The UNanswered Questions of BO2 Zombies
GRILL replied to Infected115's topic in General Zombies Discussion
great thread, infected - +1. when you get all of the unanswered questions in one place, they really start adding up! In the end, IMO, the biggest unanswered question of BO2 zombies: WHERE IS MY DEAR O4? -
are you sure you can't find it on: http://callofdutyzombies.com/vBulletin/forum.php I want to see this thread!

radical, thanks for the heads up Liam!

NAZI ZOMBIES: Albert 'The Editor' Arlington: The Ascendance
GRILL replied to Abel's topic in General Zombies Discussion
are you saying that Al has multiple personalities? Why would he write all of the negative comments on his own artwork? Doesn't make sense to me. -

NAZI ZOMBIES: Albert 'The Editor' Arlington: The Ascendance
GRILL replied to Abel's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Gentlemen, stop this flame war right now - or this thread will be locked. I think everyone has become a little flustered from the situation. Let me be clear: we are all equal on CoDZ, old members and new. Abel here is just trying to share his theory. I don't appreciate the slight insults he's directed at CoDZ, but I also don't like the insults being directed at PTG. Clearly both sides are passionate, so let's just leave it at that and continue discussing his theory. Please play nice, and treat each other with respect. -
very nice, Caffiene. I'd heard of him doing this - man this Big Guy has so many abilities! also, might I suggest you change the title of the thread to "drop" instead of "perk". I came in expecting to see him change a Perk-a-cola!

Thanks Misty! Isn't there a Roulette wheel in there? I'm honored! thanks for the heads up. hopefully this small tidbit can lead to more. I'm going to go in game and take a closer look at all of the components that make up the Resonator.
-
Do you think it would be acceptable to say "Mined Games Endgame" - because essentially it is the endgame for connecting the towers...
-
oh way, you so smooth. thanks for the tip, man.
-
Fair enough. Thanks! lol -------------------------------------------------------------- So the Thunder Gun in itself has enough technology to combine a Subsurface Resonator & a Turbine. Pretty cool. I wonder if the Thunder Gun could be used for mineral extraction as well...
-
is there an abbreviation for the Thundergun? It appears that I may be loopy from time travel as well.
-
oh I totally agree that it could be used for mining - and I think you were spot on in your comparison to high pressure water mining:
-
Thanks bagel_! We'll try and figure it out ASAP OOPS. I meant DG-4 (right? or am confused? I want it to be the Thundergun lol) and thanks! Wouldn't the resonation come from the shape of the barrel itself & the energy emitted from the device? The resonation that happens from the device through the earth & back would be a resonation of it's own, no?
-
this is unofficially officially an awesome guide. great job at pulling this together, working with the community, and staying on top of new finds - CG!
-
Thanks CG! There's still more to talk about in terms of DG3 comparisons, but I'm going to do some more research first.

