  1. Well no previous boss character has been carried over to another map before, or even mentioned again in any storyline, so I don't expect it to be the case this time around either. Still... good theory, and who knows... maybe they will utilize HIM and BRUTUS again. Personally, I just doubt it myself.
  2. Yes, you are correct. When playing the game normally, you cannot go through these portals, if visible in normal mode. You can see through them, but there is an invisible barrier blocking you. Funny though, because in Theater Mode, you CAN go through the portals in normal mode. This is how we found out that the supposed crack in the floor beside the body on the tomb is NOT a crack, and is just a poor lighting effect that is supposed to be coming from below the door beside the body.
  3. My thoughts exactly. Good enough theory, but to much emphasis on what is essentially just a boss character. I doubt he will play ANY kind of key role in the storyline or the future of zombies. George never featured in the storyline again, and he was a self aware zombie of sorts, only he actually WAS walking the Earth. He could have potentially wanted to seek out the powers of the MPD also, but didn't. I take Brutus as nothing more than just another boss we must face, and give him no more attention than I do George, The Spaceman, The Pentagon Thief or even the Avogadro. All boss-like characters who play no major role in the storyline... at least not that we know of.
  4. Yeah, it can on occasion spawn a Brutus as opposed to the 24 zombies. Good if you are playing a CO-OP match, but blows if you are planning a points haul on solo. Either way, I have had it happen a fair few times.
  5. This is exactly what I thought when I seen it. It is obviously NOT an upgraded Retriever. There is a player in the middle of the horde who then goes down. Also seems a little early in the game for them to have a third upgrade, and to be messing around at the docks.
  6. Bumping this thread as it has become the topic of discussion on here and over on the Activision forum recently. I think that a lot of people who are new to zombies would appreciate knowing this. Great post by the way. :)
  7. I really think this is a xbox problem because it is hacking and not glitching. I dont know much about hacking but im pretty sure the hacks that work for xbox will notwork on ps3. But yea being given god mode and then just sitting there is crazy. I would not be too concerned about this hack. It is done by specific people, who know how to connect their XBOX directly to a PC or Laptop, and access the in-game console to alter there health status and manipulate the round speed. There is not very many people out there with the knowledge to create USB/Serial adapter through soldering various wires to the North and South bridge of an XBOX board. It is not getting done through a JTAG, so this guy is basically a skilled programmer, doing it purely for the sake of seeing if he CAN! Looking at his past games, he clearly does not even play BO2, and is just showing off his skills. Much in the same way the other guys with over a billion miles/gibs/bullets fired/doors etc are doing on the same leaderboards. Treyarch will NEVER be able to fix something like this, only remove them when they find them.
  8. You do a lot of work on here mate, and Matuzz was most delighted when I linked him to this thread. He thought his older posts got lost during the site overhaul. Again thought, keep it up man... you do this community proud.
  9. You do put a lot of work onto this site mate, and Matuzz was most pleased when I linked him yo this thread. He thought his work was lost when the site got it's renovation. Again, good work man... you do this community proud.
  10. Well, we will know after the first patch or not if it is intentional or not. The old WaW and BO1 method of obtaining two of the same weapon was a glitch in the games mechanics that ment if you were down, your guns were not registered as being in-play. This method is similar, and as such, is probably not something they intended. The 4 Sliq trick was gone after one day, but the hacker glitch remained on Moon after patches, because it was a risk hitting the box in some spots without a P.E.S, so was not exactly 100% beneficial to the player, so time will tell whether it get's patched or not.
  11. Exactly. I don't quit in a match unless I musthead off somewhere and I know that the game is not important for me enough to delay what I need to do. You can't really determine a method of tracking rage quitters versus those who need to take a mandatory leave because the game registers a quit as a quit and nothing more. I'll agree on readjusting the leaderboards. Have it the way it used to be, that's all. If a person leaves, oh well - the game will just count the other players then and not the one that left. I am for Treyarch implementing a system similar to the MP one, where a player gets a 3 x 10 minute playing ban for quiting/dashboarding/lagging out a game, then it increases to 20 minute bans, 40 minutes, 60 minutes etc. This would force people with genuinely poor connections to sort it out with their ISP rather than constantly blaming them. People with poor connections may not be able to help it sometimes, but they also mess people games up too, and that is unfair also. If your connection is weak, then you probably should not be playing online with people on a game that effectively ruins everyone elses game too, when a player lags out. Either way, they need to do something quickly, because this is a growing pandemic.
  12. Both of Infest's poster are awesome! Well done man. If you get a chance to read this Infest, you done any other ones? I would love to see a collection of them.
  13. That was a fantastic read there Blitz. Always a pleasure man... Keep it up! :D
  14. I take it you own a copy of Black Ops 2, yes? How about you start a game of Tranzit, keep a zombie at the end of round 1, and then casually stroll up to the tunnel and check it out yourself? Less hassle than it would take for me to upload a clip to Youtube, and you would also be able to examine it yourself without having to reference someone elses work. Not everything that gets posted needs PROOF you know. I posted it to ask if anyone knew what the sound was, or why now... not to prove I am telling the truth. Go into a game and stop being lazy, or just ignore it and move on. Jeez...
  15. This has bothered me too, and it could be possible the creative team did not do their homework on it properly, but any thought's on this are best left until we at least go into the game first. It could be very possible that these escape plans were drawn up by previous prisoners, and are found by our new group. This could explain the dates, but again, it is all mere speculation at the minute.
