No no no! You mistook "excited" for "obnoxious". I wasn't trying to rub it in or anything at all. and yes, totally true that there was no markings of the cross on that first photo we got. sorry if my posts seemed obnoxious.
-
Trailer is removed by treyarch. Probably because they misspelled Nikolai's last name, http://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/callo ... linksi.jpg
-
well, no one but a treyarch zombies dev could help you out now in terms of "filling you in". our guess is as good as yours.

ahem hem... TEMPLAAAAAAARRRRRRRR AHOY. Are you disagreeing with him? Or not? Why do you post that image? You seem to imply that the meaning is inherent, but I don't understand your post. He's saying that the chainmail zombies were Teutonic, while I said they were Templar. He says there is no red/white cross, christian markings - the picture above confirms the red/white cross of the Templar (zombie to the right).
-
ahem hem... TEMPLAAAAAAARRRRRRRR AHOY. Plus it makes much more sense to be the Templar - why would a Teutonic Knight to be buried in France, and not Germany?

Added to OP. Apologies for missing this earlier (I saw some of you posted it here already, wanted to resize and whatnot): ------Letters from the Field - Nikolai's 2nd Letter & Action Pose-------------- 8/20 Larger picture ********** -------------------------------------------------- Battle of Tannenberg, eh?

hello thread. I like this.
-
notice how we didn't even get a glimpse of the zombie in the "big daddy" mech suit. really interested to find out what the deal is with it.
-
"my name's Samantha, I'm going to tell you how all this really began..." mind blown.

It's a joke - meaning that Treyarch gets their story ideas from us. This is why they don't release it on their own, they'd rather have community involvement.
-
Treyarch likes to outsource the story from the community. Here is a version for you to read: viewtopic.php?f=100&t=18279

For me, they always drop between 10-11am MST.

definitely looks middle ages era to me. the chainmail, the helmet. I'm quite hoping it ties into the Knights of the Templar, Freemasonry, and Illuminati.
-
MMX has made some fantastic observations in regards to what the purple color could mean, I'd highly suggest checking out his thread on Ethereal Energy.
-
yup I moved 'em together. hope that's okay with you guys! so is it purple eyes, or blue eyes? the TranZit blue eyes look MUUUCH different from this chainmail zombie. If it is indeed purple, I am very excite. Ethereal energy, vrill ya, power from another dimension - this map is shaping up to be uber epic. Yeah it definitely looks like it's in a tomb, also - Knights of the Templar aren't the Knights of the Round Table. There have been many connections to the Illuminati, and thus could tie back into the Knights of the Templar/Freemasonry. It's possible the Knights of the Templar could have been guarding an ancient evil, of course this is all just theory - but I wouldn't write it off so quick.
-
I also hope we can used that sweet Samurai sword of his I feel like they've given Takeo a certain "Johnny Depp" feel lol.
-
nice eye on the 935 sign. the zombie is wearing chainmail. I don't think it would be a viking, seeing as we're somewhere in France. I'm hoping this could be like a Knight of the Templar, or have some sort of connection to the Freemasons/Illuminati. edit: I merged 2 similar topics together into the thread that was created first. please use this thread for discussion of the picture of the chainmail zombie.
-
Thanks BEYOND! man, I can't keep up with all these amazing pictures I'm going to assemble them all under one section in the OP.

Awesome, thanks for posting this - Perfect. and yeah, looks purple to me. Ethereal energy, anyone?

The 1996 sign in Die Rise.
GRILL replied to TheRealMistyBriarton's topic in General Zombies Discussion
actually PINNAZ, IMO, you've come the closest to proving the date seeing as you've actually provided evidence. Just because you "refuse" to believe something doesn't mean you've disproven anything. It actually comes off a bit as bias because, most theorists who are aiming to prove something, are open to both sides and consider all of the information. PINNAZ provided you with several examples of evidence supporting the theory that Die Rise takes place after 1996 - and all you can argue back is about used textures for SDC soldiers? What about the Jin Mao tower? What about the Shanghai World Financial Center? What about the fridge that tells you weather conditions, traffic hazards, and other advanced features? Again, this is not to dissuade theory conversation - I simply am saying that to make such a statement as "Die Rise didn't happen post 1996 and I'm here to prove it" requires proof. Just that fact that 3arc started up in 1996 is not enough to refute in-game evidence, which we have mountains of. I'm not saying that we are right either. No body knows! PINNAZ said it best "round and round we go - nobody can prove a date". But I have to acknowledge his efforts because he actually did provide evidence. -
Thanks MMX - I'll add the transcript into the OP. I was having trouble deciphering "Muken/Mukden", thanks for that.
