  1. The Asylum is for well researched & thought out theories. Please include more than 1 line & a website link. People may think that the link is dodgy as you do not explain what your thread is about nor your thoughts or ideas. Include something like this - Exert from - http://bell.greyfalcon.us/ Die Glocke (German for "The Bell") - is the name of a purported top secret Nazi scientific technological device. The only source for this is the books of Polish aerospace defence journalist and military historian Igor Witkowski, which claims it to be a secret weapon, or Wunderwaffe. The topic has been popularized by Nick Cook, Joseph P. Farrell and conspiracy theory websites, associating it with Nazi occultism and antigravity or free energy research. The device was first claimed to exist by Igor Witkowski, in his Polish language book Prawda O Wunderwaffe (2000, reprinted in German as Die Wahrheit über die Wunderwaffe), in which he refers to it as "The Nazi-Bell". Little was known or reported on regarding the device until it was popularized in the English-speaking Western world by journalist, author, and former British aviation editor for Jane's Information Group, Nick Cook, in his book The Hunt for Zero Point. Interest grew, and Witkowski's book was translated into English in 2003 by Bruce Wenham as The Truth about the Wunderwaffe. Further speculation about the device has appeared in books by the American fringe authors Joseph P. Farrell, Jim Marrs, and Henry Stevens. "The Bell" has become something of a legend among believers in perpetual motion machines, anti-gravity devices, reality shifting, reanimation, and time-space manipulation. The 'Giant' The Bell is said be an experiment carried out by Third Reich SS scientists working in the German facility Der Riese (The Giant) near Wenceslaus mine. The mine is located 50 kilometers away from Breslau a little north village of Ludwikowice Kłodzkie (formerly known as Ludwigsdorf) close to Czech border. Cook and Witkowski visited the site for the UK Channel 4 documentary UFOs: the Hidden Evidence (aka An Alien History of Planet Earth). The device is described as metallic, approximately 9 feet wide and 12 to 15 feet high with a shape similar to a bell. It contained two counter-rotating cylinders filled with a substance similar to Mercury that glowed violet when activated, known only as Xerum 525 it has been speculated to be Red mercury. When active, The Bell would emit strong radiation, which led to the death of several scientists and various plant and animal test subjects. The Henge (Fly Trap) Among Witkowski's other speculations was that a nearby structure dubbed "The Henge" may have been a test rig for the anti-gravity propulsion generated by the Bell. Witkowski said that an industrial complex at the nearby Wenceslas mine was the testing site for the Bell. In August 2005 German investigator, and GAF Staff Officer, Gerold Schelm (aka "Golf Sierra") visited "The Henge" and released his findings in November of that year. He claims to have debunked the "Henge" part of the story, demonstrating that a similar structure he discovered in the Polish city of Siechnice is merely the frame for a cooling tower, and shows both Witkowski's image and his of the completed cooling tower together for purposes of comparison. Schelm goes on to state that: The similarities between the concrete structure known as "The Henge" and the base structure of this cooling tower in Siechnice are obvious. Despite the number of columns does not match (2 at Siecnice and 11 at Ludwikowice), I am sure, that even their dimensions are almost the same. The construction features are exactly the same, leading to the assumption that the cooling tower and "The Henge" once were built using the same plans, maybe even the same construction company. I had no luck in finding out when the cooling tower in Siechnice was erected, but is in very good condition and I think it was built after WW II, maybe in the 60's or 70's. In 2006 Joseph P. Farrell commented in his book, SS Brotherhood of the Bell: Witkowski also provided this author with more information that was not available when his book was published. Rainer Karlsch, a German historian who recently published a book in Germany on Hitler's nuclear program, also mentioned in his book that a team of physicists from a German university (in Giessen) has carried out a lot of research in Ludwikowice, namely in (the Henge). The result is such that there are isotopes in the construction (in the reinforcement), which can only be the result of irradiation by a strong beam of neutrons, thus that there must have been some kind of device accelerating ions, rather heavy ones. It could be calculated what was the intensity of the radiation in 1945 and generally it was very high. In other words, whatever had been tested at the Henge - and there is every indication that it was the Bell - it not only required a sturdy structure to keep it down but also it gave off strong, heavy, radiation. In his book, Hitler's Suppressed and Still-Secret Weapons, Science and Technology, Stevens wrote about a conversation in the early sixties between a friend's father and his boss at NASA, Otto Cerny, a German scientist from Operation Paperclip. At first Cerny was only vague about his previous work, dismissing it as "weird experiments on the nature of time". However, he later drew a structure made of a circle of stones with a ring around the top along with a second ring from which something hung. At some point during the conversation Cerny described something similar to a concave mirror on top of the device allowing "images from the past" to be seen during its operation. He claimed that it was possible to "go back and witness things", but not to go forward. ***Note - this is only an example post (mostly discussed on CoDz about 4 years ago) Well done in finding this yourself but please post more than a link & 1 line. If you are to post in the Asylum, Make it detailed!!!
