1. How many iron sights snipers did you encounter (if any)? 2. You mentioned lighting and that detail has gotten me really pumped. But did you notice a wide range of colors and hues, or was it generally flat? 3. For grenades, is there any difference in the distance they can travel when thrown? In BO and MW2 I was the freakin' seemtex master because I mastered the ranges. any differences noticed? 4. What sights were the coolest / cleverest / your favorite? 5. Finally, I assume more people in general will play to objective due to the score streak system, but in hard point, what percent of people were actually going for the objective? Rough guess? Great thread, keep it up Liam!

The "Wunder-ful" Wunder-Weapon Discussion!
Electric Jesus replied to killerussian's topic in Research & Development
TS-C Wormhole generator AKA Portal Gun The number of times people have suggested a portal gun IS TOO DAMN HIGH! ... Well the idea would be awesome but everyone is like "portal gun would be cool but i have no idea how it would work so I will just leave it at that." Well, My turn! The portal gun has a large round back where a stock would normally be. This is connected to a glowing blue and orange "rod" of energy, which connects it to the front. The front is similar in appearance to the back of the gun (white, round) but smaller, and the top part of the front of the gun is black and takes on the shape of a very thick gun barrel. Apart from the energy rod, two black wires connect the front and back. the front has three black spindly appendages protruding outward from it. This weapon uses TWO DIFFERENT AMMO TYPES: positive energy (orange) and negative energy (blue). You can not aim down your sights on this, but it has about the same accuracy as a hipfired raygun. Instead of ADS, left trigger fires the blue beam and right fires the orange. Hitting the wall or floors with either color sets an opaque colored circle there. The color matches the color of the beam. Then, upon setting the other beam on a different wall, both circles become transparent (except for the outline which matches the color, orange or blue). Peering into one of the now transparent circles will show you something peculiar: a view from the perspective of INSIDE THE OTHER RING! Upon jumping through one, you will fall out the other! If one happens to be on the floor, jumping up and into it chucks you out of the other. Hopping into the one on the wall makes you pop out of the ground portal. The above is the weapon's first function, and This function has a few limitations though. 1. Although each set of portals (henceforth referred to as a passage) is active for as long as you want, you may have only one active passage at a time. 2. You can't set portals in inaccessible areas, on ceilings, or over top of each other. 3. Zombies may not enter the portals. However, most people would try to use this to their advantage by repeatedly hopping back and forth through their passage. However, you can only travel through the passage by entering through the orange portal. Setting a blue one decides where you go out from, and an orange one where you enter from. 4. Attempting to set a portal in one of the aforementioned illegal areas results in no ammo being wasted, and all previously placed portals will stay put. Now, to the second function. 5. If you choose to devote a blast to the gun's second function, your portals remain intact. If you set your two portals, but change your mind about where you want the orange portal to be (for example), you can use another wherever you want it. Then the first would disappear. HOWEVER, (assuming the blue petal was in the right position) you would end up with one less orange blast than blue. Obviously one is not enough to complete a passage. That is why there is a second function. If you choose to perform this function intentionally, (or because you made the mistake described above) you can simply shoot at the zombies. It is basically a gersch device blaster, albeit much more flamboyant and colorful. This works regardless of which color was used. They are all dragged into a vortex whose color matches that of the beam used to create it. This only works if it hits a zombie directly. The zombie who is hit implodes and then EXplodes into the vortex. upgraded this beast becomes the almighty TS-C AP3R TU-R3. It now has twice the zombie slaying capabilities, with a dozen blasts of each color. The weapon itself changes in appearance only one way: the core changes from blue and orange to red and purple. The beam and portal colors change accordingly. Red replaces orange and purple replaces blue. ISN'T SCIENCE JUST WUNDERBAR!?!? -

This is actually a fragment of a much longer quote from ascension. (Upon making a crawler) "now you are small enough to fit into... A gum ball machine! *gasp* Then maybe I could get a little piece of you for a quarter!! *screams* WHO HAS A QUARTER!?!? *accusatory tone* Dempsey??? -
If it was local splitscreen, sometimes it glitches a lot, especially of you aren't signed in, or don't have an Ethernet cable connected. For the first week or so when I didn't connect my PS3 to the internet, the zombie maps glitches like crazy. I think that is your best bet for why that happened. As far as my call of the dead experience goes, the most common Internet related glitches (or a lack thereof) are... Invisible zombies (except for eyes(EXTREMELY COMMON)) George-a-palooza glitch fest. Peculiarities in zombie motion animation (swiping in place infinitely, sprinting forever, STANDING CRAWLERS) Literally three power ups from one Scavenger shot. Immortal zombies / George As for the box, might just be a coincidence.

This is my idea for how we will spawn. We will spawn outside the bus station. This area is our revamped NML. Zombies spawn infinitely, and you must hold down until the bus arrives (similarly to how you wait for the teleporter to open). Then you can get on the bus and continue to the rest of the map (as this area is undoubtedly tiny) OR hold down and accumulate points until you must move on. I bet the bus will take longer to show up than the tele takes to open. All of the shots of the bus in the preview and the beginning of the trailer seem to show it as being empty of human occupants. This is because it is shown BEFORE the bus is accessible. TL;DR: Bus station is like NML; must wait for the bus to arrive; can stay and get points or move on to rest of map via bus.

