  1. If it is a film reel and a microphone, do you think it would be the return of our celebrity cast? I know this isn't much info to go on, but MP 2 for BO featured the celebrity cast. Could it be the same for this Mp2? Also, I do know Danny Trejo was working with Treyarch on something for BO2. COuld that be it?
  2. Sorry, sometimes I don't think I explain myself enough. I understand that the original 4 would be angry with Richtofen, but what I was trying to get at was that Maxis and Richtofen realize that the O4 are the key to thwarting the other. Not necessarily that Tank, Takeo, and Nikolai are willing to help Richtofen or Maxis, but almost as if they are fated to do it. I was trying to say that they are the key piece to this puzzle. The reason I thought that this might be a possibility is due to the time gap within the events of Moon and Green Run. I was sort of going off of the lack of information we know from Moon-Green Run. That maybe Maxis and Richtofen know something that we don’t. After all the years of chaos, destruction, and zombies they have realized that they need the O4 to complete their master plan. The O4 have no say in whether or not they will help either one, but Maxis or Richtofen need them for some unforeseen purpose. Maybe they are needed mend the rift and restore Earth for Richtofen or help Maxis come to his physical form(and whatever else he is planning)? And for the fight for power, I was thinking that maybe they need the power to teleport them from the Moon or maybe the O4 are trapped in Aether. I know its a shot in the dark, but I thought it was worth a shot. I hope that makes more sense and sorry for any confusion.
  3. Thanks! I will give it a read! I thought that the Iran-Contra affair would have some connection to BO2 (Haven't really played the campaign), but I swore I heard he would make some appearance in zombies.
  4. I just had a quick suggestion for the Zombie storyline. BE warned, this is a conglomeration of a couple of posts I made on the official COD forums, they are old. Sorry for any confusion! I really hope this is the section that Treyarch reads for suggestions I was wondering if thet could add a new playable character to the zombie storyline. The whole Nazi Occultist aspect of the story has a whole “Indiana Jones” feel to it and I was wondering if you could add an archeologist/historian character to the story. BUT, this is not simply for fan boy purposes, I have legitimates reasons: 1. It’s a perfect homage- The entire zombie storyline revolves around Nazi Occultism and Occultism in general: The Black Sun, the Vril energy, Shangri’la, and the Illuminati. Many of these Occult topics connect to ancient history and places of myth and legend. Every Indiana Jones movies connects to some relic of ancient history of untold and or occult power trying to get into the hands of the Nazis, Soviets, and etc. The movies follow the same basic plot formula of Zombies (more or less). The Indiana Jones series is WHY we have Tomb Raider and Uncharted (Fun Fact, Nolan North, the voice of Richtofen, voices Nathan Drake!). This series is the progenitor of all this Nazi stuff. 2. Brock and Gary’s story isn’t finished- Brock and Gary were some type of archeologists or explorers who seemed to have a very important role in the story. But, their adventure into Agartha was left in a time loop. It just seemed weird to me that they were loosely connected to the zombie storyline. They were on their own adventure not related to the Zombie journey. You just helped Brock and Gary get to where they need to be and after a long EE they get stuck in a time loop. Brock was the first character to actually mention Agartha and he had an interesting backstory. I find it weird to drop these two characters (well, at least it seems). 3. No other Character bridge the gap between the occult and zombies- Richtofen and Marlton deal with the sciencey and experimental side of the story. Samuel and Richtofen are mere tools to the occult force. Nikolai, Takeo, Dempsy, and possibly Russman are all soldiers caught in the cross fire. Misty, as far as, I know is a civilian who, has some connection to Green Run. Unless further information is revealed, every character doesn't know the entire story. It is as if they are "beating around the bush" and not fully aware of the deeper force at work. Again, Brock and Gary were the only two guys ever in the story to reach the "fan level" and hit on topics that revealed the occult side of the story. 