  1. @Nightmare Voyager @TimelordAlex @InfestLithium I would say it is an Alternate Dimension version like The Giant is to Der Riese. They showed an alternate Der Riese loading screen in the DICE conference & what do you know? We got The Giant The Moon in The Giant doesn't show the 5 Orange lights (Griffin Station) which are on every map that has the Moon (excluding Nacht) meaning that Richtofen had not yet built Griffin Station. This is also illustrated on the Moon Loading screen from the Zombies History video showing no Griffin Station. But that does not mean that the MPD is not on the Moon. It could still be there. Or there is some type of Device similar to the MPD in Griffin Castle which houses "The Frozen One" (Amelia?) just like Samantha being frozen in the MPD. ( @TimelordAlex I'm hoping there's a No Mans Land style Spawn area in the town where you start & have to catch the Cable Car to the Castle)
  2. I wonder if "The Frozen One" is "Amelia" (Kino Der Toten Wall writing) I'm still waiting for her to be included in the story. I think that would be pretty cool.
  3. @Spider3000 I actually haven't heard that before but that's exactly what I was just thinking. It looks like an image of the Moon Spacewalk? I spent 5 minutes trying to find the image but gave up & couldn't be bothered.
  4. So I saw @Difntel tweet this & I thought "It's possible?" I think that's pretty good thinking. Could the Origins Jump Scare be "The Frozen One" = Emelia ?
  5. So I managed to get "The Giant" Pack-a-Punch Camo texture. (It's only a 256x256 image though) On it you can see ~ The Iron Cross Nucleus symbol Roman Numerals that = 9 3 5 A Crazy Monkey Bomb Head CMXXXV = 9 3 5 Close up screenshots Der Riese Pack-a-Punch Camo Texture for comparison
  6. Call of Duty ANZ have tweeted out this ~ GRIFFIN CASTLE? Now this is the Australian/New Zealand COD but......Very Coincidental name there
  7. TBT~ http://codzombies.forum0.net/t4-shi-no-numa-storyline

Look at the info in this thread from @carbonfibah back in the day of Shi No Numa. He was pretty much on the money for alot of things!

    1. Abel!

      Abel!

Red Menace is believed to be Nikolai's alter ego, though I really disregarded it as anything important during the time. But with the Red Scarf everyone has been raving about, maybe it's not something we should be looking too far into. The red scarf may just be Nikolai, eventually amounting as the Red Menace in WW2, showing his true colors for his own little revolution against the communist party. He did drive a slow rage going through many Wives that were affiliated with the communist party,  killing the next men in line...

Or has this been established? If so then it's not really a big deal. It serves as a throw back.

