What if our Four Heroes came from the Future?
DeathBringerZen replied to Abel's topic in Research & Development
Maybe common knowledge in some parts, but the time pocket "theory" is not widely accepted by everyone. Plenty of other people have come up with great interpretations of the storyline that do not feature these pockets created by the rockets hitting Earth. There is also nothing in-game that suggests concretely that the time pockets are fact! Take for example your suggestions about the writing on the walls in Nacht or Verruckt. Do you not feel the writing could be put there by previous occupants who came up against and lost in their battle against zombies? It is more believable than the idea that they are messages sent through time and space to warn people.- 33 replies

What if our Four Heroes came from the Future?
DeathBringerZen replied to Abel's topic in Research & Development
So you are not basing your story on Benn's "time pocket" theory? The reason I say you are is because he is the only person I know of to use that theory... no one else, so straight of the bat you ARE basing some of your tale on his work. Then you link one of their music videos which is another part of your inspiration, so that is now TWO things you are taking inspiration from. I am not trying to shit on you Abel, and if you read back both of MY replies you will see that I am simply saying that it would be nice to see your own take on things. I am also not trying to get a final word in here, and will prove that by not replying to the thread anymore, so you can reply with whatever you like and I promise not to intervene anymore. I like you Abel, but you need to be more open minded to the idea that Benn did not write the storyline nor will he ever be affiliated to Treyarch. He is just a fan with a good contact... that is all. His work IS fan fiction just like anyone elses on here and should not be treated as factual.- 33 replies

Let me just stop you there! There was NO announcement regarding the Modern Warfare collection, and I can guarantee you right now that the image that was circulating regarding such a game was 100% fake. The zombie collection image is also fake. If it was real, why would it say 'Advanced Warfare' at the top but not feature the Sledgehammer logo alongside the Treyarch one? Why would it even say AW on it anyway? The guy who put the video out on Youtube about it faked it himself. He has been spamming multiple forums and social media outlets with it and they all link back to him. He also get's overly defensive when flaws are pointed out with it. This community would believe tartan paint was a real thing. Jeez...

Welcome back Eric. Look forward to your contributions.

Red dot up in the sky, seen from GG Bridge?
DeathBringerZen replied to RdJokr's topic in Mob of the Dead
It has been confirmed to be the fire pit you throw the Retriever into. Someone noclipped the map on the PC version in a video and it can be seen to be the pit. -
Saw that supposed Gamestop leak for the Xbox One Call of Duty : Zombie Collection last night. Hilarious how obviously fake it was! When will people learn.

Maybe like a remastered compilation of all the "icons" from the old maps into one amazing pic.
I reckon that Modern Warfare collection is fake too, Activi$ion hype up their money makers too much to release a game straight after with probably more hype.

The Ultimate Maxis Theory
DeathBringerZen replied to Black Hand Smith's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Another reason why I believe he killed himself! He planned to have himself obsorbed into the computer as a backup plan incase Richtofen succeeded in replacing Samantha in the device. Him and Samantha were doomed to die on Griffin Station if she was convinced to leave the MPD. Richtofen knew that Maxis was the only one who could convince her to come out, so there is little chance he would have want him dead until that happened.- 19 replies

The Ultimate Maxis Theory
DeathBringerZen replied to Black Hand Smith's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I am with BHS on this one. I see a lot of people trying to convice him that Maxis did not kill himself yet if you listen to the radio message it does indeed sway more in favour that he did kill himself. He knew that he and Samantha would be killed if he coaxed her out, so he sacraficed himself to save her while giving her a reason to reap revenge. As for him carrying a gun... If I worked with zombies closely I would be packing, so that one should be a given. Either way, we will NEVER know for sure, but the way the audio log plays out, I am as convinced now as I was back then that he did indeed take his own life.- 19 replies

Was these 3 games you went down recently? As for solo, it does not affect solo... only co-op. We have managed to find a workaround anyway, but really we should not have to. These type of things should not be happening, and I personally think it is a disgrace sometimes just how poor the programming is over at Treyarch. They earn a LOT of money thanks to the CoD franchise... the least they could do is make the game properly, or if they are tied to these "time constraints", then they should not be so over ambitious with some of the maps.
-
It does not matter if it's solo, co-op or offline. Dhaniska's guide is right minus one thing... you can shoot on the bridge when you get there. You cannot get the second notification on the bridge until at least the final kill on 10. It is impossible to get it before the end of 10, so as Dhan said, the absolute minimum round the Redeemer is obtainable is round 12. I always shoot Brutus when I get to the bridge to get rid of him quick and it never prevents me from getting the upgrade. One thing to note... when playing on co-op, everyones position where they have to throw the Retriever into the pit is different. Some can throw it right into the pit, some have to throw it near the top etc. I have seen people throw their Retriever well over a dozen times before they find that sweet spot and the Retriever finally get's taken. Either way, you can definitely get the first set of kills anywhere, but you MUST spend at least one full round on the bridge up to the end of round 10.
-
There seems to be a lot of confusion with this step, but I can shed some light. Once you obtain the Retriever, you can get the kills required to get the first part of the upgrade anywhere. On the island or the bridge. Then once you go to the bridge, you need to get at least ONE kill on the bridge with the retriever... you CAN shoot as much as you like, but once you have got the one kill required, you must stay on the bridge for one whole round. You will get the notification sound that means it has worked on the last kill of the round it is required. Return to the island and throw the retriever into the pit to get the upgrade! (tried and test over 100 times)