4.He picks up Richtofen's mantle (If he sides with Dempsey, Nikolai, and Takeo)- Even though Samantha is in Richtofen's body, I don't think we will play as her again ( I could be completely wrong). To me, the body switching seems more of a onetime event and unique feature for one map. Samantha leaves a sort of gap within the team. Without Richtofen, the 3 other characters do not have any direction nor, a leader. He would become their leader. This character could promise Samantha that he will take her place until he gets her body back meanwhile, she could stay at the Moon or preferably somewhere safe. With the addition of this character's connection to Agartha, the remaining crew’s vengeance towards Richtofen, and Samantha’s desire for her body, our beloved characters have a reason to be relevant to the current story. Long story short, could we continue the story via some archeologist/historian character related to Brock and Gary. He could help solve the occult mysteries of the story and figure out the otherworldly force behind this all. To Further my argument and my point, Treyarch has referenced Indiana Jones on numerous occasions. 1. Nacht der Untoten black ops loading screen- http://images.wikia.com/callofduty/imag ... g_Screen.j pg The top right image is a reference to the end of the first movie where the Ark of the Covenant was stored. http://www.sullivanclinton.com/gallery/ ... ENNSYLVANI A/Raiders_Of_The_Lost_Ark_Government_Warehouse2.jpg The connection- in the 1st movie the Nazis were trying to seek the power of the Ark of the Covenant. The Ark was a physical representation of God’s covenant with man and is an important artifact in Judeo-Christian belief. At the end of the movie, the U.S. government gets ahold of the Ark ( out of the hands of the Nazis) and stores it in place where all mysterious, all powerful, and experimental things go- an Area 51 type storage facility. In Zombies it would make sense that this now captured Nazi and Soviet technology is stored in a US facility like this. 2. Nuketown-]Although I am not a fan of the 4th movie and I know “Nuke Towns” were actual places during the Cold War, this map is a reference to the series nonetheless. Before you watch the clip, escaping a nuclear blast in a fridge is not possible (The more you know!). This scene was one of the many reasons people didn’t like the 4th movie. Anyway back to Cod. The Scene- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sVD9ex6fDIg Nuketown- http://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb2 ... /2/2c/Bare _Load_Screen_Nuketown_BO.jpg 3. Unused map name, possibly even a Zombie Map http://callofduty.wikia.com/wiki/Temple_of_Doom According to CODwiki- “Temple of Doom is a cut map from Call of Duty: Black Ops found in the game files when Escalation is downloaded. It may have been replaced with Shangri-La, the Zombie map in the Annihilation map pack. Temple of Doom is a reference to an Indiana Jones movie of the same name”. If this is real, see the connection? Ancient temples and the Occult. ALSO, one of the original plots for this Indy movie was meant to involve zombies. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indiana_Jo ... le_of_Doom 4. Shangri-la- At the end of the Easter Egg a crystal skull can be seen on the altar. Now lets dive into the Indy Universe. Indy seems to be right on par with what is going on in zombies. I think a character like him could handle himself in the Zombie series. Apparently these books are considered cannon to the Indiana Jones series. This is where things get interesting. 1. Zombies- Indy has tackled Zombies on a few of his adventures and some of them were Nazis! http://indianajones.wikia.com/wiki/Zombie "Four years later, Doctor Matthias Jäger resurrected Nazi soldiers with the Philosopher's Stone but was unable to wield the artifact and he and the zombies were disintegrated". Notice the connection to an all powerful occult relic used to bolster the Nazi's power. 2. Indiana Jones and the Hollow Earth Before you read the quote, be prepared for Indy's very cliche "side kick". Here is the excerpt from the novel's summary. Notice some interesting overlaps. "A violent storm, a dying Arctic explorer, and a curious wooden box make Indy the target of fanatical Nazi agents. Inside the box are a slice of Icelandic stone with mythological powers and a journal hinting at the existence of an underground civilization near the top of the world. Indy and Ulla Tornaes, a beautiful Danish scientist, set out into the Arctic wastes, racing against Nazi explorers, to search for the lost city. Their quest will lead them to a massive cavern beneath the snow, portal to the legendary Ultima Thule—the key to Hitler's mad plan for world domination" http://indianajones.wikia.com/wiki/Indi ... llow_Earth Long story short, I feel integrating an Indiana Jones character would really further the series and help further the plot. He could be the "fifth portrait" in Kino and could assist Dempsy, Nik, and Tak, on their journey to Richtofen. Now my questions to you. Do you think a character like this is needed? DO you feel Brock and Gary play an important role in the story? Would you like to see a descendant of one of them try to pick up the mantle and solve the mystery? DO you agree with my assumption that all of the other characters seem to be unaware of the true reason for the zombies and the MDT? Do you feel my reasoning for this addition is sound or do you feel the characters in the story can handle this aspect on their own? I hoped you enjoyed my post and once again, thanks for reading!
