  1. Haha, oopps. just search for sagethumbs. Good program for .dds files. Cheers mate.
  2. Good stuff Nathan. @ Mix, I use sagethumbs. It can preview the .dds files as thumbnails, right click on the picture & it converts then to .bmp, JPEG, or png files. I also use PAINT.net to open the .dds image files. You then edit & do whatever you want to them. It also has more options for file conversion. PAINT.net - http://www.getpaint.net Both programs are freeware, small & so simple to use & install
  3. Maybe additional letter structures should be banned too. i.e. - kitc, chen, itc, tch. Would that work? Upper & lower case would be an issue. Phone Call to Rossendale Designs Uber **** please report this topic, post **** Spammers Telephone Call to The Uber Rossendale **** please report this topic, post **** Spammers... Uber Kitchens, who were set up by Vance Miller (search YouTube for a look at him) are not only content with scamming and ripping people off with dodgy kitchens but they also ruthlessley spam internet forums, blogs and sites with their spam adverts. They go by a few names including Interior Home Designs of Rossendale, Uber kitchens and Kitchens Uber to name a few. Google is awash with horror stories of this scamming UK kitchens company and forums are littered with their junk spamming posts.
  4. So very true. It is SO rare, when people get it they make a big song and dance about it, and in public lobbies I can see randoms leaving if they lost it for sure. "You better revive me or I am leaving. It was your fault I died. This is bullshit man" "Dude! I had the Mark II there... Why didn't you revive me? F*cking noob!" XXXXXXXX HAS TIMED OUT "REVIVE ME BRO, I HAZ RAYGUN... MARK II
  5. Haha 8-) I was hoping you would block the word "K*****n" There is a thread in the off topic section. "KITCHENS in the UK!!!" Classic. That has to be one of the best posts ever. Cheers Alpha. So many people will loose there sh*t when they see the title of threads.
  6. The Gameplay Mechanic features. The features of gameplay really stood out for me. From using Buildables, the addition of different style weapons not just a gun or a wünderwaffe from the box, Building the Jet Gun & sliquifier, the Spork, Retriever/redeemer. Trample steam & subsonic resonator, to "HIM & "the Big Guy", so many additions of individualization. The maps are so very different, though I wish there were more maps like Survival - Town. Small fast paced maps that I can have fun for an hour just spraying Zombies instead of taking a generation just to get setup. But my stand-out feature would be the colours & animations that we're put into Black Ops II. Such beautiful looking maps. I feel like they really tried to step up on these gameplay features & lift the bar of the gameplay rather than just running circles with a Pack-a-Punched Gun. (Which contradicts my last paragraph) Though they left out a lot of hard to find storyline as per previous games & instead spoon fed us with cinematic videos, Treyarch chose to improve gameplay rather than the hidden story a lot of us expected. (Though the story is somehow more complicated because some things were never built upon, maybe in the next game this will be explained.) PINNAZ Rating - Black Ops II: Zombies - 6/10 Improved/implemented on some things, and sadly lacked on implementing things which could have been a step above any other COD: Zombies title.
  7. Wow, Rest in peace Yote. You are a legend. Slayer. Thoughts to the friends & family.
  8. ...…..........Nothing to see here....... You guys jinxed it by saying I jinxed it. Man......there's lots of repeat topics about k***hens that could be merged together mods. (Haha) So many people talking about k***hens in the off season!
  9. I think that would be a really cool feature, not only will the Camo of the skin change, but the animation of the kills is customized too. I like MegaAfroMan's idea of doing it within the "Crazy Place" But also agree with MMX, that the skin camo is to show the element 115 properties of the weapon. Cool idea though minator.
  10. No, that is the Electric Cherry Jingle. The Pack-a-Punch doesn't seem to play any music at all, it only makes a noise from the wheels turning. Here is a 25 second video I recorded of the sound. The Jingle starts after I drink the Perk. All of the Perks-a-Cola also have this generic sound loop (below). It's hard to make out what it is. Whispering or something. [soundcloud] [/soundcloud]
  11. Ok, here is an experiment for someone. Play maps to high rounds & get kills with items that don't register kills - i.e. Mob of the Dead Acid Traps, etc Do you need to get to certain number of rounds on different maps? Or can you just play a single map over & over? This would confirm if a Kill/Death ratio has any effect on the ranking system. I played 5 or 6 games in a row making it to round 50-60 on buried, my rank picture is still at skull. These games had 5000-7000 kills with only 1 or 2 downs. Sadly my k/d ratio is around 60, just short of the suspected 70? for the Skull with knife emblem. I think it has many factors, no downs before round 20, made it to round 30 etc, but a member here by the name of "Binsys" has confirmed that you can rank up in grief only. There is a topic in the grief forum. Here is his Topic -http://www.callofdutyzombies.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=137&t=33098
  12. It does actually, though we don't know what the original Electric Cherry Jingle sounds like, you can make out what the other Perk-a-Cola Jingles sound like. Here they are, Mob of the Dead, Perk-a-Cola Jingles Electric Cherry [soundcloud][/soundcloud] Jugger-Nog [soundcloud][/soundcloud] Double-Tap Root Beer [soundcloud][/soundcloud] Mulekick [soundcloud][/soundcloud] Phd Flopper [soundcloud][/soundcloud] Speed Cola [soundcloud][/soundcloud] Deadshot Daiquiri [soundcloud][/soundcloud] I think that's all of them?
