Yes, the coin rattling. Very strange. If you hear that humming, check for Cocoons. Since it was in canal, i would check the ritual area for the large flower pods. -- On JJ Purps and the Black Lace Altar Band: I did Jessica's ritual last, and the purple JJ was already there, before i set the Hairpiece down. My working theory for now is that it appears after the second ritual piece is set down. Stretching the grey matter, maybe "Ritual, Fisty, Ritual" means do 2 rituals, something with Fisty, then the other 2 rituals.

At what round? I often kill them on the first flyer round with 3-4 grenades, all hits. Stand in the Loading Dock at start. Wait for them. Throw a grenade just outside the door. Kills them all easily in 3-4 grenades. No point bonus nor free perk so far. :) Maybe slide through traps on higher rounds to get it perfect? I'm not saying that you are wrong, just that 100% on the first flyer round didn't matter. Also, it is easy enough to get 100% with a shotgun in several areas of the map, by i can't guarantee that with meatballs. Example: first floor of Ruby Rabbit: the flyers all fly right at eye level for real easy pickings (note that the MA usually appears upstairs). I wish they would stop dropping max ammo outside of the map...

On out of map: The Footlight exploit is ridiculous. You can just jump in and out of the map as needed. The whole team can chill there. Maybe a lucky group of flyers could kill you. I've done over 50 rounds there just to check it out (local, offline). Even more ridiculous than the Ruby Rabbit exploits due to the ease of getting in and out and because of the large area and ease of getting drops (power ups). Edit: and making it especially ridiculous is the fact that Marge spawns in and she just stands there while you shoot her 3 heads. Leave to get alchemical antithesis once in a blue moon, and over 100 should be quite easy.

First, you've touched on it fairly well. For the über pros, it is just a time saver and/or doesn't matter too much. My "decent player" opinion: (I've made it to 57 and 59 without effort, i find the map easy enough. I haven't tried for high rounds. Just so my skills-to-opinion ratio can be judged. No glitches used). :) Margwas may not hurt pros, but I'm old and blind enough that having to deal with these every 2 rounds is annoying and it's also enough to cause me to make errors. If not dying to some weird glitch, i find myself making errors dealing with these guys as the game drags on, which gets me downed sometimes. And frankly, the majority of players are probably lower skilled than I (and others here), likely having more trouble with them then we forum regulars do. Like them or hate them, i feel that stopping their spawn IS glitching. I don't particularly care and am not looking down my nose at anyone. If I'm in a game, it will glitch, it's just an effect that i have on things, so i can't point my finger at anyone. Flag Margwa, and Flag Ammo are just, in my opinion, playing the game as it is. I don't see any glitches in my understanding of the word. Is zombie cloning a glitch? Was it intended? It makes the game better early, and it won't reasonably affect a 100+ round game, but if it was somehow missed by the homeless, drunk, crack heads that apparently were hired by Trollarch to playtest, and therefore not intended, then i would say it's a glitch, though mild. Until otherwise noted, i don't consider it glitched, just a game mechanic. But again, i feel it affects the game less than the Margwa spawn issue. Shrug.

Hey team, a poster here named Anubidayz messaged me this little find: After the egg chamber was open, he looked at it in Beast mode (presumably a different round), and the symbols were in front of the eggs. He suggested that it may just be a visual glitch, but it wouldn't hurt to look into it. He says that he could zap them to make them go away (presumably like when you get them wrong, or right). Questions for us: Are they the same symbols as before the chamber is open? If no, then it is definitely something. If yes, most likely it just glitched, but we should check it out. If they are the same exact symbols in the same order, what happens if we zap them again? Or finish egg, put in chamber, zap before taking sword? And other variables... Do the Tram symbols change after the egg chamber is open, or after the Reborn sword? As far as I've seen, they do not change, but i can't say that I've looked at them too often after the egg step since the Tram is rather extraneous due to the rifts to subway acting as shortcuts. Anyway, it was an interesting find, even if just a glitch. --- Follow up: i haven't got this to happen yet. May be an xbone glitch? Still trying.