  5. Thank you!I am sure I will! It is about time I joined.
  6. This was apart of a previous post I made, but I felt it was necessary to make it another thread. WHAT if the easter eggs in TranZit and Die Rise are to get the original four back? What if they key to the zombie saga lie within our heroes from WAW and BO? Are Maxis and Richtofen are trying to get Tank and Co. for their own advantage to thwart the each other? Not necessarily that Tank, Takeo, and Nikolai are willing to help Richtofen or Maxis, but almost as if they are fated to do it. The O4 have no say in whether or not they will help either one, but Maxis or Richtofen need them for some unforeseen purpose.
  7. I am changing this post to be more concise and organized. The final question, question #3, I have decided to move into its own thread. Anyway, my point of this thread is to see if I can get any answers on these unanswered questions. Essentially way back in June, there were references made to Oliver North and Danny Trejo being connected to Zombies. It was mentioned in TheSyndicateProject's videos. (Here it is) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=29XEGjJmW_w I haven’t heard anything about this recently. Can anyone shed some light on these questions? PLEASE READ the last question it is the most important one of all(Moved to its own thread) 1. Wasnt there supposed to be a map like 5 with Olly North and Regan? 2. What was Danny Trejo working with 3arch on? 3. AND most importantly, WHAT if the easter eggs in TranZit and Die Rise are to get the original four back? What if they key to the zombie saga lie within our old heroes? Are Maxis and Richtofen are trying to get Tank and Co. For their own advantage and to thwart the other? (Moved) Update- With the announcement of Mob of the Dead, my old celebrity theory was thrown out the window. But, this does not explain why Trejo and I believe Micheal Rooker were quoted as working wth Treyarch. Are they somehow going to make a cameo in MoTD? I know it wouldn't make sense, but if they are not featured in MoTD, that would have to mean they would return as playable characters again. Right?
  8. Ok Gotcha! I do feel that Treyarch does take liberties with what sources they pull from so, I do try to take into consideration poetic license. And I meant Biblical in the sense that their supposed origin is connected to Noah and The Flood. I did not mean to say that they are angels or demons. All I was saying was that they were a group of beings ( I would assume something close to man) who, survived Noah's Flood by descending into the Earth’s Core. But my confusion is that this book, Vril, the Power of the Coming Race, is the origin of the Vril-ya concept and it states that they are some type of antediluvian civilization( I googled it, the name essentially means "before the Deluge, the flood). Once again, I understand Treyarch takes their own liberties, but my confusion is that the story specifically states what they are. Please do not think I am trying to bash other theories or disagree with anyone. I am just confused on why there are so many different interpretations of these beings. As time went on did the concept of Vril-ya people become associated with aliens and or other types of inter-dimensional beings? Did the Vril concept become synonymous with other extraterrestrial life?
  9. I guess that’s my luck, the first major impression I made, I already did something wrong. Whoops, I'm really sorry about that. I have been out of the loop for a while now. I was going to post this earlier, but I was away for the weekend and my phone couldn't do that massive of a post. It kept getting pushed back. I also transferred this from word and I thought I fixed all the mistakes. Do you want me to make it smaller or something? I am really new to the layout.
  10. Thanks! I really appreciate it! I really am glad to be here. I can finally get some answers. What is really funny is I am working on a post about Indiana Jones, Brock and Gary, and a connection to zombies.