  13. I couldn't agree more. The game has concluded & has nearly been out a full year. The ranking system is pointless anyway, all it is, is an emblem. But to contradict myself here, why won't Treyarch release some type of information on how it is achieved. It is a pointless gimmick that has a lot of people in the community pulling there hair out. There is no need for this to be a mystery. I like all of the stat tracking, but the MP leveling system would be so much better. At least you get some type of reward for being dedicated & playing this game so much. @ Mr Lithium. I agree completely.

This is the only explosive quote I can find that sounds similar. He says "We may be able to setup a defensive perimeter" File Name - vox_plr_2_wpck_explo_d_3 [soundcloud][/soundcloud]
  15. (I should strike out/edit some of my previous post) There are actually 4 scenarios. All characters start in Afterlife, therefore all characters are already dead, they are ghosts. If you do absolutely nothing in afterlife when the game begins, you get a 4th ending, this is what I think would be the "real" scenario, this would be the scenario that Ferguson is talking about in the audio tapes. Icarus was never built, the characters killed Weasel on the roof & then they were executed by electric chair and mob of the Dead never takes place. And then there are the 3 other scenarios that I mentioned previously. If Weasel kills the other 3, he breaks his own torture cycle. He escapes purgatory. That's all. He was already dead to begin with.
  16. There are three different scenario's. - Weasel was killed by the other three & the other three were executed, Ferguson retires as a guard. - Weasel kills Ferguson & Weasel was killed by the other three. - Weasel kills Ferguson, Weasel kills Finn, Sal & Billy (& lives happily ever after? Jokes, who knows. This would be where your theory comes in) Just like with the other Black Ops II maps, there are (possibly) 3 scenarios. - You obey Maxis - You obey Richtofen - You don't obey either & are killed by Zombies, resurrected until you complete one of the previous points. And Origins would be like every other Zombies map, you either complete the side quest (somehow/assumed to travel to the next map), or die & are resurrected like every other Zombies map. Depending on what happens that particular game. This would be YOUR storyline arc. Choose your own adventure. That's my take on it anyway.
  17. Boom is correct, they are the Perk Jingles. There are a few different Jingles, they all sound very similar, would this be the sound you hear? [soundcloud][/soundcloud]
  18. Another quality post yourmapper! I think thats a pretty cool, especially the picture. I haven't watched Evil Dead in ages and in not sure if I've even seen ED2? Good stuff mate
  19. Awesome thread Mix. So much information & so many similarities/inspirations in the map. I have always wondered what this "Jail Cell" was. The real picture even shows the seat/toilet? that the monkeys are sitting on. You have solved this mystery for me. Ascension Monkeys
  20. @ Rissole, I never knew you played either, We should stream a Jam sometime! I'm not to sure what to make of the "finality" comment? @ Boom, All 3 main sound guys are heavily involved in the Zombie storyline; Kevin Sherwoods song lyrics are obviously linked to the story; Brian Tuey has been giving storyline hints/help since Nacht Der Untoten was released. Here is his old blog - http://briantuey.blogspot.com.au/; & Colin, well, he is the Zombie Announcer! Colin also has written/writes alot of the original scripted character quotes. They are not just sound guys, all three have been there from the start.
  21. I find this interesting & whilst I don't know the answer, it may have been (like MMX said) a game on "Easy" difficulty. I have never played easy mode, so I don't know if these quotes are actually triggered in game or if they are from Grief or Turned? but the description seems to fit the easy mode? I hope this helps. 22. Being a drummer, I just had to post this. Treyarch's Senior Sound Designer, Kevin Sherwood (@KSherwoodOPS) talks about the team's collaboration with Darren Cesca (@DarrenCesca), and what it was like to bring his Extreme Metal drumming prowess to the recording of "Archangel" for the Zombies experience, Origins. Sherwood and Cesca collaborated virtually: Sherwood on the west coast and Cesca on the east coast, recording his tracks at the House of Grind.
  23. "The Staff of the Ancients" The original four are the ancients. I still think the story will involve the 'Holy Grail' or "Lapis Elixir" - a great precious stone that fell from the sky.
