much since I always play to objective anyway. I also like the new scorestreak rewards themself, like war machine, HELLSTORM, hunter killer, Lodestar, and loads of other sweet ones.

Yes, but he did try to mislead us a few times, like by suggesting that there was a horse to distract us from the Avogadro. In the same shot with the paint was the part needed to build a shield.... Who knows. I think they have no real use personally. Here is a link to the video. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=0WCDOtClg7I

Your Desires for Future BOII Zombie Levels
Electric Jesus replied to LILNIG's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I'm pretty sure the M14 is stronger, or atleast on par with it. But it's cheaper, and a wall weapon, so... "I might as well start baking the zombie's some cookies!" -misty, when receiving the SMR. I HATE it. -
When it comes to treyarch, every single pixel means something. They would never include anything anywhere in the games unless it held some meaning, no matter how small. So yeah i agree it could be trolling to a degree, but it still holds some significance. Bear that in mind!

I think we can rule out the possibility of them having once been humans. Demons, vril-ya, or hat ever else they might be, no human can fly or make teleporters (except richtofen, but he is special!) I mean, denizens are roughly the size of toasters. So couldn't they be 115-inated toasters? I mean it all fits... Except for, you know, the lack of toast, the organic matter, vocal abilities, the ability to fly and make teleporters, and so forth. But apart from that they are pretty similar to toasters! Come on people. They aren't toasters. (this is an analogy. Nobody in their right mind would think they are toasters. Just look at all of the aspects before jumping to a ridiculous conclusion.) Well, as of now the only things capable of teleporting stuff are... Well, teleporters. These run off of 115. It therefore makes sense that creatures capable of creating teleporters have been introduced to the element. If you shoot deaf soldiers with the raygun on little resistance they rot and decay instantly due to the side effects of 115. It makes sense then that these are simply some mutated form of animal exposed to element 115. It wouldn't make sense for it to give a bunny for example the ability to fly so they must be a mutated form of a specific animal that could already fly prior to exposure. Hmmm... What fly and have tails and are dark and have razor sharp teeth, and are prone to flapping about on your head? BATS! Where do bats live? CAVES! Since these are the only likely candidates for the identity of the denizens from this viewpoint, it makes no sense that other animals weren't exposed to 115 and mutated in their own way. As we know this isnt tge case, The only way this would be possible is if caves (or a specific cave) were exposed to 115. Since we know Hanford housed a haarp research station, it makes sense that they would use caves and deep-earth tunnels to conduct earthquake tests and such. So maybe after failed experiments involving the bats (or a random accidental leak of 115 exposing bars to it) the bats became denziens and busted out, like the crawlers on kino. That's my (painfully wordy) theory as of now.

I understand. If someone manages to produce more bullshit in 7 posts than I can manage in 1200 they aren't worth my attention. Umm... WAAAAAYYY???? UUNNNDEEEAAADDD???? LLLIIIIAAMMM??? BOBB??? AFROOOO??? CAN YOU WORK YOUR MAGIC AND "USE THE HAMMER" ON ZANDER'S? If you know what I mean.... Edit: let the record show that I am in fact an Internet nerd. However no claim made by yours truly against the defendant has held any legitimate substance to support this claim. And NOBODY tells me "Electric Jesus" is a lame name. Jolteon and I will shock your asses right up.

I agree that there should be Some new clever grief mechanics, but if you could mask yourself from zombies it achieves the same thing as meat: making zombies attack the enemy instead of you. I like the idea but from a critical perspective it is too redundant. It would be better if there was something that directly affects the other team, like temporarily weakening them or slowing them down. We can already do this to a degree, but it should definitely be expanded upon.
-
As heart-breaking it is, I do not think he is actually a troll, but just sorely mistaken. His lack of punctuation on the other hand is indisputable. But let's just move on. I say there have been changes to BOII that make it more challenging in many ways, but nearly all of them do so in a good way. In fact, I can't name ONE that is simply there to piss you off. It keeps it so that you aren't spoon-fed high rounds. DON'T JUMP DOWN MY THROAT AGAIN PEOPLE! I'm not saying this was exactly the case in black ops, but infinite trapping and training was relatively easy and it was all you could even do past round 40. Your inability to EASILY traverse the map and PaP or use the box is yet another challenge to overcome in tranzit. Like Zanders said, if you don't want a game exactly like BOI don't buy it. If you want something just as good or even better I say go for it.

