  1. Moon in Latin means: Luna Luna as many of you on here know is linked with Ascensions Easter Egg. This could be due to the Space Race in the 60's enacted by John F Kennedy because of Soviet Unions "Sputnik operation" and of course because Ascension is a Soviet Cosmodrome facility. Also, If you have noticed the Multiplayer map Plaza it has a club known as Luna. Thinking of the circumstances of Black Ops 2 one could connote that it's Rhichtofen's and Maxis' Battle for the control of the Moon (with one side of the map consisting of purple/blues and the other oranges and yellows). Why the Moon? The moon is itself is Earths natural Satellite and Satellites Transmit signals...and signals are what control the Zombies... For the English ones perhaps you could try and convert them to different languages or maybe just find the relevance of their name in a suitable context. For each one why not go more indepth and seek out new linkages and connections, just think deeper
  2. It is rather intriguing isn't it? If you listen to it again and think of the "chain like" sounds as Keys...it sounds more like them. They sound like they are opening a cage of some sort with a creature inside. I personally hope it's Fluffy! Oh and welcome to the site, Tornado...A word of advice though, don't go cooking up a STORM and start WIND-ing people up!
  3. Why on earth have you done a silly thing like that, Fire . I know you want the Shotgun rank but glitching yourself there is not the way to do it!
  4. The whoopy cushion thing you speak of is called a: "Bellows" Wiki link here - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bellows It's probably the Blacksmith version as it links with the Great Leap Forward with all the forges in which would of used such apparatus. It might also explain the Steam part of Tramplesteam
  5. Well said Delta. Perhaps a "Codz Starter guide" might be a good way to introduce new comers into how things work around here, for example, as you said: The search bar. I'm trying to think of a logical reason for this flurry of Unhelpfullness, however, it just looks like one of those things really...perhaps the same happened when Black Ops 1 was released...
  6. Thanks for the input! We totally should...Although knowing Jimmy he'll probably make a riddle or something out of it
  7. So Zombies from the get go hasn't really changed it's formula (excluding Dead ops, it was kinda a "Minigame" in my eyes...no offense die hard dead ops fans) But what if it did...I mean Zombies is now on the Multiplayer engine so I wonder if some Multiplayer aspects could be incorporated into Zombies or would it just break the system?. What if Killstreaks could be added, for example: - 300 kills for a Death Machine - 1000 for a free random perk - 2000 Wonderwaffe!!! For me I think it would add a new layer of excitement as let's face it, Zombies gets rather boring after a while however I wanna hear your views on this, what do you Guys and Gals think? Also if you could make a zombies killstreak what would it be?
  8. By all means!!
  9. Funny Story, I had a dream I was on Die Rise and instead of there being "We all fall down" it was...well different...that inspired to do this! It's terrible (that's what makes it good ) Note: For the best result listen to "We all fall down" whilst singing it yourselves: If I had the recording equipment I would of so recorded this X_X...ah well. If you guys have any of your own parodies of the song be sure to post them below. Die rise not Der Reise , CXI with ‘FMc, Choose which voice to follow, And of course they’ll be zombies, Confusing, It seems we are in Shang-hai, It’s Difficult, Similar to Shangri-la, Misty is still looking fine, Is that a symbol of nuketown?, It’s hard to run trains, Cause this is not Tranzits town, You will fall down, You’ll fall down, You will fall down, You’ll fall down, Richtofen starts again, There’s voices from the TV, Get Who’s Who for rebirth, In limbo find your body, Samuel Seems crazy, With those really weird sounds, They say "Help me", But there’s no-one around, You will fall down, You’ll fall down, You will fall down, You’ll fall down, You can follow maxis, As the freight lift crashes, But we won’t go down! Mahjong tiles find them, Decode and see, For the combination, I see the creatures, Growling, Jumping, Clawing, Knifing, A perk, For me!, You will fall down, You’ll fall down, You will fall down, You’ll fall down, It’s the Nav card grab it, Just like back on Tranzit, And don’t fall all the way down, We can try and survive just you and I, As we power the pylon, we don’t know why, Is the bad guy maxis?, It’s all over, that’s it, And the Creepy outro, just plays away, So let’s save our cashes , I got flopper, Wait it’s!, It’s a troll!!!

