I have come across a few Yellow Chinese symbols on the ground in which one of them disapeared like the plates on Shangri-La. The one I stood on was from the drop off next to the radio tower? I'm not sure if this same symbol disapears every game or if it is random?

1. Die Rise / Great Leap Forward Loading Screen ============================== Mystery Man Who is this Mystery Man who features 4 times on the BO1 version of the Nacht Der Untoten loading screen? (Note - Mystery Man also on upper level next to the Transmitting Tower) ============================== Previous Map - Nuketown ============================== Previous Map - Green Run Loading Screen ============================== Next Map Hint I'm not a 100% sold on this but thought I'd include it. ============================== 2. The New Crew are Teleported into the Map for the second time, 'Begin anew' 3. Earth's Crust being exposed after the events of Moon. 4. Note the location. Its not Green Run nor Nuketown 5. It seems to be the Colorado/New Mexico Border? 1. Note the Mystery Man Standing in the top right picture of the Loading Screen. We can see what looks to be a postcard on the left & another image on the right (Torn section) for the map to follow. I have a couple of ideas but nothing definate. 2. The New Crew are Teleported for what seems to be the second time into Die Rise? 3. The Events of moon seem to be important already in Die Rise. Has Hollow Earth been exposed? 4. The location from where the Teleportation Beam starts in very interesting. It's not Green Run nor Nuketown. It seems to be coming from Colorado or New Mexico? Conspiracies! The Timeline & Storyline is quite complicated now. At the moment I'm unsure what else there is about this crazy map? Let the story be told. There's so much storyline unfolding here, but again, more questions than answers. Please discuss your thoughts?

Not new but, You can build another Nav Card table under the ramp next to the dragon on the roof. Stand on the top of one of the elevators to get there. It's confusing!!!

Good thinking Jeager. Another one of Tesla's inventions was the 'Tesla Shield', again incorporating all of the same components. From what I understand, the Tesla shield is many of his 'Towers' (or Sites) spread across the US which would form an Electromagnetic Pulse against an incoming attack. http://www.bibliotecapleyades.net/scalar_tech/esp_scalarwar02e.htm This picture is the Russian Defence. The Howitzer is the picture in my last post. All of these inventions where never completed during Tesla's time, though as the conspiracies go, they have used & made these technologies so advanced that they are talking about 'Star Wars'. Gamma Ray warfare in which satellites shoot these beams anywhere in the world. Please take all of what I'm saying with a 'grain of salt', I only came across this from researching Nicola Tesla. There is so much of his life weaved into the Zombies Storyline. History lessons & Conspiracies, what more can 3arc teach us?

There has to be a reason why those Death Ray documents are in the game? (I hope you can read the real FBI documents clearly? They are very interesting. It incorporates the soviets aswell & their version of HARRP (see Operation Woodpecker') Conspiracy wise they can all be related. This may be Maxis' End Game, I've got no idea what Richtofen's 'Grand Scheme' will be? I don't want to go off topic on Jeagers thread.

Awesome post Jeager! Top stuff mate. I have wondered how they will incorporate 2 different side quests, though still using the same objects for a different storyline outcome? My thoughts exactly....Polarisation may just be referring to magnetics. Tesla's Alternating Current Motor is exactly this. (think A/C motor in the wind turbine on Green Run) North/South/North/South magnets that push against each other to create energy, just on a much larger scale. (don't quote me, I'm no engineer) And this is what I think the 'Device' will be. (see spoiler) EDIT - Forgot to say, this all may have something to do with the Nuketown Loading Screen?

Yeah, but that it's outside of the skyscrappers. That means we can go out of the buildings? Maybe that Dragon Head activates the special feature of the map. An odd example: Gravitatory change. Idk, but I'm really excited. A few things to note from the Map Picture. If you look at every other map picture like this in the leaderboards/theatre section, it features parts of the map which are playable. Every single picture....So I think we can go outside. Also did anyone else notice what looks like a BIG wave of water rushing through in the center of the picture? Dragonboats anyone?