  2. WaW - I voted for Der Riese but Shi No is where it started for me. I first made it to the low round 30's & learnt to do figure 8's. I did my training here. I found the radios & telephone myself & the storyline started in me. But..... Der Riese..... I played Der Riese so much, mainly just trying to get the acheivement - "Reach Round 20 with No Perks" Perkaholics Anonymous! You stayed on the wagon until level 20! You have nerves of steel! (This should be an CoDz Medal) Der Riese is just such an awesome map for our storyline. It's such a spooky place. The character just works! Black Ops - .I really enjoy Call of the Dead. Large map, lots of room & the backstory from the radios is what we were waiting for Black Ops 2 - I've been playing lots of Survival on Town. It dosent take long to get set up & you can have some fun, quick & enjoyable games. All the perks are available & you can PaP easily. This makes town a fairly easy map. I do really like Nuketown, but the Drops just make or break you. I suppose this just makes it a challenge if you get bad Perk drops. I find Nuketown pretty quick & easy to make it to 20, just the drops can mess you up.
  3. Or push them into the Lava pit at the power station. I hate the cheeky smartass players. This is Zombies! Not multiplayer!
  4. You get downed from the height of the fall. Exciting....
  5. It is a fine line in Green Run. Is it - A. Teleporting to the bank to get money, buy perks, open doors, build Jet Gun, build Nav Card Table, all in early rounds while someone else 'babysits' the last zombies? You are getting set up for a high round leaderboard score in the early rounds by manipulating the games mechanics instead of doing all of this under pressure. But I suppose that the bank is there for that reason? B. if you get downed then need to rebuy perks or acquire tombstone, weapons while someone babysits? You are still racking up a lot of the stats because you have to travel far to get back in the game. C. Travelling laps on the bus while someone babysits the remaining zombie? Its a fine line. All of this is essentially using the game mechanics, but where does it turn into boosting? If someone wants to do countless laps of the map on the bus to achieve top spot for that leader board, then go for it. I got better things to do. 8-) There's probably a whole heap more in which you can manipulate
  6. Please write a short description about your topic & what you think about the YouTube clip. There's probably a few spots that you can climb using the Jet Gun. I don't think this is anything exciting. And is it worth it? You get downed every time from the height it which you fall.
  7. It is Maxis but he says "That's it, now complete the Device" "That 's it" happens when the 3 piece of the Turbine is picked up.
  8. I wish I had of found this 2 weeks ago
  9. I think there's only 4 different character types in Green Run. The only Zombies wearing the 'Neck Collar' also are the only ones with the 'Hanford Sanitarium' patch on their right sleeve. these are the 'Workers' not the patients? They are wearing Blue or Orange overalls. Then there's one in a 'Straight Jacket' One wearing a 'Hospital Gown' (these also have 'Tags' in their wrist) Why do the Workers at the Hanford Sanitarium have 'Electric Neck Collars' on? Why is it not the ones in the Straight Jackets or Hospital Gowns?
  10. Great ideas there Undead & MMX, the torch idea would be a great start to a map. But no more 'Fog maps'. I'm sick of it. I like nice clear imagery.
  11. I added some screenshots to my first post if you want to add them to the original post.
  12. This belongs here too. A movie called Wedlock (formally Deadlock) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wedlock_(film) Short 2 minute clip. Watch the end. And the trailer - 2 minute clip
  13. I do like this idea, even though I doubt there is more. Green Run just seems to lack 'interactable type EE's' As you say, the Teleporter picture that is on all blueprints is the same that first appeared on the 'Der Riese' loading screen comic strip where it says "Must link each Teleporter to Mainframe"? Image from AlphaSnake's Media Thread Active all denizen teleporters & something else may be intractable. ie EMP 4 teleporters, shoot more zombies under the tower, interactive object elsewhere, idk? Probably most of these have already been tried. There's just something about that Teleporter picture?
