  1. We tried to do the part where you put the fire staff in the holder 4 times after upgrading and it would not gives us the fire back so we did the step properly by placing all the staffs in the giants, step completes and the staffs returned to the excavation but would not let us pick them up. It is the last game on my player channel. Check it out man... complete bullshit!
  2. Just lost ALL FOUR staffs in a 2 player game there. Absolute bullshit on Treyarch's part to be honest! If this does not get addressed, I will be disgusted.
  3. Good video (as always) man, but on this occasion I am going to have to say no. It has been too long now, and Treyarch themselves will be hard at work on the next game. Only viable way it could be done is if it was via a 3rd party, and if that was the case it would have probably happened months ago.
  4. I agree that Moon has several major issues, but those aside, the map is fantastic. So many great strategies, a fun and worthwhile EE, NML and some really awesome weapons and features. I also disagree that it is the most hated map by the community. Shi No Numa or Shangri La were both more poorly recieved than Moon was.3
  5. The Ice Staff and Wind Staff are the only two staffs to still work perfectly after 65. Lightning is no longer one hit kill from 32, and Fire is no longer one hit kill from 65. The Fire staff will also crash the game from 60-70 so is pretty much a no-go in later rounds. Based on that, I would have to say Ice is the best because it has more ammo than Wind.
  6. As a moderator over on the UGX site http://ugx-mods.com/forum/index.php I have seen that particular site manage to cope well with advertising, and as seen on the home page, the ads are not very intrusive, so this site should really consider it as a viable option. Sure there was always a "no ad" policy in place, but times have changed and during this extended off-season, the site will no doubt go through long periods with little traffic or threads. I would also like be happy to pay a monthly subscription to use the site but I can understand that this may not be an option for everyone. Maybe have it that only certain features are open to subscribers, like access to a live chat area (so as to avoid spammers), and maybe certain sub sections. Either way, I am not in a financial position to donate anything huge, but I will at least donate something on Friday. This site is my drug!
  7. Good to see you back CoDZ. Please don't leave me again. I cri for so long. :(

  8. This has been known since day one of Origins release. Sorry, but old news is old. Why did Treyarch do it? Probably just as a nod to the campaign rather than a direct link.
  9. So... it would seem that Origins has been affected by the recent update or a 'Game Settings Change' somewhere down the line. The latest "Game Breaking" issue to befall this map is the disappearing staff trick. How is it done you ask? Well that's easy... all you have to do is try and swap a staff out for another and boom, the first staff is gone! It will not show up anywhere else on the map... EVER AGAIN! What the HELL Treyarch!?! Are you kidding me right now? This map is already littered with issues, and now this!!! We lost our Ice Staff in the first game, and Ice again in the second game, but it is not just me either... I spoke to 3 people already today who lost staffs with one of them having died and bled out in a game while holding a staff and next round he went to the excavation to get his staff and it was gone!? Also saw that people were discussing it on the Activision forum. http://community.callofduty.com/thread/200767568 Please for the LOVE OF GOD! Fix this issue!
  10. 100% agree on Shi No Numa. On the PC version of WaW it looks a lot nicer and more detailed, but on console it is just plain ugly. I also felt the same about Shangri La, but eventually that one grew on me. Still hate Shi No Numa though, but will play it every once in a while. Five is also not one of my favourites. I don't mind it, but find it is too small so get's boring too quickly. Nuketown is by far my most lothed map though. I just despite it so much.
  11. Any of the active users who lost their brains could be given an honorary 935 perma-brain count. It would show that anyone who had it was regarding highly enough for their previous contributions. I think that would be a fair enough conclusion to it.
  12. I have used this site for over 2 and a half years, with 1 and a half as a member, and Choppers and Superhands were the Two main strategy guys I looked up to, so you guys will never be forgotten for your good work, but as many have said... It's a new dawn, it's a new day and it's a new era for CoDZ. Brains are not important... it's the contributions that count.
  13. Anyone playing tonight? Fancy a good game.

