  1. This radio is only on the Black Ops version. However, the 3 radios are in World at War but don't do anything. To activate you must press the action button on 3 different radios in any order. @Rissole25 I didn't even realise that there is no added weapon in SNN!
  2. Lots to comment on here, but this is a quick one. Shangri-la is definetly made by Ravensoft. But this will mix up what you said about Richtofens spacesuit. The Kino Nova barrels & the Ascension Luna lander are both also found in Shangri-la. Good thread & good questions @BlindBusDrivr Nice to see you posting again
  3. Wow, joined August 2013 & your first post is today! I like that you lurk & by the sounds of it read a lot of the posts within the forums. Nice shoutout to Superhands & 5and5. Welcome to CoDz. Enjoy your Slay!
  4. Much respect to you @way2g00d Way was the first person from CoDz I played Zombies with. We started doing the Tranzit Side Quest. Haha. Good times. He was also one of the first people that I spoke directly to in a PM. I think at the time he was a dweller? And I was stoked that a staff member replied back to me & was even keen to have a game together. You made my first few weeks on CoDz last alot longer than I had thought I would & 3 years down the track we have played a fair few games together & chat on twitter (though it's been too damn long) Way has the highest post count in CoDz history, the majority of them would come from all of the team mate & game setups he ran back in the day. One of his threads is about 100 pages & went for probably 2 1/2 years!!! (Sadly I can't find it as it may not exist on the forum any longer?) Way, Your a Legend of CoDz & thank you for making me enjoy this forum more & for giving me enjoyment when playing Zombies. All the best in retirement mate.
  5. Here is an article exert from Eurogamer who interviewed Jason Blundell who answers the question - "Why Call of Duty Zombies isn't its own game" http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2015-10-15-treyarch-why-call-of-duty-zombies-isnt-its-own-game http://www.gamespot.com/articles/call-of-duty-dev-discusses-why-zombies-mode-isnt-a/1100-6431448/ Call of Duty's Zombies mode has grown from being a cool bonus to one of the best things - for some the best thing - about the first-person shooter series. And for a few years now some have called for Activision to create a standalone Zombies game, the idea being that a bigger budget and more development time would result in a better experience. But that seems unlikely when it comes to Treyarch's Call of Duty games at least. Treyarch, which kicked off Zombies with the launch of 2008's World at War, sounds keen on keeping Zombies a part of the Call of Duty package. Why? Because players enjoy switching between all three modes in Call of Duty games: from campaign to multiplayer to Zombies, depending on their mood. "We've got to cater for a lot of people," Jason Blundell, director of campaign and Zombies for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, told Eurogamer. "Sometimes you want to watch a movie and want to be engaged narratively on a concept. And then we have multiplayer - sometimes you just want to run around and have that high engagement experience. And sometimes you want to kill the undead - sometimes you want to play Zombies. "We see by the numbers and how people engage with the game as a whole, people change that feeling. They'll move between the different modes." Because of this, Black Ops 3 lets parties of players switch modes seamlessly - a first for the series. "We've made a unified .exe for the first time, which means all three modes run from the same place," Blundell explained. "So when you party up, you can move between each one. There's no unloading the .exe. In previous games you'd see it go to black and then it would come back up again. You can seamlessly move because now all three are online." A large team within Treyarch (which is around 400 people) has worked on Zombies mode for Black Ops 3 for some time, Blundell said, creating a film noire-styled map bigger than any previous Zombies effort. Shadows of Evil stars Ron Perlman, Heather Graham, Neal McDonough and Jeff Goldblum. The second Zombies map is called The Giant, a remake of the World at War map Der Riese. For Blundell, the size and scope of Black Ops 3's Zombies maps counter the argument that a standalone experience would be bigger and better. "While it's a lovely sentiment on the idea of breaking Zombies out into its own separate game, we see that people move between all three modes," Blundell continued. "And we're always about giving as much content, as much value for money, as we possibly can. That's why we pack our disc with as many game modes as we have currently. "What started as being very much a bonus mode in Zombies has now become a third pillar. We have this massive campaign now. We've got the juggernaut, which is multiplayer. And now for the first time Zombies has taken off as being a full-on experience. "It's really about flexibility and variety of choice for the amount of people who buy our games." So there you have it. Don't expect a Call of Duty Zombies game any time soon. ~ Blundell said, creating a film noire-styled map bigger than any previous Zombies effort. (Though in context, he is probably referring to the work load size that went into Shadows of Evil)
  6. The voices you hear when you are playing as Stu, are actually the Jumping Jacks (Nova Crawlers). The Nova crawlers in Kino make the same sounds. If you scour the Die Rise forum, there is a good thread explaining this.