  16. An event could have happened in 1932 that we do not know about. As much as I hate to say it, just because we are directly given a date as simple as that does not officiate our time for this map. This an interesting postcard that I found which was taken/created in 1932. We can see the past Alcatraz, but it doesn't mean that it was open by that time like it's known be in 1934...strange. Hmm... I might look into seeing what the island was original used for, prior to it housing a prison. Yeah, I agree that nothing means anything until we get a chance to play it, so it is all speculation until then. I just found it strange as to why they had, what appears to be plans to escape, dating back as far as 1932, when, as Scooter pointed out (I also pointed this same thing out yesterday on the Activision Forums), when it was not used for federal purposes, until 1934. This was where my original comment on them maybe not taking the history of the island into proper account came from. Either way, historically accurate, or not... I am extremely excited by the prospects of what it will add to the zombie storyline. The red eyes are the main question I would like answered from first play. Who is in control? Who will be the narrative? If the events precede the Group935 115 experiments, how did the outbreak occur? Sooooooooo many questions... :D
  17. Yes, all the date tells us is that it is definitely set AFTER 1932. You guys are right, there is every chance it could be years after then. My historical issues are not just weapon related, and all were outside of zombies. They have made lots of mistakes with guns, during campaign modes. There is building inaccuracies throughout the CoD series too. CoD2 Had some, as did CoD4 and MW2. If they can slip up on weapon maufacturing dates for the campaign modes, or inaccuracies with building structures or errection dates for some landmarks, again in campaigns, then it does not necessarily mean it can't happen in zombies. Still, I was just pointing out the date on the page showing an escape plane in progress, and I would be surprised if the characters we play did not create that. So, as you pointed out, if it did not become a federal prison till 1934, then how did they get in there before then, and then start creating an escape plan... Which they dated 1932?
  18. Apologies... I saw your comment, and hit the quote button without going through the rest of the thread. It happens mate. Well, in regards to the historical references... it depends on how long you have been playing CoD games. I have been playing since the first one on PC, then the second, and then the transition over to consoles. There was things on the original (very first CoD), like weapons being used that were not in production at that time. In Black Op 1, we use the M16 in 1961, even though it was not used by the armed forces till 1967. The AK74 was also seen in 1964 (campaign again), yet was not made till well into the 70's. Fortunate Son by Creedence Clearwater Revival - Played in 1968, incorrect as the song was not released till 1969 L96A1 Sniper Rifle incorrectly place in this game, officially introduced to the British Army in 1982, designed in 1980 by Accuracy International. There is plenty of others, but my point is that they probably just didn't do their homework on the island, if it IS set in the 30's. Either way, we will not know until it is released, so until then all we can do is speculate anyway. :)
  19. That mean's nothing. Treyarch are well known for not doing their homework properly in games. Anyway, it is all but confirmed it IS in the 30's, as they have made an escape plan up, and it is dated, as seen in the top right hand corner of the left page, here... http://gyazo.com/8970eb2314ff5187df7e46a1e61b3200
  20. I am not able to take a picture at the moment, as I am at work, but can tell you that the sound is heard at the exact point of entry to the tunnel, when entering from the Diner side. Exactly as you first enter the tunnel, the engine sound is heard, then when you move a few feet in either direction, the sound fades. To me, it sounds like is coming from above the tunnel, rather than from a vehicle nearby. Still, it may just be that they have amplified the SFX more with a recent update, but still seems to stand out more than most noises in-game. Very strange...
  21. The Huangshan Floating City Mirage was debunked as soon as it came to light. There was an island in the middle of the river which housed an Amusement Park, Hotel, and 9 hole Golf Course, and it was the heavy rain fall that buried some of the island in water, exposing some of the tree's, and some the mist covered the lower part of the buildings, making it appear to be a floating city. Residents from that area debunked it on Youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MbMJwyJZL7k Still... could have been the inspiration for them to do it.
  22. BOOM... and there goes the dynamite!!!
  23. We all thought that Who's, who, would play a part in the Die Rise Easter Egg, and it turned out to be false. I cannot imagine Treyarch would really expect us to take a down, in order to complete an Easter Egg, but then again, from the description that Benjy (Booooo) put out, if we end up on the bridge mid-game, then it could be possible that the only route back onto the island itself, would be to use one of the electric chairs, thus taking a down. Clever move, that will force people to enjoy the game, rather than protecting a pointless emblem, that in reality, means nothing. Hope this IS the case regarding the EE... but I am still a little dubious.
  24. It is likely that there is NO navcard or table within MotD, if we are to go by what Benn (Boooooooo) said in his video. I am also of the impression that the final Navcard we require for the Tranzit table, will not just be found lying around on the final DLC map, but instead, be obtained through completion of the final EE, then, when obtained, we can return to Green Run, and insert it in that card reader, possibly triggering a new EE on Tranzit? It would make sense, seeing as, if we could just find it lying around on the final map, what is stopping us just going straight to Green Run, and using it, while bypassing the final maps EE. That is just a theory though. Still... as HE said, there is a possibility that we do NOT have a Navacard or Table on MotD. Time will tell though... not long now. :D
  25. Yeah, I am fully aware of the underground train sound that can be heard in town, and yes, it did sound similar... only MUCH louder. I have tried this since I posted the message, and it can still be heard. Walking from the diner towards the tunnel, as you first come to the entrance, it can be heard. The Denizens can be very distracting, but you can still hear the sound very clearly. I am just a little surprised, that after walking over 4000 in-game miles around Green Run, I have only just noticed this now. To me, it sounds like a generator running above the tunnel, but why now?, maybe it is just new ambient sounds they have added, but just seems weird to do it now... 4 months after release!?!