  11. Here is my take on this song. There is overlap and parts I do agree with, but I truly believe the POV is Richtofen describing the creation of the zombies and his current state. Also throughout the song Richtofen is repeating/telling and believing what he is being told by the voices. Rictofen’s possession by the Voice has become overpowering. He is telling us the past, the present, and future. He talks about some type of cataclysmic event that might occur. The voices- the supernatural force within the machine. Xenopsylla Cheopis MDCLXV -Same as Rissole25, the connection to the Plague, Roman Numeral 115. We used the helicase Bind the CXV - Same, bondage of 115 to DNA. Shows the creation of zombies Non-responsive And their ferritin is high In vivo But still seem to be alive - Same thing no need to elaborate. Controls are feeling fine Despite the awful sounds - Here is where I depart. The slight change in pace of the song to me indicates that Richtofen has switched from talking about the past to the present. Almost like a chorus, this part is not really connected to the current story. Now, what is he talking about? The Pyramid! This is Richtofen getting used to being in control of the Zombies. The awful sounds? The screams of the undead or the Demon within the machine. He is hearing the voices within the machine that will soon be his undoing. Brought the incidence of Tallowy offal down - In this case incidence refers to epidemiology. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Incidence_(epidemiology) The rate the Zombie Plague is spreading fast. It has become an epidemic. Like Rissole25, tallow is fat and offal is butchered meat, I believe this refers to Humans. We have become their cattle. The awful sounds are the Voice demanding blood. We all fall down We fall down We all fall down We fall down -Connection to "Ring around the Rosy" and zombies. But, possible the atom bomb or nuclear weapons (They are mentioned later). The part before this line in "Ring around the Rosy" is “Ashes to Ashes” then “We all fall down”. Biblical reference to “Ashes to Ashes, Dust to Dust”. Another illusion to death, but also reference to the destruction brought on by weapons. The ashes from a nuclear holocaust. The martyrs brethren Were not to be set free - The maryrs maybe are the heroes. The TranZit group? It could also be all the trapped characters including Dempsey and CO. They are the key to this epidemic. They could be martyrs in both ways. Dempsey and Co. started the Zombie Apocalypse as they are the Martyrs of the Flesh. Or Dempsey and CO. are the key to stopping this epidemic. We need to set them free. But, we are not worthy of setting them free and deserve our crime OR the voice does not want them free. In vitro planet earth In vivo you and me - In Vitro again a controlled experimental field. Earth is the testing ground for the zombies and or the starting of the master plan of the Voice. Another guess- Now I am sure I am One HUNDRED percent wrong, but I tried to find the Latin root and nominative form (the normal form) of Vitro. Nothing matched up to my knowledge based on Latin grammatical construction. I even checked the Latin dictionary. According to the internet the supposed matches for Vitro are vita : life, way of life. vitiosus : vicious, full of vice, corrupt. vitium : fault, vice, crime. vito : to avoid, shun. vitualis-e : manliness, virtures vituperium : insult http://www.archives.nd.edu/cgi-bin/look ... atin=vitro I am assuming they are just finding the closest words similar spelling, construction, and meaning, so I don’t think it necessarily comes from anyone. I just find some of the matches interesting. Worth a gander I think. In Vivo refers to an experiment (Most likely the answer). But a Latin translation could literally mean “In Living, In alive, In fresh”. Richtofen could be saying you and I are alive. We both are fresh; maybe un-touched by the plague? He had them watch me And lock everything around He told me You seem awful down - Possible Retrospect of Richtofen. Referring to the voice telling him what to do during the experiment. “Them watch me”- Illuminati watching Richtofen? Do they follow the voice’s commands? “Lock everything down”- Locking Maxis and Samantha in the room? Der Riese? The first set of lyrics point to some being of some sort who seems to be talking to Richtofen ( Like he does with Samuel). The voice seems to be playing some manipulative role. It notices Richtofen is "down"( maybe his mental state? or his schizophrenia?) which, makes him susceptible to these voices. The voice is about to give him a command of some sort. Richtofen could also being regretting what he did. HE feels