No problem. I thought of the Illuminati also, but I don't think it is them. Something just doesn't seem right in my head about that. I understand exactly what to mean. So would you suggest that this new organization or cult is newly formed, or an old one that once appeared in zombies before now? Based on your OP, it appears you believe this was already created? I only ask because we've got organizations like the Vril-ya, Majestic-12, the Illuminati, etc., and I am curious if you think that any of these are involved in the radio. Honestly, I have absolutely no clue what to make of it. I'm guessing though, that it is indeed a new organization, taking advantage, and rising up to gain power, OR it's the Illuminati. I just don't see the Illuminati as the people eating The Flesh. I see them as the ones saying they can light the way, it's just the part about eating the flesh.

This is a radio quote from Die Rise. This is from the leader of a cult, supposedly attempting to form a new world order. Their answer? Eat the zombies' flesh. However, I don't think this is a recent broadcast. It can't be. This is a message, somehow saved, from when society started falling apart. Naturally, Samuel is a conspiracy theorist. He doesn't trust the government, and I get the feeling he would prefer to listen to groups who like this that would form their own government, but more importantly, survive. In a time where society is collapsing, who are you going to listen to in order to survive? A government that is falling apart, or the cult that claims they know how to survive the epidemic, especially if you don't trust your government in the first place? I believe Samuel would have chosen the cult. He did what he said, and he ate The Flesh. This is a still from the new opening cinematic for Die Rise. It is a very quick frame. This was specifically taken from the NGTZombies Cinematic/Loading Screen Breakdown video. This frame takes place while Samuel is talking about how the group cannot find out what he did. This doesn't appear to me to be a zombie. This appears to me that it is indeed Samuel, eating the arm of a zombie. Feel free to discuss or add to these findings. This is just something I happened to come across, and it all started making sense after I thought about it.

The High Maintenance achievement interests me, but only because of the fact that it says "Be the architect of THEIR INSTRUCTION." I don't think that Richtofen or Maxis require us to create any instruction for them, so what if this means.... We're constructing some way to contact the O4 and INSTRUCT them to do something?

Good idea! I think the name "Sliquifier" is a portmanteau of "slick" or "slippery" and "liquifer". What this could mean, I'm not certain. WHAT IF, and I'm going out on a very long limb here, it shot acid that only affects flesh? Heat gun sounds far more plausible though.

And the possibility to fall off the edge while you're training. Awwwwwwww yeeeeeeeaaaaaah. I want this right now. 8-)

Regardless of the shape of the earth, the distances would be the same. Period. If I took the same map and wrapped it around the same ball so that way the scale of the map to the Earth is the same, it would still yield the same thing. The shape of the map is a pointless argument. Now, I'm not saying the rockets hit EXACTLY those places, but they did hit NEAR them. Obviously one didn't land in Green Run. It's nearby nuke was Nuketown.
-
I would just like to bring this post to everyone's attention while we're talking about moon missiles and where they hit. You just blew my mind ! After seeing it the first thing that came to my mind was this Point A is Nuketown, Point B is Shanghai or wherever Die Rise happens to be, and Point C is Paris.

Seven days On a serious note though, I came home today hoping for something for whatever odd reason. Must be a Tuesday thing.
-
Well, if it is fake, I suppose we'll find out next Tuesday. It is the Tuesday before the DLC drop after all, and Treyarch LOVES their Trailer Tuesdays. NOTE: The 29th is, in fact, a Tuesday. I feel it's a bit silly to drop a trailer the same day though. That's just my opinion, though.
-
If this was directed towards me, I lurked the forums then, never posted, but yes, I was here. I made a HUGE deal about it to my friends, but only because of the fact he was clearly there, but his face was never shown. Plus the fact they weren't the O4.... But I'm over that now. And yes, Electric, I got your point, I just felt like that needed to go there ;D
-
This video WAS NOT THE TRAILER! This was an overall DLC overview. This =/= trailer. Now, if he's not there in the actual Die Rise trailer, I will be concerned, but I doubt Marly is gone.

