You basically can "No-clip" on the Xbox. There's a crack in the ground between the bridge and the Bus Depot, and if you go into that crack with the camera in Theater, you can get under the map. There's weird barriers and it can be hard to get around, but I've been everywhere.... inside the church, around/under Nacht... did not see anything resembling a new/unexplored playable area. You can even see the PaP room before you open it, so it's not like things aren't there until you activate them either. What was in the church, may i ask? As far as I could tell (and remember)... nothing. There were no textures or details at all other than the small area inside the boarded-up window in the front.

Yep, that's the sound. Much more audible in your video than mine.

The Zombies team is notorious trolls. I remember one of them (Jimmy Z?) showing up to the CoD Zombies panel wearing a Trollface Tshirt. Then they said "Maybe there is a way to get out of zombies alive? Try going to round 100!" and have said there is more in Der Riese that hasn't been found. They love to mess with people... I don't buy everything they say.

That's probably because they want people to play with everyone, and not just the high round people play together. People have to get better somehow. Really? I didn't know that... That sucks alot. They might change it in an update to put it on the leaderboards and allow you to store money / guns. Custom match does not count towards leaderboards, but it does count your stored guns and points. I play custom all the time and can always get the guns and points I left in solo. The only time it doesn't work is if you play on Easy.

That may be your opinion... but when I quit my game it says "Downs-0". That tells me that quitting a game doesn't count as a down. Now, when you quit in the middle of a round there is a second where zombies can still attack you, and THEN you may end up with a down, but I always quit between rounds and it never counts as a down. Edit- Just tested it. Started a game. Stats were; Kills; 18,666 Deaths; 131 Downs; 186 Played one round and quit. Stats are now; Kills; 18,676 Deaths; 131 Downs; 186 So no... dying and quitting are not that same thing. Not according to the leaderboards.

I heard him say that the other night. I'm pretty sure it was when we were rolling back into the bus station. I specifically remember hearing him say "New bus route learned" and thought it was a bit odd. I wanted to go back and check the video, but it was one of those random solo games that didn't ever show up in my recent games. This happens to me a lot, and it's really frustrating.

I made a half-hearted attempt tonight... but I got a late start and ended it at round 19. I was running them in circles by the diner, then leading them to the lava to set them all on fire before killing them. No results, but I might take another shot at it when I have more time and can take it into later rounds. It's 6:00AM now and I didn't want to go any further.

This is stupid.... BUT it would support the K/D ratio theory (that I still have doubts about). If the ranks are based on K/D, and you're quitting your games instead of being downed... then obviously your K/D will increase faster, leading you to level up faster. I've personally started quitting games when I get bored instead of killing myself for this very reason (though it hasn't seemed to have any effect on my rank yet). Just in case.

I haven't tested this, but supposedly you can get up to 4 guns in the same way you can get more than 4 perks... with Tombstone. If you have Tombstone and 3 other perks, die, buy two perks you didn't have already, then grab your Tombstone... you will have 5 (this I have tested and can confirm). What I have heard is that by hitting the box (or possibly buying wall weapons) before picking up your Tombstone, it is possible to have 3 or 4 guns. Sounds reasonable, since the perks work. Someone posted in another thread that they were able to get something similar to Flopper by taking a certain amount of damage from exploding zombies. Last I checked they had not posted any proof so... grain of salt and all that. I'm going to try an experiment where I will set all zombies on fire for a few rounds before taking them out.... just to see if perhaps exploding so many zombies will earn splash damage reduction. It would kind of make sense, because I believe when they explode it counts as a "gib", which is tracked on the leaderboards. I'm not really expecting much, but it gives me something to do.

NO. They originally seemed to be permanent, but it seems that after an update they no longer are. This has been proven. viewtopic.php?f=136&t=25654

Nope, I seem to be still stuck at skull with 4 tallies. I've been there for 3 days now... so I don't see how the tallies have to do with how many days you're played in a row, like everyone says.

Well, I was bored and happen to have a Relativistic Punishment Device that I keep in the fridge for special occasions, so I figured I'd take a shot at debunking this "15 rounds with a single weapon" thing... hell, maybe I'm wrong and something awesome will happen? I went to the farm round 2 and got my gun out. All the way through the end of round 19 I only used that gun. No knife, no knuckles (except on Denizens), no grenades... even got a Raygun out of the box that I never fired a shot out of. I was able to time the rounds so the Electroretard never spawned, so I didn't need to worry about him throwing the system off (I had gotten Monkeys I was planning to use in an Avogadro-related emergency, but thankfully it was not necessary). Just the upgraded RPD, nothing else, 17 complete rounds. Even avoided the nukes. Nothing. No sound or anything indicating I may have completed a "challenge". Rank has not changed at all. Now, some claim the ranks update at 7:00 AM, so I'll double check to see if I get the skull with a knife, but I'm really not expecting much. I'll update the thread when I find out.

