Not mine, but one of the better ones I have seen out there... Also saw a decent Peter Griffin one time too, but the Cleveland one was better in my opinion.

The most Random theory you've ever heard
DeathBringerZen replied to MyLittleHellhound's topic in General Zombies Discussion
NOT the bad theory you think it is, and it even goes beyond Rise of the Planet of the Apes. The premise for the later George Romero zombie films is the idea of the humans trying to 'train' the zombies into eating animal flesh or getting the zombies NOT to feel the need to attack. Remember Bub... ? http://allgeektomeblog.files.wordpress. ... 06/bub.jpg The idea was to try and bring back that 'human' instinct, with the hope that the zombies could somehow learn again. This was evident again in Land of the Dead, the terrible, awful Romero movie that was a little too 'messagey' for my liking, but explored the idea of zombies slowly regaining memories and feeling. Anyway... good thoughts, and not beyond the realm of possibility. After all... it is guys like Romero and his movies that inspired the game in the first place. -
You Can "Gain" Persistent Upgrades in MOTD, but...
DeathBringerZen replied to Flammenwerfer's topic in Mob of the Dead
Actually mate... He might be right on this one. I was able to revive quicker in one of my last MotD co-op matches, and I just assumed they had added a hotfix to make reviving faster on this map. I only remembered it happened after reading that comment. I am going into a game soon. If I get a chance to revive I will try to take note, but I definitely think the persistant QR does work on MotD! -
Yeah mate... when I actually tried throwing it at the very top of the pit near the wall with the Hellhound image on it and it took! I was completely dumbfounded. Made me think of all those times I was convinced I had not obtained enough kills and went back to the bridge. Probably turns out I only had to do that when it would not take the Retriever normally. lol
-
Hey Chum... I followed your guide from the Activision forum, and I have now managed to get ALL 4 players to obtain the Redeemer in my last 4 matches. The one problem we were having was that sometime the Retriever would not go into the pit, but thanks to GulfCoastGirl, I now know what to do. If the Retriever does not get accepted in the pit, go prone and through it at the top of the pit instead. Has worked for me now on 3 occasions that the pit would not take it.

You Can "Gain" Persistent Upgrades in MOTD, but...
DeathBringerZen replied to Flammenwerfer's topic in Mob of the Dead
Yes. Quick Revive, Deadshot and the likes, can all be obtained in MotD and carried over to Die Rise or Tranzit, but they are just not usable on MotD. This has been the case with NTZ also. I got 24 revives on a game of NTZ, and the next time I played Tranzit, I had QR, even though I KNOW I did not have it previously. Last time I played Die Rise, after a week of MotD, I lost TWO persistant perks on round 4. Not sure what they were, but got the sound twice during round 4 to let me know of my loss. I assume one was Deadshot, but unsure of the other. -
I actually think you could be on to something, though maybe not Semtex. All the 'secret' weapons we obtain fill the various slots we have. Retriever/Redeemer fills the L2/LB Tactical slot. BluderGat/AcidGat fills the weapon slot. Spork/Golden Spork fills the Melee slot. We are still due something that will fill the grenade slot, and as Benn & PTG (Boooooooo) keep suggesting, they have one more big MotD 'secret' to reveal, and it is suggested to be another weapon of some kind, so yeah, you may not be far off mate. He (Benn) is claiming that he will reveal in 48 hours if we don't find it, and chances are he is telling the truth, seeing as he got a LOT of leaked info on MotD pre-release, and was clearly given the steps to the secrets, as proven when he put the video with the EE ending just hours after the map was released. PTG are terrible at doing the main easter eggs, so no way they would have done it that quick unless they knew the steps and secrets before hand. I would love someone to find it before this awful lot get to. Really cannot stand that idiot and the group of vulgar children that he surrounds himself with. PlayTheWhoWhatNow?

Rank theory, hash marks and how you play NOW
DeathBringerZen replied to Zombiefaces's topic in General Zombies Discussion
How is going with the experiment now mate? I have not been online today, so not had a chance to see your rank? Also, did you get WaW set up yet on your PC? Custom zombies awaits you... -
The quote regarding Finn's 'First Still' will probably be more a reference to him making an 'illegal' home distillation. Either for personal use, or for selling, but I think it is an alcohol reference as opposed to him actually making the perks. We already know that Group 935 made the perks anyway.

Really? I have barely played MotD in the last week. I found that Tranzit kept me occupied due to the hunt for the 'Next Step', but MotD has lost it's spark too early. There is supposedly one more secret to be found in MotD (according to FatBoy Benn & his (ahem) bias group), and they intend on revealing it soon, so if it is something special, then the map could entice me back again, but there is something missing from MotD that makes it as special a map as say, CotD or Ascension. It is similar in size (bigger actually) to the latter 2 maps, but does not have the same feel to it. DLC 3 is actually due between 3-5 weeks from now, so fingers crossed it delivers, because so far, BO2 has been more that a little disappointing, from a story AND design point of view.

Infest is right... you must have been standing in one of the 'fixed' glitch spots. When they patched a ton of glitches on Die Rise, they added a feature that would push you out of the spot a few feet, and you would be met with the Richtofen laugh, try to persistantly get into the glitch, and it takes your weapons and tactical grenades and reverts you back to having the pistol. This is what happened to you.

