  1. I never got the impression that Maxis was a good guy. He was the unseen protagonist in the original maps and story arc but this is only a rivalry between the 2 doctors. A vendetta based on jealousy and revenge. Only to the N4 are we being given the impression that he is a helpful party to our cause. The most important thing to understand about Maxis and Richtofen is that they are manipulative and secretive. This we come to understand almost immediately. Richtofen gives us vague descriptions and cryptic clues and Maxis gives us convoluted technical jargon to get us to accomplish their tasks without asking too many questions. If we have any reason at all to trust Maxis or Richtofen right now, it is because they are both promising to heal our world or solve our problems in one way or another. These two are the reason the earth is in the condition it is in. They are also naturally at odds with each other but are both making similar promises and we seem to be carrying out similar tasks for either party. This information causes me to be very weary and suspicious of either of the doctors. I don't think either is good or ever has been. We see in game that there IS a party helping us survivors directly. Empowering us in every way they can. We are hindered at every turn by zombies, creatures and mysterious tasks, but we are being helped by someone. I believe that there is a "good" side hidden in all of this, but do not attribute it to Maxis just yet. We are given the Mystery Box and Teleporters. Maxis was Chief scientist on the MTD but I don't believe he has any power to transport us. That just creates alot of conflicts logically. But the energy source (As pointed out by Tac.) is purple in color and we know that each entity has their own significant energy color.
  2. I read this and instantly thought you were trolling. I finished reading the whole thing tho and it seems you are serious. Why the blank spots? Anyway. If you see Die Rise loading screen on the nuketown page there is a bus depo card from the loading screen.Green Run had NO comic page so it is represented chronologically by placing the card in the page. Simple as that. You could probably benefit from searching the forums, because this topic has been beaten to death with the same exact theories that you have.
  3. @MNM1995 it seems that saying there is only one voice is jumping to conclusions. to me anyway. We have evidence of other voices. speaking to Richtofen. Even when we played Richtofen we never actually heard the voices. I understand your probably locked in on the one voice theory but you should try keeping an open mind. On Moon Samantha says "There are far worse things than you in there." That seems to be hinting at something. Then there is the whole (bear with me as i try and spell this) Michantuhli aspect. There is a reference to him in MOON (in adverts. "Idle Idol") and the new Nuketown loading screen. Just sayin...
  4. I agree the mystery man does appear to be Stu. his posture is similar. This doesn't add up though because they havent arrived yet. Or am I missing something? After bouncing around the forums for nearly an hour now, I am so confused about the new maps. They do indeed have the 1999 era tech at GLF, but that would imply that China wasn't affected by the missiles. (as previously stated by another comment.) It is possible that China was not affected largely, and only fell when the meteors began raining. The 115 released into the atmosphere and infected everyone.
  5. I have experienced this too. only the box ONLY pumped out Chicombs. literally... 3x times hitting it with 2 differnt people and we got Chicomb everytime. It was a Red Orb at the Diner. I personally did not have Maxis' done. Only Richtofen. The match host was the one who had the Maxis EE done.
  6. I may be one of the people at odds with the general forums but I completely disagree. no offense, I do not mean to be rude. We cannot assume it is Richtofen talking. Although it is easy to make that assumption, I am not quite ready to YET. There are still too many variables. As for your "introduce Stu's plight to new gamers" the, it just doesn't add up. That movie scene was confusing for the most knowlegable zombies player. How on earth could this be some form of introduction to the zombies lore? All new players can take from that intro is that the world is over, we teleport and dude is hearing voices. Secondly there are further complications to the implications of Richtofen being able to reverse time. Could we argue that Sam could do it too? Why wouldn't she save her father, if so? She basically watched him die, and this is the cause for her vendetta. Yes she is a little girl, and may not understand her power or how to use it, but children are more open minded and creative than adults. She would have tried to save him in any way possible. for all intents and purposes we CAN assume that Richtofen is talking and reversed time somehow to further his own agenda,I am not saying this is wrong. I am just trying to say that the theory, although straight forward, seems to clash with the story. Further more, why would Richtofen say these words before the crew dies and respawns. They don't remember what he says, so for whose benefit is he saying this? This is a question directed at no one in particular. I don't mean to try and shoot down your theories. Im sure you know what your talking about. In nearly every other instance of time travel, we see it visualized in the loading screens. However this one shows the second arrival to the site and not the first.
  7. Very interesting! Really goodjob to everyone who contributed! THIS is the reason I joined. people are so brilliant on these forums. The more I learn, the less I think Iknow. The "Wyoming" Incident is fake tho, just to clear that up. The tiniest bit of research came up with that information. I totally agree. We are seeing a pattern here. The 60's. It seems the course of history was augmented around the 60's and that is the time frame they draw inspiration from. Nuclear Energy or weapons seem to play a large part of zombies in BOII.