Now that we've had some time to play "Buried", and have figured out most of the larger nuances - I believe it's time to move onto the smaller nuances. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Subsurface Resonator (a.k.a. the Primitive Thunder Gun, a.k.a. the Boombox*) ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Name & Possible Indications: Subsurface = of, relating to, or being something located beneath a surface and especially underground. Resonator = a hollow metallic container for producing microwaves, or a piezoelectric crystal put into oscillation by the oscillations of an outside source. Both parts of the name have very interesting individual meanings: "Subsurface" is rather interesting, it makes me think that at the time the was Boombox invented, the town in "Buried" may have already been underground. Obviously - this would mean the inventor has a sense of humour to an extent. Or perhaps this device had a deeper meaning, directly correlating with the fact that "Buried" IS underground (meaning that, maybe this device helped the town to GET underground). "Resonator" is what really brings some questions into the mix. First off, it uses microwaves - this would mean yet ANOTHER connection to Nikolai Tesla (as our dedicated member PINNAZ has vastly shown us). Second, the other definition involving a piezoelectric crystal instantly made me think of the orbs you must destroy WITH the Boombox: Basically, are these orbs piezoelectric crystals themselves? That is what I'm getting at. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Invention & Use of the Subsurface Resonator: To get the Boombox working, you must have a source of power. The source of power is the Turbine, the same Turbine found in Green Run. Therefore, the inventor of the Subsurface Resonator must have had a power source equal to the Turbine. So this must mean that the Subsurface Resonator was an invention after Faraday arrived in "Buried", and possibly an invention of his own. Without a proper power source, there is no way it could have been created. This, in turn, leads me to believe that most of the buildables are "post-Faraday's Arrival". The actual use of the Subsurface Resonator remains a mystery at this point, but as explained above, the inclusion of "subsurface" in the name does give us a guess or two. Considering that it was invented after Faraday arrived, it is possible that it was a tool used to extract minerals or substances from the ground. The resounding waves could simulate an earthquake on a small level, and yield precious resources emerging from the rock without pick nor shovel. It could also have been modeled off of echolocation. If miners were looking for diamonds or oil or whatever, they could use the Subsurface Resonator to essentially provide an "audio x-ray". If after turning it on, it resounds with a specific resonance - it could then help with calculating distances needed to mine. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Similarities to the Thunder Gun: The Thunder Gun is also a resonation device that harnesses electricity for raw power. It can be found in Kino Der Toten & Ascension for use (also in revamped NDU, & on display in Five). The strongest similarity is the blast itself: Resonator Blast (sorry I couldn't find a better quality comparison photo. will update with better photos): Basically, it's the circular nature of the blasts that makes this comparison so strong. True, they both have circular barrels - thus forming the emitting blasts into circles... but I'm quite interested in how these 2 weapons are connected. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thanks for reading y'all. If I've missed anything, please don't hesitate to let me know. Thread will be updated with video comparisons in the near future. *"primitive thunder gun" is my name for the Subsurface Resonator, it is in no way a correct nickname - but a nickname that serves the theory I put forth. "boombox" is another nickname I use.

I made a thread on this in Die Rise, but I see no harm in having it in GZ as well. Here's what we were able to deduce: Die Rise to TranZit: AN94 (or Actuated Neutralizer 94000) --------------> Galil (or Lamentation) PDW (or Predictive Death Wish 57000) --------------> Chicom (or Chicom Cataclismic Quadruple Burst) SVU (or Shadowy Veil Utilizer) --------------> FAL (or WN) Items that will NOT go intro the fridge: Sliquifier Jet Gun m1911 Ballistic Knives Ray Gun Ray Gun MKII ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Be Ye Warned:

Thanks, Jason. Well now we have this AND the galvaknuckles. Yes, Reznov is probably one if the most mysterious/interesting characters in 3arc history. "Reznovs Revenge", Reznov being in the Phrryic Victory mission, I really hope the curtain gets drawn back a little on him and his TRUE involvement (and if he even existed after WaW)
-
very compelling reasons indeed, Jason Lives. ESPECIALLY #7 but in all seriousness, I'm quite interested to try and study the "earth map" a little more (now looking out for the Super Continent"). Thanks PINNAZ! here is the didgeridoo sound that we're talking about: e2H539AlGu4

awesome awesome job on this BS. wow man that seriously is some handy tramplesteam-ing. should help out a lot of people trying to get that 'cheevo. lol to get ALL the way down there, and have that happen must have been semi-heartbreaking. Regardless, the strategy is great.

There are 8 Primary Plates across the world. 1. African Plate 2. Antarctic Plate 3. Australian Plate 4. Eurasian Plate 5. Indian Plate 6. North American Plate 7. Pacific Plate 8. South American Plate Why Australia? We don't see any aborigines. We did heard a didgeridoo in MotD (but I assume 3arc was just getting native americans and native aborigines confused ). I agree with you that the missiles are what caused the plates to shift. But the Western town just really throws a wrench in everything. How would a town just get picked up and shoved underground half a world away? Perhaps it experienced one of the same teleporting tornadoes that picked Shangri La up? Really is a head scratcher...

AWESOME find, BS. +1. I must check this out.
