If you pay close attention, the bus actually does come around the back of the bus station at the beginning of the game.

Permanent Earnable Perks Proof and how to unlock them
Megaton A replied to blackfire561's topic in TranZit
I think I may have the stamina one, also. Haven't confirmed yet, but I have played a lot of zombies (530 hours in Black Ops alone, at least 3/4 of which was zombies... not to mention World at War and a hundred hours or so into BOII zombies) and it seems like I can sprint slightly longer than I should be able to. I'll try racing a friend as you did and see... I have a couple friends that have barely played Zombies and would definitely not have it unlocked yet. -
I just assumed there were zombies in the room to add a slight bit of challenge while picking up the wind turbine parts.
-
I have the skull with blue eyes. Never played Grief.
-
Umm no. I'm free to voice my opinion, just as you are. You're cool with mediocrity... that's fine. I paid $80 for this game purely for zombies, and I expect at least a map that adds on to what we've had in the past without completely abandoning things. Why were 3 perks replaced with 1 perk that can't even be used in solo, for instance? What happened to the Fire Sale? Why were we promised this huge map, when we're given a handful of tiny maps and a bunch of empty space? Why do the survival maps feel like an afterthought? Why are we STILL getting Easter Eggs that rely more on luck than skill if 3ARC is so awesome about listening to us? Did they not hear EVERYONE complaining about that in Moon? Yeah, there are some awesome new things in Green Run/Tranzit... but for every new thing that really innovates and feels like an upgrade, there's at least one thing that makes me say "WTF were they thinking??" Anyways, please refrain from telling me how I'm allowed to feel about the game or whether or not I can express my opinions on it.
-
No, I totally agree. Yeah, it's massive... but mostly empty space. With a few small areas to actually play in. I don't hate it as much as I originally did, but there is still a lot that disappoints me.

Tombstone- if you have this perk and you die, you will drop a tombstone power-up. When you re-spawn and pick the tombstone up, you get your perks (and I think your guns) back. I've never been able to use it, since I'm always the last one to go down on my team. I actually had to run a round in NDU once (my last zombie died) and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Granted, it was only about round 14... but still. I hated pretty much every "boss" zombie in Black Ops, but I'm cool with the electric thing. He can definitely turn things sour if he shows up at a bad time, but he can be handled with the right equipment too. He seems well balanced, I guess is my point. And I'm saying this after being killed by/because of him a few times.

Permanent Earnable Perks Proof and how to unlock them

So being able to revive quicker is useless because sometimes other people do the reviving? That's some logic, right there. That's like saying "Getting Juggernaut is useless because sometimes the zombies attack your teammates instead of you." I play 2 player co-op all the time, and having a quicker revive is FAR from useless. Especially since it stacks with the Quick Revive perk, which makes revives almost instantaneous. Having that unlocked has saved my ass countless times. The boards are less useful, but still... when you're holding down the bus on round 16, anything that slows the zombies from entering helps. The "Deadshot" or "Overkill" or whatever you want to call it, however, could be considered useless... but I see it as more of a fun cosmetic thing than anything. I really don't see how it effects your points since it's all but confirmed that all it does is make the heads pop when they die... although I swear it gives me more headshots while hipfiring... maybe I'm imagining things, though. -

Actually, some boards ARE steel, some are wood with steel along the edges. But no, they're not all 100% steel boards. I'm wondering if maybe you have to do it solo for it to save? Sounds weird, but I have it permanently and unlocked it in a solo game... my friend has unlocked it at least twice in custom co-op, and it hasn't saved yet for him. Or perhaps you need to be host? Not sure. -
Must have been another gun, then. It was the first night on Nuketown... so it's tough to say. I was PaP'ing random weapons multiple times to see what it would give me.
-
I did get a launcher attachment on one gun the third or fourth time I PaP'ed it. I want to say it was the HAMR, but I'm not 100% positive.