  8. Bastards!! There was a blog on the old World at War Headquarters Webpage that had the Character Bio's on it. And guess what, the majority of these key words are different. I had copied the webpage word for word & put them in my Zombies Library folder. (I thought the ingame Bios had been removed, but you can only see them if you go into a online game.) Here is the wayback machine link to the old WaW HQ Webpage ~ http://web.archive.org/web/20150507052203/https://community.callofduty.com/community/call_of_duty/english/world_at_war/blog/2011/10/17/shi-no-numa-character-bios Or here (need to scroll down) http://web.archive.org/web/20111112235329/http://community.callofduty.com/community/call_of_duty/english/worldatwar?view=blog#/?page=5 And this is the text copied from it ~ You won't get that hidden message if you use this text. One thing I did realise is that the ingame Bio's don't mention alot of information that is shown on the webpage - Nikolai doesn't mention anything about him being a politician Ingame Bio doesn't say anything about Takeo having “Life is light when compared to honor” Tattooed on the inside of his eyelids? Richtofen is not described as being a "back alley plastic surgeon" & almost a whole paragraph is missing. Using the webpage Bio's, these are the Capital letters for the start of each sentence. (It almost looks like the MotD cipher! I'm not saying it is though) TGCDHETTL SFHBHLAAW TFHTHTWTI BTSMTBTTHATH I would love to find a screenshot from the ingame Bios from back in the day to see if this has been changed at all??? @Tac EDIT ~ I found what looked to be old screenshots of the ingame Bio's & they look to be the same as they are now, so it seems that the WaW HQ Blog is a little different to what they actually say ingame.
  9. Thanks @Tac Info has been added. It is amazing that the first information that we were given about these 4 characters had a hidden message that stayed that way for almost 6 years. Shi No Numa released in June 2009, this message found in January 2016! Props to those that found this. 10. Nice post @Ragdo11706 I would love for an upgrade to be found "naturally", to throw it back in the face of the script miners. Like why even play the game if you going to read the code in the first week of release? Why play if your going to sit in a glitch? Though, 1 thing in that code stands out to me - scr_wasp_health_walk_multiplier Is there a points bonus for 100% accurately killing all the Parasites? That would be a fucking challenge to do. (Like in Die Rise you get a points bonus & Perk Drop for 100% accuracy for killing the Jumping Jacks?) Brains to you & good luck!
  11. Theatre mode glitches out the colours when you skip forward or backwards. But if you use the fast forward button all colours will remain as they should. Though it takes ages to get to where you want to. I wonder if the purpose of the Red drops are like the red drops in BO2?
  12. I haven't seen many people in the Zombs community talk about this & it's an awesome Easter Egg that Treyarch put into The Giant. This probably won't be story related at all but it also has a connection to Der Eisendrache (Watch the 3 minute video) The Der Riese Gold Train https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nazi_gold_train Found through the window in the tunnel next to Teleporter Z-C is a recently discovered (Allegedly in real life) Nazi Gold Train The so-called Nazi gold train and Wałbrzych gold train concerns a local legend of up to three Nazi German-era trains buried underground in Lower Silesia in January 1945 toward the end of World War II. The area is now part of southwest Poland, but was then part of southeast Germany. The train(s) are believed to be near the Polish city of Wałbrzych, which until 1945 was the German city of Waldenburg. According to local legend, the train or trains left Breslau (now Wrocław) laden with gold and other treasures. They were driven into a system of tunnels under the Owl Mountains that were part of an unfinished Nazi secret Project Riese (German for "giant") near Wałbrzych. There they were buried in a warren of tunnels and mines created by the Nazis. The train(s) are rumored to hold up to 300 tons of gold, jewels, weapons, and masterpieces. According to historians, it has never been proven the train(s) ever existed. In Poland's Communist era, the Polish army carried out fruitless searches. And this thread isn't finished, because here is a freakin' cool link to Der Eisendrache Hungarian Gold Train https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hungarian_Gold_Train The Hungarian Gold Train was the German-operated train during World War II that carried stolen valuables, mostly Hungarian Jewish persons' property, from Hungary towards Berlin in 1945. After American forces seized the train in Austria, almost none of the valuables were returned to Hungary, their rightful owners, or their surviving family members. In late 1944, the Soviet Army was advancing on the Hungarian capital of Budapest. A government official appointed by the Schutzstaffel (SS), Árpád Toldi, concocted a plan to evacuate much of the Jewish loot out of Hungary. Toldi ordered large amounts of the valuables onto a 42-car freight train that was to head for Germany. As the train meandered throughout Hungary and Austria, it stopped occasionally to transfer a great amount of the gold to trucks. The fate of the gold on those trucks remains unknown. In Austria, the train was eventually seized by Allied troops, first by the French Army and then finally by the United States Army near the town of Werfen in May, 1945. This train was seized in the Austrian town of Werfen. The town where Hohenwerfen Castle is, the location for Der Eisendrache Treasure Trains in both Breslau (The Giant) & Werfen (Der Eisendrache)!!!
  13. I think this Robot & The Giant's Robot are just aesthetics showing its a continuation of the events of Origins. (WW1 aftermath) "A German Robot was storming Der Eisendrache but fell to the Fortress" But I also have an idea that the Castle was one of Maxis' main bases (during WW2?) Der Eisendrache's church could be the Control Centre which uses the Beacon to Extract the crew. @Cheesegrater28 I was thinking that a small section of the town would be the starting area & you have to catch the Cable Car to the Castle. Kind of like Moon. Could this map start as "No Mans Land 2"!!!! @Chopper
  14. Awesome eyes by @MrRoflWaffles
  15. OP Updated with the following Now that the preview trailer has shown the map, a few areas & things are similar. I wonder what other types of history of the castle are in the map? (The Sound of Music?) Cable Car "Where Eagles Dare" Movie Filming The Castle – Hohenwerfen Castle, Werfen, Austria; filmed in January 1968 Cable Car – Feuerkogel Seilbahn at Ebensee (Austria); filmed in January 1968 Where Eagles Dare is a British 1968 World War II action film starring Richard Burton, Clint Eastwood, and Mary Ure. It was directed by Brian G. Hutton and shot on location in Austria and Bavaria. Hohenwerfen was used as the castle 'Schloss Adler' in the 1968 film Where Eagles Dare, although the cable car scenes were filmed using the Feuerkogel-Drahtseilbahn in Ebensee as Hohenwerfen Castle has no cable car. "Bell & Clock Tower" Arsenal Staircase Church First Gate
  16. I only just realised the full title of DLC1 is ~ Awakening the Iron Dragon!

