  1. I personally hate the golden/diamond camos and would be a bit pissed if my zombies guns started getting all prettied up. I thought Stop Mocking Me's idea here was genius.. It's obvious they are stepping up the rewards like they did in BO1 so I bet we see some interesting and creative rewards from here on out. Personally I thought Die Rises reward was good but bad at the same time. I don't think its beneficial to have the reward be something you can attain in game without doing the side mission. (ie: its easy to get 6 perks from the jumping jacks. A simple twist to reward players for doing the EE would have been all 6 perks plus Doctor Flopper, or something like that, ya know? Something that says hey awesome you did something that people don't try to do every single game, here's something special for your efforts.)
  2. PS3 version is definately buggy. The slide glitch happens sometimes if you crouch and then go down the ramp. I've also seen people die for no reason on there. Who's Who is brutal. If you go down and someone else revives your original body you typically get stuck with one gun out and can't use any of your equipment or grenades or switch guns. To fix this you need to either pack a punch the gun you're holding or buy galvaknuckles. If you have a packed gun that can't be packed again like the Galil, you will have to buy a new gun and then pack it to get your other guns back and be able to use your claymores and stuff. The other who's who glitch is if you go down and spectate someone who goes down and is in who's who mode, you will have the who's who song playing when you respawn until you restart your game. I'm unaware of how to fix this. Both of those glitches are probably 99% of the time in my experience. Not to mention all of the trampoline glitches to pop yourself into walls and stuff and the creating lobby issues. 4 friends in my lobby and it takes 3 months to create a lobby in public match. Also I can't create a solo lobby without restarting my ps3 a couple times.
  3. The zombie in this picture looks awesome!!! I'm Ray Liota all the way. All of them are pretty awesome though!
  4. Still could be better but that commercial was wayyy funnier than the first one. Not much in the way of game trailers but oh well, it was entertaining.
  5. I would consider this legit but a little cheap. Legit because you don't always have to horde or run trains in zombies, but trying to hold down a room with multiple zombie spawns is unwise as well. If backing yourself into a corner and digging in isn't legit then technically putting a trampoline in front of a window to hold it down wouldn't be legit either. I disagree with this line of thinking. This isn't a glitch, it's utilizing the terrain and the guns available to make a stand. Note: This can be done easily to high rounds with no worry about ammo, it just takes a bit of skill and timing and someone who knows what they're doing with the siliquifier. I say its a little cheap only because of the pooling of zombies at the bottom of the ramp. Shooting them awards a shit ton of points very quickly, taking the struggle out of earning your points to buy what you need. Just my opinion anyway, others may see it different.
  6. We could be in a time rift and anythings possible really. I'm thinking that Richtofen teleported some random zombies through time and space from Der Reise to different random locations to spread the outbreak. Therefore this is Alcatraz's story and doesn't necessarily tie in to the other characters story. That being said it obviously must link some how but I'm thinking it'll be in a different form than a tower. It'll likely be an item to collect to take to the final DLC or something that has to be changed to make something else happen in the future. Maybe this is their way to justify revamping maps like Der Riese. Because of what happens in MOTD this is why the changes happened here kind of thing and they can give us an updated/old map. I dunno, I like the theories but I'm just gonna wait patiently and try my best to fight the urge to watch xbox videos when it comes out as I still have a ps3 month to wait. I love how they side tracked everyone who were making tower predictions as to where the next map was gonna be with something totally different. I'm feeling this new map and can't wait to play it.
  7. Good info right here. It's funny how people always come up with these cool names but their not correct. We'll have to call him the guard I guess. Personally I don't think he's a boss, I think he'll just be one of the types of zombies running around. The boss rounds will be that flaming dog thing.
  8. Makes me think of the Scientist in Five. Hopefully this "Warden" isn't running around stealing our guns.
  9. I mentioned awhile back that I hear something when running in the tunnel on that side. I don't know what it is but I do hear it and have since the beginning. I have a theory that as we do EE in the DLC's that things may change in Green Run.. IE: mending the rift in time Richtofen created. Not sure if what you're hearing is new altogether but I'm curious if it is being triggered by doing the EE on Die Rise.
  10. Easy way to test this is backing yourself up against the couch on the escalator on a higher round, shoot the ground at the bottom, let them pile a bit and then shoot the group. On a higher round they spawn frequently enough to keep the chain going. There is still always a gap in spawning where the chain doesn't carry so I'd be really surprised to see someone do an entire round with one shot. This is sneaky but think of it this way. These survivors don't all get along. Technically if people were to fully embrace their characters attitudes/mentality then there would be times where their characters would do sneaky stuff to each other like this. I picture Rus on an elevator and Marlton shooting zombies and about to jump on the elevator to escape and Rus waving at him as the elevator goes up leaving Marlton to survive alone lol. To me it just seems logical. On the other hand, playing as a team it isn't wise to deceive your team mates but hey, if this were a true apocalypse I would do what I must to ensure my own(and my loved ones)survival.