Lord Grrr's Meat Grinder Strategy(TM)
DeathBringerZen replied to DeathBringerZen's topic in Mob of the Dead
This wasn't really a better player than you sort of thing, death did say something about me being worse than somebody else yet he hasn't played with me, it was just him saying he has the fastest mid round strategy when it isn't lol I did not say I was better you, just that the person who created this strategy is one of the very BEST, in the world at zombies. Guy got to round 76 on Die Rise before even building the Sliquifier. Got to 99 with it. 9000+ Headshots. Yeah... this is just a strategy thread... not a 'mines is bigger than yours' thread. I already know BS is good anyway, seeing as I have read some of his strategies. Still... I am pretty good too. Oh, and I am still convinced our strategy got us to the end of 33 quicker than the bridge strategy did, but that would be down to getting power ups constantly, where as your strategy revolves around us NOT getting any, am I correct? It is a case that when you finishe the 'Meat Grinder' strategy, you then go down and hold the cafeteria for the rest of the game. 3 players to a window each, one running the front and using the trap. With this being the case, round 40 is reachable within just a few hours. Still not putting down the bridge strategy though... it is a great strat that works just as well. -
I have also metioned this in the past. If we 'Break the Cycle', and alter the past, would that not then change the future? Maybe it is not preventing the original events on Alcatraz though, and instead is just preventing the cycle the mobsters are living out in this 'Eternal Damnation', so the murder or Arlington still takes place, but his soul is freed from Hell in order to aid/assist whoever (Richtofen probably) is helping him do it? It is a strange turn that the story has taken, and with them all being dead already, it seems more likely that we ARE trying to break the 'Eternal Damnation' as opposed to actually changing the past. The point of where this hellish nightmare is taking place in the timeline is the mystery. How long have they been living this 'Groundhog Day' scenario? Seems long enough for Group 935's activities to have taken place. We have the perk machines phasing in and out, so they would have to have been created by this point, and it is possibly as far on as when Richtofen finally entered the MPD, as he has the power to phase the perks in to assist Arlington... if it is of course Ricky who is doing it. Anyway... great post mate. :)

Lord Grrr's Meat Grinder Strategy(TM)
DeathBringerZen replied to DeathBringerZen's topic in Mob of the Dead
I have seen you since day one on here, and on a few occasions, including with myself, you have shot things down, and almost refused to budge on things. My apologies for flat out suggesting you are like that all the time though... My response was inline with what I thought was an insulting remark. The strategy was tested out again by me tonight, and when all 4 players are in there, the zombies continuously flow into the doorway. There is no delay in waiting for them, so whether they spawn downstairs or not, they are constantly pouring into the door, so there is no waiting for them. It is a fast strategy, and has proven for US, to be faster than the bridge. It may time differently for others, but I suppose that is dependent on how things pan out in the game. Power ups, obtaining of sporks etc. -

Richtofen Actually Good? Maxis Evil
DeathBringerZen replied to FatedTitan's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Yeah, great post again Fated, and one that I am sure is probably correct. Either way, I am definitely convinced that Richtofen IS the lesser of two evil's in this tale of twists and turns. Maxis is the bad guy! -
Lord Grrr's Meat Grinder Strategy(TM)
DeathBringerZen replied to DeathBringerZen's topic in Mob of the Dead
A little condesending from you, but I have come to expect that from you now anyway. Look, you do your stat if you want, I am just promoting another strategy from a friend who is vastly better at the game than you or me. We did it, and it worked out great for us. We got insta-kills and nukes galore, and the rounds flew by. Definitely went by faster than when WE did the bridge strategy, but maybe that was just luck of the drops. Still... If it's not for you, fair enough. -
Well, I am more inclinded to believe it will spell RUIN that I do, think it will spell RUSS. If I see another "Hey guy's I think the DLC will spell RUSS" thread, I think I might just crack...

Lord Grrr's Meat Grinder Strategy(TM)
DeathBringerZen replied to DeathBringerZen's topic in Mob of the Dead
Yeah, the spot on the bridge has it's advantages over this one to some extent, but sorry, it is NOT faster. When you are on the bridge, you need to deal with MULTIPLE brutus' and it shaves off time. The strat we suggested is all round better for obtaining shields, power ups and less Brutus'. Did you actually try timing doing it over 10 or 20 rounds as opposed to 1 round? 1 round on the bridge with 1 Brutus may have been less, but now compare 1 round with 5 Brutus', compared to 1 round on the island. -

Mate, I am CONSTANTLY linking people to YOUR threads over on the Activision forums, and talking about you. I love the work you put in to decoding and deciphering the riddles. You are one of the best on here at doing it, and it is ALWAYS a pleasure to read your thoughts and opinions. Hope to share to thoughts on the DLC's and more soon. :) -
Ammo?Gun? Permaperk Lost!! game saved proof
DeathBringerZen replied to Why1sTheRumGone's topic in TranZit
Let me just set the record straight here... the Galil is MY woman! lol Yeah, had the same thing happen when I emptied a gun. I think it is a persistant perk based around always having ammo. Maybe actively encouraged Max Ammo drops, but it is definitely something to do with emptying a gun as opposed to keeping a clip in it. Still trying to iron it out and see what I can work out from it, but so far I know that if I keep a gun with at least a clip in it, I never hear it, but the minute I empty a gun, BOOM! there is the noise. Will let you know if I figure it out. -
I think he is talking about the fake playcard going around claiming to be DLC3. Insurgence. @OP... Leaked information on the games are NOT a allowed to be discussed on these pages, but if it helps ease your mind in anyway, the card is a very well done fake. Wait for something official. It shouldn't be long ;)