Love it Nait! I have always been a firm believer that Maxis did indeed kill HIMSELF on Griffin Station. The reason why is down to what he said in the radio message. He knew that he and Samantha would be killed by Richtofen (or his group) if he coaxed her out of the MPD, so he accepted his fate (with a plan on the side) and told Samantha... "I need you do do something for me... Kill them all!" He knew his own fate along with that of his daughters was sealed, so he concocted a plan to prevent Richtofen from having control over the Earth. At the time we assumed this plan was simply to take away Edwards plaything, but BO2 revealed that his plan was actually to try and gain access to Agartha where he could be reunited with Samantha. My only issue with this direction was that Edward was now in the MPD, so why was Maxis trying to get to Agartha to free Samantha when she is actually still alive and well (technically) on Griffin Station. At what point in the story did she go to Agartha!? That aside, I always assumed Tranzit took place very soon after the events of Moon. Maybe not directly afterwards, but I would say months rather than years. Brains awarded!

Well, it is unlikely that the dirty glitching OP will reply to you seeing as his post is some 17 months old, but yeah, there is a way that losers can glitch out George or even make him disappear completely not to return. It is only for those of low moral fibre though.
-
You do not need to build the table on Tranzit OR Buried when doing the EE, but for some reason it is a must on Die Rise. Once you build that you are good to start it and it WILL work. All parts are on the rooftop anyway. Table is beside the navcard building area, power box is on the wall outside the rooftop box spawn, meteor is round next to the claymores and the radio is behind the ramp leading down to MP5K. Good luck.
-
The navcard table needs to be built for the first step to activate. Chances are, it was not built in your game. That is the only known reason for the first step not to work.

Did they not just nerf the damage the elemental flops did as opposed to actually patching it out? I remember people saying the ice and fire were one hit kill till around 60+, but I never tried it myself. I always felt PHD was a waste of time on Origins anyway so never bothered taking it in the early days. Only take it on solo so as not to take any damage from exploding panzers nowadays.
-
Only if you have QR I believe so it respawns you into the map in a stock state, like when you fall off a building in Die Rise and respawn in the starting room with nothing but what you start the game with.
-
I would go as far as saying 99.9%. We actually tested it out quite a bit for a few weeks and one person in our group who did not have it could NOT obtain it on Die Rise or Tranzit no matter how many times they tried. He had buried but hated it instantly from day one and never returned to it. He got it first time he bought all his perks on round 1 of an EE game with us. Also tested how to lose it and as I have said, went into numerous EE games (a lot of which were with people from here), and when playing Tranzit or Die Rise, I would buy only Jugg, or on rare occasion, Stamina on Tranzit. Games would go past round 4 almost always, yet perk would always remain. I have lost it myself on 3 occasions when getting downed on purpose and having a friend revive me, and always got the sound of losing it when I was revived with no perks remaining.
-
That is not actually the case. I play numerous EE matches were I only buy Jugg and still have the persistent perk. You only lose persistent Tombstone if you go down enough times to actually lose ALL your perks. For example, if you buy 4 perks on Buried and go down, you will come up with 3. Go down again and you come up with 2, then 1, then none. Once you are revived and come back with no perks you lose the persistent perk. I have only noticed the perk being lost when this happens to people with 4 or more perks. If I was to go into a game and buy 1 perk then go down before I buy another I still have the perk. It also seems that the only map you can obtain the persistent perk on is Buried, though it carries over to Tranzit and Die Rise.

I have cleared my cache already, and even went to the length of deleting my DLC then redownloading it. It did not help, but maybe if the other players in my game cleared theirs it might help. Will give it a try at least. Thanks Nait.

It's a shame you are on PS3 mate... you sound like my type of team-mate!
-
I agree Boom. I don't use Skype too often (which is why I was not overly present in the beta group chat ), and would prefer to just use the chat on the site. If a person I am specifically looking for is not in chat, then fair enough I can tweet or skype them, but I am all for the chat being an option. I use several other sites with chat rooms and they all still get enough posts made to warrant keeping it. There is somethings that you simply cannot post in chats, like epic threads based on new found ideas or conclusions. I am all for keeping it!
-
I am glad the chat room has been added. As I have said previously, I am a moderator over on the UGX (custom zombie) forum, and that site has a chat room at it does not affect the forum side in the slightest. New posts are still produced in abundances, and the chat is more helpful for people looking for team-mates or quick answers, or just for people to chat away, discussing general nonsense. As for the new layout, it was strange at first, but I have adapted to it quickly, and I appreciate that WaW and BO1 gets more attention and focus now. Good job all round guys.

All I keep seeing on my Twitter feed is people spamming Treyarch/Jimmy/Vonderhaar regardng DLC 5! I think I follow too many kids to be honest. Time for a clear out!
