  1. You're proving that it's possible to get 3 downs with no revive. Not that Quick Revive is gone. So it's possible that after going in Afterlife, he could have revived himself or get himself back up 3 times. But that doesn't mean there is no Quick Revive anymore.
  2. No one Escapes Alive In Mob of the Dead, Execute the escape plan. This is the Easter Egg achievement. The 'breaking the cycle' achievement is a 10G or Bronze Trophy one. I'm absolutely sure that this refers to dying in Afterlife mode, or running out of Afterlife meter.
  3. I don't think they will bring them back. I think they were just using the sound effects from the Denizens to make the trailer seem more vicious. I can tell because they messed up a lot of the Zombie sound effects in that trailer...
  4. Yup. Was about to post it myself. Anyway, the last bits show something very interesting...! The plane actually gets us off the island after all? Also, I don't know why, but I heard Denizens all over that trailer.
  5. There's already a few people on the Solo leaderboards. Their account info is private though, so I can't check out their achievements...
  6. GRIEF! YES! I LOVE YOU TREYARCH
  7. I think the reason why we see the character's name next to our points is to avoid "taking over" the other players body.
  8. Hey, guys. The Behind the Scenes for Mob of the Dead is out! I suggest all of you guys to check it out now, if you haven't already. If anyone has made a Trailer discussion already, that's cool. I don't wanna hear any "Why did you copy me?" though. I'm just doing my own version of it. Anyway, I'm pumped and ready to show you guys some of the noticeable changes to Zombies, presented in the trailer. I've made these HD screenshots and anyone is allowed to use them in the forums. So without further ado, lets have a look at Mob of the Dead. First up are some images, possibly revealing our first steps to the Easter Egg! It says that we need to build a plane to get off the island. But my guess is that we're going to need a better plan that that, really... These documents probably came from one of the prisoner's diary, revealing their plans on how to get out of the island and more notes about the afterlife. This could tell us a lot about the back-story. Have fun deciphering all of that... Now here are the main characters using some of the new weaponry. The first one shows one of the characters using a new sort of blunt weapon. It could either be the Sickle from the first Black Ops, or it could just be the starting knife... but I doubt it. Also, you get a closer look at the Zombie's appearance. This second character appears to be holding the Ak_47. I don't know exactly what the magazine capacity is for the Ak_47. All I know is that it's the same one from the original Black Ops and that, when pack-a-punched, it becomes the Reznov's Revenge. There was also a confirmation of the PDW, LSAT, B23R and the Remmington making a return. Seems like the will a quite a lot of weapons ready for us! Alright lets move onto some in-game footage here. You'll notice the HUD and some of original Zombies layout is completely different here. It's almost representing something old-school and looks similar to the HUD of Mafia 2... speaking of, here is what the Tommy Gun looks like. It's said to have a magazine of 50/380. Not sure whether this is a wall-weapon or not, but I sure hope it is. Now then something we've all been curious about are these Hellhound-looking things that stick to the wall. In the trailer, you see these things eat Zombies... Are they friendly or dangerous? speedmetal890 has an interesting theory on this and explains that this could possibly be the Pack-a-Punch. Also, notice the key icon on the upper left. This could be the key from the Warden mentioned in the documents. Maybe this is the new indicator as to what equipment we're holding on to? So much mystery! There's a new perk called Electric Cherry for 2000 points. It grants you the power of making electric shocks when you reload. This can damage and kill the zombies around you. When you think about it, it's a sort of PHD Flopper and saves you from getting cornered when you're reloading. This could turn overpowered, though... all you need to do is switch guns back and forth and keep reloading for a small shock burst. We'll just have to see how good/bad it turns out to be. The new Wonder Weapon is called the Blundergat. It looks like a 4-barrel shotgun but it holds a magazine of 1/64. No confirmation yet whether it is a build-able or if you can get it from the Mystery Box. When you upgrade the Blundergat, you will shoot these tiny acid rounds that stick to the Zombies. You can shoot all four at once or conserve the ammo. Also, as predicted, the Zombie Shield build-able is back. This one looks more firm and stronger, though. Maybe it will last longer than one in TranZit? Activation Traps are back! Not just the plain old Lasers from the World at War and Black Ops maps, but multiple! You got spinning fan blades and traps that drop burning acid on Zombies... or your teammates. (I can't imagine Juggernog protecting you from those blades, just sayin') You also got a Lift to safely transport from one location to the other. Have I mentioned that this map looks HUGE?! A new challenger approaches: Heavy Armored Zombie B*tch. It has been mentioned this guy can take out your perks and even the Mystery Box?! It's also very likely this guy actually comes between rounds, acting like the Napalm Zombie. In the trailer you also see him getting downed from 1 shot of the Remmington during an Insta-Kill. I wonder if we could get a free perk from this boss. Maybe if he doesn't get to disable things he drops one like the Monkeys did from Ascension. I expect to test out a lot of theories, and that will probably gain us a lot of downs... And then this final feature... something that's probably gonna change our Easter Egg hunting and Zombies experience entirely... The Afterlife. Our so-called purgatory, that becomes available after we die (Or so I've heard). There are multiple hints and Illuminati symbols all around the map, and we've got the ability to do something with it when we're in the afterlife. What exactly? We don't know yet. But I really hope it won't require me to go down a 100 of times to find out. I'm very curious to what this feature holds... Leave your thoughts about this down below! As you can see, there is a LOT of stuff included in the new map. From the looks of it, it might take a while to get used to this new experience. But I'll bet you it will be fun as heck. What's your opinion about the map so far? I know for sure that next week can't come any sooner!