    Province 22

What is exactly a Province? Definition of a province: A province is a territory governed as an administrative or political unit of a country/empire. You're probably asking what that means. Well to put it in one sentence: China's provinces are like USA's States. There is one significant difference however, when a country is using a provincial structure the central committee (the individual province leaders) establishes and all obey by the same laws. If that doesn't make sense use the USA analogy again, in one state there could be something illegal (I.e a drug) whereas in another state it might be legal. That is basically what a province is. Province 22 (AKA Jilin Province) - Latitude 40 degrees 52' to 46 degrees 18' N - Longitude 121 degrees 38' to 131 degrees 19' E Now this is where it makes no sense. In Die Rise it shows the "Jin Mao Tower" and a skyline of Shanghai...so why has Treyarch said that Die Rise is in Province 22 I wonder. Let's take a deeper look into Jilin. Jilin's Technological Developments In 1992 an area of 1060 square kilometers was turned into industrial zones due to the extensive amount of Molybdenum (used to make steel alloys stronger and superalloys) and wollastonite (Used for ceramic making). Refined Chemical Products - Most likely fuel for automobiles. This being said there could be a possible link to the Sliquifier. Integration of Photo Electrons - The Photoelectric effect can be integrated with image sensors via video camera tubes (this was used up until the 80's on old televisions). It was how a television would essentially display a picture. This could be linked with the excessive amounts of televisions dotted around the map. Electronics - A direct link with the photo electrons and the televisions. Medicine and Bioengineering - This is going to be pretty much theory based, the medicine aspect intrigues me, perhaps they tried to create a vaccine? As for the Bioengineering: This has to link with the "Advanced nova crawlers". I think that they combined the DNA of a frog with the nova crawlers in attempt to find a cure. Why a frog? - Easily accessible due to China being the largest export of frogs - Generically deemed as an animal for experimental tests - Frogs contain unique toxins in which is 100 times more potent than morphine Oh and the fact they jump around like frogs. But how did they get in control of the nova crawlers? well cast your minds back to those capsules where they were stored in on Kino, now go onto the multiplayer map "Cargo" if you have a fly around there are many of those capsules dotted around. This explains how they came to china, either they were sent by the person in the Nacht loading screen or by other means. (Bare in mind...it's just theoretical) Another thing to add is that in 1998 Jilin's textiling industry began. So it seems Treyarch has re-named Shanghai: Province 22. Bringing with it Province 22's technological developments. The reason for this?...Honestly your guess is good as mine. Bonus Fact: The game Mahjong was rumored to be created by a nobleman from Shanghai If you took the time to read this I thank you Sincerely and feel free to post anything about Province 22 in correlation with Die Rise/Shanghai Bunch o' links Provinces - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Provinces_ ... c_of_China Jilin (province 22) - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jilin_Province Jin Mao Tower - viewtopic.php?f=147&t=28248 Molybdenum - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Molybdenum Wollastonite - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wollastonite Photo Electrons - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Photoelectric_effect Mahjong - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mahjong
  11. Did you know that in Dead Ops Arcade when you pick up a teddy bear as a power up and walk near some zombies butterflies appear shooting out of them? similar to when you knife other people on Grief. It probably leads to no-where, however I found it quite interesting
  12. Nice mini review Patricio, Precise, Informative, Straight to the point. Here's my take (Briefly): The Good - Atmosphere/tension - Aesthetically pleasing to the eye (there is some colour) - Somewhat complex Easter Egg (certainly better than Tranzit) - Tramplesteam adds a layer of fun (seriously, so my fun!) - The solo opening cutscene (Even Spielberg would be amazed!) - The sliquifier (makin' dem zombies dance) - The Song (kevin sherwood you never cease to amaze) The Bad - Who's who (for me...it's meh) - The reward for completing the EE (pretty lame) - Where's the "upgradable wonder weaponry"? -__- - Actually where is this wonder weaponry? Blatantly the Goods outweigh the Cons, and really the Cons are pretty uch personal preference. Great job Treyarch!!
  13. Awesome song breakdown! (despite it nearly taking me 20 mins to read) So you think it could be England...interesting...so perhaps "bigben" could be the "spire"? I'm trying to link the valve/film reel too it though, perhaps there would be sewers. Other than that nice theory!
  14. That's a possibility, However, there's a growl if you listen closely enough and that could mean SO many different outcomes: -A new boss fight, -New creature round, -Maxis might take physical form (as he said: "I cannot take physical form...yet"), -It could be the cosmic silverback, -Maybe even fluffy (come to think of it those dogs would technically be her children right?), the list goes on Whatever it is...it's surely gonna be awesome!!!