  14. CoDz is very thankful you haven't left Alpha. First post in this Asylum? I hope there will be more after DLC & we get more storyline. Edit - Haha, Groom to the Stool. I sometimes feel like a groom to the stool. Sea King 115 Patch William was part of 60 Squadron No. 60 (Reserve) Squadron of the Royal Air Force was formed in 1916 at Gosport. It is currently part of the Defence Helicopter Flying School based at RAF Shawbury in Shropshire. The Squadron crest is a markhor's head and was approved by King George VI in December 1937. Chosen to commemorate many years of service in North-West India, the markhor being a mountain goat frequenting the Khyber Pass. The horns of a markhor were presented to the Squadron in 1964. The Squadron motto is Per ardua ad aethera tendo - 'I strive through difficulties to the sky'. 115 Squadron Motto - Despite the Elements An interesting blog which outlines a lot of what that YouTube documentary is about. The blog address below has a whole section about 115. Prince Williams birth certificate number entry is - 115 Prince Williams Occulted Numbers http://kaldanis.blogspot.com.au/2010/03/prince-williams-occulted-numbers.html?m=1 A little of topic but anyway....
  15. This just might be a coincidence, but I was looking around for info on 'Electric Neck Collars' & this is all I can find (it's nearly identical to the collars some Zombies wear. A movie called Wedlock (used to be called Deadlock) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wedlock_(film) Short 2 minute clip. Watch the end. Trailer - 2:30 clip
  16. I assume you are talking about an in-game image? There are thousands of the logos in the single player campaign level 'USS Obama' or whatever it's called? I'll try to take a screenshot from the campaign. But the logo is just an adaption of the US Air Force
  17. I'm leaning towards the map name just being called 'Rise' And 'Die' may just be referencing Richtofen "Now Die" Take previous DLC map packs, they have different map names/descriptions on the advertisement posters. Survive = Call of the Dead Obliterate the Zombies = Shangri-la
  18. That's a reference to 'Greyhound Bus Lines'
  19. Your not an idiot for not knowing why people call him T.E.D.D. T.E.D.D. is not mentioned anywhere in-game & when the credits roll at the end of the single player campaign he is referred to as the Bus Driver. Can anybody tell the forum why his name is T.E.D.D.? Welcome to CoDz too!
  20. Firstly, I have only listened to the first 10 minutes so far, forgive me for replying without listening to all of it yet. Though I'd thought I'd share these pictures with you, in which I only discovered today after | GRILL | had posted it on one of my threads, Lake Vostok http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lake_Vostok Which lead me to this website - http://usahitman.com/trmoie/ (this site has some pretty cool stories on it) Third Reich Maps of Inner Earth We’ve all heard tales of Nazis exploring the southern extremities of the globe and even setting up bases in Neuschwabenland. Some have also heard of Operation Highjump and Admiral Byrd’s altercation with entranched German forces that overpowered them with amazing flying craft. A video has recently surfaced which shows a 1944 map from the Third Reich detailing not only the direct passageway used by German U-boats to access this subterranean domain, but also a complete map of both hemispheres of the inner realm of Agharta!
  21. Theres also heaps of Indiana Jones references too. Indiana Jones & the Kingdom of Skulls = Nukteown Nacht Der Untoten: (courtesy of AlphaSnake's Ultimate Media Thread) This is from Faust's thread in the Asylum - El Dorado, Akakor You should built this thread as a library on all the references in which 3arc draw from.
  22. Can you please include a brief on what the YouTube link is about? And it's not a Teleporter. That is the Power Cell in which "HIM" comes out from.
  23. In made a thread in the Green Run section that has some information on 'Atomic Frontier Days' if you want a quick read. It's just a thread with information about the Hanford Site. You can find it - HERE I'm still unsure on what the 'Nuke Donkey' means?
  24. I'm not sure if this is what that post is referring to & I haven't tried the co-ordinates myself
  25. 'Atomic Frontier Days' (Nuke Donkey) is a real book & that picture is on a poster in game, not on one of the magazine covers. Well done on getting some more words from the covers, try to get them from in the game, not from the screenshots in the post.