So here's a long shot & a last theory on what on next 'Side Quest' may involve. I believe we are creating a Transmitter which was so very close to becoming a reality many years ago. But at the last moment was never completed. I think this is Stage 2 of Nikola Tesla's 'Wardenclyffe Tower'. We will not go up, but rather go down. We need to give our overall device an 'Earth'. We will construct something underground in Die Rise. The Skyscrapper is the tower. The following is why I think the 'Side Quest' will go underground. (I tried to make this as short as possible, but it's not) - Exerts Wardenclyffe Tower http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wardenclyffe_Tower The 187-foot-tall Wardenclyffe tower stood over a 12-foot diameter shaft sunk 120 feet down. At 307 ft, overall, this structure was a bit over half the height of the 600 feet that was originally conceived, possibly close enough to the exact half to be harmonic with it. (Ref. 2b) The underground structure was included a spiral staircase to the bottom and iron "terrestrial grippers" which were pipes extending 300 feet out from the core. Further, Tesla built four stone-lined tunnels large enough to crawl through, angled back toward the surface and emerging 300 feet from the tower. All of these contributed greatly to the cost of the facility. How it works http://www.frankgermano.net/teslas_magnifying_transmitter.htm Rather than acting as a radiator, the large metallic spheroid, now known as an isotropic capacitance, which Tesla positioned above the extra coil was intended only as a reservoir for electrical charge. Another important component of Tesla's Long Island apparatus was an underground array of iron pipes which extended outward from the bottom of a deep shaft beneath the transmitter tower. When coupled with the transmitter these pipes provided a connection to the earth through which a powerful oscillating electrical current would flow. Unlike a conventional radio transmitter with an antenna that radiates dissipating electromagnetic waves out into space, the magnifying transmitter's extra coil excites a low-frequency ground wave called the Zenneck surface wave. In this case the propagating energy does not radiate into space but is concentrated near the earth's surface. Furthermore, Tesla asserted that it is possible to periodically disturb the equilibrium of the earth's electrical charge and cause it to oscillate with his apparatus. This would be accomplished by superposing an extra low frequency baseband signal on the somewhat higher frequency signal coursing through the resonator -- the low frequency current in the presence of an enveloping corona-induced plasma of free charge carriers produced by the oscillator in effect "pumping" the earth's charge. Transmission of electrical energy without wires The Tesla coil wireless transmitter - U.S. Patent 1,119,732 An electric current flowing through a conductor carries electrical energy. The body of the earth is an electrical conductor, nearly spherical in shape, insulated in space. It possesses an electric charge relative to the upper atmosphere beginning at about 50 kilometers elevation. When a second body, directly adjacent to Earth, is charged and discharged in rapid succession this causes an equivalent variation of Earth's electrostatic charge resulting in the passage of electric current through the ground. The Tesla coil transmitter, both the single and dual tower forms, is an electrical machine specifically designed to create as large a displacement as possible of Earth's electric charge. It does this by alternately charging and discharging the oscillator's elevated terminal capacitance at a specific frequency, periodically altering the electrostatic charge of the earth, and consequently, with sufficient power, the pressure over its entire surface. "A connection to earth, either directly or through a condenser is essential". The placement of a grounded Tesla coil receiver tuned to the same frequency as the transmitter at another point on the surface results in the flow of electric current through the earth between the two, "while an equivalent electrical displacement occurs in the atmosphere." This current can be utilized at the receiver to drive an electrical load, which in the case of an individual World Wireless Telecommunications System receiver is a sensitive device using only a small amount of energy. Underground & Tunnels http://www.teslascience.org/pages/twp/tunnels.htm The working room, or tower, which will be the foundation for Mr. Tesla's across-the-world flashes, will be octagonal in shape and will be 210 feet high, 100 feet In diameter at the base, narrowing down to 80 feet in diameter at the top. It will be constructed chiefly of wood, though the builders say that fifty tons of iron and steel and 50,000 bolts of various sizes are used in Its construction. Inside the big tower a well 120 feet deep has been sunk, the well being 12 feet square, cased Its entire depth with 8 inch timbers, which will be finished off with brick and cement. A staircase, which will lead down into the well, is nearly completed. Transversely across the bottom of the well will be a series of four tunnels, each to be 100 feet long, and a force of workmen has begun work on these subterranean passages. While the tower itself is very "stagey" and picturesque, it is the wonders that are supposed to be hidden in the earth underneath it that excite the curiosity of the population in the little settlement. Mr. Scherff, the private secretary of the inventor, told an inquirer that the companionway led to a small drainage passage built for the purpose of keeping the ground about the tower dry. But such of the villagers as saw the tower constructed tell a different story. They declare that it leads to a well-like excavation as deep as the tower is high with walls of masonwork and a circular stairway leading to the bottom. From there, they say, tunnels have been built in all directions, until the entire ground below the little plain on which the tower is raised has been honeycombed with subterranean passages. They tell with awe how Mr. Tesla, on his weekly visits to Wardenclyffe, spends as much time in the underground passages as he does on the tower or in the handsome laboratory and workshop erected beside it, and where the power plant for the world telegraph has been installed. Wardenclyffe Foreclosure Proceedings Nikola Tesla for Defendant---Direct. A. Yes. You see the underground work is one of the most expensive parts of the tower. In this system that I have invented it is necessary for the machine to get a grip of the earth, otherwise it cannot shake the earth. It has to have a grip on the earth so that the whole of this globe can quiver, and to do that it is necessary to carry out a very expensive construction. I had in fact invented special machines. But I want to say this underground work belongs to the tower. A. There was, as your Honor states, a big shaft about ten by twelve feet goes down about one hundred and twenty feet and this was first covered with timber and the inside with steel and in the center of this there was a winding stairs going down and in the center of the stairs there was a big shaft again through which the current was to pass, and this shaft was so figured in order to tell exactly where the nodal point is, so that I could calculate every point of distance. For instance I could calculate exactly the size of the earth or the diameter of the earth and measure it exactly within four feet with that machine. A. Absolutely necessary. And then the real expensive work was to connect that central part with the earth, and there I had special machines rigged up which would push the iron pipe, one length after another, and I pushed these iron pipes, I think sixteen of them, three hundred feet, and then the current through these pipes takes hold of the earth. Now that was a very expensive part of the work, but it does not show on the tower, but it belongs to the tower. A. Through the instrumentality of the earth. That was my discovery that I announced in 1893, and now all the wireless plants are doing that. There is no other system being used. And the idea was to reproduce this apparatus and then connect it just with a central station and telephone office, so that you may pick up your telephone and if you wanted to talk to a telephone subscriber in Australia you would simply call up that plant and the plant would connect immediately with that subscriber, no matter where in the world, and you could talk to him. And I had contemplated to have press messages, stock quotations, pictures for the press and these reproductions of signatures, checks and everything transmitted from there throughout the world, but---- "At the base of the edifice, deep below the earth, along the descending spiral staircase, was a network of catacombs that extended out like spokes of a wheel. Sixteen of them contained iron pipes which protruded from the central shaft to a distance of three hundred feet. The expense for these "terrestrial grippers" was notable, as Tesla had to design "special machines to push the pipes, one after the other" [Nikola Tesla On His Work With Alternating Currents . . . , Foreclosure Proceedings] deep into the earth's interior. "Also in the well were four stone-lined tunnels, each of which gradually rose back to the surface. Large enough for a man to crawl through, they emerged like isolated, igloo-shaped brick ovens three hundred feet from the base of the tower. "Although the exact reason for the burrows has not been determined, their necessity was probably multifaceted. Tesla had increased the length of the aerial by over a hundred feet by extending the shaft into the earth. Simultaneously, he was able to more easily transmit energy through the ground with this arrangement. It is possible that he also planned to resonate the aquifer which was situated slightly below the bottom of the well. The insulated passageways which climbed back to the surface may have been safety valves, which would have allowed excess pressure to escape. They also provided an alternative way to access the base. Tesla may have planned to fill other shafts with salt water or liquid nitrogen to augment transmission. There may have also been other reasons for their construction." -- Marc Seifer, Wizard : the life and times of Nikola Tesla, p. 291 [After "Dig for Mystery Tunnels Ends With Scientist's Secret Intact," Newsday, Feb. 13, 1979, p. 24, and "Famed inventor, Mystery Tunnels Linked," Newsday, March 10, 1979, p. 19.] Powering the Great Pyramid The Wardenclyffe Tower has lots of similarities to the Great Pyramid of Giza. Which will come into the story later. http://www.endalldisease.com/nikola-tesla-the-secrets-hidden-in-the-pyramids-of-egypt/