  8. no i didnt mean to offend. seems like i may have. i only ment that the crawlers dont seem to be a clue of any kind. I once thaught the same thing on tranzit about the denizens. That perhaps the DLC would be underground because of the way they behaved and looked. I was completely off base. You may be right, but I don't see it. Although I can see where your coming from, the webbed fingers is interesting. In terms of storyline, these creatures DO have an origin. No one else has tried hashing out what the origin may be, so that was my attempt at it. I don't like trying to predict future maps or events any more, even though occasionally I find myself doing it, mainly because I am wrong more often then not.
  9. The best theory I have: After PaPing with team of 4. stay downstairs and have 2 ppl watch windows and 2 ppl watch hallways. Preferably with explosives. Upstairs in the doorway to the bank vault try placing turret facing towards hallway and have players take turns planting turbines. Try planting a sheild in front to stop the zombies. only when the zombies become numerous willthe sheild break and you lose the turret.
  10. I have done a bit of analyzing and come to the conclusion that this IS Stu(duh). I compared other animated images of him from other scenes in the intro and it indeed is him. He is wearing same clothes and same messy hairstyle. I also have come to think that he is NOT a zombie in these images. (Most already know this, but I was personally theorizing that he was zombified.) He holds the limb in his hands with intent and in the images we see he appears to be ashamed by the way he is hidden. I have no doubts that he chose to eat the flesh of his own free will, but I believe it was done out of desperation and survival instinct and not because of the cult. The cult transmissions could have been broadcasted for years and at some point perhaps Stu heard these and figured he was gonna die if he didnt eat the flesh.
  11. Hello all, If full image is not displayed then right click and find "View Image". I have noticed that in quite a few loading screens there are mysterious figures lurking around. In Nuketown loading screen we see a small mystery figure. (or 2) As well as in Die Rise loading screen. A man is perched looking outward. I would just like to hear any information anyone might have on these mysterious people we see around. Also while I have your attention, there are a few things I have been noticing on the loading screens. I would just like to hear everyones thoughts. Moon - We see an add on the left that says "Idle Idol"and appears to have the image of the Ancient God of the dead whose name appears on the Nuketown loading screen as the label of the candy wrapper. We also see a Vril Craft among other various CoDz releated objects. Also, I reeeaaaalllly need someone to fill me in, as I am a bit hazy on Shangri-La. I see in the image of the loading screen that among the debris in the whirlwind or tornado we see 2 STEEL BALLS. My question is; Could these be the same ones we see in Die Rise? Does anyone have any information on what these devices actually do or what their purpose or origin is? Thaughts, comments, concerns? Looking for some informed feedback, not theories.
  12. I like your name NOVA Phasers. sounds too star trekkie tho. NOVA jumpers, I like. Although NOVA is not inolved. Personally, I think you may be reading too deeply into it. These creatures serve a specific purpose in the zombie world. We just don't know what yet. The NOVA crawlers were created by man, so we can assume that this incarnation were also created by man. Perhaps the Germans made Crawlers and the americans made Denizens as an "Arms Race" and the Chinese were using altared intel to create their own. Perhaps these creatures were created in response to each other's creatures, each nation trying to "1 up" eachother. Maybe they were made to eat zombies after the outbreak and clean the streets but somehow Richtofen gained control of them. They teleport in like dogs used to when under the control of Samantha. That seems more likely.
  13. If I remember correctly, the Gersch Device was originally created as a portal to the Aether. If I am wrong tho please forgive me. It's original use was in some way involved with matter transport to the aether. Although the zombies get sucked in, I believe it was said that the Gersch Device didn't produce enough energy or wasn't powerful enough to transport living things. Therefore it only drops players back into their realm at a different location instead. I may be incorrect tho.
  14. Although it isnt a bad theory, I wouldn't post it here in Asylum. This forum is for people who have a strong grasp on the storyline and want to expand on it or theorize using detailed intel. Maybe this applies to you, but you haven't provided any actual information. I would have posted this in Die Rise or Great Leap Forward. If we don't respect the guide lines for forums then before we know it, Asylum will be cluttered with posts about nothing as it was only a few months ago. They JUST cleaned it up.

    Why is this?

These forums have beeen xploding with new members lately who are also looking for secrets and tips. I joined for the same reasons as you. There are some knowledgeable people here, including the people you mentioned, that are literally all over the place. I personally don't understand how they manage to find the time to write all of these posts and still manage to be polite and informative. There is also alot of new players that are trying to become familiar with the storyline and are falling down the rabbit hole so to speak. Especially with the eXTREMELY over hyped tranzit mode and the EE Quests people were expecting. The legend of the Maxis continuation still haunts these forums.
  16. Yes indeed. I can't wait until this comes full circle. They need to return, its just a matter of time.
  17. If green run really isnt finished. then we are to understand that we cant finish it until all dlcs are released. Think about it... If we were to completely move on to the next step in the EE acheivements then it makes sense that they would come out with a clue or a guide that lets us finish up before moving on. You may not be correct here, but if you arent you surely are close to the pulse. The mode feels unfinished. For now tho lets let sleeping dogs lie until we are to return at the right time.