  7. Simple question but maybe a difficult answer:- What game mode will you play first? Will you play the campaign from the beginning or start at the final mission? Will you play out the entire campaign missions to see if anything unlocks at the end? Will you play the new 4 player Co-op campaign? Will you play Multiplayer? Will you play "Shadows of Evil"? Or see what is different in "The Giant"? I wasn't really a fan of Shadows of Evil from the first time I saw the Trailer, but researching it more I can see alot of cool story & gameplay to come from this map. But as a World at War & Der Riese diehard, I think I'll have to play the Giant first. (But considering I'll have to wait for it to download, maybe I'll end up playing Shadows of Evil) Comment, Like, Subscribe, Follow & unfriend below & make sure you VOTE IN THE POLL!
  8. This poster is from Call of Duty's Snapchat - "Behind the scenes at Comic-Con" This has the Date - "Friday April, 10". Which only occurred in 1942. (funnily enough, that date occurred this year too) I assume that is the fight in which he uses the Knuckle Dusters & Sins. Interesting that anything before 1945ish is before Verruckt had taken place. (We play there September 10th, 1945. Same date as the 2nd Call of the Dead radio)
  9. Argh so you're GraphiteSix!!! Glad to see you finally posting here. You've been a member since Dec 2012? Welcome to CoDz mate. I'm looking forward to your future posts here.

You are in my book the finest member CoDz has to offer.

Friendly, smart and so much knowledge.

      Great to have you here.

  11. I really never eat or drink Doritos or Mtn Dew, but yeah, I would totally do that. @MrRoflWaffles for sure. How many people would do that? This promo is only open in the U.S, Milo, Liam & Dalek are all English, so they can't really buy these promo packs. And you can watch the first 5 videos without putting any codes in, you just need to figure out the url. I'm Australian, That's what I did cause otherwise I wouldn't be able to view them. And as for the last video - Chapter 6, that url doesn't exist (asaik). I think they will add that later, maybe the last week before the game releases.
  12. I love finding the real life inspirations that Treyarch use in COD Zombies. Here is an image I found on the DewDoritos site. And the Magic posters they have used in the background. (or close to)
  13. I had a feeling there would be a Train in Shadows of Evil. Goes along with why there was a Rollercoaster ride.
  14. Alexander (magician) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexander_(magician) Claude Alexander Conlin (1880–1954), also known as Alexander, C. Alexander, Alexander the Crystal Seer, and Alexander the Man Who Knows, was a vaudeville magician who specialized in mentalism and psychic reading acts, dressed in Oriental style robes and a feathered turban, and often used a crystal ball as a prop. Between 1915 and 1924, Conlin, under the stage name "Alexander, The Man Who Knows," was a popular and highly paid stage mentalist. Alexander promoted his psychic act as a form of mental telepathy or mind reading. Audience members gave him sealed questions, which he answered from the stage. His techniques were not revealed during his lifetime.
