I loved all of the bo1 zombie tunes. Tranzit... Now there is an annoying song (and they removed the other 2 for supposedly being worse)...yikes.
-
From what I have read, it only happens if you have killed him in that game. Then, when a gersch gets gersched, he runs quickly backwards at you. I hate him, love to kill him, hate moon, don't play it.

I assume it is Treyarch trying to make reason out of us dying over and over. Just blurring the lines between the reality of 'it is a game, you die, restart' and the story 'it is real; you die and reappear at the begining of the adventure due to supernatural intervention'.

I noticed that the solo screen was different than the 4 man games...

CoDz official Die Rise general feedback and first impression
83457 replied to MegaAfroMan's topic in Die Rise
Yes, that slide area gets glitchy. Tranzit was uber easy (i loved it though), this is a little more reminiscent of a 'real' zombie map. So many possible avenues of travel. Turned cracks me up...seeing those high speed zombies running after me makes it hard to play because I laugh too much. -
CoDz official Turned general feedback and first impressions
83457 replied to MegaAfroMan's topic in Turned
I'm not sure what the long-term replayability is, but I have never laughed so hard playing zombies with my friends. The human could use some more gun options. Edit: this is a silly game, if you play for fun, you will be a winner, if you play to win, you are already a loser. -
Why don't the new zombie maps have to same feel to them?
83457 replied to TehGKBrief's topic in General Zombies Discussion
This is part true. The first ones will be nostalgic and feel 'right' because it is what we first experienced. But, that being said, ndu and verruckt were out when I played, snn came out within a week or so. But, for waw, Der Riese is king. Ndu does little for me beyond nostalgia, verruckt has charm, but still very basic. Snn was way too easy, but different (only waw zombies not built off of a map part). Black ops sucked in lots of the execution (bk for example, so glitchy overall), but I totally embraced those maps (though moon ranks lowest in my opinion, love nml idea though). I was not loving Tranzit, hardly wanted to play it, now it is my go-to map... Off to dl Die Rise... -
Official Ranking System Discussion and Theories
83457 replied to way2g00d's topic in General Zombies Discussion
For the record, I don't worry about nor judge others by their rank. I don't play for a couple of days and everything is gone=utterly pointless. Add in the fact that i jump into a solo game, figure something out and lay in the lava to die so I can head to work. I have almost the most deaths on my friends list. Is it because I suck? Nope. Just don't care. It would have been better to have no rank. While obvious, I said it anyway. So, anyone judging another player by their rank is someone too stupid for me to trust to be a good player, regardless of what their stats say. NowhatImean? -
But why Samuel then? He was the only one to hear richtofen in tranzit. I agree that he should sound hurt during pick ups and whatnot, but this could have been added later. Games aren't real congruent sometimes and Treyargh has sucked at game programming (not hating, just obvious).

I find that i can only get games over 100 ms ping now, which is sad, making the game unplayable. I can play waw and bo2 and mw3 fine (i won't play bo1 unless zombies), so I don't understand the terrible ping issue with mw2. It is my all time favorite cod mp. Waw had fun maps, arguably too big (not to me though). Mw2 had great maps, lots of hidden spots to climb into. Bo obviously ha the worst maps in cod. Mw3 was slightly less bad than bo maps, actually it was a lot better, but bo was so bad that it isn't hard to make better maps. Bo2 maps are surprisingly decent, given the utter garbage that was bo.