  18. Infest you always come with some good shxt! I agre 1000x over. I believe the "darker" force that lies in the Aether could be the Ancient God of the underworld that is mentioned on the bubblegum wrapper for nuketown. Although I believe that (as you said) There is a chain of command. Richtofen has broken this chain of command and is essentially a rogue agent playing with time and space. I also believe that while in the Aether he cannot be harmed so they cannot touch him. Therefore they have to trick or convince him into leaving, or being ejected by the N4. Perhaps Stu -Richtofen -Vril -Mictlantecuhtli = for the chain of command. Mictlantecuhtli may be powerful but in Aether is neutral grounds so to speak. This may or may not be why we seem to see a picture of him in the Nuketown loading screen just under the Bubble gum wrapper. (Credit goes out to Mixmasternut for COMPLETELY breaking down Nuketown loading screen into comprehensive data.) Here is a link just so I dont step on any toes. It is a fantastic read too! viewtopic.php?f=103&t=28769
  19. With the Nuketown description for season pass holders, I have come to find that the agents we see in Grief and Survival DO appear to have some overall story relevance. I mean for the Nuketown zombies map the description actually says that a team of scientists were doing research (paraphrasing) and got attacked by zombies. *This indicates Survival mode.* Also directly after that it says how CIA and CDC agents were sent to investigate their mysterious deaths. *This indicates Grief Mode.* I cannot possibly see how the relevance of Turned Mode is questionable anymore. The question is...WHAT can we take from it precisely. Other than the idea that a cure may be out there, or that there may be a hidden power struggle in the Aether, can we assume that the "cured" survivor we play as will ever play a potentially important role? Not implying main character status or anything but perhaps the events of turned mode are to be relevent somehow. Someone (Formerly CDC perhaps) was once a zombie and is now revived. Even if they are weak and doomed to die. Perhaps some form of their conscious remains in tact and they seek out a cure when not being directed towards certain people or objectives.
  20. This is not necessarily true. if you leave the zombie unharmed it will still die eventually. I find that letting them hit you every now and then keeps them active. Or try keeping it near u. (lame i know but works.)
  21. Well said! As a zombo slayer for many a year now, I can only tell you this.... If you have to ask "Whats the point?" in zombies... you dont get it and maybe the game isnt necessarily for you. Zombies is all about the thrill. If your not challenged, up the ante. try achievements that arent in game. like train certain areas. kill zombies with specific gun or actions. The EE... Not being disrespectful, just saying. Alot of the points you made earlier don't really make sense. In GREEN RUN we store money yeah.... but thats not the point of it by a long shot. If anything compares to what you mentioned then killing "him" is your point. The bank is a feature not a quest. No one ca really prove you wrong on these grounds alone. your asking for someone to convince you to have fun in zombies? cant be done my friend. you love it or you hate it. sometimes both at the same time ha. zombies mode is a fickle mistress
  22. THANK U MURDERMACHINEX! i hate this debate that rages about the skybox as you called it. In my experience ppl just wanna argue about it. And I havent come across too many who actually agree with me on this.
  23. I couldnt disagree more! The Radio for Kino that played the info for "great leap foreward" was only on the WII. The fact that they change or remove things from console to console does not mean that the variations in data is irrelevant. The creators of zombies KNOW they have a STRONG following of intelligent zombie enthusiasts who are comparable to to the most dedicated conspiracy theorists. We search and scour and when we find we share it with eachother. This is arguably the ONLY way to decipher the whole story. Ive tried. Scouring the maps fro WaW and BO looking for writing on the walls and clues to what is happening. Even the research is alot harder, you almost NEED a colaborative effort. Unless your a genius or someone who is very resourceful, you will most likely be left with a series of unintelligible clues that you cant quite seem to make sense of. In Zombies the under lying theme is communication. The better your team communicates, the better you will do over all. If you fail to communicate things can go wrong for you very quickly. Raz has even gone as far as to tell people that communication is key. The group 601 may not be relevant yet or even at all. but ANYTHING that helps us paint a better picture of whats happening or what has happened can be considered relevant when we don't know anymore. In BO by the end we KNEW what was happening to a fair degree of certainty. That is all washed clean now and we are back in the dark. Personally.... I feel that 601 probably had something to do with the technology that the group 935 was utilizing to brainwash people and has something to do with all the Spires. That is a gut feeling tho.
  24. those wires are intruiging has anyone tried turbining the wires after power has been turned on/off (on then off again) or perhaps before hand. I have not done maxis easter egg yet! otherwise id be trying this before posting.
  25. YES! this is what fuels my paranoia! Maxis has no image as of yet, in Kino we see blackened pictures that almost TO ME look redacted. Also I never noticed before that the man on the ledge seems a bit taller than what the scale should be. Perhaps a perspective illusion. Also I never noticed his composure. One hand on his chin or face and the other in his pocket as if putting away a pocket watch. We clearly see distorted twisted zombies around so we can distinguish this mystery man. As for the shape of the partial mans head torn off the page, this to me strikes me as a metaphor. A man who is present but completely removed and tearing the "fabric" of time/space. (By this I mean the space on the page representing space and the pages themselves representing time.) I. E. Richtofen.