  15. So I made a video on this. A high quality production!!! Haha
  16. @Nightmare Voyager & @NaBrZHunter The connection between Harry Blackstone & "The Shadow" is Walter Gibson. He was the Author who wrote both the Blackstone & The Shadow Comic Books. He was a "writaholic". Check the link to him in the OP This is all I can find ATM regarding The Shadow radio transcripts Shadow Radio Episodes - MP3 Streams https://archive.org/details/RkoOrsonWelles-TheShadow-RadioRecodings Episode List http://library.syr.edu/digital/guides/s/StreetAndSmith/shadow.htm Some Radio Transcripts http://www.simplyscripts.com/radio_gz.html#S The Shadow - A Short Radio History http://www.old-time.com/sights/shadow.html
  17. You're a Legend Mix! OP Updated So I've found 3 or 4 characters that are a spin-off from Harry Blackstone. Incredible when you combine them all you pretty much get the BO3 Zombies character NERO!

  19. I found a poster in one of the Shadows of Evil screenshots which might reveal "Nero's" surname - Blackstone. Nero Blackstone https://www.callofduty.com/blackops3/zombies Set in a fictional 1940s city, Shadows of Evil is a film-noir-inspired horror story centered around four particularly troubled individuals – the Femme Fatale, the Magician, the Cop and the Boxer – and spans an entire metropolis swathed in evil… Welcome to Morg City. Each of the four characters awaken to a nightmarish world overrun by the undead. Each character fights to overcome confusion and amnesia – in the hope that they may piece together the events that brought them to this twisted world. Shadows of Evil introduces players to the Femme Fatal, the Magician, the Cop and the Boxer – and these are not nice people. Every one of them is a lying, conniving, manipulative and selfish individual with a long and sordid history of past misdeeds. The Magician played by Jeff Goldblum Born into enormous wealth, the magician grew up surrounded by lackeys and sycophants… and a lifetime of constant praise and attention has only fueled his deeply misplaced arrogance. And this is the image in which a found this poster ~ Zoomed in & enhanced so I could read the text ~ Text on poster ~ Credit to MixMasterNut for this find. The inspiration for Nero Blackstone possibly comes from this man ~ Harry Blackstone, Sr. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harry_Blackstone,_Sr. Harry Blackstone (September 27, 1885 – November 16, 1965) was a famed stage magician and illusionist of the 20th century. Blackstone was born Harry Bouton in Chicago, Illinois, he began his career as a magician in his teens and was popular through World War II as a USO entertainer. He was often billed as The Great Blackstone. His son Harry Blackstone, Jr. also became a famous magician. Blackstone was in the model of courtly, elegant predecessor magicians like Howard Thurston and Harry Kellar, and the last of that breed in America. He customarily wore white tie and tails when performing, and he traveled with large illusions and a sizable cast of uniformed male and female assistants. For a number of years he toured in the Midwest, often performing throughout the day between film showings. His "Sawing a woman in half" involved an electric circular saw some three to four feet in diameter mounted on a swing-down arm. Blackstone demonstrated the efficacy of the device by sawing noisily through a piece of lumber. Then a female assistant was placed on the saw table in full view, as wide metal restraints were clamped upon her midsection. The blade whirred and appeared to pass through her body, as ripping sounds were heard, the woman shrieked, and particles were scattered by the whirring blade. When the blade stopped she, of course, rose unharmed. In a gentler turn was his "Vanishing bird cage," an effect in which a score or more of children were invited to join him on the stage and all "put their hands on" a tiny cage holding a canary. Blackstone lowered the cage and then seemed to toss it into the air: bird and cage "disappearing" in the process to the astonishment and delight of the surprised children. Preserving History, Harry Blackstone Poster, Part 1 Preserving History, Harry Blackstone Poster, Part 2 Preserving History, Harry Blackstone Poster, Part 3 At 0:55 he tells the story about the "Devil sitting on his shoulder whispering into his ear". Which is now seen in so many posters. Harry Kellar https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harry_Kellar Blackstone, the Magic Detective https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blackstone,_the_Magic_Detective Books carrying Harry Blackstone's byline were ghostwritten for him by his friend, Walter B. Gibson, who also created, in 1941, the comic book Blackstone the Magician Detective and the 1948-49 radio series, Blackstone, the Magic Detective. Blackstone, the Magic