      Hells Warrrior

No worries, I switch it off after one game - round 13 on origins and I gave up. Someone backed out and didn't find myself enjoying it as I was bursting for a whizz lol

  14. Hit me up if you want man. UK time zone and my playing schedule matches yours. I will help you get EVERY Easter egg done, and will also be down for high round games. My high round tend to be HIGH though, so we might need more than a 7 hour time frame for some of those. lol GT : DeathBringerZen Welcome to the forum.
  15. I am not 100% on this one, but I believe the Unreal 3 engine WAS a completely rewritten engine, as opposed to Unreal 1 to 2.5 being based off the same engine. The way I look at it, is that the ID Tech engine was originally made for Quake 3, before it was upgraded to create Doom 3 and Quake 4. That is pretty damn old, and I know the reason they don't create a new one is the time scale, but the basics of Radiant are obvious. I know they continue to upgrade it each year to allow a higher FX limit, and larger limitations, but the engine still runs the program, and I don't think poor scripting can be blamed for all of it. Still, I am not sure exactly the issue, so can only speculate, but having used Radiant a few times, I can see that it is pretty poor. Hell, even companies like EA, Bethesda and Valve have made statements on how trashy the CoD engine is, and they pretty much all stated that the series should take a hiatus while a new engine is put in place. My knowledge of the engine is novice to amateur, but if these companies are slagging it off, and you would assume they know what they are talking about, then you would think that they are right.
  16. Going to have to completely disagree with you on that one. The engine is a joke in all departments. The dynamics are pretty poor, with often cluncky, unrealistic movements from the models. It feels rough because the original ID Tech engine was made over 12 years ago. If you actually had the chance to mess around with Radiant, you would see for yourself how poor it was. Even going back and playing WaW zombies shows you how poor the collision and dynamics were. There is also the abbundance of graphical glitches, like lighting bugs, and then there is the host of sound issues. The obvious issues though that show up the dated engine include floating turbines and trample streams, invisible excavators on Moon, glitched out lander sounds on Ascension, Afterlife symbols on MotD, glitched out bosses on... well, every map probably. There is literally hundreds of known issues that all steam from the engine being extremely dated, so instead of creating a new one, the just continue to update the same one. Visually it improves, but the dynamics behind it always stay the same. Tranzit apparently pushed the Xbox to the limits, yet it only pushed the version of Radiant it was running on. GTA V (hell... GTA 4) proves that a good engine can get more from the hardware. Point being, there is plenty of indisputable evidence to confirm the engine is dated and needs changed.
  17. I would have like to nominate Naitrax' Ranking System 2.0 thread : http://www.callofdutyzombies.com/forum/index.php/topic/159137-zombies-ranking-system-20-how-it-should-work/ I found the concept for it to be sound, and it is an issue that has not been brought up too often. Picking a TOTW was tough. There was not an abundance of threads to choose from, but the ones there was were all very good. Stop Mocking Me0 delivered some quality threads, as did Dahniska, CheeseGrater28, Boom and MMX, but I have opted for Naitrax on this occasion.
  18. Looking for a 4th player who has all Richtofen EE's done to do the end-game on Buried in a few hours. Any takers? can do any missing EE's if need be.