bad for what he did but, the voice tells him otherwise. We all fall down We fall down We all fall down We fall down - Same It will end in flashes And we'll choke on ashes And we'll all fall down - An Atom Bomb, Nuclear Weapon, Emp. Something that creates a blast of light. Ashes could specifically refer to the ashes brought with the advent of something nuclear weapons detonating. Like a dust cloud. We will all die from this bomb “Choke on ashes”. We will literally choke. The end of the Zombie Apocalypse will end with an explosion. It could be a nuclear weapon to kill the zombies OR it could be the intention of the Voice to destroy Earth. In the latter is that why Richtofen wants to “Mend the Rift”? To stop the obliteration. The Manhattan Project, Green Run, and the 115 missiles, Anyone? Long lives the phantom I hear him sing and Scream out his anthem -THIS IS KEY! A phantom is a shade, shadow, evil spirit type thing Richtofen is possessed or being manipulated! The set of lyrics make me think that the "Phantom" is this demon type being. The voice. The phantom is his master or his controller. Notice "I Hear him sing and Scream his anthem". It is like he is being possessed. It calls him and he answers back, a forced or blind devotion to this force. He must carry out his “anthem”. I feel the shadows Crying Running Coming For me Too dark To see His time is coming to an end. HE is weakening. The shadows are consuming him. Maybe the tortured souls/zombies plague him. He hears their pain OR the Voice has finally decided to take over. Bedsides the crying, I think the shadows are the latter. Richtofen is a mere pawn and he is about to be consumed. “Too dark to see”- Sleeping aka a form of death We all fall down We fall down We all fall down We fall down - Same It will end in flashes And we'll choke on ashes And we'll all fall down - Same It will end in ashes of their lives We can still see flashes in our eyes - . Their lives- the zombies or the human race. OR could it be the TranZit gang or Dempsey and Co.; their “Ashes of their lives” the martyr concept again? “Flashes” Nuclear Weapons again. “Flashes” Maybe and EMP? Makes me think about the flash of the EMP stops the light in the zombies eyes. But until it crashes And the atom smashes All our minds will Just fade away - “Crashes and ATOM smashes” a nuclear weapon being dropped? Atom Bomb. Binary Fission? The end brought on by some type of explosion once again. - I would say the explosion kill us all “all or minds…fade away”, but the Lyric says “Until the it crashes”. So maybe we will all become Zombies or slaves to the Voice? We need to be freed? It will end in flashes And we'll choke on ashes -Same And we'll fall - This is the “prophetic” end or what is meant to happen. We are all dead. Maybe it can be stopped?
  12. I should have done this a while ago, but here is my introduction! Obviously I am new to the forums, but I am not new to zombies. I have been playing since WAW and I have been hooked since. One of my two favorite areas of study is history (I include philosophy, theology, mythology, a part of history as well) and its presence in zombies has kept me following the zombie storyline ever since I was in the 8th grade! My other favorite is psychology but, that is unrelated. Before joining this site, I usually spent my forum dwelling in the official COD Zombies forum since WAW. I have been around for a lot of zombie related events, dating back to the Der Riese “Extra Room” theory, the legendary WAW MP4, the anarchy that started on the WAW forums when MW2 came out, and the supposed major Moon “leak” that happened on the BO forum (Don’t worry, I know that leaks are not allowed here. That’s what the COD forums are for!(just kidding)). Those are just to name a few. The one thing I wonder is how many of the official COD forum users have come here. Every time a new Treyarch game comes out and the new zombie forum related to the new game comes out, all of the previous members that used to post don’t return. I remember during the Black Ops Saga, I used to read Blackoptiger’s posts and now I have not seen anything from him. I believe he post he has posts here right? I came to this site because in my “travels” I have heard a lot about CODZ. It is essentially the Mecca of zombies. I have a habit of asking a lot of questions regarding the zombie storyline and I love to discuss it. I am the kind of person who, must know everything and to get as much depth as possible. So, I thought this site would be a great fit! Anyway, that is my Zombie introduction. Also, I play on handheld, console, and pc but, my modern COD games are on Xbox (Old ones are on GameCube/Wii). Anyone like my sig?