OH yeah, forgot to mention the satirical pop culture quotes! For example... Can't remember the exact quote but on ascension Dempsey jokes about updating his Facebook starus while PaP ing. "WINNING!!!" -Dempsey, shangri-la "I got ninety nine problems, but a gun ain't one!" -Nikolai, Kino der Toten "I will shoot them gangster style, da!" Nikolai; dual wield Cz75 "this runs on 1.21 gigawatts of electricity... Where have I heard that before?" Richtofen, der reise "Smells like... Victory!" -Dempsey, Der reise "I believe I can fly!" can't remember who but I think it's on either moon or SL Yeah, you get it. -

What We Know: Zombie game modes explained.

What is the deal with the new mode hard point? It sounds a lot like HQ, but how is it different? Please explain! I understand that there is respawning, but I don't really get the point of it yet.

great find! I bet he will just beat around the bush and not really reveal anything. I mean, I HOPE not, but you know how jimmy is. Still love you though Z!

Did ANY of the following occur AT ALL!? Excessive camping Spawn trapping Spamming of any 1 equipment, killstreak, etc. Also, did you see more classes along the lines of "armed to the teeth" or more "decked out with perks" classes? And a bit off topic, what look sensitivity do you play on?

This.^ SSSHHYEEAAAAASSHHABABLOOYYEEEHHAAA!

Alright guys! Apart from the stops we saw in the trailer I suspect TWO additional stops that were not revealed. Here's why! On the pieced together map posted, you can see the last stop shown has more path extending out, ending on what is obviously some kind of town or complex. Then more path loops out of THAT and is primarily out of sight from what we've seen so far. I suspect another stop just outside of our view in the map to the west. I think THIS one will have the current treyarch twitter pic as its map mark, because it depicts some kind of mountain formation. VEEERRRIIILLLYYY!!!!!!

The title says it all! As for the original four (who are confirmed to return in some form) these are my thoughts on their quotes. In shi no numa and der reise, their quotes are kind of redundant and gimmicky. Y'know, there are only so many ways you can say "I AM AN ANGRY MARINE"; "I AM A CRAZY GERMAN DOCTOR"; "I AM A DRUNK RUSSIAN"; and "I AM AN HONORABLE JAPANESE MAN!" I prefer less character-oriented quotes. I especially love those that breach the fourth wall and directly make jokes about the fact that they are in a game. Quotes that are jokes in general are my favorite. I get tired of hearing Dempsey making up new insults, more lewd violent and sexual jokes from doc, and vodka jokes from Nikolai. They ate still good to have but seem played out. IF I HEAR TAKEO SAY HONOR ONE MORE TIME SOME SERIOUS SHIT IS GONNA GO DOWN! To give you an idea, here are a couple of my favorite quotes from each of the original four. NIKOLAI I need one of those spinny green ammo container thingies! Da, now I have two black hole bombs! The other is MY ASS! Pull my finger! Force field is no match for Russian head butt! *thump* *fart* ughhh.... Bad idea. I lie down now. TAKEO What am I supposed to do with this? Throw it at them? (hacker) It slices, it dices, it's wonderful! (slap chop FTW) Killing should always be this intimate! DEMPSEY Richtofen's portrait is bigger than the others! Maybe he is trying to compensate for something! Look doc, it's a flamer, just like you! IT JUST--IT JUST BLEW 'EM ALL OVER THE PLACE! HAHAHA--........*sigh* wow. RICHTOFEN Does anyone have any balls that need polishing? CALM DOWN NIKOLAI! According to my calculations, that big diggy thing is about to F$&@ us up! I LONG--TO BATHE NAKED--IN YOUR BLOOD! What kind of quotes do you guys want to see return?

Hey guys. Although normal multiplayer and (of course) zombies ate the absolute best parts of COD, I kinda liked spec ops. Survival mode was kinda... *cough*infinityward'sinabilitytocopewiththefactthatzombies isthegreatestshitever*cough* Sorry, y'know, flu season. Anyway, I thought it would be cool if they added a feature I call BOOT CAMP. It involves specific training in VERY specific areas of gameplay, against veteran-level practice dummies. Here are some of the boot camp mode ideas I came up with. There will be competitive modes that grant no XP (for fun), and practice modes. NOTE: I don't want / expect this to be in black ops 2! I just think it would be cool! Don't be all "ERMAGHERD, THERE'S ONLY A MONTH LEFT IDIOT!" COMPETITIVE MODES DRAGONFIRE DEATHMATCH Duke it out with your frenemies as all of you compete for kills against the practice dummies in your quadrotors! DEATH MACHINE FRENZY Wreak havoc upon the dummies, competing for kills against your friends with your trusty fist of iron! WAR MACHINE MADNESS Blow the dummies sky high, while competing against your friends for kills with your MGL-40. A.G.R. RAMPAGE Shred up some dummies while competing against your teammates for kills as you command your Autonomous ground robot! HELLSTORM HELLRAISERS Decimate the dummies with your HELLSTORM missiles, competing for kills against your friends! RC-XD ROAD-RAGE Take down the dummies while competing for kills against your pals while using your trusty Remote controlled car of doom. PRACTICE MODES I am too lazy to give descriptions of the modes. SOOO, imagine there are modes where you and you alone use one of the aforementioned killstreaks and simply rampage against practice dummies. Simple enough. There could be more modes specific to more than just killstreaks, like specific equipment, guns, headshots, et cetera. What do you think?

