  1. Do you really think its only Takeo? I wouldn't imagine so. But because when we did the EE together, you guys were trying to get Zombie Blood & couldnt see the fallen pilot. I then joined & I was Takeo. I accidentally walked into a Zombie Blood drop. I ran anti clockwise & killed 1 Zombie (with an MP40 I think?). I couldn't tell if that was him or not. But then Naitrax stumbled on the Maxis Drone. This makes me wonder if Takeo is really needed? I wouldn't imagine so. I hope that theatre film will play as it wouldn't yesterday.
  2. I been playing a bit of solo & the characters have some interesting dialogue. At the start Dempsey says something like he was sent to rescue Richtofen & hasn't located the other Doctor. His intel seems to be correct. I'll try to get some of my gameplay transcribed. I have also heard what you are saying about Richtofen & Sam. My last game yesterday went for about 1&1/2 hours, I was Richtofen & managed to do all 4 challenges, build 2 staffs etc. there was lots of audio between Sam & Richtofen. I'll report back with some soundcloud audio when I can.
  3. Never thought I'd say this, but Stamin-up is my second Perk (3rd on solo) after Jugg. A high priority. You can just waltz around and play in the mud. Stamin-up makes this map a whole lot easier. You can do some circle work & round up the hoards, turn, shoot & rack up a lot of points. I also have been using Mule Kick so that you can have 2 guns & a Staff. Solo my Perks choices are - Quick Revive Jugg Stamin-up Mule Kick Gun choices can vary, you can collect the 2 free Pack-a-Punched guns (Collect 4 yellow discs with Maxis Drone & fill up the 4 chest challenge)
  4. Now that Origins has released & Black Ops II has come to a close, I thought I'd bump this thread back for people to see the Epic Mega thread that was the countdown to BOII. The nostalgia of the Trailers & Bus Deliveries.....This thread kept was the heartbeat of CoDz in the lead up to BOII. We may all have mixed feelings about BOII Zombies, but they sure made great gameplay additions.
  5. Well my idea that the patterns had something to do with the moon didn't really eventuate, but the hint in Buried with The book "Grimms Fairy Tales" (which lead me to the Megaliths aswell) sure was worth researching. Researching Jacob Grimm took me from the true meaning of the "Black Sun Symbol" (= the Sun Wheel), right back through to Norse Mythology. And along the way I also came across "The Futhark". Not only are the Giants named after Norse Gods - Odin, Thor & Freya, if you go into the Giants using Zombie Blood you will see Futhark writing which tells you which staff to put into each Giant. (Props to Silver_is_Pro for showing me this) This writing says WIND The 'F' symbol is also shown on the rewards box. Though I included a small section of this in my original post, I thought I was way off the mark. I love it when you look into some small hints in Zombies & it is actually incorporated in the next map!
  6. Very well said there PaulOfTheDead. I think this sums it up perfectly A kids kids story that is "nonsense & Full if loose ends" - Perfect storyline. The only thing that bugs me about this metaphor of an ending, are all the conspiracy theories, complicated riddles, Richtofen's sexual perversions & of course, all of the SWEARING!!! The contents & depth of COD Zombies is not a 10 year olds mind. To write all of this off as a kids game is abit low & unimaginative, but I can accept this as just quality story & gameplay concepts that needed to be included to market this game as entertainment to a wide audience. Overall, Treyarch are Genius! They have made a typical "Gun Game" truly educational, the things I have learnt over the last 4 or 5 years from COD Zombies is phenonemal. The history, the injustice, the conspiracies, the list is endless. I have also befriended some great people on this site whom I'd like to meet some day, somehow. So thank you Carbonfibah & the many other fans of this great game who frequent this site & have been emerged in the best story never told. But this story hasn't finished, this is a very successful franchise & with that comes income. It's not over yet, I'm sure that there will be more Zombies to slay in the future. Call of Duty: Zombies is an Educational Video Game, if you want it to be.
  7. I lost my sh*t when I found out the Giants had Norse Mythology names. Here is a wiki link to Freya http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freyja I started to write a massive thread which took me from the "Black Sun" symbol through to Norse Mythology & to "Odin, Thor & Hel" who all lived in "ASGARD". I was thinking that Agartha may possibly be Asgard. I ended up using only a small portion of my original thread to make "Megaliths, Tombs & Archaeoastronomy". Check the last 3 spoiler boxes in that thread. http://www.callofdutyzombies.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=155&t=35039 I came across this from the book in "Buried - Grimms Fairy Tales". I started looking at the author Jacob Grimm. He wrote a book called "Deutsche Mythologie". He writes about Odin, Thor & Giants! (Among many other things) Odin & his 2 brothers kill "Ymir" (The Giant) whose body creates the world. Ymir http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ymir If you are interested, have a look at "The Poetic Edda & Prose Edda". I think a lot of the story in Origins reflects Norse Mythology. This had heavy influence on Nazi Mythology & can be the original link for the Black Sun Symbol. Externsteine is a considered to be a natural Megalith structure. In German mythology it was believed to hold great treasures. Maxis also talks about runes which is are letters in an alphabet which are also written on stones = Runestones. Another thing to look at is Elder Futhark & Younger Futhark, which is an alphabet. All of this links with one another Sorry if this post doesn't make any sense, my actual thread with all this was massive. The things you can learn from researching influences in the Zombie Storyline. ;)
  8. Found the picture below in "Origins" & created a thread in that forum. Link to thread HERE ==================== In the starting room there is a map that shows the locations of the Power Generators along with pictures & details of what each part is. Also on this wall is a picture of the machine that features on the Nuketown Loading Screen! This machine is actually a "115 Extraction Drill". 115 Extraction Drill Text on picture Body Coupling Clutch Stabilizer Drill Head Drill Section 115 Extraction Drill

You can find the Nuketown Loading Screen discussion HERE (one of my favourite threads)
  10. Here is a map that might be useful to add the locations of different things. Perk Machines, Buildable & Staff pieces, Tank location, spots where the giant robot stands, etc. If someone wants to add these locations (possibly a different map for each specific purpose?, feel free to edit & repost. Click the image for large size picture (1024x733 pixels)