How does 'The Crew' end up in another continent?
Taklok replied to me2kool2talk2u's topic in Die Rise
Japan conquered part of China a long time ago. Go read up on some history ;D Now, as for how they got to China..... *glares at map selection globe* Hmmm.... Funny how there's not a visible ocean anymore... HEY! The bus driver did say something about Hawaii..... Which is in the Pacific Ocean. Between America and China... Hmmmm....... Yes. I'm implying they rode the bus to China. Why? I dunno. I blame NAVCards. -
Yes, your sig is very nice Fated But I suppose only time (travel) will tell.
-
Yes, very understandable. I think that that could be possible, and somewhat likely, but then we're just going in a loop like poor Brock and Gary from Shangri-la. I just don't see this new map being in the "future" or "modern times." PLOT TWIST: The finale for this game is Call of The Dead 2. With new celebrities. I personally vote the guy who plays Rick from The Walking Dead ;D
-
Both your previous posts our what makes me unsure about the entire timeline that we've figured out. Something somewhere is wrong. But the only reason Call of The Dead can occur is because of alternate time lines, otherwise it would be all destroyed too. Something is wrong somewhere. But we shall see. I just don't see this map being set in the "future" if Green Run were indeed in the 1960s. The Oriental Pearl Tower was a longshot based on another thread, so who knows. I don't anymore
-
Thanks! Adding that up to the thread now. Tempted to add my views on Marly, too, but I think I'll wait the the actual map trailer to come out before I think about that.
-
It's something like that, I'm just not sure about the exact wording, and I can't find an actual transcript of the quotes!
-
Honestly, I'm just as confused as you are about the whole thing, and this is the only rational reason I've thought of. It is possible we were wrong about Moon and Nuketown time wise, but honestly, I don't think we are, which confuses me more.

As many of you can tell from the trailer, High Rise takes place in skyscrapers, in what seems to be a modern looking city. I've seen talk here that the map is actually set in the future: today's time as opposed to the 1960s, the time frame we currently believe Green Run is in. I'm here to tell you why that's wrong. But first, let's talk location. Location wise, we know the map is in the far east, China to be precise. This can be told for a few reasons, namely the architecture seen in the trailer and a few decorations. In the trailer, we see a few Chinese paper lanterns, plus we see the the room with the statue in it. I think that so far, we're all agreeing at China so far, but here are a couple of pictures anyway just to illustrate my point. (Right click and open in a new tab to see the whole picture) Now, we're all probably wondering WHERE in China. My likely guess is either Shanghai or Beijing, of course. However, I am leaning more towards Shanghai, simply for the reason of the Oriental Pearl Tower. This was mentioned in a previous thread by Flammenwerfer. Simply put, the tower is a TV/Broadcasting tower. Here is a link to Flammenwerfer's thread for pictures of the tower itself. viewtopic.php?f=139&t=27305 Now, let's talk time. The map is NOT in the future. Period. End of story. Why you're probably asking? Simple! The majority of the entire human population is gone. Dead. Kaput. Between fending off zombies and managing the task of not dying off completely, I for one would like to know why we would bother building skyscrapers again before actually repopulating. My second reason for this is the fact that everything is destroyed. Again. All of it. Not just one building where a meteor MAY have crashed, but the entire city. Doesn't make much sense, does it? What I'm trying to say is that even IF the Green Run crew were to travel into the future, NOTHING would change. It wouldn't look more modern. It wouldn't look like buildings of today's age. It would look exactly as it did in the 1960s, when we THINK the missiles hit. Now, there is always the possibly that this is an alternate universe where the missiles hit far later in time, but I doubt that. Map time line wise, Die Rise is after Green Run. My main and ONLY evidence for this is the line from Richtofen after picking up a power up in Green Run, something he says only once per game. The quote involves him coughing and saying that he's still getting used to the Aether. Now can anyone how Die Rise could come before Green Run and why that would be the case? Because I can't. So, knowing this, what if Green Run were indeed not set in the 1960s, but were instead just a small town that never adapted to the modern age. Towns like these do still exist, and quite frankly, I don't see why this may not be the case. Die Rise does look fairly modern, but it is NOT possible that that is because that we went into the future. So now this is open for discussing. Have fun, and I'm waiting to hear what my fellow CoDZ members have to say regarding these things.

PLOT TWIST: Marlton is the mini boss zombie. I'm just kidding. I hope. But I'm sure we will see Marlton return. I don't see why he wouldn't to be honest. I feel there's more to him and the story as a whole.

I don't know. They did say open areas of game play along with constricted corridors, but it's hard to tell. I'm betting probably not, though.