  11. General strategies: 1) Back yourself into a corner that has relatively even ground in front of you. Take 3 steps forward and drop your trample-steam then back into the corner. You won't even need to fire a bullet. 2) Set your Trample-steam down anywhere you can run a circle around. Run circles but cut close to the Trample-steam on one of the arcs so that the jumpers try to cut across it to get you and kill themselves. Good locations: a) Corner strat: Literally anywhere the ground is relatively flat and not facing an open ledge. Circle strat: First room, in front of PDW, Trample-steam table, next to ramp on roof, in front of double elevators on the roof, in front of first mystery box location, next to big hole in floor and below it, buddah room, in front of Siliquifier table (tight), around sewing machines just outside the power room. Trample-steam tips: a) Any time you put down your trample-steam in either strategy be mindful of where you are pointing it. Ex: in front of the Trample-steam table don't put it facing off the roof or towards the elevator shaft, always point it towards the wall or the build table. When running in the restaurant area (near the top of the slide to the mystery box on the other side of the bar)there is actually a hole in the ceiling. Put your trample-steam below this hole and run circles around it, some of the jumpers spawn from that hole and will drop right down onto the trample-steam. c)If with a group its easy to find a place to back yourself into and then everyone lays their trample-steams down in a row in front of them. ex: on the floor with the trample-steam build table in corner across from the B23r your team can back themselves against the wall and take 4-5 steps forward and set 3 trample-steams side by side across the gap. Step back and your whole team doesn't have to do anything. Tip when setting up your Trample-steam: a)Jumper rounds come between rounds 5-7 and then about every 5 rounds after that. Set up your trample-steam in your corner of choice near the end of the 4th round so it is ready to go for the jumper round to start. Jump behind it and set a claymore down to make sure it's in the right spot after the first one comes at you. Set a claymore or two down while waiting for your trample-steam to set. c) stockpile claymores facing a wall to be used during a jumper round. This is good in case your trample-steam breaks, or you're having trouble in general. d) set up a little mine field of claymores in a corner facing out and if you get to where you have a huge group behind you and no way to kill them run them into that corner let them explode and then make a break for a trample-steam. Tips when knifing/knuckling: a)Get a bit of a lead on the jumper and then turn and crouch and knife. Be very careful because it's easy to get overwhelmed if you don't turn and run away immediately. One swipe is like half a hit from a zombie but when 3-4 swipe you at once you'll go down quick. Note: In solo once you have 6 perks there is no benefit from getting the perk bottle. Just shoot them and get your max ammo. With a team once everyone has 6 perks just shoot them and get your max ammo. I find people still try to struggle to not shoot even though everyone has their 6 perks, that's just silly. That's about all I can think of. Jumper rounds are a gimmie round, just like zombies as long as you stay ahead of the horde they can't catch you. No matter where you are on the map there is a way to utilize one of these two strategies.
  12. I knew it was something like that. In the end though the Electric guy technically has nothing to do with the name "Avagadro" correct?
  13. Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't the name Avagadro come from one of the trolls prior to the actual map coming out and then it just stuck when the map was released. That's why so many people get their panties in a bunch when you call the electric guy the Avagadro because there is actually no reference anywhere as to what his name is other than him being referred to as "him"
  14. I doubt the weapons become more powerful. The "more powerups" comments reminds me of people who used to throw grenades at Jug on ascension from the first room lol
  15. As the announcer, everyone can hear Richtofen. All of the characters have comments talking to the announcer for ammo etc.. Stu is obviously the only one hearing voices. I'm thinking the same voices that Richtofen used to hear in Black Ops 1. This is likely whoever's driving at the time (Sam/Richtofen) It's definitely Richtofen on Transit so why wouldn't it be him on Die Rise? The question is why? Why Stu and not the others. There's some back story that we haven't seen yet. Consuming zombie flesh is the likely culprit in my opinion. Stu insinuates he has consumed zombie flesh, so as per above maybe this gives him some sort of link with Richtofen directly. I don't think it's a "range of hearing" thing as much as I think it's a supernatural subconscious type thing from consuming 115. This means in ways Richtofen can control Stu. He hasn't been completely consumed like the zombies have but he has enough in his system that he can start to hear the driver.