Detective was a 15-minute radio series which had a tie-in with several comic books. The program aired Sunday afternoons at 2:45pm on the Mutual Broadcasting System from October 3, 1948, until March 26, 1950. Gibson also created EC Comics' Blackstone the Magician Detective Fights Crime in 1947. The comic book series continued as Timely Comics' Blackstone the Magician (#2) and Blackstone the Magician Detective (#3, #4). The character of Rhoda Brent, Blackstone's assistant in the comics, was carried over into the radio series. Walter B. Gibson https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walter_B._Gibson Walter Brown Gibson (September 12, 1897 – December 6, 1985) was an American author and professional magician, best known for his work on the pulp fiction character The Shadow. Gibson, under the pen-name Maxwell Grant, wrote "more than 300 novel-length" Shadow stories, writing up to "10,000 words a day" to satisfy public demand during the character's golden age in the 1930s and 1940s. Gibson wrote more than a hundred books on magic, psychic phenomena, true crime, mysteries, rope knots, yoga, hypnotism, and games. He served as a ghost writer for books on magic and spiritualism by Harry Houdini, Howard Thurston, Harry Blackstone, Sr., and Joseph Dunninger. Gibson wrote the comic books and radio drama Blackstone, the Magic Detective. starring a fictionalized version of Harry Blackstone. The Shadow https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Shadow The Shadow is a collection of serialized dramas, originally in 1930s pulp novels, and then in a wide variety of media. Details of the title character have varied across various media, but he is generally depicted as a crime-fighting vigilante with psychic powers posing as a "wealthy, young man about town". One of the most famous adventure heroes of the twentieth century, The Shadow has been featured on the radio, in a long-running pulp magazine series, in comic books, comic strips, television, serials, video games, and at least five motion pictures. Gibson initially fashioned the character as a man with villainous characteristics, who used them to battle crime, and in this was archetypal of the superhero, complete with a stylized imagery, a stylized name, sidekicks, supervillains, and a secret identity. Clad in black, The Shadow operated mainly after dark, burglarizing in the name of justice, and terrifying criminals into vulnerability before he or someone else gunned them down. The character was a film noir antihero in every sense; Gibson himself claimed the literary inspirations were Bram Stoker's Dracula and Edward Bulwer-Lytton's "The House and the Brain". Harry Dresden https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harry_Dresden Harry Blackstone Copperfield Dresden is a fictional detective and wizard. He was created by Jim Butcher and is the protagonist of the contemporary fantasy series The Dresden Files. The series blends magic and hardboiled detective fiction. In addition to the fifteen The Dresden Files novels, he has appeared in fifteen short stories, as well as a limited series comic and an unlimited series comic. He was also adapted into a character by the same name for the TV series version of the novel series, also called The Dresden Files. Harry Dresden is a wizard who works as a supernatural private investigator in Chicago, dealing with paranormal crimes and consulting for the Chicago Police Department. He is named after three different stage magicians — Harry Houdini, Harry Blackstone, Sr., and David Copperfield. Deviantart So I went completely down a rabbit hole here and it's kind of off-topic from what I imagine the game will be about. But I'm pretty confident all of these spun off characters are the inspiration for NERO BLACKSTONE! Edit ~ Going to add this Mob of the Dead quote from Al 'Weasel' Arlington - The quote is titled - vox_plr_3_wpck_snipe_d_3 (This refers to getting a sniper rifle from the mystery box) And we know what happens when you get a Sniper Rifle & look through the scope on the roof - ============================== In-Game poster & Magician's Weekly Magazine Cover To my surprise, it is not there and the room has been slightly changed since that promo pic. I was very disappointed as I thought they had completely removed Nero's surname due to copyright or defamation reasons and this poster would not exist at all. But, It is found within the Subway rift, still, the surname has been removed. But it is the same poster. Also found in the Footlight District around the Newspaper stand are copies of "Magician's Weekly", which have the name "Nero Blackstone" on the cover. (FINALLY - CONFIRMED!!!) This magazine cover is in the Prologue video but again, the cover is different & it just says "Nero's career up in smoke". Here are the Screenshots taken from in-game.