    HA! Slow

  17. Good discussion here with some cool story links. The quote about the "Blacksmith from the Old West" making the "Modern Day" Pack-a-Punch should be definetly linked to the Blacksmiths shop in Buried. Interesting story link there. There is also quotes about the Gobble Gum machine being invented in America. With that, we can also assume that Dr Monty is also responsible for creating the Perk-a-Cola machines. as we see the perk bottles in his factory. As for the the origin of the Pack-a-Punch, let's look at the Origins Machine. I can't quote exactly, but there are multiple character quotes regarding its history. We have to power the 115 Generators to put the "Ancient Stones" back together. So it requires a lot of 115. I have been thinking that the Origins Pack-a-Punch Machine was created by "The Ancient Order of the Keepers". And the Shadows of Evil Pack-a-Punch Machine was created by the "Apothicons" The "Modern Day" Pack-a-Punch Machine was created by the "Blacksmith from the Old West"
  18. Nice work @Nightmare Voyager I've got a feeling this scene shows the Dragon (Breathe) what ever that may be in the left corner?? The explosion effect.....
  19. How could I forget Maxis!!! All of the name spelling above is featured in this game, one way or another. There are contradictions from Pictures, images, textures, objects, Terminal Files, subtitles, etc. No. Just like the Kino intro cinematic (if you have subtitles on), Richtofen is spelt "Richtofan". It is also spelt this way for some the Sound files ~ vox_plr_3_egg_port_richtofan_0 That quote refers to a player looking at his portrait in both Kino & Five. So both maps in a 'Shipped' version of the game are spelt that way. Name spelling contradictions are all through this game. (It's better just to move on)
  20. Richtofen or Richtofan... Gersch or Gersh... Der Riese or Der Reise... "Find out in the next episode (argh, no you won't}"
  21. I think the 'p' is prevelant in 2 of the phonecalls. Rapt could be short for Rapture. I can't see that anyone named 'Rat' could be taken seriously as an employer. Haha. But the Ruby Rabbit sign is also a throw off. Will we ever find out the correct name? (I swear the audio in that video is ripped straight from my Phonecalls Video?)
  22. As for the songs, it depends what order you activate the old time radios if you get lyrics or the instrumental.
  23. It is apparent that the Black Ops III: DLC 1 Awakening - Zombies map is influenced & takes place at an Austrian Castle known as Hohenwerfen Fortress The Shadows of Evil Paper Scrap picture has map Co-Ordinates that land almost on this location. Check out this thread by @BlindBusDrivr for further illustration ~ http://www.callofdutyzombies.com/topic/180589-der-eisendrachen-location-hohenwerfen-castle/ OR Hohenwerfen Fortress
  24. @steviewonder87 Think of earlier times. The story is going backwards in time. Just look at what people thought & called the first plane or a meteor etc. If Iron Kite did refer to a rocket, it's a great play on words.
  25. @Slade @Hells Warrrior I can understand Treyarch using "Der Eisendrachen" as a play on both terms - The Iron Dragon & Iron Kite (depending on the genitiv form). I can see Treyarch using this word to describe both things - Kite = Rocket Dragon = Rocket But why would they change it? Is it just a misprint like Nikolai's name was in the Origins Trailer or a clarification? The actual image I thought was changed too, but comparing both, the first one's edges were just cut off. You can see in the original that the Rockets 'Boom Gantry" has fallen. Aswell as there seems to be a Pyramid between the two castle towers which I didn't notice in the first pic. But both promo images are the same.