  24. Here is the "Secret Song" section from a project I'm working on. This is the list of songs in Nacht Der Untoten - World at War. It also includes a blog post from Treyarch's Audio Director; Brian Tuey, with some backstory. Also, there are 8 Red explosive barrels in the Black Ops version to activate "Undone" Cool thread too.
  25. I apologize in advance for not being on topic, but this post is mainly directed at AlphaSnake. I didn't want to create a thread, so I thought this was the best place based on the following quote. These are some of things that Iv'e been looking into . Most of this can be found from hints in Buried. I actually started backtracking from the "Black Sun Symbol" & came across most of this before Origins came out, but I thought I was way off the mark. Links are in the title's. Jacob Grimm - Teutonic Mythology Runes Runestone Poetic Edda Prose Edda Yggdrasil - Grimm's Fairy Tales has a single tree on the cover Rosslyn Chapel Tacitus These next links must have a lot to do with where we are going. Christian Rosenkreuz Rosicrucianism Ancient Mystical Order Rosae Crucis Rosenkreuz's crypt, according to the description presented in the legend, seems to be located in the interior parts of the Earth, recalling the alchemical motto VITRIOL: "Visita Interiora Terrae Rectificando Invenies Occultum Lapidem ("Visit the Interior Parts of the Earth; by Rectification Thou Shalt Find the Hidden Stone.") The metaphorical nature of these legends lends a nebulous quality to the origins of Rosicrucianism. The opening of Rosenkreuz's tomb is thought to be a way of referring to the cycles in nature and to cosmic events; and as well, to the opening of new possibilities for mankind consequent on the advances of the 16th and early 17th centuries. Similarly, Rosenkreuz's pilgrimage seems to refer to the transmutation steps of the Great Work. Similar legends may be found in Wolfram von Eschenbach's description of the Holy Grail as the "Lapis Exillis", guarded by the Knights Templar, or in the Philosophers' stone of the alchemists, the "Lapis Elixir". Philosopher's stone The theoretical roots outlining the stone’s creation can be traced to Greek philosophy. Alchemists later used the Classical elements, the concept of anima mundi, and Creation stories presented in texts like Plato’s Timaeus as analogies for their process. According to Plato, the four elements are derived from a common source or prima materia (first matter), associated with chaos. Prima materia is also the name alchemists assign to the starting ingredient for the creation of the philosopher’s stone. The importance of this philosophical first matter persisted through the history of alchemy. In the seventeenth century, Thomas Vaughan writes, “the first matter of the stone is the very same with the first matter of all things”. Prima materia Prima materia, materia prima or first matter, is the ubiquitous starting material required for the alchemical magnum opus and the creation of the philosopher's stone. It is the primitive formless base of all matter similar to chaos, the quintessence, or aether. Alchemical emblem depicting the omnipresence of the philosophical matter. "The Stone that is Mercury, is cast upon the Earth, exalted on Mountains, resides in the Air, and is nourished in the Waters." PRIMIS = FIRST Chaos (cosmogony) Chaos (Greek χάος, khaos) refers to the formless or void state preceding the creation of the universe or cosmos in the Greek creation myths, more specifically the initial "gap" created by the original separation of heaven and earth. Some people that relate to Zombies associated with Rosicrucian Edward Bulwer-Lytton - First mention of the Vril-ya Michael Faraday - His Picture is found multiple times in Buried Pigpen cipher The pigpen cipher (sometimes referred to as the masonic cipher, Freemason's cipher, Rosicrucian cipher, or Tic-tac-toe cipher) Cipher in Buried Leon Battista Alberti Alberti was active in Italian Freemasonry. This led him into a relationship with the Knights Templar that remains unclear. Historians speculate that he designed the Templar Cipher Disk and taught the Knights how to use it to secure their clandestine communications. Both devices work using the same principals. Alberti cipher disk - Notice the use of "Runic letters" aswell After Starting the Side Quest in Origins & in "Zombie Blood", you will see the "Runic" writings hinting at which Staff should go in which holder MrRoflWaffles decoded Origins Ciphers Thread Search for Agartha & Rosicrucian Order (Order of the Rose Cross) Most things I search for always come back to - Esotericism (Examples of esoteric religious movements and philosophies include Alchemy, Astrology, Anthroposophy, early Christian Mysticism, Freemasonry, Gnosticism, Kabbalah, Neoplatonism, Magic, Merkabah mysticism, Mesmerism, Rosicrucianism, Taoism, Numerology, Swedenborgianism, Spiritualism, the Alawites, the Theosophy of Jacob Böhme and his followers, and the Theosophical revivalist movement associated with Helena Blavatsky.) - Theosophy - Theology - Helena Blavatsky I think these are the underlying lesson in Zombies. That will do for now.