I've asked the same. See the T-Virus thread for lots of little things. The bend as it leaves the map in Canal seems too acute, like it is just background and not to be used. T-Virus comes from "Tranzit-Virus": the search for why Treyarch sucks so much, started by the bizarrely half-finished Tranzit with it's bizarre lights appearing around the map and " that's it? " design. Best guesses: 1. A deliberate joke referencing 'the second bus route' of TranZit, which did not exist. The road in Tranzit is blocked, the driver says something about changing route/gps, which means that it now goes to the Diner, rather than up the blocked road. Folk took this to mean that there was a hidden alternate route. Putting a nonfunctioning second Tram route in SoE is to mess with folks' minds. ---- 2. It was just ambiance, to make it look like the Tram goes to the rest of the city. This seems derpy, as having the Tram serve just the 3 districts would be sensible. ---- 3. Hidden path. This would likely have been found in the code by now.

On JJ: But if it's Arnie related, why would it appear with the Hairpiece? I don't get the connection. I would think that it would always be there, if it was for Arnie. Virus grate: i was confused, i thought that you asked where that useless grate was, like it couldn't be seen in next gen. Oops.
-
I hope that you find something, I'll keep an eye out next time I'm doing flag steps. On purple ground symbols: these appear after the second 'flag protection' step. When you have to run it over to the Keeper at the ritual, the purple symbols will be present. ---- Edit; and again, you show both Wasp and Parasite as 2 things. Headsplosion. Why would they type 'wasp' and 'parasite'?

Traps? Maybe. I really can't confirm nor deny, but i think that the answer is no. First time that i saw it was a long game and i probably used traps. Then i played a 'survival map' where i only played Junction and the district with Juggernog (Footlight in that game). In that game, i checked it out very early so it is unlikely that i had activated traps for any reason. --- Virus grate: Ruby Rabbit side of canal. Directly under the footbridge (from 'Peep Show' by CP switch, to the Workbench). Centered, same basic look, size, and distance off of the ground as the Badge grate. It appears empty with detritus.

On top of Altar, the JJ symbol is offset toward the window side. It is centered from stage left and right. It's about the relative width of the summoning cube. Dark purple, but clearly visible. Stand on the window side of the altar, and place the Hairpiece down, then you will immediately see it appear. It stays through rituals, swords, flag step iirc, i haven't looked beyond that. --- Also, i just posted a game with no Swords, PaP, or Subway, but the traps began making their sounds.
-
It's no small visual glitch, it's deliberate. Why her Altar, and why did it trigger when the ritual piece was placed? What character you are doesn't matter. It may relate to something known, but i didn't see any similar markings yet.

On Footlight bulb: interesting. As the other Rifts, and each workbench, have an oil lamp. On 360, there is no oil lamp, nor light of any kind, in Footlight Rift. Mess with the oil lamps after you open that rift...

He's never killed me himself, yet. But the game often glitches once he revives me: losing perks, instantly out of the game, spectating. Fun stuff. Like i said, I'm on 360, it may be worse. With that being said, i know that several xbone users have complained of being ignored by it.
-
I think that he is supposed to save your QR, but on 360, this counts towards your 3 QR limit. Example: I get QR, get downed (1QR gone). I buy a second QR, activate CP (Robot). Get downed (2nd QR gone), CP revives me instead of QR and gives me QR (This is third QR, the machine is now gone). 100% positive on this. I'm fairly sure that's glitched. ---- GG can definitely give more QR, and the Robot can revive you many times (though he often ignores you as well as you bleed out by his feet). He is quite the glitching king.

There is no cure once contracted.

That's the question. So many leads, but nothing is getting anywhere. Explore and let us know if you find anything. If you go through the tram door of Waterfront, right above you is a black and white sign that says CJ's printing, which is the only b+w sign that I've seen. I've wanted to look at that in noire mode, but haven't had any luck activating the noire mode.

Tried times 1000 by the community. Good thought, but done.

The Apothicon Servant quotes are clearly the same voice actor, with sound effects on his voice. Presumably it is supposed to be Maxis, but that's not guaranteed.

Note that, in this particular game, anything that gives you quick revive counts towards your 3 purchases. So, if you got the Perkaholic GGum, it gives you all of the maps perks this will count towards your 3 QR for the game. If you go down and the Robot (Civil Protector) revives you, he often buys you another Quick Revive for free. Note that he does not save the one you had, he gets you another. At least on 360. So, try to use these other methods after you bought your 3 QR for the game already. ---- Disappearing perks: the robot is rather glitched. 2 days ago, he got me up, bought me QR. I bought Stamin-Up in Junction, so i had 2 perks, then i bought Juggernog which made the QR and Stamina-Up disappear. Sigh. Why must zombies always be a glitch fest?