Persistent Upgrades Nomenclature VOTING
PINNAZ replied to MysteryMachineX's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Thanks MMX Overall Title - 2 words They are Earnable abilities. Though 'Persistant Upgrades' as Delta said "that's what the patch file name is called" might be best as they are exactly that - Persistant. They come & go. You have to maintain them. I also changed my Jugg title to 'Jugganoob" -
Persistent Upgrades Nomenclature VOTING
PINNAZ replied to MysteryMachineX's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I know this is nominating, but mine are pretty much the same. Sorry for the double-up. 1. Earnable Abilities 2. Head Popper 3. Fast Revive 4. Barric-Aid (the best name you'll find) 5. Insta-Kill Explode 6. JuggaNOOB (gives players that go down frequently a 'Second Chance' I haven't played a game in which I've earnt # 5 & 6 yet so I'm unsure of a better name/s -
Game Modes - TranZit - A Survival game mode which incorporates smaller maps into 1 large playable map. Die Rise - A Survival game mode which incorporates smaller maps into 1 large playable map. Grief - a co-op game mode which up to 8 players can play 4 v 4 against each other. Turned - 1 person is a playable human, 3 people are playable Zombies. Survival - A playable smaller map from the game mode TranZit/Die Rise - i.e. Bus Depot, Farm, Town Map Names - Green Run - The collective map name which encompasses (currently) 3 smaller maps (Bus Depot, Farm, Town) & modes(Survival, Grief, Turned) Great Leap Foward - I would assume this to be collective map name which encompasses smaller maps (i.e. - Foyer, Level 3, Basement) & modes (Survival, Grief, Turned) I'm certain that either 3 or 4 smaller playable maps will be added to the Great Leap Forward section i.e. - Great Leap Forward - Survival/Grief - Foyer Great Leap Forward - Survival/Grief - Floor 3 Great Leap Forward - Survival/Grief - Basement Green Run - Survival/Grief - Town Green Run - Survival/Grief - Farm Green Run - Turned - Diner I'm sure that 1 map on Great Leap Foward will have Turned.