  20. So I a did a bit more digging & here is some info from the Six Flags Website https://www.sixflags.com/magicmountain/special-events/festival/fright-fest-presented-by-snickers https://frightfest.sixflags.com/magicmountain/frights/#galleryModal88 http://www.californiacoasterkings.com/six-flags-magic-mountain-update-september-20th-2015/ The Ride is actually called "Apocalypse", not Terminator as I previously said. https://www.sixflags.com/magicmountain/attractions/apocalypse @InfestLithium & @Boom - You both gotta go & get some cheesy video of this. For CODZ!! (P.S. Youtubers will make a Zombies video for anything....)
  21. So I came across this tweet. He says that the ride is "Terminator" just rebadged
  22. Gotta love a good olde theory thread! Shi No Numa to Moon was all about collecting things. The maps occur in the order they were released. Richtofen seems to have spent a lot of time at SNN, Der Riese, Call of the Dead, Shangri-la & Moon prior to when the maps occur in game. I've always assumed "Eagles Nest" is CotD. That was where he perfected the MTD (after the teleportation of the Walnut at Der Riese & without Maxis' knowledge) & took his test subjects (which weren't Zombies) after the Verrückt outbreak. He knew of the OSS Spies Peter (SNN) & Harvey Yena (CotD) Maxis may have never known about "Phychiachtric" Dr. Rictofen who experimented on living humans. Maxis' Test subjects were Dead humans. Maxis may have just thought Richtofen was a weapons builder. After Richtofen touched the MPD, the "Evil within" tells him what he needs to do to enter it. He then teleports Maxis, Sam & Fluffy & makes the "Shield Active". That unleashes the Zombies which destroys the Der Riese Mainframe. • He goes back to Shi No Numa to collect the Raygun & the DG-2. • He goes back to Der Riese to fix the Mainframe, overloads it & goes to Kino. • No idea what he collects from Kino? I Don't think he had never been there before. • Gersch device from Ascension • Golden Rod from CotD • Focusing stone from Shangri-la • And back to Moon to enter the MPD All of that just to enter the MPD. • Black Ops 2 Towers get activated • Maxis gets released into Agartha With Maxis now in Agartha, he sends the O4 into Der Riese just after Richtofen has teleported Maxis & Sam to the Moon (Giant cutscene). Origins Richtofen shoots Der Riese Rictoden. Maxis can now enter the MPD for good. This changes everything. The shield is never activated, Peter may not have been killed yet. etc etc. Everything Richtofen did after Teleporting Maxis, Sam & Fluffy never occurred. I think we might go back to SNN & show the story of what happened prior. Perhaps Treyarch have been hinting at this. Treyarch's first social media appearance this year was the image of the "Blue 115 Meteor". Could this be because of the influence of Maxis & the relation to the Blue 115 in Origins? Things are slightly different. The prequel to everything before SNN is finally being filled in. Treyarch are sneaky like that, they will hint at things right from the start, right "Under your nose!!!" Like any Zombies Theory, there are a million holes. I still can't piece together why there are WWI & WWII characters. It still makes no sense to me. And how did they end up at SNN in the first place. So many tangents in this Zombies story.
  23. There are thousands of textures & these are only about a third of them. These don't include any of the textures included with the models. So I would say no one would be willing to spend that much time posting them in the thread.
  24. @HitmanVere I think they are all 36x36 ?