Definitely worth it. Our opinions may vary, so try them for yourself. Kino: ok, sort of bland. Has thundergun. Too easy. "Five": harder, more like a waw survival map. Great map, tough. Winter's grasp (freeze ray). Call of the dead: weird. Annoying george, amusing famous characters. Slow start up, but super easy in the long run. 3 wonder guns! Scavenger is great, the vrill gun mostly sucks, bo wunderwaffe is okay, but worse than original. Ascension: super freaking way too easy but fun. Thundergun. Shangri-la: extremely easy map until the long game. Hard to get real far. Second best ww in bo babymaker. Moon: annoying, glitchy. Hard start up, incredibly easy long game. Worst of bo. No man's land is fun. Interesting wondergun: 2 zap guns combine into 1 wave gun. Basically the most hated bo zombie map (i don't hate nor love it, yet I understand the universal hate for it). Reprints; Ndu: worse than original because of bo load style. Similar in all reprints; the waw originals are much much better by far, but if you have and love the waw ones, this is interesting to play as well. Thundergun included. Verruckt (waw was zombie verruckt): the good is that the springfield was replaced by kar, otherwise harder to camp, easier to kite than original. Freeze ray is a stupid choice for ww on this map. At least on 5 it worked in an odd way: slowing zombies so thy gravitated to the center of the warroom. Shi no numa: way harder than waw version, which is good given how easy snn is on waw (easiest map of all by far). Crappy wunderwaffe instead of original ww. Der riese: really bad compared to original, yet a fun alternative. Thundergun? I think... Be warned, bo is considered the worst cod since 3 by players, buy it for the very glitchy zombies, avoid the mp...

Another post mentioned subtle Ric moaning if he listened carefully. Maybe only stu can hear it? The other poster didn't mention what character they were when they heard it.
-
That would imply that there is a bank... One of the shining points of Tranzit (of many). While the knife is still glitched in that you lose it when you die, at least you can buy it as soon as you get 3000 points. A huge design mistake in bo was the knife: too many doors before you got to it, it only worked through 9 (11 in waw), you lost it when you died. In waw, it was perfect. In bo, it was not even close to correctly done. In Tranzit, being able to get it rightly, balances the fact that you lose it and that it only works through 9. Gk is obviously better for a little more work and price.

Has anyone tried exploring the map in "Who's Who" mode?
83457 replied to MrSkittleD1ck's topic in Die Rise
Maybe that is how you buy phd... -
Edited: assuming bugs fixed; Speed cola and jugger are always accessible. Decent wallguns in the early rooms added. Cosmonaut removed. Excavators removed. Then it might not be the worst zombie map anymore.
-
Yes. I play solo or split screen. As if the 'kill your temmate as they revive you' glitch wasn't annoying enough (all bo maps), hacker in ss or 2 man online glitches if a player dies. The 2 astronaut glitches: tp and run backwards after gersch. You can trap him with the excavators though. Then add in the extreme annoyance of getting jugger a second time after you died to a glitch just breaks the game on solo.

I can't see it or some reason. Typed description?

It makes sense to have a place for these, even though I am unlikely to frequent it. I wanted to add support for the feature. Also, um, maybe a nuketown forum section?
-
Nuketown...why is there no nuketown zombie forum? The first time that I opened the red truck, the boxes in front of the galvaknuckles were invisible. I didn't know there was boxes (first game, remember?), so it was impossible to buy it until I stabbed the invisible boxes. Edit: if a grenade goes off near the red truck, the boxes get destroyed, only they are still there, just invisible after you open the truck. Then you must hit them or whatever, even though you can't see them. On Tranzit: again while running in front of farm, i kept getting improperly loaded drops (nuke, instakill), only showing the golden parts, no green, no aura. But at least I could pick them up, unlike the first time.

Ahh, I see. Someone just said it works vice versa though. What does it do? Guess I'll head back to die rise. I think I may have posted it backwards in another thread because I'm an idiot...
-
Thanks for tips, haven't played yet, so all information helps.
-
The die rise navcard works in Tranzit. What it does is still a mystery.
-
Indeed. IW has fallen and Treyarch shall rise as the dominant makers of CoD! Huzzah! I'd say that they are rocking a tie at best, though mw3 was less than mw2, while bo2 is a huge jump up from bo. So treyargh is moving in the right direction. If it wasn't for the recent fail patch... But bo was about the worst cod, so I feel hesitant to claim their cod victory.
-
First, of course, that why there are forums; complain about everything. Imo; black ops was trash, bo2 has been great, I love the new zombies. The patch caused a glitch so you can go to 100 without killing zombies. Given how poorly Treyarch has been at fixing their zombie games, we are scared. I have unplugged my xbox so I won't get the glitched patch, but now I have to to get die rise. I really despise Treyarch in general, but bo2 has been so good, that I hope they fix this soon. I was starting to think about forgiving them for bo1.

I don't think that it is real, only digital; these are not real people... Did you notice that he is basically george romero with a mustache?