Whoa!!! Look what happens while I'm asleep. Mind Blown... Absolutely Mind Blow. Credit where credit it due. The first time I came across this was a video that Ben from PTG originally posted showing heaps of Wii Easter Eggs. I then watched a video posted by 'Wiithekids' which you can clearly hear the audio (the video I used in the OP) I then was looking here on CoDz to see if there was any information about the Wii version EE. I came across 'killallzombies' thread & kept this information in the back of my mind. When it was announced that DLC1 was set in the 'Far East' that's when I put 2 & 2 together & realised that the Wii Audio was talking about 'The Great Leap Forward' & I only thought that it was a hint for the location, NOT the actual Map Name!!! I PM'ed killallzombies to see if he was going to make a new thread & that I had kept some information which I could give him. I got a bit carried away & pretty much sent him this thread in a message & asked would he mind of I posted this. I also PM'ed MixMasterNut to see if he had anymore information & if he had found the original video played in the game. Credit where credit is due - killallzombies & MixMasterNut both have the Wii version of Black Ops & discovered this originally. I just did some extra research & tried to make a well presented thread to show new users what you can do on CoDz. I tried to give as much credit to them in the OP as possible. CoDz strikes again!!! Man, I had no idea that the Map Name would be titled this. Mind still blown! Here's MrRoflWaffles video - He credits killallzombies & MixMasterNut. (Thankyou) Here's Spiderbite's video There's still more too this.... Research time.

Sorry Megaton, I must of been confusing Custom Games & Local as both saving content. So can you play split screen on Local? If so, can you still get the ToB achievement?

Bump-a-dee-Bumpadee.... Nice work killallzombies. So historic world events are our map names - The Green Run Project China's Great Leap Foward.

Here's some screenshots from the Mystery Box at the Bus Depot Orbs & Rays Shooting towards Town. The funny thing is, this wasnt when I saw them in-game? It was 2 spins after this & I got them twice in a row, yet it doesn't show up in theatre mode? I also hadn't completed the Side Quest (though someone I was playing with had) I didn't have Blue Eyes & I had 1 Tally. This was the first time I had seen the Orbs & the Rays myself.
-
I'm unsure of an exact answer, I would assume it saves to your HDD as you can build the Nav Card Table (or Bank or Fridge or EE)while playing a game OFFLINE & it is still is saved the next game you play? Edit - INCORRECT!! Disinformation Clearing your cache only wipes the updates, not your saves games doesn't it?

I finally completed Obey Maxis ToB. I hadnt played in a 5 or 6 days so I was reset to Skull - No Blue Eyes or tallies. I was playing with someone that had completed Richtofen's side. For the first time I saw Blue Orbs & Rays from the Mystery Box (at Bus Depot) this was prior to doing the side quest? Repeat - I saw Blue Orbs with Rays from the Box WITHOUT completing the EE or having Blue Eyes??? I have not heard of this before. Also, I'm reviewing the game in theatre mode & can see the Blue Orbs with Rays from the Box but 3 spins before I actually saw it in game??? As soon as I hit rewind for the first time, the Orbs & Rays do not show again. I didn't think you could see orbs in theatre mode? But you can until you hit rewind. - The Orbs showed up after (around) 60,000-70,000 points spent. - I spent about 80,000 points before I finally got EMP's. - I was Russman - Round 6 - Mystery Box Orbs & Rays at Bus Depot - Rays came down (like Mystery Box light) - Then went (right) towards town into the hill (2 spins in a row) Completed Maxis Side Quest & saw Red Rays/Beams shooting everywhere. I shall update this post with some screenshots as soon as I can. Sorry if this isn't info you were after.

Its the exit of the War Strategy boardroom (don't know what to call it?) which holds the Pack-a-Punch. There are 4 switches (on the walls of the room your in) 2 upstairs, 2 downstairs which if you active all of them it turns it to DEFCON 5, hence, opens the War Room. Teleport in there from the main large room that your in? (can't remember) Prior to flicking the switches that door says security 115 (sorry thats a pretty poor explaination, I haven't played FIVE in ages.