  15. Yeah I noticed that too, hmmm perhaps it does have some significance later on as it is clearly visible... I guess time travel will tell, Get it? like Shangri-la's achieveme-...Nevermind I can never get a good look at it however, I think I might have vertigo
  16. Interesting, Well here's my take on this, what if the whole building is the spire not just the pylon. If you have read into what the great leap forward you should kinda get where I'm coming from; they used minerals from fallen meteorites and put them into the steel to make it stronger. This means that 115 is in the steel right? So here's what I think we should do: With all this blood sacrifice talk my thinking is that each player has to stand near 1 of the Zombie symbols on the ground located around the buildings then kill zombies on them. Perhaps this could "Charge up the spire/building". Just an Idea guys :)
  17. I see it as a pipe and a valve: There could be so many different places it could be...I want it to be Atlantis (with a steampunk esque style similar to Bioshocks rapture) But the chances are low :(
  18. Hipster JamFMc: I posted about this before it went mainstream 8-) viewtopic.php?f=139&t=28237
  19. Possibly, I've found 3 myself (One next to the m14, Another down the escalator on the right of the spawn room, One on the roof). I could imagine there being 4 and you have to do something simultaneously; the thing is though there are so many variables... X_X
  20. @TFG Dubz You lost me at "I have 1 ball", All joking aside, would you care to elaborate on what you are talking about: "the focusing stone from shangri-la"? Are you saying that the orb (I'll just call it that for now) that is in the dragons mouth is the focusing stone?. If so then 1. the texture is all wrong 2. why would there be two? 3. how did it get from moon to china? It just doesn't make sense. Oh and about the "moon crawlers" coming to china, well beneath the sweat shop there are many cages with blood making me believe that the Nova six crawlers were shipped to china (via the multiplayer map Cargo there are some capsules similar to kinos) in which they were most likely tested on. For further evidence let's look at "province 22" (the place where Die Rise is situated in china). Province 22 is home to Changchun High Technology Development Zone in which they research: bio-engineering, automobile engineering, new material fabrication, photo-electricity, and information technology. The ones we can relate Die Rise to are New material fabrication (sweatshop and the mall) and most importantly Bio-engineering. why Biological Engineering? I think they were trying to biologically engineer a vaccine by merging DNA with that of a frogs for many reasons such as: - Easily accessible due to China being the largest export of frogs - Generically deemed as an animal for experimental tests - Frogs contain unique toxins in which is 100 times more potent than morphine This being said there could be another explanation. I might make a post later and go more in depth :)
  21. @infest Lithium I've tried doing that. I believe Maxis says something along the lines of "good you will need the weapon you hold in due time" when you purchase/obtain a sniper rifle (More info here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DUi9aMLIrak). So I guess we have to do something before this step...but what? Very intriguing!
  22. Okay so we all know that there are those ball looking things inside the dragons mouths right? well I think i know where they should go...In the spawning area there are two "tribal dragon statues" next to the door leading to the m14. The have their claws shaped as if they were leaning on something, yeah that's right the balls! To further prove this theory, have a look on the multiplayer map mirage and look at the dragon statues. Their claws are leaning on balls! The question is though...how do we get them there?...and what are those Nuketown zombies emblems on the floor?... P.s. Sorry for the lack of pics Edit* Those tribal dragon statues are actually called "Chinese guardian lions" and the balls are know as "xiù qiú" or to us English speaking folk "Temari". Temari's are wadded up silk then embroided and decorated (links with the sweat shop). To learn more about Guardian lions and Temaries I would highly recommend this, very interesting: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Imperial_guardian_lions
  23. Yeah I have to agree with the "rewinding time" concept. Another thing to add: in the loading screen the music starts normal then sounds like it's going backwards.
  24. Sure you could put it like that and I'm all for defending Treyarch...however this is a company that made over 1 billion in the first week, the first WEEK. I mean Governmental organisations let through 1-2 hackers every year, Yes i know Treyarch and the government are two separate ends of the spectrum, but the software is still there. I know you said this is aimed at everyone who dares to even say that Treyarch is bad in any respect is "bitchy". This being said your whole post had logical fallacy all over it: Claims we are bitchy (which i might add we are just stating the fact that the leaderboards are messed up) so you decide to write a bitchy post exclaiming we are all wrong. I like to think I'm a nice guy to get along with and I'm fine with a counterargument, I'm fine with a discussion...but what I'm not fine with is egotistical people on their high horse then say: "I won't be back to defend this for post after post" p.s I am a huge fan of Treyarch, Yet i do still see past my arm Fair enough. That is certainly one way to see that post but it certainly wasn't my intention. My intention was we should bring these things up and talk them out, report them to Treyarch and show our support and concern in a constructive way. Not post a bunch of threads bitching they screwed up again or broke the game or showing doubt in them at the drop of a hat the way people have been doing over this last update. I am in no way on a high horse and your way of misunderstanding it as such is a great example of how some people jump when they think they understand something but clearly don't. The comment about not defending this post over and over was simply to say I'm not trying to start a bitch fest here which some people tend to try to pull others in to when their opinion differs from theirs and have to monitor this to defend myself for having an opinion. Admittedly I should have left that out and simply ignored any comments. I guess I was trying to spawn some positive support rather than encourage the negative bitchiness I was reading which lead to my reply. I've never done anyone here wrong, and I'm fine with an opposing view. I just like to see it constructive and informative. You can try to make me out to be whatever way you like with misquotes such as "this is aimed at everyone who dares to even say that Treyarch is bad in any respect" but the fact remains that I'm for Treyarch and them fixing errors and glitches and I will continue to support positive constructive critism instead of posting "bitchy" negative comments and showing that if someone screws up then you'll jump ship. Back on topic, I hope they fix the glitch where you can climb levels without shooting any zombies. This was obviously not their intention as it defeats the purpose of the game. I fully understood everything that you said, here's the thing, You essentially said that everyone was bitching and whining about the leaderboards, Glitches ect. instead of constructively criticising them (in which we all did i might add) where we explained our points with counters and openly said we still love Treyarch. Then you came in claiming we are all being bitchy and that we all are on a haters band wagon (which wasn't very constructively criticised now was it? it was just down right rude). If there was anyway to get your point across being bias wasn't a way to do it. I accept that Treyarch made a mistake, everyone does, therefore we are stating why we don't like it in effort to resolve this dilemma. End of discussion.