  16. I do this a lot. Here's the thing though... If everyone jumps into the elevator at the beginning, drop down, one person with a part sends everyone back up, turns on the power and rides the double elevators to the roof. That person can actually get to the table before the other 3 do. The trample steam can be built, the power on, all in round one. This way you don't struggle with the timing of dropping down with 2 parts.
  17. I try to run with a points gun and a one hit kill gun. I shoot the drunk zombies as I'm training so they respawn as runners and join the train. They are quite annoying at times though.
  18. I searched the forum but didn't come across anywhere mentioning this. This could be a given but I honestly didn't know it worked this way until my brother showed me the other night. Sorry if it was previously discussed. If so please link me as I'd like to read the thread. I've seen many people use the Siliquifier in different ways like slicking up the floor then shooting the zombies with regular guns, blasting zombies with it, using it like a normal gun and picking them off etc... I personally gather up the horde and shoot one shot into it and continue circling the horde around the one puddle. The splash damage when a zombie explodes will get on the other zombies and continue to hop to the rest of them and kill the entire horde with one shot. The more zombies spawning the better as the new zombies that join the horde will take some splash damage and continue the effect. In later rounds if done properly with a steady flow of spawning zombies you can literally run through the round only using a few shots. It's genius. Best wonder weapon ever made in my opinion. (only because you get points for your kills, otherwise it'd still be the Thunder gun for me personally)
  19. Many issues with Who's who. Sometimes the song keeps playing even after you die or are revived. Sometimes it will glitch where you only have the ability to use one gun. Can't cycle, can't use claymores or tramplesteam. The only way we found to fix it is to pack or repack your gun. I've sat trample steams down and had them bounce across the screen. Something triggers elevators to move floors super quick, almost instantly. (ex: I'm riding the power elevator down to the siliquifier, when it arrives buddy jumps on it and it takes off immediately.) Most times it takes 5-6 seconds if you're standing on it. I've gotten the Tranzit sound glitch twice now since the latest update. Never got it on Die Rise before that. Not to mention all the connectivity problems, inability to create lobby's.. etc.. Zombie spawns as mentioned above. There is always at least one person with 2-3 times more kills than everyone else in the lobby and my team is pretty even skill wise. There are some definite issues with this game. Hopefully Treyarch fixes some of this stuff, according to the twitter response above it looks like they're listening so thats good.
  20. The first one he definitely went too fast. The second one is the best example you've given so far. Something screwy there for sure.
  21. I agree and disagree with this. There is a general glitch in blops2 where two players can't occupy the same spot at the same time in certain situations. Little things like slides and ladders and things allow for players to "bump" into each other and go down. For example if you are on the roof of the diner by the ladder and someone climbs up at the same time often you will both go down. I've seen entire teams go down from this. If you hit a slide together or are at the bottom of a slide at the exact same time as someone comes down you both could be downed. If two people jump onto a trample steam together at the same time it can down you both as well. Just did this last night actually. Many times someone has been complaining about going down for no reason in the elevator shaft it is because of 1 of two reasons. One is the above scenario where someone was following two close and they "bumped" on the slide, downing one or both players. The other reason is that even though your screen doesn't go red from one of the drops in the shaft, you essentially take a little damage. (like the difference between a swat from a zombie and a swat from a jumper-half a hit basically) It doesn't turn you red but if taken in succession with another light hit may turn you red. Sometimes people drop down a level and don't realize they have taken a "light" hit, drop down again and they're red. If the 2nd drop down happens to be a slide, you could slide down fast enough to take the next hit before the first one regenerated and down the player. I'm not saying there aren't any falling glitches or bad game mechanic design by Treyarch, I'm just saying that a lot of peoples downs and complaints can be logically explained. I could be wrong but in that last video the guy had a player coming down right behind him. They may have bumped and one if not both of them were downed when they hit the slide.
  22. You didn't pick up a Nuke from knifing Bob? We'd have to see the video.
  23. Agreed here. I wouldn't mind one bit if all that stuff was only available for hardened edition customers. I think they got shafted a bit but then again it is also buyer beware. The wording could go either way imo. I personally haven't seen any games that sold a special edition package that gave the person more game content in the way of (levels, maps, etc) other than small redundant things like camo's reticles, characters, maybe a gun or two. Most of those come with a shirt or book or something don't they? I may be wrong but giving someone an extra map for buying hardened edition kind of limits the amount of overall players playing the game. Don't they usually keep that kind of content separate from package deals? I've never bought a special edition.. anything really.. maybe that old Metallica box set that came with the live concert stuff lol.