Hj? Maybe, considering that we are already fisting a squid. Shadows of Bestiality. --- Anyway, here is an odd little t-virus inducing thing: Yesterday, playing as Jessica, i noticed this weird purple J with a mirror-image J next to it, on the Black Lace Altar. It was there for most of the game, through different steps, but i didn't see when it occurred. It was only her Altar, no other. So today, I played as Nero and there was no JJ thing on his Altar, but when i put the Hairpiece on Jessica's Altar, it appeared. Her symbol has a name: Envy. Nobody else's does yet. A clue? If so, then why did it appear only once the Altar contracted Hairpiece? Does it go away after the lil Arnie upgrade? That seems odd that the hairpiece would be needed first as i don't think that you have to do the rituals first for the Arnie upgrade. Is 'J-reverse J' seen anywhere else? It's purple and vaguely points towards the window at the rear of the stage. Guess I'm gonna suck some zombies into there, en masse. Maybe get everything purple-graded and kill in and around Altar and/or window.

Shadows of Evil: Tips, tricks and Points of Interest
83457 replied to Black Hand Smith's topic in Shadows of Evil
Trip Mine speed boost: Fast stabs, fast run. When you stab, the speed at which your gun comes up dictates how long before you can stab again. When you run, the type of gun dictates your movement rate. If you have at least 1 Trip Mine, bring up the Trip Mine reticule for very fast melee recovery and a high movement rate. ------------ D-pad: Hit right to bring up TM. Then: Hit right to return to last gun. Or: hit Y (ps∆) to switch to next weapon rather than the previous in-hand weapon. -
I am considering the possibility, if upgrading exists currently, that the gun only says the very next clue that you need. If there is truth to this, we would need to get the gun after we've done whatever triggers (most of) the cues, then we should get the last cue or the 'upgrade complete' cue. Then it would be done, or be able to be PaP'd. Upgrade complete may not change the gun, it may change the PaP to accept it. Shrug. There must be a way, or they're fixing it to return when able. It can't be unupgradeable, i hate Trollarch too much to hate them more, it's a psychological impossibility. --- Treyarch, please don't shit the bed once again. You've been in the business too long to act this novice, and yet, here you are. Aren't you guys tired of the shame? Think of your families; do you really want them to have to wear bags on their heads in public? Sigh. Happy gaming?

Widow's wine turns your grenades into the WW effect. This happens when you throw them, and also happens when a zombie hits you. So, they act like 4 'charges' that trigger when hit. After 4, the effect is done (I think there is 4). So you could chuck all of your grenades to keep the last zombie from getting deaded from hitting you, if needed. The quick-leaving spider drops replenish this effect. Also, stabbing zombies gives a little of this effect, but does not take grenades away. Ugh, you guys have made me start using this annoying perk again. Ha. A guess; the red ones may appear after you pick up enough regular ones, or possibly, from X WW grenade kills. They are stronger for the higher rounds.

For the time being, their may be no Apothicon Servant upgrade
83457 replied to a topic in Shadows of Evil
On parasites: Just to be clear, they are parasites as far as i know. Ragdoll wrote out what looked like he was transcribing some of the code. He wrote both 'wasp' and 'parasite' in some of those lines, which is what i was asking about. That is all. It seems this was just his writing and they are still only called parasites. Sorry that i was confused by that and sowed further confusion, this was not my goal. :) --- Yes, para-site seeing. Train kills. Use the 3 districts to face the train the right way, kill parasites, and head to 4th district past canal on the 'track' there. --- How to upgrade AS: known methods: 1. Kidnap Trollarch heads, torture them with comfy chairs and soft cushions until they divulge the solution! (I'm joking, please don't call the NSA). 2. Delete updates, if the game doesn't freeze (which was it's wont), then play it and PaP the AS! -
On ritual dings: maybe they were added and not there at first. We 360 users had a whole lot of voice and sounds added in one of the patches. The new voice quotes really threw me off, before i realized that a bunch of static quotes were added. The Margwa now has asthma. Jessica would say 'why are you making so much noise...?' But he only stomped around. Now he has asthma as well, but none of his sounds seem to be '... Is it because I'm shooting you?'. Stamin-up still has no jingle.