A quick google search tells me... That's a toaster. Hmm. New toast-launching wonder weapon? Seems legit. Back on topic, yeah, you can't get back until the bus starts to move unless you have the side ladder.

It's almost like a mass euthanasia by one very merciful... Doctor. (Lol) Kill them to spare them of a greater, more gruesome death. *gasp* is this another example of "the lesser of two evils?"

Poll: Who do you follow in the backstory?
Electric Jesus replied to Telixion's topic in General Zombies Discussion
+1. Same reason why I voted for Maxis. I'm not sure why anyone could think Richtofen isn't that bad of a guy and that Maxis is evil must not have been following the story too closely. I know we've had a few of these threads like this, but I'll say again Maxis is a good man, hell bent on revenge for the man that stole it all from him. At this point in the story, he's done nothing "evil" IMO. He's done the necessary things thus far to try and stop Richtofen from gaining full control. The radios recently found for TranZit, along with the previous Moon quote, clearly indicates he never meant to threaten the entire planet. His plans have been pretty straight forward what his mission is. To stop the takeover of Richtofen and help rid the Earth of the creatures. I suppose he could just be deceiving the crew into helping him, but he hasn't showed any signs to me thus far that he has evil intentions. I can understand why people voted for Richtofen though because it was alot of people's favorite character to play as. As far as storyline goes though, you've gotta go with the underdog and and the good guy, Maxis. As for the belief that he's an AI, yes most people seem to be under that impression lately. Which is totally fine and acceptable theory, but I for one am not sold just yet. The thought is that because Maxis only appears through electronics, that he must be an AI or in some sort of cyberspace. If he was in Aether, he would just communicate like Richtofen would, without electronics. Right? I somewhat accept the possibility that Maxis is in some kind of "cyberspace", though it seems improbable at this point as we've never heard any mention of such a thing existing in the game. The AI thing for me is hard to believe though, as I don't know how he could have "inserted" himself into computers in America at places like Jackass Flats and the Hanford Site of the Manhattan Project. We do know they had operatives in America, so perhaps that could offer an explanation of how he was inserted into those systems. It's really hard to say that though as we have nothing solid to support it. We have no clear way of telling for sure where Maxis is at the moment, but like I posted in another thread, I believe the signs from BO point to him being in Aether or somewhere similar: You know what really makes me happy? Well, what is the difference between a twilight fan deciding between Edward or Jacob, and a codz fan deciding between maxis and richtofen? 4000+ characters. I am by no means saying twilight fans are not smart, but it warms my heart to see the level of passion and deep thought shown around here on a regular basis, even on seemingly simple topics. You guys are the best. Stay frosty. Team richtofen FTW. -
I agree with this entirely, but I can't help but think how ironic that statement you made is. Protecting people.... By nuking them. Nice one Maxis.

Dupe thread dude. viewtopic.php?f=100&t=25130 Not that it isn't nice to see one of our legends out and about. -
Mine is Care package always the first one. And I mix up the next few all the time. The second is always either HELLSTORM or lightning strike, but for the third I use either AGR, dragonfire (usually dragonfire), death machine, or war machine. I usually keep the second one HELLSTORM, but I change the third one depending on the map. My most common setup then would be... Care package HELLSTORM Dragonfire This is pretty balanced, as there are those games where I get loads of tiny killstreaks, overloading me with air-droppable goodies, and there are the boss games where I get massive streaks. In this case I kick myself for not avtivating higher streaks, but dragonfire can be really good if you know how to use it properly (which I do.) so, yeah. What about you guys?