  13. Hi everyone! I tend to ask a lot of questions, so get ready for the first batch. I have a few questions regarding posting topics and signatures. My questions: 1. I am more than positive that this is not possible but, is there a way I can incorporate a picture saved on my computer into my signature (like my avatar)? Signatures only accept urls right? 2. A question about my questions. In the general zombie forums, I posted two questions that have been plaguing me for a while, but it seems like they will be pushed back into the second and third pages ( Please, don't take it as I am blaming anyone for this). I know I can’t bump my own posts but, heard I can link my posts in my signature. What would be the best way to incorporate it into my sig? I don't want to make the text too small or the signature too large. 3. I have a topic in mind that has to do with a character addition suggestion to zombies, but it has a heavy discussion aspect to it. I am not sure where to post it being that it is somewhat of a hybrid of discussion/suggestion. Would it go in the future zombies section or are posts like these not allowed on the forum? Thanks for all your help!
  14. The one question that plagues me is whether or not the Vril People are "Alien-aliens" or aliens in the sense of something being foreign. Now, I know that The Coming Race says the Vril-Ya are humans who, escaped Noah's flood. But, I have heard people refer to them as extraterrestrial beings. Which one is true? Here is my theory. Personally, I think it is the Biblical People because it would connect to the Demonic Presence within zombies. If Noah's Flood was meant to wipe out the evils of this world and the Vril People managed to escape it without being on Noah's guest list I presume they are not in favour with God. Their power has to come from a different and darker source. Think about it. What person could escape a cataclysmic event brought on by a diety without the aid of another diety? To retreat within the earth's core is like a metaphor for evil. They are going into the core of the earth, retreating from the surface and light (I know the Earth's core does have lava, but maybe not for the Hollow Earth. Either Way this is a metaphor). They use the power of the BLACK Sun. I am not denying the technological superiority of the Vril People, I am just saying the reason they got to this point was from a little help, if you catch my drift. What do you guys think? Sorry for any mistakes and or spelling errors I am doing this on my phone.
  15. Excluding the song Nightmare, which I think is an AX7 song that was not made for BO, all the others have specific POVs. WAW songs- Sam's point of view. BO- Sam's POV BO AX7 Not ready to die- Richtofen's POV. BO2 AX7- Survivors BO2- Richtofen
  16. The one thing that bothers me is the tone of the cultist and his reference towards their leader. The cult is connected to Richtofen, but when the cultist leader says "He has abandoned us", it makes me think they no longer care for Richtofen. I seem to be on a role today with this thought, but, I wonder if they have given into another power. I have not done the easter egg or anything yet, but I heard people saying that you can hear Richtofen moaning and asking Samuel for help. I don't know if it is true, but it would make sense if my theory is right. If Richtofen is losing power, the cult is gaining power, Richtofen is losing influence with the cult, and the cult turns elsewhere for guidance, is this a major turning point in zombies? Is Samuel needed because he can stop the cult? Is Samuel the cult( Although, I dont think Samuel would be the "he" referenced)? Am I in the ballpark?
  17. First of all, you did a really nice job! You saved me a lot of time and research! The one thing I was wondering about is the POV of the song. I think it is from Richtofen and he is lamenting about his fate and how he can't control the zombies. "Carrion" and the songs from Sam's POV mention something about their inability to control things and their sorrow. They also refer to some supernatural force that is controlling them. With this is mind The lines "He had them watch me And lock everything around He told me You seem awful down" and " Long lives the phantom I hear him sing and Scream out his anthem" seem to make me think that Richtofen is talking about his voices. The second set of lyrics make me think that the "Phantom" is this demon type being. The phantom is his master or his controller. Notice "I Hear him sing and Scream his anthem". It is like he is being possessed. And the part about the crashing and the atom smashing made me think of things nuclear weapons, the Manhattan Project, Green Run, and the 115 missiles. Maybe, a bomb is the only way to wipe out the infection? Anyway, Thats mah 2cents!
  18. Hi! Getting back to the theory that Area 51 had pocket outbreaks in the 60s before COTD might be supported by Nuketown. Nuketown Zombies takes place before and after moon, as the description says something like “Where the past and future meet”. So, my guess is that before “Moon” Nuketown, which I assume would be located in the vicinity of Area 51, experienced a pocket outbreak. When you die in Nuketown (I believe it has to be before round 25) you see the 115 missiles hitting Nuketown. The only unanswered questions is “Did the CIA agents time travel?” and “How can you hear the TranZit characters voices?(When you knife the shelters)” My guess is that Nuketown is almost a Limbo between the past and future. Hope this helps!