Grief mode idea: Hunger Games
Electric Jesus replied to Electric Jesus's topic in General Zombies Discussion
If you haven't, check out the multiplayer mode idea I posted. It may help you understand what I'm talking about more. It is more complicated there (because of perks and equipment and so forth) but the core element is the same. http://callofdutyzombies.com/forum/view ... 99&t=23978 -
One thing I should have expressed was that these cultists ate not people to me. They ate simply another set of data. I neither like nor dislike them nor anything to do with them. However, I wrote based on observation, do if they appear anything less than human, I am not to blame. However, I seem to have made an error in my research, pertaining to the age range. (if you know what I mean ) so I will omit that section until further research can be conducted in that topic. Thanks for the feedback.

Ok I know I posted this idea as a MP game mode idea, but I thought "How have I gone a month without realizing that this would make a badass 4z4 mode?" this version is much more simplified than the multiplayer one. Here it is! All 8 players start at different points in the map, and they must wait for ten seconds before the game starts. During this time, gun power up drops spawn in randomly. When the timer stops everyone rushes out, trying to grab whatever random weapons they can. Then, after a several second grace period the zombie's begin spawning in, and the power ups vanish. Now the 2 teams' members can regroup amidst the zombies and must carry out their ultimate goal: survive as long as you can with whatever guns you hapoened to come across. you might be able to just grab the nearest power up gun and get ready, or you can venture out and grab a further away one, risking the possibility that it is either worse or too far away to reach in time. There are still points, perks, PAP, etc. but you can use ONLY the gun in your hand. You could get lucky and get a decent machine gun, or struggle to survive with the almighty CZ75. There are ABSOLUTELY NO WONDERWEAPONS! What do you think? ~EJ

XP-79 from licence plate on trailer
Electric Jesus replied to SirPlasticDucky's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I was thinking at first that XP was a reference to the xp emoticon. Then the hyphen and seven looks like an arrow, pointing to... A sideways nine? I don't know what that could mean, but that is what I have thought from the start. P.S. @Zombicidalmaniac... *Their Couldn't help it! -
For Tankeo, Not as gone as I may have thought... As a small number of you may know, Tankeo was conducting a lot of observational research prior to his departure. He worked long and hard, studying the peculiar traditions of the Mystery Box Cultists. He would never have wanted his research to have been wasted. So, in honor of his memory, I myself have conducted some research of my own on this subject. I now present unto you the completed research files pertaining to the mystery box cult. ~THE MYSTERY BOX CULT~ INTRO You may be wondering one essential question: what the hell is this so-called mystery box cult? Put simply, it is a group of people who worship the mystery box. They look to it for guidance, provide unto it a regular tribute of points, and engage in other praise related actions towards it. Some characteristics to look for in people in order to determine whether or not they are a member of this society are... 1. Lack of skill / strategy 2. Inability to see reason 3. Excessive mid or post-round mystery box use 4. General whining and perpetual discontent AVOID CONTACT AT ALL COSTS! These people have been known to get teammates downed, steal kills, blow points, scream themselves hoarse into microphones, and even (in extreme cases) be under the false impression that they know everything about zombies. Chapter One: Tankeo's Notes The following are Notes, taken From tankeo's private research log. EJ's side notes: it seems somewhere along the line Tankeo either acquired the holy book of the cultists, or at least threw together / scavenged knowledge to form a basis for his research. This is undoubtedly a great leap towards understanding this group to the very core. The following are a variety of passages collected from their holy book. It seems, based on these, that Tankeo never actually acquired a copy, but simply caught a few pieces in passing. CHAPTER TWO: ELECTRIC JESUS'S RESEARCH LOG Upon embarking on my journey abroad, I expected my research to come at a slow albeit steady pace. I did not expect the explosion that occurred in my data collection. Here is the most important of the data that I managed to collect. The following are taken from my research log. PERSONAL LOGBOOK THE ULTIMATE CONCLUSION As you may have been able to gather from all of that, these cultists are devoid of any skill, strategy, human compassion, or intelligence of any kind. They simply act as computers. Computers equipped with only one program set to repeat infinitely. Appease the box. Appease the box. It is a vicious cycle. This is not ALL of the information on this group of exotic people. I urge you all to reply with some of YOUR contributions. If you happen to have scavenged a bible passage, a defining characteristic, or ANY OTHER INFORMATION WHATSOEVER, feel free to post it, and i will add it to my extensive yet incomplete research file. Edit: and please forgive any obvious autocorrect fails. I typed this on my phone. Peace, and happy slaying.