You think that's bad? Last night a friend and I got Richtofen's EE almost completely finished. We both had EMP grenades... we both had portals created, had one zombie running around, and just had to throw down EMPs, jump in the portals, throw down our other EMPS. We stood next to the portals and I said "Ok! On the count of thr-" and just then my friend gets booted from Live for a system update! I swear, I'll never get that EE finished. Never.
-
Yeah, I see zombies in hospital gowns and strait jackets everywhere.
-
I haven't had that happen.... but I did get lagged out of the bus during a solo game; -40qKhM6i7o
-
Slightly off-topic, but I never realized until the other day that you can use a turbine to open the garage door in the power room before power is fully activated. Dunno how many times I missed the bus waiting for that stupid door to open.
-
Yeah... kinda reminds me of the whole Firing Range thing in Black Ops. Plenty of evidence that the map related to Zombies, and would eventually have a Zombies map based around it.... yet it never happened. That said, I see no harm in a bit of fun speculation. The only time I have a problem with these kinds of discussions is when people start threads with titles like "Next map with be Paris! PROOF!!" and their "proof" is a bunch of speculation. Fortunately, I haven't seen those type of threads on this forum anywhere near as much as the CoD forums used to (and probably still do) have.

I really don't think it's necessary for Richtofen's EE either, though. I watched a walkthrough video of his EE where they didn't even mention that step (though they did have it built in the video). You don't have to fire the Jet Gun AT the table... you can fire it anywhere under the tower. I'm almost positive that if you tried Richtofen's EE without ever building the table it would work. Unfortunately, I already have it built and the EE unfinished. If anyone can test this I would be interested to see if I'm right. I really think I am, here.
-
Yeah, I saw that in a video earlier today.. I feel like it's going to lead to a fascinating discovery. I'd honestly be kind of surprised if it didn't. Why even put that ability into the game if there was no point to it? Unless it was just an unintended side effect of the Jet Gun's propulsion when firing that 3Arc either didn't realize, or just didn't bother to take out.

Has anyone ever notice that on the Diner sign it says "Now die" glowing. all the other letters are there but not glowing. maybe you have to sacrafice someone with tombstone somewhere in the area. or all hold grenades at the same time all with tombstone and maybe the round will end and everybody re spawns or something. maybe the "Now die" doesnt have anything to do with it. but just putting it out there. also the bus depot sign sometimes changes into "B S" or " US" Maybe that has something to deal with it too. doubt it though. too obvious.... There's also a sign in the town that says "MOON". I read a youtube comment claiming that there are now nvacards on Moon, but I haven't checked because, frankly, that sounds retarded and like a complete troll.

You know, this is usually my attitude regarding the maps and EEs too. Everyone went on about more steps to Ascension, I said no way. People kept talking about that Ice Cave in CotD... I said it didn't exist. Every map, people search and search for things that obviously aren't there, and I've always bee right when I said "No, that's it." But this is obviously different. The TV broadcasts were JUST discovered, and it's much more than a week after release. I'm still not ready to say "There's definitely more!", but I'm not 100% sure this time that there isn't. Things were still being discovered a couple days ago. Time will tell...
-
Also, keep in mind that he often will spawn in the area you are in, but not right by you. I'm not sure if he always spawns at the beginning of a round or not... but I know I have had him spawn at the beginning a few times, but he didn't actually make his way over to us until late in the round.
-
Supposedly you can "fly" with the Jet Gun also. By jumping off a high area (like a second floor) and firing it. Not sure if you could use this to get anywhere or not.
-
Yeah, it could mean we have done everything. I still find it odd that there is no use for the navcard reader (contrary to popular belief, I'm 90% certain it's not needed for the Richtofen EE) or the navcards themselves... and there's still that unused bus driver quote about a "new route"... but maybe it will come with DLC.
-
He can definitely spawn while under the tower. I was doing Richtofen's EE last night, and he spawned while I was under the tower killing zombies.
-
I can confirm this. Press Y/Triangle to change guns... your HUD comes up and you see the dot. It fades and the dot is gone. It's nothing of meaning.