  9. If the Easter Egg is going to be the same thing as in Call of the Dead, then I am seriously disappointed.
  10. Nice summary. But I don't agree with your thought on the boat docks being the spawn point. The small preview we've seen already shows the characters still being in the prison. And it just wouldn't seem fit if they spawned right at the exit, you know. Also, what do you mean by the The Recreation Yard being similar to No Man's Land?
  11. I certainly hope it's like Five, where you have to do something in order to get to the PaP room. Just seems more fun that way, right?
  12. I hope that my shotgun rank will have red eyes after doing the MotD Easter Egg. /sweatingitout
  13. I don't think it would say Root Beer if it didn't contain any alcohol. Root Beer doesn't contain alcohol, it's a soft drink... I guess I should've added the '/sarcasm' note.
  14. Dude, I can hear the zooming sound effect on the background. You either had an Insta-Kill or a Double Points during that moment and I don't understand why you're saying you didn't have, while obviously, you do. My guess is you had the insta-kill going on there and didn't shoot the zombies.
  15. I don't think it would say Root Beer if it didn't contain any alcohol.
  16. I'm just kidding, pal.
  17. So much stuff isn't making sense right now... But if there would be one, we might get it from the Warden Zombie.
  18. Looks almost like a double barrel shotgun. Oh my God, yes! I soo want a wonder shotgun.
  19. That screenshot was fake, the map/area was from Crisis 2 if I am correct, and then someone photoshopped the HUD and the gun in over the map. I just love it when people believe in leaked loading screens and photoshopped screenshots.
  20. Actually, guys... I think we're just going ahead of ourselves. I'm sure there will be the same perks as usual and a new one. I mean, why not? There's a 2025 weapon in the game (LSAT). Don't forget the Ray Gun, too. It would be nice to see a different style of Perk Machines, but they really don't need to.
  21. Been wondering about this and the wonder weapon. Why can't they just show this stuff in the trailers on the go? We didn't know anything about the Sliquifier until the map came out. Anyway, it shouldn't be the case that there are no perk machines. And then again, it wouldn't make sense to see them on this time frame either. They must have done something extraordinary for this, but I didn't see anything in the trailer.
  22. Hey, guys. We're all excited for the new map, right? Even though the trailer for the new map wasn't that long, I think I've got a pretty good idea on how it will be set out for us. Alright, lets look back at Green Run. You got 4 different sections to select from and 4 different modes; TranZit, Survival, Grief and Turned. The location of Green Run was big enough to be divided by smaller maps, so I'm suspecting they're gonna do the same for the new DLC. As you saw in the trailer, Alcatraz has different sections too. You got the Library, the Broadway and the Warden's Office. Maybe even more. Now I don't exactly know how big the map really is, but if it's like Green Run all together, I hope Treyarch will do the same thing as before. Maybe even throw Grief mode or Turned mode back in there. The only reason why I think they didn't do this for Die Rise is because it'd get complicated separating floors. It just gives us more to do, right? Anyway, let me know your idea about this.
  23. The existence of a "controller" or entity that took over the Zombies before Maxis and Richtofen is very slim. We would have heard about it before, especially as to how Maxis would have possibly gotten rid of the "first controller" and replaced it with Samantha. It wouldn't make sense how this other being has never been mentioned of before by both Richtofen and Maxis.
  24. I won't be surprised if the location name for the new map Mob of the Dead would be "The Rock". Okay, so we're going back in time. Way before Maxis and Dr. Richtofen have control over the Zombies. We're not playing as the same BO2 crew either. I'm curious to what the Easter Egg would hold, I mean, both Maxis and Richtofen couldn't possibly start giving messages from the future to these mob folks, telling them to power up the tower or even your idea of turning the prison into a pyramid. Maybe the idea of going to Alcatraz, way back in the past, is to discover something that may be of use to the new crew in the future. Like how in Call of the Dead we gave the original crew the golden rod.