  19. I too will be skipping it. I only bought Ghosts in the hope that Extinction would be the game-mode to tide me through the off season, but it was not. Even the new Chaos Mode has very limited appeal. I have completely tired of this same old modern combat setting in the CoD titles. WWII or Vietnam would have been nice to see on next-gen technology, but nah... Modern Warfare 4 (or at least based on the MW series) is what we will be getting. Yawn... Still, I don't want to sound too negative, and who knows... it might be amazing and revolutionary, but the tired formula of fighting fake wars against people from Iraqistani or Afganadad is boring now. It has been done to death, over what... 6 titles!? This is obviously not included EA's several titles all set in similar territories. The franchise needs a new setting or direction badly.
  20. I have been told that the engine being used for the Sledgehammer and Treyarch Call of Duty titles is just another updated version of Radiant. Obviously I can only take that at face value, but even with this new found time the developers have, I doubt they would have enough time to create a whole new engine, so I am expecting the same adundance of buggy issues to be present again, and that disappoints me.
  21. People have been screaming out for 'mic only' lobbies for a while now. It was hoped that it would be implemented into Black Ops 2 but it didn't happen. Someone from Treyarch came out and said it was a none starter anyway. They said what would stop a person joining a mic only lobby only to remove their mic once the game starts, and for reasons like that one it is non-viable. Having a countdown to plug your mic back in would just see a spate of trolls joining and then removing their mics to effectively end games or cause intentional interruption. As much as I would love to see such a feature incorporated, I can also understand why it has not and probably won't in the future.
  22. Get out! Just kidding man... welcome to the forum. Still... not a fan of Nacht? The original zombie nightmare!?! I get that Kino seems to be an acquired taste for some though but I loved it. It has a great balanced strategy for getting to power. Work as a team and maximize points en route. It looks like a pretty bland setting sure, but it has so many strategies to use on it that every game could be different. Green Run I will give you though. Personally I like it too, but I cannot forgive it's complete lack of features, perks or useful objectives.
  23. I have played Nightfall and Mayday on my sons XBOX One and as fun as they are at first, they also get very boring very quickly. Personally, I do not think they are worth the price, as way says the MP maps are the worst I have seen since CoD started doing DLC. They are actually worse than the final few BO2 MP maps that dropped, so to purchase DLC just for the Extinction maps is a rip-off... especially as they are not nearly good enough. The campaign is fun at first but gets really bad really fast. The mechanics for the dog are terrible, and you basically get 5 minutes of gameplay (following a set path) before you have to watch yet another 20 minute sequence. It is more of an interactive movie than a game. I have no issue with Infinity Ward or Neversoft and if anything I am a fan of their previous works, but Ghosts is the worst CoD to date in my opinion and I genuinely think it IS as bad as most people think. I know others will disagree, but I paid my money for it, and for my sons copy (with season pass), and I regret doing so, so my opinion will not change. Also got to have a quick run on Chaos Mode yesterday afternoon on my sisters PC and although it was a nice change of pace, it will not save the game-mode in my opinion.
  24. Yes, it was a cheap way out, but it was still a way out and I believe that is what they have opted for. The game has run it's course in it's current form and need to be reinvented. I am not sure what you mean by "Finally it you acually pay attention to the storyline it does make sense"!? I know the storyline pretty damn well. More so than many, and have actually played and followed the game-mode since the the very beginning. The community helped mold the storyline back in the beginning and the creation of Samantha is down to this very forum. They went with community ideas and expanded upon them. They never had a set storyline to go with so made it up as they went along. Unfortunately, mistakes were made, and decent ideas were abandoned, like GK Nova, Peter, Broken Arrow etc. There was also some conflicting issues with the storyline that the community is still very much divided on, like when Moon takes place. Having a chance (and time) to actually reinvent zombies is what they need. Trying to hang onto this current storyline is the type of thing to kill of the game entirely. The community is so frustrating at times. I was happy to see a new group and a new perspective on things with BO2, but the community cried and cried and I am sure that is what led to Origins instead of their original planned map or storyline. As for the points system... I have seen PTG (or Benn specifically) say that the next game will not have points or perk, so if it was true it would make the Origins ending make perfect sense. They could of course be wrong, but it would be a nice change to the game-mode. Personally I don't care about any of that stuff at the minute and will be taking it as hearsay, but what I do want to see is a complete change to the storyline, be it from a completely different perspective, or an alternative storyline altogether. The current storyline showed just how fragile it was through out Black Ops 2, and I really do not want to see a repeat in the next game.
  25. If this was the case, then shouldn't all previous maps bosses also be considered to be important in some way? Like the Cosmonaut, Napalm, George etc. None of them were really given a back story. Well, maybe George, but not the others. We only thought he could have had more importance because Tranzit felt like it was void of anything else. The EE was short and unfulfilling. As much as I would liked for him to be a more important figure, I feel he is nothing more than a below average boss.