The Navcard Reader is most likely NOT part of Richtofen's EE. He never tells you to build the table when doing the EE (unless you pick up pieces of it), and you don't have to fire the Jet Gun at the table under the tower. You can fire it anywhere down there. I haven't been able to test this because I've had the table built from the beginning, but I'm almost positive this is the case. I think the confusion came from some people thinking the meteor on the table was the "obelisk", but an "obelisk" is the shape of the tower... not round. Jimmy Z' tweet about "the zeros" was most likely referring to people at the top of the leaderboards with 0 kills, etc. This was a problem shortly after the game's release... after he tweeted that, all the "zeros" at the top of the leaderboards were gone. This is the first I've ever heard of anyone actually picking up a Navcard anywhere other than the known place. Is the game where your friend picked one up in the Bus Depot still in your theater games? If so, I'd like to see a clip of it to know the exact place and circumstances. Could be something important.

~The Mystery Box Cult~ inspired by Tankeo Dempsaki
Megaton A replied to Electric Jesus's topic in General Zombies Discussion
The worst thing is that this describes all three of the friends I frequently play with. They all know I have played much more zombies than them, and they full admit I am better at it than them... but they refuse to listen to me when I tell them to stop humping the box at least until they get Jugg and an MP5 or something. For example... TranZit. My friend and I get on, I say "Hey.... we should get the power turned on and get Jugg, then come back around for the box." But we get to the diner, he jumps off and starts dumping all his points into the box. Then we get the power on, but he has no points for Jugg and nothing but a sniper.... then I'm expected to keep reviving him. This is the kind of thing that keeps me from ever completing most of the EEs. My friends are fucking awful at this game. -
I don't think it has to do with it being on the bus. If you set it down and it's not near anything to power, it will last for a really long time. I've dropped them to pick up the zombie shield while I ran trains at the diner, and 5 rounds later they'll still be going strong. What I find interesting is that it made it from the bus station to the diner at all on top of the bus. It must just clip right through the beams in the tunnel... because if you or a zombie is on the roof in the tunnel, the beams will knock you off.

The Zombies Ranking System -- Explained and Reviewed
Megaton A replied to javano's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Interesting. So Jimmy Z says it's based on skill, and we have Rez saying that by design you will lose rank if you don't play often enough. So the conclusion we can come to here is that Treyarch assesses skill based on having no life and constantly playing Zombies? What a horribly stupid system. I see this so much with the Zombies team... brilliant ideas with horrible execution. I mean... a Zombies ranking system!! Awesome!! There are so many ways you could properly do that and make it a fun way to compete with your friends! Oh, but no... it's just "Play constantly or be punished." SMH -
Customer support never knows what they're talking about. Their job is to get you off the phone satisfied with the conversation... I guarantee they don't know the details of the ranking system in zombies.

So his "theory" (I put that in quotations because in his video he arrogantly insists everything he says is right and demands people subscribe to him) is that if you get your k/d ratio up and get to high rounds you will rank up. Well, that may be so... but in the process of doing those two things you're also going to be achieving a number of other things too. "Play well and you'll rank up" is pretty much what we already know. And he also says "other factors we don't know yet" So... basically he's saying "play well and do other stuff we're not sure of and you'll rank up"? Yeah, makes sense to me.
-
Interesting... as I said in another thread, my rank had dropped to a skull with 3 tallies. I played a solo game the other night where I went to round 31, did not down until the very end, and got around 25-30% headshots.... yet my rank did not change. Just now I got on, played till round 3 and got double-tapped by a zombie and died. Rank went up by one tally. What's weird, though, is my solo round 31 game is also not showing up in the Theater or my "Latest matches" on Elite... even though if I check my stats for Green Run it says my highest round is 31. I almost wonder if some games just glitch out and do not register for whatever reason... keeping us from ranking up when we should. It would actually explain a lot.

I have 172 revives, and currently a skull with 3 tallies. Also, there is already at least one thread about the ranking system right at the top of the forum... no need to start another one.

How to build the pack-a-punch machine on single player SOLO
Megaton A replied to patastinky's topic in TranZit
It's actually not necessary to drop down into the power bunker to put down your turbine and open the PaP bunker. You can set the turbine right outside the shed door there, and the power from it will reach. Good video, though. -
Petition To get Ranking System Info from Treyarch.
Megaton A replied to Jeager1999's topic in TranZit
I agree... I doubt they'll tell us anything. Hopefully I'm wrong. And Black Ops' "First Strike" DLC came out at the beginning of February... so I'm using that as a good timeframe for this one. Late Jan/early Feb, most likely. -
Yeah, it's just whiny, quitter kids. Tell you what, go back and find the ice cave in Call of the Dead for me. While you're at it, please find the continuation of the Ascension Easter egg that opens that door across from where the rocket launches? Come on... don't wanna be a whiny kid that gives up on things, do you? There is no more to Tranzit's Easter egg. Period. At least not until DLC is released. I have no problem with people who want to continue to look if they disagree with me because as long as they're having fun with the game, who am I to tell them to stop? But if you're going to start talking shit about people that realize the EE is over being "quitters and wining children" then I do have an issue with it. You can do your pointless searching without offending others.

Custom and Solo are both fine as long as it's online. I think you mean "public game" instead of "online multiplayer", which is what is confusing people. I have never played a public game and have gotten them.