  11. Could very well be. Good observation.

If you want to know how to use all of the coding here on CoDz, check out Shooters - Formatting BBCode 101 thread, found in the Members Lounge Forum. (or the link below) http://www.callofdutyzombies.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=93&t=22624 This will show you how to do everything from using spoiler tabs, adding pictures & videos etc, etc. Good luck
  13. Congrats on 2000 posts Rissole. It's a pity that we have different consoles, otherwise I could play with someone that's not about to turn off cause its 4am. (looking at you way & Infest) You've made me feel welcome to join in the conversations here. Your Nuketown Loading screen thread was one of my favourite threads when I first joined. There were so many cool posts going in that. I always anticipated who was going to have the next awesome response. So thankyou & Cheers to 2 years & 2000 more.... (first time I've read your intro too)
  14. "I need to download a piece of string, how long will it take?"
  15. I'm blaming you if I'm not downloading by 6pm Australian time Flammen. Also, you should include how long will the DL take ;)
  16. This has probably been mention before, the four staffs reminds me of "Captain Planet" I wonder which dev is a fan of this show? :D
  17. You should never work with kids, animals or live stream internet. And Zombies should never be mixed with multiplayer events.
  18. I think that's just BO2's codename. Apart from the 3 Giant Robots, that was the first thing I noticed aswell. As Mr Perfect said, that must be the codename for BO2 zombies? Remember Mr Roflwaffles figured out the release date of BO2 from an advertisement that said "Eclipse" and there just happened to be an eclipse on the 13th of Novemeber. I was wondering if we would get another trailer or preview after they released Richtofen's notes. "what will they do until Tuesday then?". Rezurection had 2 trailers, though they weren't really gameplay trailers, so it kind of makes sense to hype this map pack release even more. This should be an epic map, I expect a lot of back story to be explained, but at the same time, I think there will be more questions & confusion with the story once it's done and dusted. This is treyarch marketing, this map will not make any sense.
  19. Could very well be. Good catch. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Counter-Earth (not the best pictures)
  20. Haha, I'm glad there is someone else as interested in this as much as me. Here we have a Mound passage tomb, that has similar patterns, the patterns may reference the moon & this is tomb is located in France! Quite a coincidence. I wasn't to sure what to make of that. Was he joking or has this some type of truth? I couldn't believe that he said "this is we're the Knights Templars went in" WOW! EDIT - some interesting info in this document. http://www.catshaman.com/261mon/0carnac.htm These eighteen kens maybe are symbols for a lunar year and we know that 18,61 moons is the Saros cycle when the nodes reaches exact same point-, i.e. they knew about eclipses The alignments and the underground graves associate to the moon and following the behaviour that mean practical astronomy. Season feast connected the moon calendar to the year. The big festival was in spring and autumn but maybe they celebrated new moon with libation to the water idol and another at wane moon for the fertility in soil symbolised by the axe, i.e. in other places one of the edges of the double axe. The temple was centre not only for the rituals in the lunations we know a little of from the Roman rituals. The funeral rituals were the same since resurrection was the idea of both human afterlife and vegetative resurrection. Gavrinis at Carnac and Newgrange, Knowth and Dowth at Ireland are rather moon temples than passage graves. I suppose they practised the first step-down-ritual in these temples. After that it spread to local combines graves and temples since the thought was the same about resurrection of seed and mankind.
  21. Thanks Mix. It makes me womder what artifacts we will find here. The Gavrinis Patterns are meant to be lunar indications of moon cycles (among other things) If the patterns in the game are based of these, i would nearly say that the Side-quest would have something to do with the MOON!!! I did a small update & added these 2 videos. (you have to watch the Ancient Alien video, absolute classic!) Tour of Gavrinis (20mins) Ancient Aliens (Gavrinis @ 6:30) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wbOBiB-y3O4
  22. Staff of Moses? The Holy Lance / Spear of Destiny? Or what I like - Gungnir (Odin's Spear in which he kills a Giant who becomes the world.) A bit out there. But anyway
  23. Or they keep making silly mistakes. Like they also miss spelled Der Riese in Rezurrection poster. The first time we encounter a written version of "Der Riese" it is spelt incorrectly/different. The note in Shi No Numa says - "Die Glock der Reise" And in all honesty, Element 115 wasn't created until 2004.
  24. Hahaha, awesome stuff Wooodd. "Samantha, Santa brought you a puppy for Christmas" I was watching an Australian TV show the night that the trailer was released & this character showed up. I was like "It's Maxis!!!" Great screenshots & breakdown Mr Lithium. Thanks.
  25. Mmmm, I don't think that is what is implied. It is stating that it is a diesel-punk inspired age. Steampunk/Dieselpunk genre is what it would be like if that type of technology is the only advancement of civilization. It may be what people would envisage the future technology to be. Obviously there were no 1000ft robots in WW1 (nor Zombies or Element 115) WW1 was the mechanical war. So many machines were used for the first time. It think that is what "Alternate-Reality" is implying. What would be the advancement of a tank, if only diesel technology was advanced? A 1000ft Robot. It's an "Alternate-reality" of World War 1 history. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steampunk I don't know much about it, but that's my interpretation.
